The Dilemma of Women’s Voices in the Post-Epidemic Era:Misconceptions of Feminism on Digital Media Platforms-The Example of Sina Weibo

Weibo,one of China’s largest digital media platforms,has become a major platform for women’s voices to fight for equality.However,misconceptions of feminism on Weibo have become obstacles to women’s voices,for which the platforms did not post women’s views prominently.From the perspective of women themselves,this paper adopted a questionnaire to study the misunderstanding of feminism and its impact on women’s expression on Weibo.

Digital Media as a Game-Changer in B2B Buyer-Vendor Relationships

Purpose:The article examines the role of digital and,in particular,social media in business-to-business marketing in the international software industry.The authors responded to calls for empirical research on how these media impact buyer-vendor relationships and the conjunction of the marketing and sales processes,particularly the distribution of complex software solutions.This paper develops a digital framework and discusses the managerial consequences.Design/methodology/approach:The model arises by merging themes derived from literature,experts,and job descriptions.Mixed Methods included conducting semi-structured interviews across marketing,business development,and sales executives from buyers,vendors,and third parties of various industries,supplemented by a survey of 530+executives.Findings:Multinational companies secure competitive advantage through agile business processes to improve buyer-vendor relationships in the digital era.Digital media enable vendors to interact continuously with buyers,gather intelligence,and foster mutually beneficial,trustworthy,long-term relationships.The objective is to prompt transactions and secure revenue streams.Research limitations/implications:The outcomes of this research center on North America,Western Europe(including the UK),and DACH(Germany-Austria-Switzerland),affecting the generalizability.Originality/value:The research is novel and bridges several gaps concerning industrial relationships in digitalization:it merges buyer,vendor,and third-party’s perspectives on an international scale.It provides deeper insights into existing and new relationships by identifying relevant digital/social media platforms,the underlying usage motivation,and fundamental B2B processes.Finally,it equips practitioners with metrics to improve performance.

Traditional murals and their image remains are an important art category and visual language,as well as a special architectural type.Traditional murals are roughly divided into temples,grottoes,tombs and other types according to space,function and function.No matter what type of traditional mural,its basic function is to convey information through visual images.With the development and application of information technology and digital technology,traditional mural paintings have undergone changes in space,material,and form in the exhibition-gradually transitioning from ancient rock murals to multi-sensory participation under digital screen display.Because of the intervention of digital media,in many digital mural exhibitions in recent years,not only the spatial presentation and viewing of murals have formed a multi-dimensional visual correspondence but also the exhibition language of murals is enriched or supplemented.

The Effects of the Digital Media Technology in Zhejiang Nature Museum on Visitors'Experiences

With the technology developing,digital media technology comes into being.Because of its powerful capabilities,several exhibitions and museums gradually adapt it to show their exhibits in some vivid ways.This study was aimed to discuss the impacts of the digital media technology implementation on visitor’s experiences in Zhejiang Nature Museum.Based on previous measurement efforts,we did a questionnaire survey,gathered all the information and analyzed data.According to the analysis,visitors were satisfied with the digital media devices and hoped there would be more interesting interactive devices to make them know more about the nature.

Social Media and Hate Speech:A Twitter Example

The internet has brought together people from diverse cultures,backgrounds,and languages,forming a global community.However,this unstoppable growth in online presence and user numbers has introduced several new challenges.The structure of the cyberspace panopticon,the utilization of big data and its manipulation by interest groups,and the emergence of various ethical issues in digital media,such as deceptive content,deepfakes,and echo chambers,have become significant concerns.When combined with the characteristics of digital dissemination and rapid global interaction,these factors have paved the way for ethical problems related to the production,proliferation,and legitimization of hate speech.Moreover,certain images have gained widespread acceptance as though they were real,despite having no factual basis.This recent realization that much of the information and imagery considered to be true is,in fact,a virtual illusion,is a commonly discussed truth.The alarming increase and growing legitimacy of hate speech within the digital realm,made possible by social media,are leading us toward an unavoidable outcome.This study aims to investigate the reality of hate speech in this context.To achieve this goal,the research question is formulated as follows:“Does social media,particularly Twitter,contain content that includes hate speech,incendiary information,and news?”The study’s population is social media,with the sample consisting of hate speech content found on Twitter.Qualitative research methods are intended to be employed in this study.

Superpixel-Based Complex Field Modulation Using a Digital Micromirror Device for Focusing Light through Scattering Media

We present a digital micromirror device（DMD） based superpixel method for focusing light through scattering media by modulating the complex field of incident light. Firstly, we numerically and experimentally investigate focusing light through a scattering sample using the superpixel methods with different target complex fields.Then, single-point and multiple-point focusing experiments are performed using this superpixel-based complex modulation method. In our experiment, up to 71.5% relative enhancement is realized. The use of the DMDbased superpixel method for the control of the complex field of incident light opens an avenue to improve the enhancement of focusing light through scattering media.

Onlife Migrants and Digital Inclusion.Reflections for a Sociology of Digital Migrations

Migration is a global phenomenon and can present different characteristics and trends,as well as multiple reasons for its origin,linked for example to political,economic,war,climatic or cultural factors.Public discourse on migrants is often fuelled by prejudices and stereotypes with sometimes important consequences,such as episodes of misinformation or verbal violence,transmitted in digital format,with a high percentage of sharing and diffusion.However,scientific literature in the social sciences is still scarce,as is the attention of institutions and media to the“digital dimension”of the migration phenomenon.The new electronic-digital media are increasingly interconnected environments used to build and share information,also in the field of migration.Consequently,it is necessary to scientifically investigate this aspect and to know the languages and communication modes of“digital migrants”(cybermigrants),in order to manage technological risks and their new virtual identities,beyond any form of surveillance.Onlife is the term coined by philosopher Luciano Floridi to represent the new human condition in the digital age.A dimension that can also be identified in the migration phenomenon:migrants are not only the subject of journalistic narratives,but they live connectedly and actively participate in the spaces of the net.For these reasons,and others that will be presented here,through the study and analysis of the international literature,we would like to try to think of a new social science:the“sociology of digital migrations”.

The computer system platform course is a comprehensive platform course formed by modifying and optimizing the content of the relevant basic courses of computer major to meet the requirement for basic computer knowledge in digital media technology major.The scope and extent of the course content make its experimental design more challenging.By considering the scope of contents,the difficulty of experiments,and the rationality of intrinsic logic,the experiments covering from operating system to computer network are designed.The relevance and continuity of the experiments are ensured,so as to achieve the goals of promoting students’understanding of key concepts,improving their hands-on ability,cultivating their interest,and guiding their self-learning within the limited class time.

Digital media offer unique opportunities for museums to bring to life the secrets and stories of their historical collections.To bring insight into the process of developing digital media exhibits,this paper presents the perspective of a creative practitioner in approaching technology-and media-based interpretation for collection objects.It follows the Time,Culture and Identity digital workshop held in Beijing in October 2019,which explored and shared ideas about collaborative research and interdisciplinary practice in digital interpretation between academics,institutions,creative practitioners,and developers.Following the direction of the workshop,the paper takes as its focus the clocks and automatons of the imperial collection at the Palace Museum in Beijing.Observations are based on the author’s practice-led experience in running a design studio,Harmonic Kinetic,developing new media exhibits using digital technology and audiovisual media for museums,galleries,and exhibitions in the UK,including the Science Museum,V&A,Barbican,Tate,and the Tower of London.Taking a broad interaction-design-led outlook,the paper explores a personal design perspective for developing interpretive content and considers the particular opportunities and approaches these historical devices suggest.The paper concludes with a final section that reviews the process and reflects on outcomes from the Time,Culture and Identity digital workshop.This explored possibilities for an interpretive exhibit on the Country Scene clock from the Palace Museum collection.

A Comparison of Internet Based Populism in India and China

Our world—online and networked—is immersed under a wave of populism;populism spreads on the wings of internet.Internet as a media platform is essentially different from the traditional media platforms witnessed so far.Internet and digital media inherently follow bottom-up approach whereas traditional media adapt top-down approach to connect with its audience.Similarly,gatekeepers of internet are very different from traditional media.Internet platforms offer an agency to the common man to express his opinions which were never possible before.This shall definitely have political ramifications.India has witnessed religious-Hindu populism under BJP-NDA government since 2014.Recent elections confirm that this trend is likely to continue for next five years.It aims to present a stronger India which gives fitting reply to terrorist outfits and thus is in a better position to safeguard Mother India.It also aims to go back to its ancient roots something which was ruptured under the process of modernization under Nehru.In China the aim of populism is to re-achieve what it had in its glorious past—number one position in Asia—which can be inferred as China Dream.This populism is based on Confucian values and insists on its party-state to take strong measures especially towards US‟s anti-China moves.But,in China any comments which question the legitimacy of the party-state are deemed unpatriotic and removed from the online platforms.Chinese populism is against elite corruption.Populism in China can be referred as CCP guided populism.

High-precision method for measuring the photothermal properties of transparent media with digital holography

Quantitative phase microscopy by digital holography provides direct access to the phase profile of a transparent subject with high precision. This is useful for observing phenomena that modulate phase, but are otherwise difficult or impossible to detect. In this letter, a carefully constructed digital holographic apparatus is used to measure optically induced thermal lensing with an optical path difference precision of less than 1 nm. Furthermore, by taking advantage of the radial symmetry of a thermal lens, such data are processed to determine the absorption coefficient of transparent media with precisions as low as 1 × 10-5cm-1 using low power （30 mW） continuous wave （CW） excitation.

Basic Considerations on AVS DRM Architecture

Digital Rights Management （DRM） is an important infrastructure for the digital media age. It is a part of the AVS （Audio and Video coding Standard） of China. AVS Trusted Decoder （ATD） that plays back digital media program according to rights conditions is the core of AVS DRM architecture. Adaptation layers axe responsible for translating or negotiating between ATD and peripheral systems. The Packaging Adaptation Layer （PAL）, Licensing Adaptation Layer （LAL） and Rendering Adaptation Layer （RAL） will help ATD to gain the interoperability in various DRM environments.

Facebook Engagement and Its Relation to Visuals, With a Focus on Brand Culture

Facebook has changed the way customers interact with brands and their expectations toward corporate communication.
