In this research, students having online classes of a practical-based fabric design subject were encouraged to self-study from Open Educational Resource (OER) materials for a further and better understanding of their subject. Additionally, online materials were developed to improve students’ understanding via skill of digital literacy. Their learning progress was evaluated and compared to the face-to-face version. The majority of students found online classes combined with self-studying OER materials, potentially be a substitute for face-to-face classes. Most of the students further opined different OER videos assisted them without any face-to-face instructions in practical works, to develop new fabric samples from the inspiration. Analysis of test results, and comparison of students’ final grades with different learning modes, supported these phenomena.展开更多

Focusing on the design of equipment in-serviceassessment subjects, a design method for in-service assessment subjects basedon the combination of trial and training mode is proposed. Based on theactual use of high-equipment use management and training and the established indicator system, the army’s bottom-level equipment activity subjectsand bottom-level assessments are combined. The indicators are mapped andanalyzed. Through multiple rounds of iterations, the mapping relationshipbetween in-service assessment indicators and military equipment activitysubjects is established. Finally, the equipment activity subjects whose data iscollected (reflecting the underlying assessment indicators) are generated inservice assessment subjects. The orthogonal test method is used to optimizethe samples in the assessment subjects to form an in-service assessmentimplementation plan. Taking a certain type of armored infantry fightingvehicle as an example, the sample optimization design of the initially generatedin-service assessment subjects is analyzed. It provides methods and ideas tocarry out in-service assessment work.展开更多
Purpose: This paper aims to explore best practices in academic and research libraries in providing information literacy(IL) instruction to science and engineering graduate students.Design/methodology/approach: Using t...Purpose: This paper aims to explore best practices in academic and research libraries in providing information literacy(IL) instruction to science and engineering graduate students.Design/methodology/approach: Using the questionnaire survey method, we conducted an IL assessment study on 114 graduate students enrolling in graduate courses offered by College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences(GUCAS).Findings: The current situation of graduate students' IL competencies and the need to develop them are revealed. An IL course was designed by subject librarians of National Science Library(NSL), Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS), with three patterns addressing the development of graduate students' IL competencies.Research limitations: It is only about the practice of subject librarians at NSL, CAS, in designing IL courses for graduate students enrolling in graduate courses offered by College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, GUCAS.Practical implications: The results can provide a lot of useful information for the improvement of IL competencies of graduate students in science and technology disciplines.Originality/value: It is significant for assisting future subject librarians in incorporating IL skills into their course, especially for academic and research librarians to prepare and develop IL courses for science and engineering graduate students.展开更多
卫星导航地基增强系统(Ground Based Augmentation System,GBAS),可以提高卫星导航的精度、完好性、连续性和可用性,使飞机在复杂天气和恶劣环境下依然能够实现安全、高效的进近和着陆,满足民航精密进近和着陆引导等高精度导航需求.目前...卫星导航地基增强系统(Ground Based Augmentation System,GBAS),可以提高卫星导航的精度、完好性、连续性和可用性,使飞机在复杂天气和恶劣环境下依然能够实现安全、高效的进近和着陆,满足民航精密进近和着陆引导等高精度导航需求.目前GBAS一类精密进近(CATⅠ)服务水平已经完成验证和应用,但是其定位精度等服务水平仍不能完全满足民航需求.GBAS二类/三类精密进近(CATⅡ/Ⅲ)具有更好的服务水平,其技术和应用仍在开发验证中.为了提高民航运行效率和安全,急需开展基于CATⅡ/Ⅲ与CATⅢ的飞行校验活动.当前GBAS主要采用基于单频GPS的工作模式,在系统可用性、安全性和自主性方面非常受限,因此需要开发自主可控的兼容北斗的GBAS系统.本文设计了飞行校验方案,使用自主研制的国产GBAS设备,设计了飞行校验方案,在西安咸阳机场完成了CATⅡ/Ⅲ盲降精密进近着陆引导的GBAS飞行校验.试验结果表明:兼容北斗的国产GBAS具备支持CATⅡ/Ⅲ精密进近的能力,并且其性能远超传统仪表着陆系统(instrument landing system,ILS).这一成果的取得为我国航空运输的安全性提供了有力保障.展开更多
