The phase-matching(PM) QKD protocol allows the key rate to break the quantum channel secret key capacity limit without quantum repeaters, and the security of the protocol is demonstrated by using equivalent entanglement. In this paper, the wavelength division multiplexing(WDM) technique is applied to the PM-QKD protocol considering the effect of crosstalk noise on the secret key rate. In fasterthanNyquist a certain amount of intersymbol interference (ISI) is accepted, which violates the fundamental principle of Nyquist WDM. This results in muchrelaxed transceiver bandwidth and simpler spectral design. However, in fasterthanNyquist, implementation complexity is shifted from the transmitter side to the receiver side. Therefore, successful application of fasterthanNyquist depends on innovation in the receiver structure. In this paper, we discuss the guidelines for implementing suboptimum, lowcomplexity receivers based on fasterthanNyquist. We suggest that duobinary shaping is a good technique for trading off achievable spectral efficiency, detection performance, and implementation complexity and might be preferable to Nyquist WDM. Experiments are conducted to verify robustness of the proposed technique.展开更多

With the now present 5G and future 6G, the development of the Internet of Things (IoT), social networks, video on demand, and mobile multimedia platforms, the backbone network is bound to bear more traffic. The transmission capacity of Single Core Fiber (SCFs) may be limited in the future and Spatial Division Multiplexing (SDM) leveraging multi-core fibers promises to be one of the solutions for the future. Currently, Elastic optical networks (EONs) with multi-core fibers (MCFs) are a kind of SDM-enabled EONs (SDM-EON) used to enhance the capacity of transmission. The resource assignment in MCFs, however, will be subject to Inter-Core Crosstalk (IC-XT), hence, reducing the effectiveness of transmission. This research highlights the routing, modulation level, and spectrum assignment (RMLSA) problems with anycast traffic mode in SDM-EON. A multipath routing scheme is used to reduce the blocking rate of anycast traffic in SDM-EON with the limit of inter-core crosstalk. Hence, an integer linear programming (ILP) problem is formulated and a heuristic algorithm is proposed. Two core-assignment strategies: First-Fit (FF) and Random-Fit (RF) are used and their performance is evaluated through simulations. The simulation results show that the multipath routing method is better than the single-path routing method in terms of blocking ratio and spectrum utilization ratio. Moreover, the FF is better than the RF in low traffic load in terms of blocking ratio (BR), and the opposite in high traffic load. The FF is better than the RF in terms of a spectrum utilization ratio. In an anycast protection problem, the proposed algorithm has a lower BR than previous works.展开更多

Motivated by these advantages of OSFBC-OFDM system, this paper considers a secure wireless multicasting scenario through multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) OFDM system employing OSFBC over frequency selective α-μ fading channels. The authors are interested to protect the desired signals from eavesdropping considering the impact of the number of multicast users and eavesdroppers, and the fading parameters α and μ. A mathematical model has been developed based on the closed-form analytical expressions of the probability of non-zero secrecy multicast capacity (PNSMC) and the secure outage probability for multi-casting (SOPM) to ensure the security in the presence of multiple eaves-droppers. The results show that the security in MIMO OSFBC OFDM system over α-μ fading is more sensitive to the magnitude of α and μ and this effect increases in the high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) region of the main channel.展开更多

文摘<div style="text-align:justify;"> We present a mode converter and demultiplexer structure for wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) transmission by employing multimode interference (MMI) on Silicon-on-Insulator (SOI) platform. The mode converter and demultiplexer have a compact size of less than 2.7 μm × 43.7 μm. Moreover, the crosstalk between neighboring wavelength channel within C band (1530 nm to 1570 nm) can be reduced by utilizing the tapered phase shifter cascaded with MMI. The simulated results indicate that this structure has a low insertion loss of less than 1 dB, a low crosstalk of better than ?15 dB and a relatively high fabrication tolerance of ~10 nm. Such structure may find many potential applications in silicon photonic integrated devices. </div>
文摘The orthogonal space-frequency block coding (OSFBC) with orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system reduces complexity in the receiver which improves the system performance significantly. The results show that the security in MIMO OSFBC OFDM system over α-μ fading is more sensitive to the magnitude of α and μ and this effect increases in the high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) region of the main channel.
文摘This paper designs a simulation experiment model of the overall structure of time-division multiplexing digital optimal frequency band transmission system based on MATLAB simulation platform. The parameters of each module in the simulation model are set. The working process and performance of the time-division multiplexing digital optimal band transmission system are simulated. The simulation results show that the digital optimal band transmission system achieves the best transmission receiving conditions and performance, and the designed time-division multiplexing optimal digital band transmission simulation system achieves its functions. The research in this paper will help to improve the level of digital communication technology and to understand the structure of time-division multiplexing digital optimal band transmission system.

文摘We propose a transfer-learning multi-input multi-output(TL-MIMO)scheme to significantly reduce the required training complexity for converging the equalizers in mode-division multiplexing(MDM)systems.Based on a built three-mode(LP01,LP11a,and LP11b)multiplexed experimental system,we thoughtfully investigate the TL-MIMO performances on the three-typed data, collecting from different sampling times, launching optical powers, and inputting optical signal-to-noise ratios(OSNRs).A dramatic reduction of approximately 40%–83.33%in the required training complexity is achieved in all three scenarios.Furthermore, the good stability of TL-MIMO in both the launched powers and OSNR test bands has also been proved.

文摘This study presents a high-accuracy,all-fber mode division multiplexing(MDM)reconstructive spectrometer(RS).The MDM was achieved by utilizing a custom-designed 3×1 mode-selective photonics lantern to launch distinct spatial modes into the multimode fber(MMF).This facilitated the information transmission by increasing light scattering processes, thereby encoding the optical spectra more comprehensively into speckle patterns.Spectral resolution of 2 pm and the recovery of 2000 spectral channels were accomplished.Compared to methods employing single-mode excitation and two-mode excitation, the three-mode excitation method reduced the recovered error by 88%and 50%respectively.A resolution enhancement approach based on alternating mode modulation was proposed, reaching the MMF limit for the 3 dB bandwidth of the spectral correlation function. The proof-of-concept study can be further extended to encompass diverse programmable mode excitations. It is not only succinct and highly efcient but also well-suited for a variety of high-accuracy,high-resolution spectral measurement scenarios.
