Beetle wings are very specialized flight organs consisting of the veins and membranes.Therefore it is necessary from a bionic view to investigate the material properties of a beetle wing experimentally.In the present ...Beetle wings are very specialized flight organs consisting of the veins and membranes.Therefore it is necessary from a bionic view to investigate the material properties of a beetle wing experimentally.In the present study,we have used a Digital Image Correlation (DIC) technique to measure the elastic modulus of a beetle wing membrane.Specimens were prepared by carefully cutting a beetle hind wing into 3.0 mm by 7.0 mm segments (the gage length was 5 mm).We used a scanning electron microscope for a precise measurement of the thickness of the beetle wing membrane.The specimen was attached to a designed fixture to induce a uniform displacement by means of a micromanipulator.We used an ARAMISTM system based on the digital image correlation technique to measure the corresponding displacement of a specimen.The thickness of the beetle wing varied at different points of the membrane.The elastic modulus differed in relation to the membrane arrangement showing a structural anisotropy;the elastic modulus in the chordwise direction is approximately 2.65 GPa,which is three times larger than the elastic modulus in the spanwise direction of 0.84 GPa.As a result,the digital image correlation-based ARAMIS system was suc- cessfully used to measure the elastic modulus of a beetle wing.In addition to membrane's elastic modulus,we considered the Poisson's ratio of the membrane and measured the elastic modulus of a vein using an Instron universal tensile machine.The result reveals the Poisson's ratio is nearly zero and the elastic modulus of a vein is about 11 GPa.展开更多

In this paper, we implement several sinusoidal generation methods to optimize their performance and output using advanced digital arithmetic techniques. In this paper, the implementations of advanced digital oscillator structures with and without pipelining are proposed. The synthesis results of the implementation with pipelining have proven that it is superior to other sinusoidal generation methods in terms of the maximum frequency and signal resolution. Hence, this method is used in the design of the proposed digital oscillator chip.展开更多

This analysis system combines digital image processing, graphics, databases, expert systems, artificial intelligence and oth...Baosteel developed a digital automatic analysis technique for maceral specification in 2002. This analysis system combines digital image processing, graphics, databases, expert systems, artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies. After 6 years of application in coke production, the system proved itself successful in coal quality testing and coal blending guidance on maceral. However,during this long process, some inadequacies were found that impacted the precision and accuracy of the analysis. So ,in 2008 Baosteel began to work on improving the coal maceral analysis system. The improvements included the following:further upgrading and enhancing the analysis performance of microscopic images ;extending the gray levels to increase the reflectance measurement accuracy 64 times;changing the focus method and effectively eliminating the interference of halo. In addition, an improved image recognition method was adopted to make the extraction of vitrinite more accurate and a new model of coal constituent algorithm was added which can accurately determine the composition of maceral (exinite, vitrinite,inertinite). Since these improvements were completed, the system has achieved higher automation, speed and accuracy, collected more information and performed more accurate maceral analysis for coke production. Meanwhile, the improved system has provided a reliable analytical basis for the further study on the relationship between coke quality and coal blending.展开更多

Fault waveform regenerator mainly depends on its power amplifiers (PAs) to regenerate the fault waveforms recorded by digital fault recorder (DFR). To counteract the PA’s inherent nonlinear distortions, a digital closed-loop modification technique that is different from the predistortion technique is conceived. However, it is an extremely dynamic taxonomydeveloping in complexity during the life cycle that produces a massive amountof engendered data and information. Likewise, with the development of AI,digital twins can be redefined and could be a crucial approach to aid theInternet of Things (IoT)-based DT applications for transferring the data andvalue onto the Internet with better decision-making. Therefore, this paperintroduces an efficient DT-based fault diagnosis model based on machinelearning (ML) tools. In this framework, the DT model of the machine isconstructed by creating the simulation model. In the proposed framework,the Genetic algorithm (GA) is used for the optimization task to improvethe classification accuracy. Furthermore, we evaluate the proposed faultdiagnosis framework using performance metrics such as precision, accuracy,F-measure, and recall. The proposed framework is comprehensively examinedusing the triplex pump fault diagnosis. The experimental results demonstratedthat the hybrid GA-ML method gives outstanding results compared to MLmethods like LogisticRegression (LR), Na飗e Bayes (NB), and SupportVectorMachine (SVM). The suggested framework achieves the highest accuracyof 95% for the employed hybrid GA-SVM. The proposed framework willeffectively help industrial operators make an appropriate decision concerningthe fault analysis for IIoT applications in the context of Industry 4.0.展开更多
This paper presents a low sampling rate digital pre-distortion technique based on an improved Chebyshev polynomial for the non-linear distortion problem of amplifiers in 5G broadband communication systems.An improved ...This paper presents a low sampling rate digital pre-distortion technique based on an improved Chebyshev polynomial for the non-linear distortion problem of amplifiers in 5G broadband communication systems.An improved Chebyshev polynomial is used to construct the behavioural model of the broadband amplifier,and an undersampling technique is used to sample the output signal of the amplifier,reduce the sampling rate,and extract the pre-distortion parameters from the sampled signal through an indirect learning structure to finally correct the non-linearity of the amplifier system.This technique is able to improve the linearity and efficiency of the power amplifier and provides better flexibility.Experimental results show that by constructing the behavioural model of the amplifier using memory polynomials(MP),generalised polynomials(GMP)and modified Chebyshev polynomials respectively,the adjacent channel power ratio of the obtained system can be improved by more than 13.87d B,17.6dB and 19.98dB respectively compared to the output signal of the amplifier without digital pre-distortion.The Chebyshev polynomial improves the neighbourhood channel power ratio by 6.11dB and 2.38dB compared to the memory polynomial and generalised polynomial respectively,while the normalised mean square error is effectively improved and enhanced.This shows that the improved Chebyshev pre-distortion can guarantee the performance of the system and improve the non-linearity better.展开更多

In the present study, the strength and failure behavior of ubiquitous- joint rock-l!ke specimens under uniaxial loading have been investigated by DIC (digital image correlation) and discrete element numerical method (PFC2D). The results are obtained. Firstly, the UCSJ of spec- imens with γ= 15° or 30° shows similar tendency while α goes from 0° to 75°. With γ= 45° or 60°, the UCSJ of specimens increases when α goes from 0° to 30° and decreases after α goes beyond 30°. With γ=75°, the peak UCSJ value is reached when α=0°. The UCSJ value shows an increasing trend when α goes from 60° to 75°. Secondly, the ubiquitous-joint specimens present different failure modes for various levels of α and γ(β-α). Based on the experimental results, the failure mode of ubiquitous-joint specimens can be classified into three categories: stepped path failure, failure through parallel plane, and failure through cross plane.展开更多

A reverse-transform algorithm is employed to reconstruct the object wave on its original position of unknown distance or the imaging position from the object wave information on the holographic plane. To get the clearest reconstruction the exact registration of the unknown distance is determined by applying the intensity sum as the auto-focusing function, The spatial resolution of the reconstruction image is also investigated for a variety of affecting factors. Assuring medical images protection and robustness is a compulsory necessity nowadays.In this paper,a novel technique is proposed that fuses the wavelet-induced multi-resolution decomposition of the Discrete Wavelet Tr...Assuring medical images protection and robustness is a compulsory necessity nowadays.In this paper,a novel technique is proposed that fuses the wavelet-induced multi-resolution decomposition of the Discrete Wavelet Transform(DWT)with the energy compaction of the Discrete Wavelet Transform(DCT).The multi-level Encryption-based Hybrid Fusion Technique(EbhFT)aims to achieve great advances in terms of imperceptibility and security of medical images.A DWT disintegrated sub-band of a cover image is reformed simultaneously using the DCT transform.Afterwards,a 64-bit hex key is employed to encrypt the host image as well as participate in the second key creation process to encode the watermark.Lastly,a PN-sequence key is formed along with a supplementary key in the third layer of the EbHFT.Thus,the watermarked image is generated by enclosing both keys into DWT and DCT coefficients.The fusions ability of the proposed EbHFT technique makes the best use of the distinct privileges of using both DWT and DCT methods.In order to validate the proposed technique,a standard dataset of medical images is used.Simulation results show higher performance of the visual quality(i.e.,57.65)for the watermarked forms of all types of medical images.In addition,EbHFT robustness outperforms an existing scheme tested for the same dataset in terms of Normalized Correlation(NC).Finally,extra protection for digital images from against illegal replicating and unapproved tampering using the proposed technique.展开更多

UG, SOLIDWORK and MDT apply the se technology with respective features. However, no distinct development has bee n made in the digital models from geometric feature to manufacture feature. Prod uct information expression and the basic model frame of data exchange have been proposed based on STEP standards, but it is quite difficult to some extent ensur e the operability, due to the complexity in application. The models addressed in this paper divide the shared digital models (not data models) for product desig n and manufacture into five parts: ①Digital product 3D molding design; ②Digit al product technology process design; ③Digital product assembly design; ④Digit al product manufacture process design; ⑤Digital product management design. The resource model should not be included. And It should be a peripheral model i n product design; which is the innovative viewpoint of this paper. The core of above-mentioned five models is to access the digital model from the solid unit feature. Product definition should be determined on the basis of solid unit, and solid unit should follow the rules of "generation of machining processing", Therefore, the author also proposed the Constructing Cutting Geomet ry Method (CCG) in IMCC’2000. An excitation system employed a vibratory force at the sacrum of the test subjects.A transduction system included a pair of identical microphones installed in the tubes of two stethoscopes,which were placed at the greater trochanters on both sides for picking up the acoustical signals transm it- ted across the hip joints.The data acquisition and analysis system was a portable signal analyzer with a program of dual channel digital filter for m easuring the power of acoustical signal in 1/ 3- oc- tave frequency bands.2 7normal adults,2 0 normal pre- school children and 4 0 norm al neonates were random ly selected for testing.Coherence function (CF) and discrepancy(D) was measured during the testing.Results from the three groups showed that there was a high coherence of the signals (CF>0 .9) and a sm all discrepancy(D<3d B) between bilateral hips in the frequency range of2 0 0— 315 Hz.For normal neonates,there was a wider frequency range of16 0 - 315 Hz in which the acoustical signals m aintained a high coherence (CF>0 .93) and a smaller discrepancy (D <2 d B) was observed.This study showed that the development of the acoustical technique pro- vided a practical m ethod with objective parameters.The results obtained in this study can offer a baseline for further investigation of hip disorders particularly those related to structural abnorm ali- ties of the hip.展开更多

Fault waveform regenerator mainly depends on its power amplifiers (PAs) to regenerate the fault waveforms recorded by digital fault recorder (DFR). To counteract the PA’s inherent nonlinear distortions, a digital closed-loop modification technique that is different from the predistortion technique is conceived. And the experimental results verify the effectiveness of the fault waveform regenerator based on the digital closed-loop modification technique.

文摘Dryden model is usually used in studying the response of flight vehicle to atmospheric turbulence. For a modern flight simulator,it is necessary to generate random winds ( in Dryden model or sometimes others) with a digital computer.In this paper,a theoretically strict new method to meet this purpose is proposed.By this method,we can acquire a three-dimensional atmospheric turbulence which contains three components of wind velocity and three components of wind velocity gradient.The reliability of this method is checked by comparing the obtained autocorrelation value with the theoretical one.A numerical example has shown a satisfactory result.Finally,some proposals about how to use this mathematical model in flight simulator are given.

Then the sequence hand drawn animation edited in frame by frame also layer by layer using certain software in computer to create illusion of motion. The motion itself not just using any sense of art but also using physics, biology especially anatomy when needed to create such realism motion or perhaps funny motion in cartoon style animation.

文摘In recent years, Digital Twin (DT) has gained significant interestfrom academia and industry due to the advanced in information technology,communication systems, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing (CC),and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). The main concept of the DT isto provide a comprehensive tangible, and operational explanation of anyelement, asset, or system. However, it is an extremely dynamic taxonomydeveloping in complexity during the life cycle that produces a massive amountof engendered data and information. Likewise, with the development of AI,digital twins can be redefined and could be a crucial approach to aid theInternet of Things (IoT)-based DT applications for transferring the data andvalue onto the Internet with better decision-making. Therefore, this paperintroduces an efficient DT-based fault diagnosis model based on machinelearning (ML) tools. In this framework, the DT model of the machine isconstructed by creating the simulation model. In the proposed framework,the Genetic algorithm (GA) is used for the optimization task to improvethe classification accuracy. Furthermore, we evaluate the proposed faultdiagnosis framework using performance metrics such as precision, accuracy,F-measure, and recall. The proposed framework is comprehensively examinedusing the triplex pump fault diagnosis. The experimental results demonstratedthat the hybrid GA-ML method gives outstanding results compared to MLmethods like LogisticRegression (LR), Na飗e Bayes (NB), and SupportVectorMachine (SVM). The suggested framework achieves the highest accuracyof 95% for the employed hybrid GA-SVM. The proposed framework willeffectively help industrial operators make an appropriate decision concerningthe fault analysis for IIoT applications in the context of Industry 4.0.
文摘This paper presents a low sampling rate digital pre-distortion technique based on an improved Chebyshev polynomial for the non-linear distortion problem of amplifiers in 5G broadband communication systems.An improved Chebyshev polynomial is used to construct the behavioural model of the broadband amplifier,and an undersampling technique is used to sample the output signal of the amplifier,reduce the sampling rate,and extract the pre-distortion parameters from the sampled signal through an indirect learning structure to finally correct the non-linearity of the amplifier system.This technique is able to improve the linearity and efficiency of the power amplifier and provides better flexibility.Experimental results show that by constructing the behavioural model of the amplifier using memory polynomials(MP),generalised polynomials(GMP)and modified Chebyshev polynomials respectively,the adjacent channel power ratio of the obtained system can be improved by more than 13.87d B,17.6dB and 19.98dB respectively compared to the output signal of the amplifier without digital pre-distortion.The Chebyshev polynomial improves the neighbourhood channel power ratio by 6.11dB and 2.38dB compared to the memory polynomial and generalised polynomial respectively,while the normalised mean square error is effectively improved and enhanced.This shows that the improved Chebyshev pre-distortion can guarantee the performance of the system and improve the non-linearity better.

文摘The strength and failure characteristics of most natural rock mass are influenced by discontinues such as fissures, joints, and weak surfaces. In the present study, the strength and failure behavior of ubiquitous- joint rock-l!ke specimens under uniaxial loading have been investigated by DIC (digital image correlation) and discrete element numerical method (PFC2D). The results are obtained. Firstly, the UCSJ of spec- imens with γ= 15° or 30° shows similar tendency while α goes from 0° to 75°. With γ= 45° or 60°, the UCSJ of specimens increases when α goes from 0° to 30° and decreases after α goes beyond 30°. With γ=75°, the peak UCSJ value is reached when α=0°. The UCSJ value shows an increasing trend when α goes from 60° to 75°. Secondly, the ubiquitous-joint specimens present different failure modes for various levels of α and γ(β-α). Based on the experimental results, the failure mode of ubiquitous-joint specimens can be classified into three categories: stepped path failure, failure through parallel plane, and failure through cross plane.
文摘A phase-shifting digital holography scheme developed to investigate internal defects in artworks is described. Phase-shifting is utilized to obtain a clear reconstructed object wave from a rough surface texture. A reverse-transform algorithm is employed to reconstruct the object wave on its original position of unknown distance or the imaging position from the object wave information on the holographic plane. To get the clearest reconstruction the exact registration of the unknown distance is determined by applying the intensity sum as the auto-focusing function, The spatial resolution of the reconstruction image is also investigated for a variety of affecting factors. Laboratory results of reconstruction images under deformation are presented.
文摘Assuring medical images protection and robustness is a compulsory necessity nowadays.In this paper,a novel technique is proposed that fuses the wavelet-induced multi-resolution decomposition of the Discrete Wavelet Transform(DWT)with the energy compaction of the Discrete Wavelet Transform(DCT).The multi-level Encryption-based Hybrid Fusion Technique(EbhFT)aims to achieve great advances in terms of imperceptibility and security of medical images.A DWT disintegrated sub-band of a cover image is reformed simultaneously using the DCT transform.Afterwards,a 64-bit hex key is employed to encrypt the host image as well as participate in the second key creation process to encode the watermark.Lastly,a PN-sequence key is formed along with a supplementary key in the third layer of the EbHFT.Thus,the watermarked image is generated by enclosing both keys into DWT and DCT coefficients.The fusions ability of the proposed EbHFT technique makes the best use of the distinct privileges of using both DWT and DCT methods.In order to validate the proposed technique,a standard dataset of medical images is used.Simulation results show higher performance of the visual quality(i.e.,57.65)for the watermarked forms of all types of medical images.In addition,EbHFT robustness outperforms an existing scheme tested for the same dataset in terms of Normalized Correlation(NC).Finally,extra protection for digital images from against illegal replicating and unapproved tampering using the proposed technique.
文摘CAD/CAM integrate technology has been drawn to much a ttention and becomes one of the focus of the international academic and commerci al research, Through efforts nearly 10 years, remarkable progress has been made in the 3-dimension feature parametric modeling. UG, SOLIDWORK and MDT apply the se technology with respective features. However, no distinct development has bee n made in the digital models from geometric feature to manufacture feature. Prod uct information expression and the basic model frame of data exchange have been proposed based on STEP standards, but it is quite difficult to some extent ensur e the operability, due to the complexity in application. The models addressed in this paper divide the shared digital models (not data models) for product desig n and manufacture into five parts: ①Digital product 3D molding design; ②Digit al product technology process design; ③Digital product assembly design; ④Digit al product manufacture process design; ⑤Digital product management design. The resource model should not be included. And It should be a peripheral model i n product design; which is the innovative viewpoint of this paper. The core of above-mentioned five models is to access the digital model from the solid unit feature. Product definition should be determined on the basis of solid unit, and solid unit should follow the rules of "generation of machining processing", Therefore, the author also proposed the Constructing Cutting Geomet ry Method (CCG) in IMCC’2000. In this way, the integration of "forming - processing - assembling - machining - management" can be obtained. This is th e core originality of the paper.
文摘The proposed method inserts a watermark into the spectral components of the data using techniques analogous to spread spectrum communications, hiding a narrow band signal in a wideband channel. 文摘A non- invasive acoustical system was developed for the measurement of transmission properties of acoustic waves in the hip joints.The instrumentation consisted of three sub- system s. An excitation system employed a vibratory force at the sacrum of the test subjects.A transduction system included a pair of identical microphones installed in the tubes of two stethoscopes,which were placed at the greater trochanters on both sides for picking up the acoustical signals transm it- ted across the hip joints.The data acquisition and analysis system was a portable signal analyzer with a program of dual channel digital filter for m easuring the power of acoustical signal in 1/ 3- oc- tave frequency bands.2 7normal adults,2 0 normal pre- school children and 4 0 norm al neonates were random ly selected for testing.Coherence function (CF) and discrepancy(D) was measured during the testing.Results from the three groups showed that there was a high coherence of the signals (CF>0 .9) and a sm all discrepancy(D<3d B) between bilateral hips in the frequency range of2 0 0— 315 Hz.For normal neonates,there was a wider frequency range of16 0 - 315 Hz in which the acoustical signals m aintained a high coherence (CF>0 .93) and a smaller discrepancy (D <2 d B) was observed.This study showed that the development of the acoustical technique pro- vided a practical m ethod with objective parameters.The results obtained in this study can offer a baseline for further investigation of hip disorders particularly those related to structural abnorm ali- ties of the hip.
