As a novel scheme, Fourier single-pixel imaging(FSI) has been proven capable of reconstructing high-quality images. Due to the fact that the Fourier basis patterns(also known as grayscale sinusoidal patterns)cannot be well displayed on the digital micromirror device(DMD), a fast FSI system is proposed to solve this problem by binarizing Fourier pattern through a dithering algorithm. However, the traditional dithering algorithm leads to low quality as the extra noise is inevitably induced in the reconstructed images. In this paper, we report a better dithering algorithm to binarize Fourier pattern, which utilizes the Sierra–Lite kernel function by a serpentine scanning method. Numerical simulation and experiment demonstrate that the proposed algorithm is able to achieve higher quality under different sampling ratios.展开更多

The problem with the former is the poor sensitivity to various defocusing amounts, and the problem with the latter is that it cannot enhance phase quality directly nor efficiently. In this paper, we present a multi-objective optimization framework for three-dimensional(3D) measurement by utilizing binary defocusing technique. Moreover, a binary patch optimization technique is used to solve the time-consuming issue of genetic algorithm. It is demonstrated that the presented technique consistently obtains significant phase performance improvement under various defocusing amounts.展开更多

The dynamic friction inside the valve may cause hysteresis and a dead zone. In this paper, a dither compensation mechanism is proposed to reduce negative effects on the basis of analyzing the mechanism of friction force. The specific dither signal(using a sinusoidal signal) was superimposed on the control signal of the valve. Based on the relationship between the parameters of the dither signal and the inherent characteristics of the proportional servo valve, a parameter tuning method was proposed, which uses a displacement sensor to measure the maximum static friction inside the valve. According to the experimental results, the proper amplitude ranges are determined for different pressures. In order to get the optimal parameters of the dither signal, some dither compensation experiments have been carried out on different signal amplitude and gas pressure conditions. Optimal parameters are determined under two kinds of pressure conditions. Using tuning parameters the valve spool displacement experiment has been taken. From the experiment results, hysteresis of the proportional servo valve is significantly reduced. And through simulation and experiments, the cut-off frequency of the proportional valve has also been widened. Therefore after adding the dither signal, the static and dynamic characteristics of the proportional valve are both improved to a certain degree. This research proposes a parameter tuning method of dither signal, and the validity of the method is verified experimentally.展开更多

Taking the effect of prism stress birefringence into account, an analytical formula of the output light intensity in the gyro and the relationship between the polarization parameter and the amplitude modulation of the output signal are obtained and discussed. For the first time, the polarized power value of the output light is adopted as a basis to estimate the output signal amplitude fading extent of laser gyros. Experimental results demonstrate that when the value of polarized power of output light is below 25.5% of that in ideal static case, the standard error is over 0.0337 dBm, and the displacement extent of the prism is higher than 53% of the radius of the beam waist in the gyro cavity, the amplitude modulation extent of gyro output signal can reach up to 16%, which badly influences the measurement accuracy of the laser gyro. Using this polarized power detecting measurement method can repair the gyro immediately during its fabrication process, improve the testing and production efficiency and shorten the product development cycle.展开更多
