The network studied in this paper consists of two types of agents, namely, loyal agents and attack agents. The loyal agents update their states based on delayed state information exchanged with their neighbors. This paper proposes an enhanced model predictive discrete-time sliding mode control with a new sliding function for a linear system with state delay. Firstly, a new sliding function including a present value and a past value of the state, called dynamic surface, is designed by means of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Then, using this dynamic function and the rolling optimization method in the predictive control strategy, a discrete predictive sliding mode controller is synthesized. This new strategy is proposed to eliminate the undesirable effect of the delay term in the closed loop system. Also, the designed control strategy is more robust, and has a chattering reduction property and a faster convergence of the system s state. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed control.展开更多

The unknown time-varying delay uncer- tainties are compensated for using appropriate Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals in the design. The approach removes the assumption of linear function outside the deadband without necessarily constructing a dead-zone inverse as an added contribution. By utilizing the integral-type Lyapunov function and introducing an adaptive compensation term for the upper bound of the residual and optimal approximation error as well as the dead-zone disturbance, the closed-loop control system is proved to be semi-globally uniformly ultimately bounded. In addition, a modified adaptive control algorithm is given in order to avoid the high-frequency chattering phenomenon. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach.展开更多

Some of these serial communication networks like controller area network (CAN) or industrial Ethernet will introduce random transfer delays into the networked control systems (NCS), which causes control performance degradation and even system instability. To address this problem, the adaptive predictive functional control algorithm is derived by applying the concept of predictive functional control to a discrete state space model with variable delay. The method of estimating the networkinduced delay is also proposed to facilitate the control algorithm implementing. Then, an NCS simulation research based on TrueTime simulator is carried out to validate the proposed control algorithm. Time delay is ubiquitous in mechanical, physical, ecological, physiological, biological, economic, electronic, and chemical systems due to finite propaga- tion speeds of signals, finite reaction times, and finite processing times.
