Land is the space carrier for the existence and flow of other development factors.Activating rural land and promoting the circulation of other development factors through land management innovation is necessary to realize rural vitalization. This paper identifies the connotation of factor flow in the rural vitalization context, the action mechanism of land management innovation to boost the flow of development factors, the issues and obstacles restricting factor circulation, and the realization mechanism of the flow of development factors in rural vitalization.Based on the analytic paradigm constructed in the paper, the successful practice of promoting the flow of development factors through innovative land management in a model village is examined. The results show that:1)the unreasonable systems characterized by the land use system in rural areas are the main obstacles causing circulation issues in development factors. It is essential to engage in comprehensive reform to break down these long-lasting obstacles to the smooth flow of development factors.2)The land should play a leading role in the circulation of development factors in the background of rural vitalization;the main purpose of land management innovation is to activate the land factor, thereby promoting the circulation of other factors.3)The activated land factor will act as a‘trigger’to promote capital and technology in rural settings and use capital and technology to attract the inflow of talents and the return of migrant workers, whereby the population factor will act as a‘catalyst’for the cultivation of rural culture, bringing about the integration of various development factors.4)The innovation of land use and management, increased funding, and new technologies have brought multiple talents to Tengtou Village. The high-frequency mutual feedback between the village’s own and the external development factors resulted in its successful integration of industrial development. 展开更多

The study of the multitude factors that influence the development of the athletes is the subject of extensive scientific research so that the implementation of optimized sport development models can be designed and practiced. As part of a broader research of ours during the past two years, by the process of completing anonymous self-report questionnaires of personal data by the athletes themselves, a database was created by 29 different factors affecting the development of volleyball athletes in Greece and abroad. This paper presents the results of a sample processing 466 people which is comprised exclusively by Greek athletes of AI, A2 and A3 volleyball class and a comparative investigation of the degree of influence of a group of factors is done in their athletic development. Specifically, the influence of the family environment (degree of parental support) is studied, the age of onset, the systematic engagement of the athletes in volleyball during childhood-school age. Finally, their possible involvement with other different sports is investigated during the school year and the degree of impact of this factor in their sport development and career paths. From the statistical sample processing (frequency diagrams) and the multivariate correlation of various factors among the athletes in different categories, it was established that, starting the sport of volleyball at an early age which is associated with intense pace workouts does not show a strong correlation with the expectation of future creation of high-level athletes. While in contrast, the simultaneous engagement of children with other collective sports (mainly basketball and football), and the degree of support of their efforts from parents are very positive factors for their athletic development. Through the results of our study, the view of the generalization of the application of an "early specialization model" of the volleyball athletes is not supported, which as we have seen from the survey, is already underway in A3 category. Instead, a very careful and thorough investigation of all relevant factors should be preceded, which will help in the final selection of the most appropriate development model of volleyball athletes in our country. 展开更多

The retina and its development: The retina is an essential part of the visual system. A myriad of eye diseases are characterized by retinal degeneration, caused by either genetic or environmental factors. This underscores the importance of studying the genetic and molecular mechanisms that regulate the generation and maintenance of neurons in the mammalian retina. Our recent studies demonstrate that two related transcription factors Onecutl (Ocl) and Onecut2 (0c2) regulate multiple cell fates in the mouse retina, and their absence results in progressive retinal neurodegeneration (Wu et al., 2012, 2013; Sapkota et al., 2014). 展开更多

In this study, a flume experiment was designed to investigate the characteristics of wave-induced pore water pressure in the soil of a silty seabed with different clay contents, soil layer buried depths and wave heights respectively. The study showed that water waves propagating over silty seabed can induce significant change of pore water pressure, and the amplitude of pore pressure depends on depth of buried soil layer, clay content and wave height, which are considered as the three influencing factors for pore water pressure change. The pressure will attenuate according to exponential law with increase of soil layer buried depth, and the attenuation being more rapid in those soil layers with higher clay content and greater wave height. The pore pressure in silty seabed increases rapidly in the initial stage of wave action, then decreases gradually to a stable value, depending on the depth of buried soil layer, clay content and wave height. The peak value of pore pressure will increase if clay content or depth of buried soil layer decreases, or wave height increases. The analysis indicated that these soils with 5% clay content and waves with higher wave height produce instability in bed easier, and that the wave energy is mostly dissipated near the surface of soils and 5% clay content in soils can prevent pore pressure from dissipating immediately. 展开更多

BACKGROUND: Some scholars think that hypertension is the major risk factor to cause Binswanger disease (BD), however, BD is also found in some persons with normal blood pressure, so we presume that some other factors, such as diabetes mellitus, hyperlipemia, coronary heart disease and transient ischemic attacks and so on, might participant in the onset of BD. OBJECTIVE: To comparatively observe the difference in accompanying diseases, transcranial doppler (TCD) performance, blood glucose and blood lipid level between BD patients and healthy subjects who received health examination, and between BD patients with different disease condition. DESIGN : Case-control analysis SETTING : Department of Emergency, Qingdao Municipal Hospita PARTICIPANTS: Totally 126 patients with BD, 65 male and 61 female, aged from 67 to 85 years old, who hospitalized in the Medical School Hospital of Qingdao University and Qingdao Municipal People's Hospital, were chosen, serving as BD patients group. All the patients met the clinical diagnostic criteria of BD introduced by Bennett et al. Another 126 persons, 65 male and 61 female, aged ranging from 67 to 80 years, who received health examination in the same hospital, were homeochronously chosen, serving as control group. Informed consents were obtained from all the subjects. METHODS : After being admitted, all the subjects including BD patients and persons who homeochrenously received health examination in the same hospital were given examinations of blood pressure, blood lipid, blood glucose, electrocardiogram (ECG) and TCD. Fifty-seven patients with BD were in the stable period and 69 in the progressive period (Stable period: no local or subcortical function disorder found, and no changes in the range of white matter lesion showed by CT and/or MRI in recent 3 months; Progressive period: with local or subcortical function disorder and increase in the range of white matter lesion showed by CT and/or MRI in recent 3 months). According to intimal thickening of carotid artery and vertebral artery preformed by TCD, BD was graded as mild intimal thickening (〈 1.1 mm), moderate intimal thickening (1.1 to 1.2 mm) and severe intimal thickening (〉 1.2 mm). MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES : Comparison of the ratio of BD patients with accompanied diabetes mellitus, hypedipemia, coronary heart disease and transient ischemic attacks, TCD performance, blood glucose and blood lipid level between BD patients group and control group, and among BD patients with vadous disease conditions. RESULTS: Totally 126 BD patients and 126 subjects who received health examination all participated in the result analysis. Intergroup comparison: ①The ratio of BD patients with accompanied hypertension, diabetes mellitus, hypedipemia, transient ischemic attacks and coronary heart disease was 91.3%, 46.8%, 42.9%, 81.7% and 46.0% respectively in the BD patients group, and that was 36.5%, 17.5%, 15.9%, 34.1% and 34.1%, respectively in the control group. Significant difference existed between two groups (x^2=86.201, 24.907,25.660,58.620,9.900, P 〈 0.01 ).②Compared with control group, anterior, middle cerebral and vertebrobasilar arteriosclerosis and insufficient cerebral blood supply existed significantly in BD patients with different disease condition (x^2=40.34,7.585,15.429, P 〈 0.01 ).③Compared with control group, the level of blood glucose, total cholesterol and triglyceride of BD patients increased significantly (t=6.939,3.891,3.711 ,P 〈 0.01 ). Comparison among BD patients with different disease condition: ① Compared with stable period, transient ischemic attacks and coronary heart disease were found much in the BD patients at progressive period, with significant difference (x^2=7.196,13.517,P 〈 0.01 ).② Mild arteriosclerosis at stable period was found in 17 cases, and significant difference existed compared with progressive period (x^2=6.523,P 〈 0.05).③ There was no significant difference in the blood glucose and blood lipid level (t=-1.755 6,0.583 1,0.824 6, P 〉 0.05). CONCLUSION: Hypertension, cerebral arteriosclerosis, diabetes mellitus, hypedipemia, coronary heart disease and transient ischemic attacks have important effects on the onset of BD; Transient ischemic attacks and coronary heart disease can worsen the symptoms of BD patients. 展开更多

Basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factors regulate the differentiation of various tissues in a vast diversity of species. The bHLH protein Atonal was first identified as a proneural gene involved in the formation of mechanosensory cells and photoreceptor cells in Drosophila (larman et al., 1993, 1994). Atonal is expressed in sensory organ precursors and is required and sufficient for the development of chordotonal organs (Jar- man et al., 1993). Moreover, Atonal expression is observed in the developing eye and is essential for the differentiation of R8 photoreceptors, which are the first photoreceptors that appear during development. Atonal is not involved in the formation of other photoreceptors (R1-R7) directly. However, R8 photore- ceptors recruit other photoreceptors from the surrounding cells (Jarman et al., 1994). 展开更多

BACKGROUND: Most of the reports on the prognostic indicators of patients with pancreatic adenocarcinoma are from developed countries. The present study focused on the prognostic indicators of Chinese patients with pancreatic adenocarcinoma. METHODS: A total of 300 patients with pancreatic adenocarcinoma who had undergone curative resection were included. The resection and R0/R1 resection rates for adenocarcinomas from different parts of the pancreas were calculated and clinical characteristics were analyzed.RESULTS: In 3427 patients diagnosed with pancreatic adenocarcinomas, only 300(8.8%) were eligible for radical resection. The total median survival of these patients was 19 months, and their 1-, 3-, and 5-year survival rates were 72.5%, 28.0% and 23.4%, respectively. The prognostic factors included socioeconomic status, smoking history, symptoms, high blood glucose, and various tumor characteristics, including perineural and vascular invasion, lymph node metastases, and CA19-9 levels before and after operation. Operation-associated prognostic indicators included operation time, blood loss and transfusions, pancreatic fistula, and complications. Independent predictors of mortality included poor socioeconomic status, smoking history, symptoms, CA19-9, perineural invasion and lymph node metastasis, grade of fistula and complications. Patient survival was not correlated with either resection margin or adjuvant chemotherapy in multivariate analysis.CONCLUSIONS: The survival rates of patients with curative resection for pancreatic adenocarcinoma in China are close to those in developed countries, but curative resection rate is far below. Socioeconomic status, symptoms, and CA19-9 are the three most prominent prognostic factors, which are helpful in patient selection and perioperative care. 展开更多

This article aims to investigate the public's sustainability mental model(SMM), which can reveal the sustainability dilemma from the public respective, other than enterprise or government. In this article, SMM is defined as one's cognitive structure, thinking mode, and behavior tendency when someone deals with sustainability issues. After theoretical analysis, the authors developed reliable and valid measures systematically and conducted a typical survey with 581 participants from college students' families in Guangdong province in China. Based on those samples, the author used the exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis to construct a measurement model of SMM, which includes three dimensions, i.e. sustainable cognition, sustainable thinking, and sustainable behavior intention. According to SMM survey and clustering analysis, the results indicate that SMM of those participants is inactive. Even though those samples do not represent the whole country comprehensively, but this survey was sampled typically and they came from around China. So, the authors consider the SMM scores can reflect Chinese people to some extent, leading to the assumption that SMM of Chinese people is not active presently. 展开更多

The growth of the software game development industry is enormous and is gaining importance day by day. This growth imposes severe pressure and a number of issues and challenges on the game development community. Game development is a complex process, and one important game development choice is to consider the developer's perspective to produce good-quality software games by improving the game development process. The objective of this study is to provide a better understanding of the developer's dimension as a factor in software game success. It focuses mainly on an empirical investigation of the effect of key developer's factors on the software game development process and eventually on the quality of the resulting game. A quantitative survey was developed and conducted to identify key developer's factors for an enhanced game development process. For this study, the developed survey was used to test the research model and hypotheses. The results provide evidence that game development organizations must deal with multiple key factors to remain competitive and to handle high pressure in the software game industry. The main contribution of this paper is to investigate empirically the influence of key developer's factors on the game development process. 展开更多

Mammalian follicles are composed of oocytes, granulosa cells, and theca cells.Theca cells form in the secondary follicles, maintaining follicular structural integrity and secreting steroid hormones. Two main sources of theca cells exist:Wilms tumor 1 positive(Wt1+)cells native to the ovary and Gli1+mesenchymal cells migrated from the mesonephros.Normal folliculogenesis is a process where oocytes, granulosa cells, and theca cells constantly interact with and support each other through autocrine and paracrine mechanisms. The proliferation and differentiation of theca cells are regulated by oocyte-derived factors, including growth development factor 9 and bone morphogenetic protein 15,and granulosa cell-derived factors, including desert hedgehog,Indian hedgehog, kit ligand,insulin-like growth factor 1,as well as hormones such as insulin and growth hormones.Current research on the origin of theca cells is limited.Identifying the origin of theca cells will help us to systematically elaborate the mechanisms of follicular formation and development. 展开更多
