Designed as a regional political instrument, the Norwegian Ministry of Transport and Communications started a pilot project: "Driver education as a part of upper secondary school in district Norway". The focal point in this paper is to explore how the professional participants understand and interpret the project as a regional political instrument in order to maintain the local community, identity and local belonging. The theoretical approach is based on Giddens's actor/structure theory, while the analysis based on discourse analysis, in the analysis we separated the arguments used in the professional discourse. We detected different categories of argument in the discourses among the professionals. In addition to the professional discourse, we became aware of a personal discourse. In both discourses the political instrument was perceived to be important in order to maintain the local community, create equality and maintain local identity and a sense of belonging.展开更多

There are kinds of question methods, such as alternative question method, yes-no question method, specific question method, direct question method, indirect question method, echo question method, tag question method, miracle question method and so on. And this paper will set the characteristic discourses of protagonists in the drama of Antigone by the ancient Greek tragedian Sophocles as a research example, so as to analyze the protagonist's pragmatics motivation in the conversation strategies when communicating with three people in different social identity, that is to say, this paper will analyze the way that the selected question and answer methods used by the protagonist to achieve the effect of being recognized as king identity but not as a tyrant in fact. According to the dramatic text, this paper tends to make a further research on the characters' self-identity construction ground on the discourse characteristic of the characters. And from the perspective of modem linguistic, it is the analysis of the motivation in question methods, and the advantage and disadvantage on the discourse right implied in answer methods, that contribute to the further research on how the social identity construction and the classic character image are successfully made.展开更多

The results show that these students tend to accept the emergent discourses in terms of their new vocabulary words, such as "yumi". Although the standard discourse dominates the students' life, the emergent discourses are accepted and used by these students. With regard to the view to purify the Chinese language, human concern and tolerance for the coexistence of various discourses are suggested.展开更多

During this period, a unique discourse system has been established. The three parties of the state, market and academic circles have respectively created administrative, industrial and knowledge discourses about the ICH. First, the representation of folk culture was incorporated into both the ICH protection system with list as the core and the cultural reconstruction strategy in the transition period, subsequently into national narrative through implementation of policies and administration by the government. Second, market operations have transformed heritage resources into cultural capital to boost the culture sector and tourism, and thus reinvigorate folk culture and brought about qualitative changes. Third, academics have made ICH discourses integrated with multidiscipline and extend academic discourse from universities and research institutions to the public sphere and cultural practice. The formation of the above discourse types reflects the articulation and game playing of ICH discourses in the folk culture field, and therefore they combine to form an ideal way to approach the cultural transformation and cultural politics of contemporary China.展开更多

文摘HIV/AIDS has been one of the most serious health concerns in South Africa over the past 30 years.Novels such as Welcome to Our Hillbrow,Dog Eat Dog,and After Tears are literary responses to the profound shame and fear inflicted by the epidemic on individuals and society. These AIDS narratives serve as a means to deconstruct politicized discourses about the disease. They scrutinize the stereotype that the voracious sexuality of black men is the primary cause of AIDS and challenges the xenophobic notion of contagious foreigners prevalent in post-apartheid South Africa.Additionally, the novels critically examine and satirize the denialist discourse propagated by incompetent politicians who have failed to contain the virus in post-apartheid South Africa.By representing the conflicting voices surrounding HIV/AIDS,these writings vividly depict the social and political landscape of the era.
