This study elucidated the distributio...Urban Green Space (UGS) plays an important role in minimizing the negative effects of urbanization on city dwellers, which is predominantly factored into the accessibility to UGS. This study elucidated the distribution and accessibility of UGS in Dhaka, Bangladesh considering the paucity of such important scientific studies in the given area. The methodological structure of this study employed a multispectral Landsat satellite image from 2020 for identifying the logically defined UGSs, as well as a minimum proxy distance being the parameter to estimate accessibility to the UGS through a primary survey scheme and literature review. Considering UGS as a public area, we adopted a hybrid (combination of supervised and unsupervised classification) method followed by post-classification for UGS distribution assessment. The unsupervised classification identified the overall distribution of green spaces, whereas the anomalies of generated classes were rectified during the post-classification. Following the study findings, UGS in Dhaka metropolitan city accounts for only 602 ha or 1.9% of the total geographical space, with Ramna thana ranked as the highest contributor of 111 ha. However, in terms of accessibility to the UGS by city residents, 19.9% of the buildings in Dhaka metropolitan city were computed to be within the determined proxy distance of 500 m around the UGS. Also, parallel to UGS distribution, green space in Ramna thana (111 ha) exhibited the highest accessibility rate (64%) to the UGS compared with other thanas in Dhaka metropolitan city. The baseline findings will contribute to the long-term sustainable urban planning and development of more accessible green spaces in the study area.展开更多

Background: Pharmacists must adjust their distance from patients to facilitate communication during interviews and gain their trust. The distance between the patients and the pharmacists varies depending on many facto...Background: Pharmacists must adjust their distance from patients to facilitate communication during interviews and gain their trust. The distance between the patients and the pharmacists varies depending on many factors, such as gender, posture and the patients’ mood. Only a few of these papers have actually measured and validated distance with patients. In this study, we validated our method of assessing mood and measuring distance before beginning a survey with patients. Methods: We measured comfortable interpersonal distance among men and women using an ecological scenario, in which a pharmacist approaches the subject, and the subject is asked to stop the pharmacist at the distance he/she feel comfortable with. Five pharmacists and 33 subjects participated in the study. The Japanese version of the Brief Mood Questionnaire Checklists (BMC-J) was used to quantify the subject’s mood for the day, and then the distance from the pharmacist that the subjects considered comfortable was measured at the bedside. The relationship between the mood and distance obtained was examined. Results: The comfortable distance of subjects was influenced by gender, posture, and mood. The shortest distance was 94.7 ± 11.1 cm (mean ± SD), for the male subjects versus the female pharmacists in the sitting position. The distance of male subjects shorted when they had positive emotions and lengthened when they were worried. Female subjects maintained a long distance from both male and female pharmacists when they had positive emotions and a short distance when they were worried. Conclusion: Findings show that the distance changes depending on the subjects’ mood at the time of measurement. It was found that the present measurement method can be used to determine the psychological state of the patient and measure the comfort distance at that time, and can be used as a simple method to examine these relationships. Therefore, it is also considered a practical method for the next step, which is a clinical study on patients.展开更多

Various index structures have recently been proposed to facilitate high-dimensional KNN queries, among which the techniques of approximate vector presentation and one-dimensional (1D) transformation can break the curs...Various index structures have recently been proposed to facilitate high-dimensional KNN queries, among which the techniques of approximate vector presentation and one-dimensional (1D) transformation can break the curse of dimensionality. Based on the two techniques above, a novel high-dimensional index is proposed, called Bit-code and Distance based index (BD). BD is based on a special partitioning strategy which is optimized for high-dimensional data. By the definitions of bit code and transformation function, a high-dimensional vector can be first approximately represented and then transformed into a 1D vector, the key managed by a B+-tree. A new KNN search algorithm is also proposed that exploits the bit code and distance to prune the search space more effectively. Results of extensive experiments using both synthetic and real data demonstrated that BD out- performs the existing index structures for KNN search in high-dimensional spaces.展开更多

The distance coefficients of reasonable and existing landscape indexes of farmland shelterbelt networks were com-puted, and then through the classification of the distance coefficients, and the establishment of evaluation rules, the spatial heterogeneity of farmland shelterbelts was evaluated. The method can improve the evaluating system of previ-ous studies on shelterbelts distribution, resolve the disadvantages of lacking spatiality of overall evaluation, and make the evaluation results have more directive significance for shelterbelt management. Based on this method, spatial het-erogeneity of shelterbelt networks was evaluated in the midwest of Jilin Province, China. The results show that the re-gions with fewer shelterbelts and no closed network account for 34.7% of the total area, but only 4.9% of the area has relative reasonable pattern of shelterbelt networks. Many problems exist in the distribution pattern of shelterbelts, therefore, much attention should be paid to construct farmland shelterbelts in the study area.展开更多

A well-designed fixture layout will make the final product's variability be insensitive to the fixture variation inputs. As the basis of the fixture layout design, the design criterion plays an important role in the effectiveness of a solution and the optimization efficiency. In this paper, an effective and efficient design criterion is proposed for the fixture layout with a fixed reference point (FRP) in an MAP. First of all, a state space model for the individual port's variation propagation and accumulation is developed, which is the mathematical foundation of the proposed criterion. Then, based on this model, a novel design criterion used to evaluate the performance of the fixture layout is proposed for the fixture layout with an FRP. Finally, a method extracted from the proposed design criterion is developed for quick fixture layout design. A four-station assembly process is used to validate the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed models and methods.展开更多

This experiment was conducted among 30 infants at the kindergarten, utilizing a small experimental robot. As the basis of the fixture layout design, the design criterion plays an important role in the effectiveness of a solution and the optimization efficiency. In this paper, an effective and efficient design criterion is proposed for the fixture layout with a fixed reference point (FRP) in an MAP. First of all, a state space model for the individual port's variation propagation and accumulation is developed, which is the mathematical foundation of the proposed criterion. Then, based on this model, a novel design criterion used to evaluate the performance of the fixture layout is proposed for the fixture layout with an FRP. Finally, a method extracted from the proposed design criterion is developed for quick fixture layout design. A four-station assembly process is used to validate the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed models and methods.
文摘In Japan, robots are a regular feature of daily life and in rehabilitation support care and reporting on any emergencies involving the elderly. This study is on design guidelines for the living space with robots and can be applied to the architectural planning and focused on the basic environmental primary factor. The key terms were space, people-adult male and female, positions, and the robot-size, speed-settings and approaching angles. This research is the distances a small mobile robot moves to an adult male compared with that toward an adult female. The authors focus on a small mobile robot and identify the distances from which the robot can approach individuals, and also clarify how the distances to individuals change as the robot's speed and angle of approach varies. The study did this experiment to analyze 30 patterns per person and also when at an angle of the difference of male and female, two position standing/seated and three speed-settings0.08 m/sec, 0.24 m/sec and 0.48 m/sec and five directions--0°, 45°, 90°, 135° and 180°.
文摘This study seeks to establish techniques of architecture planning for living robots and human together. This experiment is elemental step to search relations between a small mobile robot and human. This experiment is "How can a small mobile robot approach to individuals distances of foreigners (non-Japanese) up to the point where foreigners (non-Japanese) do not feel like approaching any more". It focuses on a small mobile robot and identifies distances at which the robot can approach to individuals, particularly adult foreign male. This paper clarifies how the individual distances change by the robot's speed and angle of approach varies.

文摘In this paper, we propose a new hybrid iterative scheme for finding a common solution of an equilibrium problem and fixed point of Bregman totally quasi-asymptotically nonexpansive mapping in reflexive Banach spaces. Moreover, we prove some strong convergence theorems under suitable control conditions. Finally, the application to zero point problem of maximal monotone operators is given by the result.

文摘In recent years, it is remarkable that various robots are being developed, and the development of robot technology is beginning to be taken into an actual living space. There are still many questions that we will have to answer for the harmonization of living together with a robot. This study is focused on "the study of how to plan and design a living space in harmonizing with robots", and focused on the effects of infants (subjects) along with the distance between robots and themselves. The study is to seek for the minimum distance for the subjects who felt that "I do not want a robot to be any closer being approached to me". This experiment was conducted among 30 infants at the kindergarten, utilizing a small experimental robot. A small robot whose dimension is 120 mm (W) ×130 mm (D) × 70 mm (H), approaching infants as is to see if it would make any differences to the infant's reactions.

文摘The purpose of this paper is to improve some famous theorems for contractive mapping from ρ(α + β) ∈ [0,1/s) to ρ(α + β) ∈ [0, 1) in ordered cone b-metric spaces over Banach algebras with coefficient s ≥ 1(ρ(x) is the spectral radius of the generalized Lipschitz constant x). Moreover, some similar improvements in ordered cone b-metric spaces are also obtained, which from α + β∈ [0,1/s) to α + β∈ [0, 1). Some examples are given to support that our new results are genuine improvements and generalizations.
文摘There is a relation between space and time, which is called space-time continuum. With the help of some mathematical equations, we can establish an alternative relation between space-time and mass, treating mass as a fifth dimension. There is the concept about mass being a property of any inertial or gravitational object in space. Mass can create distortion in space. As a result of that, space-time curvature will be bent towards the massive object.
