Several papers have studied the similitude of shock issues. However, the dynamic similitude for shock responses of coupled structures is rarely incorporated in open studies. In this paper, scaling laws are derived for the shock responses and spectra of coupled structures. In the presented scaling laws, the geometric distortion and energy loss are considered. The ability of the proposed scaling laws is demonstrated in the simulation and experimental cases. In both cases, the similitude prediction for the prototype's time-domain waveform and spectrum is conducted with the scaled model and scaling laws. The simulation and experimental cases indicate that the predicted shock responses and spectra agree well with those of the prototype, which verifies the proposed scaling laws for predicting shock responses.展开更多

The distribution characteri...The 3D numerical simulation model of deep hard-rock deposit in Kaiyang Phosphate Mine of Guiyang was established based on the practical engineering using 3DEC numerical simulation software. The distribution characteristics of displacement fields and plastic zones of the orebody were simulated in three different excavation cases, including the case of excavation artificial inducted roadway in the orebody, the case of horizontal or vertical excavation direction and the case of the upward or downward excavation order. The simulation results indicate that the plastic zone and displacement field of surrounding rock around the inducted roadway are continuously increasing with the increase of the exposure time after digging an artificial inducted roadway in the orebody. Thus the raw rock ore becomes easier to be fragmented, which provides advantageous conditions for roadheader to cut high stress hard-rock. It is worthy noting that there is a large difference in effective utilization of deep ground pressure between horizontal and vertical excavation directions. The later can produce larger deformation and fracture zone than the former on the rock mass around the deduced roadway, which means that the later may utilize the high ground pressure more effectively to break hard-rock. And the obtained results also show that upward excavation order is more helpful for ground pressure to break rock than downward excavation order.展开更多

To investigate the influence of room and pillar configurations on stope stability in highly fractured and weakened areas, an orthogonal design with two factors, three levels and nine runs was proposed, followed by three-dimensional numerical simulation using ANSYS and FLAC3~. Results show that surface settlement after excavation is concentrically ringed, and increases with the decrease of pillar width and distances to stope gobs. In the meantime, the ore-control fault at the ore-rock boundary and the fractured argillaceous dolomite with intercalated slate at the hanging wall deteriorate the roof settlement. Additionally, stope stability is challenged due to pillar rheological yield and stress concentration, and both are induced by redistribution of stress and plastic zones after mining. Following an objective function and a constraint function, room and pillar configuration with widths of 14 m and 16 m, respectively, is presented as the optimization for improving the ore recovery rate while maintaining a safe working environment.展开更多

Firstly, a multi-rigid body dynamic model of rider and mountain bike coupled system is constructed. The rider model includes 19 skeletons, 18 joints and 118 main muscles. Secondly, to validate the feasibility of the model, an experiment test is designed to reflect the real cycling status. Finally, aiming at enhancing the performance of the rider vibration comfort, the scale parameters of rear suspension are optimized with computer simulation and uniform design. The mathematical model in the vibration performance and the design variables is constructed with regression analysis. The result shows that when the length of side link is 90 mm, the length of connected rod is 336.115 1 mm and the included angle between absorber and side link is 60°, the mountain bike has better vibration comfort. This study and relevant conclusions are of practical importance to the design of the mountain bike's rear suspension system.展开更多

This paper estimates the optimal number of receiving traces in field geometry using a numerical simulation based on a field test conducted in previous research (Zhu et al., 2011). A mathematical model is established for total energy and average efficiency energy using fixed trace spacing and optimal receiving traces are estimated. Seismic data acquired in a complex work area are used to verify the correctness of the proposed method. Results of model data calculations and actual data processing show that results are in agreement. This indicates that the proposed method is reasonable, correct, sufficiently scientific, and can be regarded as a novel method for use in seismic geometry design in complex geological regions.展开更多

文摘A large amount of genome-wide association study(GWAS)panels together with quantitative-trait locus(QTL)information associated with breeding-targeted traits have been described in wheat(Triticum aestivum L.).However,the application of mapping results from a GWAS panel to conventional wheat breeding remains a challenge. In this study,we first report a general genetic map which was constructed from 44 published linkage maps.It permits the estimation of genetic distances between any two genetic loci with physical map positions, thereby unifying the linkage relationships between QTL,genes, and genomic markers from multiple genetic populations.Second,we describe QTL mapping in a wheat GWAS panel of 688 accessions, identifying 77 QTL associated with 12 yield and grain-quality traits.Because these QTL have known physical map positions, they could be mapped onto the general map. Finally,we present a design approach to wheat breeding by using known QTL information and computer simulation.Potential crosses between parents in the GWAS panel may be evaluated by the relative frequency of the target genotype, trait correlations in simulated progeny populations, and genetic gain of selected progenies. It is possible to simultaneously improve yield and grain quality by suitable parental selection, progeny population size, and progeny selection scheme.Applying the design approach will allow identifying the most promising crosses and selection schemes in advance of the field experiment, increasing predictability and efficiency in wheat breeding.
文摘Water trapped within the HMA(Hot Mix Asphalt)layers of a flexible pavement causes the loss of strength and durability of the material producing surface damages and deteriorations such as stripping and ravelling.Open-graded pavements are considered potentially to be effective solutions to avoid these forms of infiltration-related distress. The main property that influences the performance of HMA is the hydraulic permeability. The permeability is a function of several properties of HMA which make the process of mix design very complex and uncertain. In this paper, starting from different grading curves,we evaluate the dependence of the permeability by the size distribution of aggregates using a full numerical model that has yet been validated through experimental tests and theoretical calculations. The correlation between the grain size distributions and the hydraulic permeability is very useful in order to simplify and optimize the design of open-graded pavements.

文摘The similitude theory helps to understand the physical behaviors of large structures through scaled models. The simulation and experimental cases indicate that the predicted shock responses and spectra agree well with those of the prototype, which verifies the proposed scaling laws for predicting shock responses.

文摘Electromagnetic simulation and electronic design automation(EDA)play an important role in the design of 5G antennas and radio chips. The simulation challenges include electromagnetic effects and long simulation time and this paper focuses on simulation software based on finite-element method(FEM).The state-of-the-art EDA software using novel computational techniques based on FEM can not only accelerate numerical analysis, but also enable optimization, sensitivity analysis and interactive design tuning based on rigorous electromagnetic model of a device.Several new techniques that help to mitigate the most challenging issues related to FEM based simulation are highlighted. In particular, methods for fast frequency sweep, mesh morphing and surrogate models for efficient optimization and manual design tuning are briefly described, and their efficiency is illustrated on examples involving a 5G multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO)antenna and filter. It is demonstrated that these new computational techniques enable significant reduction of time needed for design closure with the acceleration rates as large as tens or even over one hundred.
文摘The paper establishes the relationship between the settling efficiency and the sizes of the sedimentation tank through the process of numerical simulation, which is taken as one of the constraints to set up a simple optimum designing model of sedimentation tank. The feasibility and advantages of this model based on numerical calculation are verified through the application of practical case.

文摘A model for conceptual design of mechanical devices is studied based onqualitative simulation. In this model, the desired functions are expressed bystate-transit-diagrams(ST-diagrams) and design space is represented byqualitative-state-curves(QS-curves). The first design idea, called seeds idea, is proposed by thedesigner and then is abstracted into QS-curves. The qualitative simulation is implemented based onthe QS-curves. By changing the motion of acting parts, the connection of parts and the motion ofdriving part, new design ideas are generated. With this model, a series of new design ideas derivedfrom the seeds idea can be achieved.

文摘The 3D numerical simulation model of deep hard-rock deposit in Kaiyang Phosphate Mine of Guiyang was established based on the practical engineering using 3DEC numerical simulation software. And the obtained results also show that upward excavation order is more helpful for ground pressure to break rock than downward excavation order.

文摘Room and pillar sizes are key factors for safe mining and ore recovery in open-stope mining. Following an objective function and a constraint function, room and pillar configuration with widths of 14 m and 16 m, respectively, is presented as the optimization for improving the ore recovery rate while maintaining a safe working environment.

文摘This paper investigates the dynamic design methodology of mountain bikes with rear suspension. This study and relevant conclusions are of practical importance to the design of the mountain bike's rear suspension system.

文摘Currently, the selection of receiving traces in geometry design is mostly based on the horizontal layered medium hypothesis, which is unable to meet survey requirements in a complex area. This indicates that the proposed method is reasonable, correct, sufficiently scientific, and can be regarded as a novel method for use in seismic geometry design in complex geological regions.
