Directional roof cutting(DRC)is one of the key techniques in non-pillar coal mining with self-formed entries(NCMSE)mining method.Due to the inability to accurately measure the expansion coefficient of the goaf rock ma...Directional roof cutting(DRC)is one of the key techniques in non-pillar coal mining with self-formed entries(NCMSE)mining method.Due to the inability to accurately measure the expansion coefficient of the goaf rock mass,the implementation of this technology often encounters design challenges,leading to suboptimal results and increased costs.This paper establishes a structural analysis model of the goaf working face roof,revealing the failure mechanism of DRC,and clarifies the positive role of DRC in improving the stress of the roadway surrounding rock and reducing the subsidence of the roof through numerical simulation experiments.On this basis,the paper further analyses the roadway pressure and roof settlement under different DRC design heights,and ultimately proposes an optimized design method for the DRC height.The results indicate that the implementation of DRC can significantly optimize the stress environment of the working face roadway surrounding rock.At the same time,during the application of DRC,three scenarios may arise:insufficient,reasonable,and excessive DRC height.Insufficient height will significantly reduce the effectiveness of the technology,while excessive height has little impact on the implementation effect but will greatly increase construction costs and difficulty.Engineering verification shows that the optimized DRC design method proposed in this paper reduces the peak stress of the protective coal pillar in the roadway by 27.2%and the central subsidence of the roof by 41.8%,demonstrating excellent application results.This method provides technical support for the further promotion of NCMSE mining method.展开更多
In order to overcome the main drawbacks of coaxial, waveguide, and stripline couplers, the analysis and the design of a compact coaxial-to-microstrip directional coupler convenient for power and antenna control applic...In order to overcome the main drawbacks of coaxial, waveguide, and stripline couplers, the analysis and the design of a compact coaxial-to-microstrip directional coupler convenient for power and antenna control application, are presented using the method of moments (MoM) in two dimensions. This technique is adapted to study the complex configuration of the line’s system, which does not have a simple analytical solution. The modeling of this structure consists in analyzing the primary inductive and capacitive matrices ([L] and [C]). When these matrices are determined, it is possible to calculate the inductive and capacitive coupling coefficients (kL and kC) and estimate the resulting scattering parameters of the coupler using an adapted numerical model. The coupler can be integrated into a printed circuit board (PCB) and operates over 17 to 35 dB coupling coefficients and is always compensated. The compensation is achieved by the proper displacement of a tuning ground plane with respect to the edge of the PCB from 0.1 to 3.3 mm. As an application, we present the design of a compact coupler with 7.5 × 4.8 × 25.8 mm of size and having approximately 20 dB of coupling coefficient at 2 GHz and a minimum directivity of 23.3 dB in the frequency range [0.1 - 4] GHz. In order to check our numerical calculations by the MoM we made simulations in 3D by using CST MICROWAVE STUDIO software for the same geometrical and physical parameters of our designed coupler. The results obtained by the two numerical models (MoM and CST) show a good agreement of the frequency responses of the coaxial-to-microstrip directional coupler. The studied structure represents a great improvement for high power measurement systems, since it has broad-band, good directivity, and can be easily designed and fabricated.展开更多

Comparison of the design provisions of the GB 50011-2010 code and those of the American code ACI 318-14 indicates a possible deficiency in the T-shaped wall design provisions in GB 50011-2010. A case study of a typical T-shaped wall designed in accordance with GB 50011-2010 also indicates the insufficient extent of the boundary element at the non-flange end and overly conservative design of the flange end boundary element. Improved designs for special boundary elements ofT-shaped walls are developed using a displacement-based method. The proposed design formulas produce a longer boundary element at the non-flange end and a shorter boundary element at the flange end, relative to those of the GB 50011-2010 provisions. Since damage can be directly associated to displacements, seismic design with consideration of displacement seems to be logical. In this study, simple formulae to estimate the peak floor displacement patterns of eccentrically braced frames(EBFs) at different performance levels subjected to earthquake ground motions are proposed. These formulae are applicable in a PBSD and especially in direct displacement-based design(DDBD). Parametric study is conducted on a group of 30 EBFs under a set of 15 far field and near field accelerograms which they scaled to different amplitudes to adapt various performance levels. The results of thousands of nonlinear dynamic analyses of EBFs have been post-processed by nonlinear regression analysis in order to recognize the major parameters that influence the peak displacement pattern of these frames. Results show that suggested displacement patterns have relatively good agreement with those acquired by an exact nonlinear dynamic analysis.展开更多

Therefore, a multi-objective reentry trajectory opti...In the constrained reentry trajectory design of hypersonic vehicles, multiple objectives with priorities bring about more difficulties to find the optimal solution. Therefore, a multi-objective reentry trajectory optimization (MORTO) approach via generalized varying domain (GVD) is proposed. Using the direct collocation approach, the trajectory optimization problem involving multiple objectives is discretized into a nonlinear multi-objective programming with priorities. In terms of fuzzy sets, the objectives are fuzzified into three types of fuzzy goals, and their constant tolerances are substituted by the varying domains. According to the principle that the objective with higher priority has higher satisfactory degree, the priority requirement is modeled as the order constraints of the varying domains. The corresponding two-side, single-side, and hybrid-side varying domain models are formulated for three fuzzy relations respectively. By regulating the parameter, the optimal reentry trajectory satisfying priorities can be achieved. Moreover, the performance about the parameter is analyzed, and the algorithm to find its specific value for maximum priority difference is proposed. The simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method for hypersonic vehicles, and the comparisons with the traditional methods and sensitivity analysis are presented.展开更多
