The linear equations of D vs. q (value of ratio of the potentio-charge capacity to the galvano-charge capacity) were given in different range of q. By the CT technique, the Li^+ solid diffusion coefficients D within LiMn2O4 at different voltages were determined. The results showed that the values of D varied from 3.447×10^-9 cm^2/s to 7.60×10^-11 cm^2/s in the voltage range of charge from 3.3V to 4.3V as a function of voltage with “W” shape.展开更多

Thermal property of LED packaging material determines the heat dissipations of the phosphor and the chip surface, accordingly having an influence on the light-emitting efficiency and the life-span of the device. In this paper, photoacoustic piezoelectric (PAPE) technique has been employed to investigate the thermal properties of polyvinyl alcohol (]?VA) and silicon dioxide, which are the new and the traditional packaging materials in white LED, respectively. Firstly, the theory of PAPE technique has been developed for two-layer model in order to investigate soft materials; secondly, the experimental system has been set up and adjusted by measuring the reference sample; thirdly, the thermal diffusivities of PVA and silicon dioxide are measured and analysed. The experimental results show that PVA has a higher thermal diffusivity than silicon dioxide and is a better packaging material in the sense of thermal diffusivity for white LED.展开更多

In this paper, the performance of an OW spot-diffusing communication system using Neuro-Fuzzy (NF) adaptive multi-beam transmitter configuration has been proposed. The multi-beam transmitter generates multiple spots pointed in different directions, hence, forming a matrix of diffusing spots based on position of the receiver and receiver mobility. Regardless of the position of the transmitter and receiver, NF controller target the spots adaptively at the best locations and allocates optimal power to the spots and beam angle are adapted in order to achieve better signal-to-noise plus interference ratio (SNIR). Maximum ratio combining (MRC) is used in the imaging receiver. The proposed OW spot-diffusing communication system is compared with other spot-beam diffusion methods proposed in literature. Performance evaluation revels that the proposed NF based OW spot-diffusing communication system outperforms other spot-beam diffusion methods.展开更多

METHODSFifty-one patients at risk for HCC were scanned with both FB-DWI and respiratory-triggered DWI with the navigator echo respiratory-triggering technique (RT-DWI). Qualitatively, the sharpness of the liver contour, the image noise and the chemical shift artifacts on each DWI with b-values of 1000 s/mm2 were independently evaluated by three radiologists using 4-point scoring. We compared the image quality scores of each observer between the two DWI methods, using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. Quantitatively, we compared the signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs) of the liver parenchyma and lesion-to-nonlesion contrast-to-noise ratios (CNRs) after measuring the signal intensity on each DWI with a b-factor of 1000 s/mm2. The average SNRs and CNRs between the two DWI methods were compared by the paired t-test. The detectability of HCC on each DWI was also analyzed by three radiologists. The detectability provided by the two DWI methods was compared using McNemar’s test. RESULTSFor all observers, the averaged image quality scores of FB-DWI were: Sharpness of the liver contour [observer (Obs)-1, 3.08 ± 0.81; Obs-2, 2.98 ± 0.73; Obs-3, 3.54 ± 0.75], those of the distortion (Obs-1, 2.94 ± 0.50; Obs-2, 2.71 ± 0.70; Obs-3, 3.27 ± 0.53), and the chemical shift artifacts (Obs-1, 3.38 ± 0.60; Obs-2, 3.15 ± 1.07; Obs-3, 3.21 ± 0.85). The averaged image quality scores of RT-DWI were: Sharpness of the liver contour (Obs-1, 2.33 ± 0.65; Obs-2, 2.37 ± 0.74; Obs-3, 2.75 ± 0.81), distortion (Obs-1, 2.81 ± 0.56; Obs-2, 2.25 ± 0.74; Obs-3, 2.96 ± 0.71), and the chemical shift artifacts (Obs-1, 2.92 ± 0.59; Obs-2, 2.21 ± 0.85; Obs-3, 2.77 ± 1.08). All image quality scores of FB-DWI were significantly higher than those of RT-DWI (P < 0.05). The average SNR of the normal liver parenchyma by FB-DWI (11.0 ± 4.8) was not significantly different from that shown by RT-DWI (11.0 ± 5.0); nor were the lesion-to-nonlesion CNRs significantly different (FB-DWI, 21.4 ± 17.7; RT-DWI, 20.1 ± 15.1). For all three observers, the detectability of FB-DWI (Obs-1, 43.6%; Obs-2, 53.6%; and Obs-3, 45.0%) was significantly higher than that of RT-DWI (Obs-1, 29.1%; Obs-2, 43.6%; and Obs-3, 34.5%) (P < 0.05). CONCLUSIONFB-DWI showed better image quality and higher detectability of HCC compared to RT-DWI, without significantly reducing the SNRs of the liver parenchyma and lesion-to-nonlesion CNRs.展开更多

Three kinds of DGT probes (with three thicknesses of diffusive gel: 0.38 mm, 0.78 mm and 1.18 mm) measured vertical concentration and induced flux from solid to solution phase which had intricate variations with depth. The results indicated that higher concentrations and induced fluxes of DRP were achieved by using DGT probe with thicker diffusion layer (CDGT1.18 > CDGT0.78 > CDGT0.38) and relatively stable DRP concentration profiles using DGT probes with 0.78 mm diffusive gel were obtained in each sediment core. The DRP concentrations displayed a clear gradient from Core C1 to Core C3 in sediment porewaters due to different sources and exchange degrees of reactive phosphorus. Compared to the concentrations obtained by the centrifugation technique, the concentrations of DRP resulting from the DGT technique were higher because some dissolved reactive phosphorus compounds have always been neglected using conventional centrifugation method.展开更多

TheCuinfiltrated W composites without nickel can be densified easily by HIP processing at the tempera-ture below the melting point of copper. The relative density of W-Cu composites increases from 96%-97% to nearly full dense for the materials in which copper contents are more than 30 percent inweight and improves to near 99 percent for W-Cu20 composites. The properties of W-Cu materials ,such as strength, hardness and electrical conductivity, and the homogeneity of properties are im-proved significantly. The diffusion bonding of W-Cu to W-Cu or Cu by HIP processing is also stud-ied. The bonding strength is in correspondence with that of matrix. It is possible to produce largedimension W-Cu workpieces and (W-Cu)-Cu complex layer materials in commercial scale.展开更多

The mean, variance and other statistical properties of the stochastic solution are computed. The solution technique was applied successfully to the 1D and 2D diffusion models. The scheme shows importance of choice of convergence-control parameter to guarantee the convergence of the solutions of nonlinear differential Equations. The results are compared with the Wiener-Hermite expansion with perturbation (WHEP) technique and good agreements are obtained.展开更多

文摘The technique of DGT (diffusive gradients in thin films) was applied to obtain high-resolution vertical profiles of dissolved reactive phosphorus (DRP) in sediment porewater of Lake Chaohu, a shallow eutrophication lake. Compared to the concentrations obtained by the centrifugation technique, the concentrations of DRP resulting from the DGT technique were higher because some dissolved reactive phosphorus compounds have always been neglected using conventional centrifugation method.

文摘This article is devoted to the study of global existence and exponential stability of solutions to an initial-boundary value problem of the quasilinear thermo-diffusion equations with second sound by means of multiplicative techniques and energy method provided that the initial data are close to the equilibrium and the relaxation kernel is strongly positive definite and decays exponentially.
文摘Applications of HIP technique on W-Cu composites are studied and developed. It is possible to produce largedimension W-Cu workpieces and (W-Cu)-Cu complex layer materials in commercial scale.
文摘This paper deals with the construction of approximate series solutions of diffusion models with stochastic excitation and nonlinear losses using the homotopy analysis method (HAM). The mean, variance and other statistical properties of the stochastic solution are computed. The solution technique was applied successfully to the 1D and 2D diffusion models. The scheme shows importance of choice of convergence-control parameter to guarantee the convergence of the solutions of nonlinear differential Equations. The results are compared with the Wiener-Hermite expansion with perturbation (WHEP) technique and good agreements are obtained.

文摘We develop a tightly focused pump-probe absorption technique to study diffusion dynamics of photoexcited carriers. It has many advantages including the simple setup and operations, higher detection sensitivity,an analytic descriptive model and fast data samplings.Diffusion dynamics are measured twice, separately using two different-sized probe spots, instead of many time-delayed diffusion profiles of a carrier pocket measured using spatially probe-spot scanning. An analytic model is derived to describe diffusion dynamics.Diffusion dynamics in GaAs are measured to demonstrate the feasibility of this technique. The diffusion coefficient is obtained and agrees well with the reported experimental and theoretical results.
文摘The advection diffusion equation was solved analytically using separation of variables technique, considering first the wind speed and eddy diffusivity as constants;second as variables dependent on vertical height z. Comparison between predicted two models and observed concentration on Inshas, Cairo (Egypt) is done.

文摘The capacity intermittent titration technique (CITT) was developed based on the ratio of potentio-charge capacity to galvano-charge capacity (RPG) method, to continuously determine the solid diffusion coefficient (D) of the intercalary species within insertion-host materials with a small voltage region. The linear equations of D vs the value of ratio of the potentio-charge capacity to the galvano-charge capacity (q) were given. By the CITT technique, the Li+ solid diffusion coefficients within LiMn2 O4 at different voltages were determined. The results show that the values of D varied from 3. 447× 10-9 to 7.60× 10-11 cm2/s in the voltage range of charge from 3.3 to 4.3 V as a function of voltage with "W" shape.
文摘A split-step second-order predictor-corrector method for space-fractional reaction-diffusion equations with nonhomogeneous boundary conditions is presented and analyzed for the stability and convergence. The matrix transfer technique is used for spatial discretization of the problem. The method is shown to be unconditionally stable and second-order convergent.Numerical experiments are performed to confirm the stability and secondorder convergence of the method. The split-step predictor-corrector method is also compared with an IMEX predictor-corrector method which is found to incur oscillatory behavior for some time steps. Our method is seen to produce reliable and oscillatioresults for any time step when implemented on numerical examples with nonsmooth initial data.We also present a priori reliability constraint for the IMEX predictor-corrector method to avoid unwanted oscillations and show its validity numerically.
