The state of cutting tool determines the quality of surface produced on the machined parts.A faulty tool produces poor sur face, inaccurate geometry and non-economic production. Thus,it is necessary to monitor tool condition for a.machining process to have superior quality and economic production. In the pre-sent study, fault classification of single point cutting tool for hard turning has been carried out by employing machine learning technique.Cutting force and vibration signals were acquired to monitor tool condition during machining.A set of four tooling conditions namely healthy, worn flank, broken insert and extended tool overhang have been considered for the study. The machine learning technique was applied to both vibration and cutting force signals.Discrete wavelet features of the signals have been extracted using discrete wavelet trans formation(DWT).This transformation represents a large dataset into approximation coeffcients which contain the most useful information of the dataset.Significant features, among features extracted, were selected using J48 decision tree technique.Clas-sification of tool conditions was carried out us ing Naive Bayes algorithm.A 10 fold cross validation was incorporated to test the validity of classifier.A comparison of performance of classifier was made between cutting force and vibration signal to choose the best signal acquisition method in classifying tool fault conditions using machine learning technique. 展开更多

Aerospace microelectronic technology has become the core competence of aerospace technology. For evaluating the aerospace microelectronic industry, it is necessary to change descriptive language of goal to quantitative index that can be measured. Knowing quantified goals or tree structure and array of general goal system, with certain algorithm and processing each corresponding list or array, we can bring out a quantified general goal value. The multi-objective (multi-attribute) evaluation method and the relevant weight sum algorithm have been adopted to quantitatively evaluate and forecast the developing state of the industry. A practical example illustrates that the applied decision technique and the algorithm are feasible and effective. 展开更多

AIM To determine clinical scores important for automated calculation in the inpatient setting.METHODS A modified Delphi methodology was used to create consensus of important clinical scores for inpatient practice. A list of 176 externally validated clinical scores were identified from freely available internet-based services frequently used by clinicians. Scores were categorized based on pertinent specialty and a customized survey was created for each clinician specialty group. Clinicians were asked to rank each score based on importance of automated calculation to their clinical practice in three categories-"not important", "nice to have", or "very important". Surveys were solicited via specialty-group listserv over a 3-mo interval. Respondents must have been practicing physicians with more than 20% clinical time spent in the inpatient setting. Within each specialty, consensus was established for any clinical score with greater than 70% of responses in a single category and a minimum of 10 responses. Logistic regression was performed to determine predictors of automation importance.RESULTS Seventy-nine divided by one hundred and forty-four(54.9%) surveys were completed and 72/144(50%) surveys were completed by eligible respondents. Only the critical care and internal medicine specialties surpassed the 10-respondent threshold(14 respondents each). For internists, 2/110(1.8%) of scores were "very important" and 73/110(66.4%) were "nice to have". For intensivists, no scores were "very important" and 26/76(34.2%) were "nice to have". Only the number of medical history(OR = 2.34; 95%CI: 1.26-4.67; P < 0.05) and vital sign(OR = 1.88; 95%CI: 1.03-3.68; P < 0.05) variables for clinical scores used by internists was predictive of desire for automation. CONCLUSION Few clinical scores were deemed "very important" for automated calculation. Future efforts towards score calculator automation should focus on technically feasible "nice to have" scores. 展开更多

Land allocation has been an important issue in land use planning research studies.Land allocation involves different multifunctional activities of maximizing environmental, economic and social benefits.Multi-criteria decision making(MCDM)method is the most popular tool to optimize land allocation problems by considering decision variables, conflicting objectives, and criteria.Hence,decision-makers face problems on how to optimize the land allocation while minimizing the conflicting trade-offs existing in the decision analysis. With this review study,we aim at identifying and extracting information on MCDM methods to solve land allocation problems from English language articles published between 2000 and 2019 and indexed by four scientific literature databases(Web of Science,Science Direct,Scopus,Google scholar). To this end,we applied a systematic literature review approach,i.e.the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis procedure(Moher et al.,2009),with a structured database search expression.120 articles were selected of which, after careful screening of title, keywords and abstract,69 were retained for detailed review. This review study report compiles comprehensive information by classifying the papers into application area, optimization objectives, criteria used, decision techniques, publication year and study region. In summary,we found that in the last two decades, the use of the MCDM method has increased, particularly in Europe and China.AHP(analytical hierarchal process)is frequently used for multi-attribute land allocation problems with reference to ecotourism and ecosystem management.LP(linear programming)and SA(simulating annealing)methods are predominantly used to optimize multi-objectives complex agricultural and forest land allocation problems respectively. 展开更多
