The design and optimization of the extraction process ...The organic dissolvent (di-n-butyl phthalate) needs to be washed by water to recycle itself in the process of recovering maleic anhydride by organic dissolvent. The design and optimization of the extraction process require the distribution coefficients of the organic solutes, o-phthalic acid and trans-butenedioic in water and di-n-butyl phthalate, on which the extraction efficiency depends. In this study, the distribution coefficients of o-phthalic acid and trans-butenedioic in water and all-n-butyl phthalate(DBP) at 298.15 K, 318.15 K and 333.15 K were determined respectively by acid-alkali titration. The dissociation constants of o-phthalic acid and trans-butenedioic at those temperatures were obtained by fitting the measured hydrogen-ion concentrations and the known solute concentrations in the aqueous solution containing the two organic solutes. Then the distribution constants were calculated. Both the distribution coefficients and the distribution constants increase along with the temperature increasing. And the distribution coefficients at 333. 15 K are large enough to ensure the efficiency of extraction process. In addition, the mutual solubility of water and all-n-butyl phthalate at 298.1.5 K, 318. 1.5 K and 333. 15 K was also measured respectively by High Performance Liquid Chromatography and Karl Fischer Watertitration, which was not more than 0. 5%( mass fraction ).展开更多
In the research of windblown sand movement,the lift-off and incident velocities of saltating sand particles play a significant role in bridging the spatial and temporal scales from single sand particle's motion to wi...In the research of windblown sand movement,the lift-off and incident velocities of saltating sand particles play a significant role in bridging the spatial and temporal scales from single sand particle's motion to windblown sand flux.In this paper,we achieved wind tunnel measurements of the movement of sand particles near sand bed through improving the wind tunnel experimental scheme of paticle image velocimetry(PIV) and data processing method.And then the influence of observation height on the probability distributions of lift-off and incident velocities of sand particles was analyzed.The results demonstrate that the observation height has no obvious influence on the distribution pattern of the lift-off and incident velocities of sand particles,i.e.,the probability distribution of horizontal and vertical velocities of lift-off and incident sand particles follow a Gaussian distribution and a negative exponential distribution,respectively.However,it influences the center of the Gaussian distribution,the decay constant and the amplitude of the negative exponential distribution.展开更多
The Gaussian spin model with periodic interactions on the diamond-type hierarchical lattices is constructed by generalizing that with uniform interactions on translationally invariant lattices according to a class of ...The Gaussian spin model with periodic interactions on the diamond-type hierarchical lattices is constructed by generalizing that with uniform interactions on translationally invariant lattices according to a class of substitution sequences. The Gaussian distribution constants and imposed external magnetic fields are also periodic depending on the periodic characteristic of the interaction bonds. The critical behaviors of this generalized Gaussian model in external magnetic fields are studied by the exact renormalization-group approach and spin rescaling method. The critical points and all the critical exponents are obtained. The critical behaviors are found to be determined by the Gaussian distribution constants and the fractal dimensions of the lattices. When all the Gaussian distribution constants are the same, the dependence of the critical exponents on the dimensions of the lattices is the same as that of the Gaussian model with uniform interactions on translationally invariant lattices.展开更多

In this contribution we briefly discuss several analysis techniques for impedance spectroscopy experiments.A number of different approaches,which differ even by the definition of the problem,are used in the literature...In this contribution we briefly discuss several analysis techniques for impedance spectroscopy experiments.A number of different approaches,which differ even by the definition of the problem,are used in the literature.Some aimed towards finding an equivalent circuit.Others aimed towards finding directly dielectric properties of the material under an assumed model.Others towards finding distribution of relaxation times,either parametric or point-by point.No matter what the approach is,this will always be an ill-posed problem in the sense that there exist a large number of possible solutions that solve the problem (mathematically) equally well.Therefore some a-priori knowledge about the system must he used.In addition,we should remember that the ultimate goal is to get physical insight about the system.展开更多
The anisotropic physical property is the most noteworthy feature of crystals.In this paper,the subscript change method is used to analyze the sign changes of different tensors describing physical properties in uniaxia...The anisotropic physical property is the most noteworthy feature of crystals.In this paper,the subscript change method is used to analyze the sign changes of different tensors describing physical properties in uniaxial crystals.The distribution of some physical properties in special point groups exhibits non-symmetry in eight quadrants,which should attract the attention of crystal research.The difference between the crystallographic and physical coordinate systems and the lack of crystal symmetry operations are considered to be the origins of the non-symmetry.To avoid ambiguities and difficulties in characterizing and applying crystal physical properties,eight quadrants in space should be clarified.Hence,we proposed the use of piezoelectric properties to define the positive direction of the optical coordinate axis prior to the research and applications of optical properties.展开更多
Studies of the effects induced on the electron band structure after Na deposition, and subsequent heating, on a C-face 2 MLs graphene sample are reported. Na deposition shifts the Dirac point downwards from the Fermi ...Studies of the effects induced on the electron band structure after Na deposition, and subsequent heating, on a C-face 2 MLs graphene sample are reported. Na deposition shifts the Dirac point downwards from the Fermi level by about 0.5 eV due to electron doping. After heating at temperatures from around 120℃ to 300℃,thep-band appears considerably broadened. Collected Si 2p and Na 2p spectra then indicate Na intercalation in between the graphene layers and at the graphene SiC interface. The broadening is therefore interpreted to arise from the presence of two slightly shifted, but not clearly resolved,p-bands. Constant energy photoelectron distribution patterns, E(kx,ky);s, extracted from the clean 2MLs graphene C-face sample look very similar to earlier calculated distribution patterns for monolayer, but not Bernal stacked bilayer, graphene. After Na deposition the patterns extracted at energies below the Dirac point appear very similar so the doping had no pronounced effect on the shape or intensity distribution. At energies above the Dirac point the extracted angular distribution patterns show the flipped, “mirrored”, intensity distribution predicted for monolayer graphene at these energies. An additional weaker outer band is also discernable at energies above the Dirac point, which presumably is induced by the deposited Na.展开更多
