Value and Measures of Integrating Local Red Culture into the Ideological and Political Course of Environmental Disciplines under the OBE Concept

Based on output-oriented education,the OBE(Outcome-Based Education)concept integrates local red culture into the ideological and political course of environmental disciplines,and is an important part of training applied talents of environmental disciplines in the new era.This educational model makes an innovation on the traditional educational and teaching concepts and centers on students.This paper analyzes the value of integrating local red culture into the ideological and political course under the OBE concept,and puts forward an effective implementation path.

Study on the Discipline of Standardization from the Perspective of Standardization Education

This paper defines the discipline of standardization based on advancements in standardization theory, examines the relationship between the discipline of standardization and standardization education, and predicts trends in standardization.

Preconditioning crush increases the survival rate of motor neurons after spinal root avulsion

In a previous study, heat shock protein 27 was persistently upregulated in ventral motor neurons following nerve root avulsion or crush. Here, we examined whether the upregulation of heat shock protein 27 would increase the survival rate of motor neurons. Rats were divided into two groups： an avulsion-only group （avtflsion of the L4 lumbar nerve root only） and a crush-avulsion group （the L4 lumbar nerve root was crushed 1 week prior to the avulsion）. Immunofluores- cent staining revealed that the survival rate of motor neurons was significantly greater in the crush-avulsion group than in the avulsion-only group, and this difference remained for at least 5 weeks after avulsion. The higher neuronal survival rate may be explained by the upregulation of heat shock protein 27 expression in motor neurons in the crush-avulsion group. Further- more, preconditioning crush greatly attenuated the expression of nitric oxide synthase in the motor neurons. Our findings indicate that the neuroprotective action of preconditioning crush is mediated through the upregulation of heat shock protein 27 expression and the attenuation of neuronal nitric oxide synthase upregulation following avulsion.

Intensive diabetes management and goal setting are key aspects of improving metabolic control in children and young people with type 1 diabetes mellitus

Diabetes control in children remains poor in spite of advances in treatment for last 10 years. The aim of this review was to look at various aspects of intensive therapy in the management of type 1 diabetes such as insulin regimes, role of target setting, psycho-educational approaches and self-management. To achieve good metabolic control, clear goal setting with adequate support for self-management are essential. Psycho-educational and behavioural interventions aimed at specific areas of management have shown significant improvement in quality of life and diabetes control.

从缮性至心智训练——Mental discipline在中国的引入

Mental discipline是民国时期由严复从西方教育哲学中引入的概念,它蕴含着西方经典的教育价值取向。迄今为止,国内学者采取的译名有缮性、心智训练、智力训练以及心灵陶冶。缮性等译名既有其产生的学术史土壤,亦包含了译者对于教育的价值期待,然其合宜性有待商榷。相较而言,心智形塑一词,规避了训练的严苛和机械之涵义,其在教育方向、方式和教育对象的涵义方面更贴合原词。

Nuclear Safety Education for Non-nuclear Engineering Students

The new situations were analyzed for nuclear industry development and security. Besides nuclear wars and terrorism, reactor runaway and un-ruled radioactive source are the main nuclear accidents in peacetime. With the active development of the nuclear industry in China, the existing nuclear education system is becoming deficient or defective. Human factors play an important role in nuclear accident prevention and emergency response in the nuclear engineering system, non-nuclear professional staff are often the subject of personnel in most nuclear projects. In order to ensure the sustainable and efficient accord development of nuclear industry, general nuclear education is necessary for correlative non-nuclear professionals, such as technologies, management, safety, culture and ethic. The nuclear safety education should be included into the national education system.

UMassBoston教育管理学科国际化研究

学科建设实现国际化,是进入"世界一流学科"的一个重要门槛。马萨诸塞大学波士顿分校(以下简称UMass Boston)教育管理学科建设的国际化经验,值得国内同类大学借鉴。借助美国教育协会ACE的国际化评价体系框架,考察分析UMass Boston的教育管理学科,发现其通过明确国际化理念、鼓励学生参与国际案例研究、开展体验式学习扩大学生的国际视野、支持教师参与国际化的交流学习提高国际素养、提供必要的政策优惠和财政支持、建立强大的内外合作伙伴关系等措施来促进教育管理学科建设的国际化。相比而言,我国高校教育管理学科国际化水平普遍较低,在未来国际化进程中应明确国际化建设方向、学校应提供必要的制度和财政支持、在课程体系及教学方式上应与国际相接轨、建立健全师生国际化流动机制、搭建高效的国际化学术与交流平台。

Disciplinary development of global health academic degree programs in China

This study aims to provide a brief overview of the history and development of global health education(GHE)as academic degree programs worldwide,and to identify GHE’s development opportunities and obstacles in China.This is a state-of-the-art review of published and unpublished information that described and evaluated disciplinary development of global health degree programs worldwide,written in English,and published or shared between 1990 and 2020.Data were derived from official websites of leading global health institutions,like“Google Scholar”,“PubMed”,and unpublished information such as presentation files and unpublished manuscripts collected from knowledgeable leaders in the field.We retrieved and reviewed a total of 35 articles and a large amount of unpublished information or sources on the internet.Global Health emerged as a new discipline around the end of the last millennium and proliferated in the last two decades in developed nations,especially the United States and the United Kingdom.The development of China’s GHE programs was built on China’s increasing engagement in global health affairs and research.In 2012,Wuhan University established the first official global health department in China.Several universities such as Peking University and Duke Kunshan University subsequently set up departments or programs to offer undergraduate and postgraduate majors and degrees.The first school-level global health unit was established in Shanghai in 2019.The Consortium of Chinese Universities for Global Health(CCUGH)grew from 10 founding members in 2013 to 25 in 2020.Major desirable attributes“unique”to students majoring in global health include global-mindedness,health interests,compassion,intercultural sensitivity,and adventurous spirit.Graduates from GHE programs have a diverse set of career choices spanning research,government,not-for-profit,and private sector occupations.We identified a number of strengths,weaknesses,opportunities,and threats to the future development of GHE in China.To ensure sustainable future growth,we advocate addressing the following key aspects:(1)clearer disciplinary distinctions;(2)multidisciplinary collaborations;(3)public-sector investments;and(4)non-public sectors participation.Amidst China’s increasing engagement in health affairs globally and the proliferation of GHE programs in developed nations,China has experienced fast growth in GHE degree programs since 2012 while a number of challenges remain for its future development.

Patient Safety Education among Chinese Medical Undergraduates: An Empirical Study

Patient safety education is conducive to medical students＇ cognition on patient safety and to improvement of medical quality and safety. Developing patient safety education for medical students is more and more widely recognized by World Health Organization and countries all over the world. However, in China, patient safety courses aiming at medical students are relatively few, and there are few reports about the effect of patient safety courses. This paper explored the influence of patient safety curriculum on medical students＇ attitude to and knowledge of patient safety. The patient safety curriculum was carried out for 2011-grade undergraduates of Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. The students participated in the class according to free choice. After the curriculum, the information of gender, major, attended course, attitude toward patient safety, and knowledge of laws and regulations of the 2011-grade undergraduates were collected. After rejecting invalid questionnaires, the number of undergraduates that participated in the survey was 112（61 students did not take part in the curriculum; 51 took part in）. Chi-square test was applied to analyze patient safety education＇s influence on medical students＇ attitude to patient safety and their knowledge mastery situation. The influence of patient safety education on the attitude of medical students to patient safety was not significant, but that on their knowledge of patient safety was remarkable. No matter male or female, as compared with medical students who had not accepted patient safety education, they both had a better acquisition of knowledge after having this education（for male students： 95% CI, 4.556–106.238, P〈0.001; for female students： 95% CI, 3.183–33.238, P〈0.001）. Students majoring in Western Medicine had a relatively better mastery of knowledge of patient safety after receiving patient safety education（95% CI, 6.267–76.271, P〈0.001）. Short-term patient safety education cannot change medical students＇ stereotyped cognition on matters related to patient safety, but it can effectively enhance their knowledge of laws and regulations of patient safety.

面向能源环境领域研究生育人生态构建与实践——以山西大学能源环境学科群教育教学改革为例

基于教育生态理论,立足山西能源大省的产业特色,山西大学发挥综合类大学能源环境领域多学科优势,提出“能力为基、创新为本、服务需求、回归工程”的研究生教育理念,组建由能源动力、环境工程、控制工程等学科构成的学科群,形成学缘结构互补的导师团队,开展教育教学改革。通过整合多方资源,搭建贯通政产学研用的载体,探索出“学生中心、四方联动、平台支撑、四位一体”的研究生育人生态,打造了服务产业升级和区域经济转型的政产学用的县域“襄垣模式”和产学研用的“大地模式”,培育了一批适应产业发展的复合创新型人才,社会影响广泛深远。这一育人生态不仅为资源型经济转型发展提供了人才支持,也为地方高校“政产学研用”共融提供了示范样本。

针对“土木工程施工组织”课程学生动手能力弱、参与度低等教学痛点问题,以成果导向原则为指引,在教学内容、教学方法、教学环境、教学评价、课程育人方法等方面开展了教学设计创新与实践,提出了重构教学内容、重立教学方法、重创教学环境、重建教学评价的“四重”反向设计教学法,以及工程背景-案例复盘-学思悟道“三段联动式”课程育人方法,解决课程教学痛点问题,促进课程的提质创新,帮助学生树立“我是未来土木工程师”的价值目标。

基础学科对教育强国的战略支撑及其实现路径

加快建设中国特色、世界一流的大学和优势学科是教育强国建设的重中之重。学科是系统性的知识体系,也是大学的基层组织基础,是大学实施人才培养与科研活动的基本单元。基础学科作为以基础科学知识为研究内容的学科类别,是开展基础研究并产生原始创新成果的重要土壤,通过培养高水平创新人才和科研创新等途径对建设教育强国发挥战略支撑作用。实现基础学科对教育强国的战略支撑,需要聚焦国家战略需求,加强高校有组织基础研究能力建设;鼓励学科交叉融合,强化基础学科跨域协同创新能力建设;提升学科管理效能,持续深化对基础学科建设规律的认识;加大资源投入,确保基础学科发展的政策支持和制度保障。

面向模式Ⅲ推进计算高等教育学学科建设

生成式人工智能等新技术突破为计算高等教育学学科发展带来历史性机遇,但传统计算社会学科的发展道路并不完全适用于计算高等教育学学科发展。根据学科建设模式的不同,传统计算社会科学可以概括为以计算语言学为代表的母学科全程参与计算社会科学分支学科建设的模式Ⅰ和以计算社会学与计算经济学为代表的母学科基于方法创新带动计算类交叉学科建设的模式Ⅱ。有别于模式Ⅰ、模式Ⅱ规律,计算高等教育学以母学科为分支学科提供大量数据及应用场景支持,可概括为模式Ⅲ。面向模式Ⅲ开展计算高等教育学学科建设应以高等教育学为中心,全面启动计算高等教育学学科建设;以应用场景为核心,全面推进教育研究与管理人员角色转变;以院校研究为重心,全面推动研究对象与研究方法向中微观层面下沉。

“课程思政”点亮理工科研究生专业课程教学

针对研究生课程思政起步晚、问题多、难度大的问题,本文以“发光材料研究进展”为教学案例,从教学目标、教学设计、教学实践、教学考核等环节多方面入手,系统性对如何进行研究生课程思政进行了实践探索,提出了“经典孕育创新,传承经典”的原创性思政思想,凝练了“育人为本,实践为基,创新为魂”的教学理念。
