Container ports and hinterland manufacturing are two important forces of the local participation in economic globalization.This study,taking the Pearl River Delta(PRD),China with an export-oriented economy as an examp...Container ports and hinterland manufacturing are two important forces of the local participation in economic globalization.This study,taking the Pearl River Delta(PRD),China with an export-oriented economy as an example,applies Huff and panel regres-sion models to evaluate the impact of hinterland manufacturing on the development of container ports during the period of 1993–2019.The results show that 1)the spatial patterns of hinterlands for hub ports help to determine the distribution range and scale of economic variables that affect port throughput;2)the hinterland’s gross manufacturing output has universally positive influence on port through-put,wherein export-oriented processing and the entire manufacturing industry have significantly positive impact on port throughput in 1993–2011 and 2001–2019,respectively;3)the two internal structural factors related to an export-oriented economy,labor-intensive sectors and foreign-funded terminals,have positively moderate the direct influence of hinterland manufacturing on port throughput.Our results highlight the importance of local context in understanding port-manufacturing relationship in developing economies.Based on our findings,policy implications are further proposed to enhance port network organization in PRD.展开更多
This research aims to analyze the communication process between the different participating actors in the port of Balboa,in the Panamanian Pacific.The starting hypothesis begins with the normal operation of the port i...This research aims to analyze the communication process between the different participating actors in the port of Balboa,in the Panamanian Pacific.The starting hypothesis begins with the normal operation of the port itself.Considering which strategic actions have potential development and which specific strategic actions are proposed for their improvement,the article begins with a discussion of the nature of ports in Panama and their relationships with the Panama Canal,followed by a literary review of all the effects that climate change may have on navigation on the Panamanian Pacific coast.Next,the implication between the coordination and cooperation between the port,the Panama Canal pilots,and the other actors involved with the arrival and departure of vessels from the port will be analyzed.In a third part,the results of the perception of a significant sample of these actors who were surveyed,which are related to the process,are presented.The document concludes with recommendations on how the Panamanian Pacific port can improve its individual interests through the application of improvements derived from the results of the surveys,for more efficient inter-institutional coordination and cooperation.展开更多

[Objective] The aim was to understand the species composition, distribution, density, seasonal fluctuation and pathogens of mosquitoes in four regions of East China to provide basic data for prevention and control of ...[Objective] The aim was to understand the species composition, distribution, density, seasonal fluctuation and pathogens of mosquitoes in four regions of East China to provide basic data for prevention and control of mosquitoes at ports. [Method] The mosquitoes at 21 ports of four regions in East China were investigated during 2011-2014 by CO2 lamp method, egg collection method, scoop method and visual method. The species of mosquitoes was identified, and pathogens in mosquitoes were detected. [Result] From 2011 to 2014, 102 583 mosquitoes were captured at the ports, belonging to 18 species, 6 genera and 1 family. Culex pipi- ens quinquefasciatus or Culex pipiens pallens was the dominant species at most ports. Mosquitoes could be captured from May to October, and the captured mosquitoes were the most in June. The positive rate of egg collectors was 9.41%, and the positive rate of breeding places was 7.23%. Rare entry mosquitoes were captured, and most of them were C. pipiens pallens. The detection results of dengue fever, malaria and other pathogens were negative. [Conclusion] C. pipiens quinquefasciatus or C. pipiens pallens was dominant at most ports, and the peak period was June. There were breeding environments of mosquitoes at some ports, so the prevention and control of mosquitoes at these ports should be paid more at- tention to in future.展开更多

Objective:Intraperitoneal(IP)chemotherapy through subcutaneous port is an effective treatment for gastric cancer(GC)patients with peritoneal metastasis(PM).The objective of this study is to assess the port complicatio...Objective:Intraperitoneal(IP)chemotherapy through subcutaneous port is an effective treatment for gastric cancer(GC)patients with peritoneal metastasis(PM).The objective of this study is to assess the port complications and risk factors for complications in GC patients with PM.Methods:In retrospective screening of 301 patients with subcutaneous ports implantation,249 GC patients with PM who received IP chemotherapy were screened out for analysis.Port complications and risk factors for complications were analyzed.Results:Of the 249 analyzed patients,57(22.9%)experienced port complications.Subcutaneous liquid accumulation(42.1%)and infection(28.1%)were the main complications,and other complications included port rotation(14.1%),wound dehiscence(12.3%),inflow obstruction(1.7%)and subcutaneous metastasis(1.7%).The median interval between port implantation and occurrence of complications was 3.0 months.Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group(ECOG)performance status[odds ratio(OR),1.74;95%confidence interval(95%CI),1.12-2.69],albumin(OR,3.67;95%CI,1.96-6.86),implantation procedure optimization(OR,0.33;95%CI,0.18-0.61)and implantation groups(OR,0.37;95%CI,0.20-0.69)were independent risk factors for port complications(P<0.05).ECOG performance status was the only factor that related to the grades of port complications(P=0.016).Conclusions:Port complications in GC patients who received IP chemotherapy are manageable.ECOG performance status,albumin,implantation procedure and implantation group are independent risk factors for port complications in GC patients with PM.展开更多

For this purpose,an integrated optimization model is built with tidal time windows as forbidden intervals for berthing or departing. The thermal shock experiment of FG-TBCs specimens was carried out by means of the automatic thermal cycle device, in which the samples were heated to 1200℃ by oxygen-acetylene flame jet then water-quenched to ambient temperature. The temperature—time curves of specimens and photographs can be watched on-line and recorded by a computer during the test. The results show that the totally 1mm-thick FG-TBCs have excellent thermal shock resistance due to the fact that the coatings have no any peeling-off after 200 thermal cycles. The microstructures and morphologies of FG-TBCs were characterized and analyzed by SEM.展开更多
The Himalayas are prone to glacial lake outburst floods,which can pose a severe threat to downstream villages and infrastructure.The Zhangmu and Gyirong land treaty ports are located on the China-Nepal border in the c...The Himalayas are prone to glacial lake outburst floods,which can pose a severe threat to downstream villages and infrastructure.The Zhangmu and Gyirong land treaty ports are located on the China-Nepal border in the central Himalayas.In recent years,the expansion of glacial lakes has increased the threat of these two port regions.This article describes the results of mapping the glacial lakes larger than 0.01 km^2 in the Zhangmu and Gyirong port regions and analyzes their change.It provides a comprehensive assessment of potentially dangerous glacial lakes and predicts the development of future glacial lakes.From 1988 to 2019,the glacial lakes in these port regions underwent"expansion",and moraine-dammed lakes show the most significant expansion trend.A total of eleven potentially dangerous glacial lakes are identified based on the assessment criteria and historical outburst events;most expanded by more than 150%from 1988 to 2019,with some by over 500%.The Cirenmaco,a moraine-dammed lake,is extremely prone to overtopping due to ice avalanches or the melting of dead ice in the dam.For other large lakes,such as the Jialongco,Gangxico and Galongco,ice avalanches may likely cause the lakes to burst besides self-destructive failure.The potential dangers of the Youmojianco glacial lakes,including lakes Nos.9,10 and 11,will increase in the future.In addition,the glacier-bed topography model predicts that 113 glacial lakes with a size larger than 0.01 km^2,a total area of 11.88 km2 and a total volume of 6.37×10^9 m^3 will form in the study area by the end of the 21 century.Due to global warming,the glacial lakes in the Zhangmu and Gyirong port regions will continue to grow in the short term,and hence the risk of glacial lake outburst floods will increase.展开更多

This paper measures the efficiency of ports in the Yangtze River Delta Region(YRDR) in 2008 and 2013 using port berth quantity, quay length, and human resources as input indicators, using cargo and container throughpu...This paper measures the efficiency of ports in the Yangtze River Delta Region(YRDR) in 2008 and 2013 using port berth quantity, quay length, and human resources as input indicators, using cargo and container throughput as output indicators, and considering traditional(foreign trade dependence and industrialization level) and modern environmental factors(traffic line density, financial development level, and informatization level). To achieve such aim, this study constructs a multi-stage data envelopment analysis model(DEA) that identifies effective port decision-making units(DMUs) and generates a highly accurate conclusion by eliminating the interference from the exogenous environment and random errors. First, the external environment significantly affects port efficiency, with the traditional environmental factors showing huge fluctuations and the modern environmental factors producing great benefits. Second, the efficiency of ports in YRDR has increased from 2008 to 2013 primarily because of their pure technical efficiency. Third, the weighted standard deviation ellipse(SDE) analysis results reveal that the efficiency pattern of ports significantly deviates from their throughput pattern, while the center of SDE of port efficiency moves from the eastern coastal regions to the northwest regions. Based on these findings, this paper proposes spatial development strategies for YRDR, such as creating an unblocked environment where spatial elements can freely circulate, intensifying port-city joint development, implementing differentiated policies, and focusing on the spatial collaboration of port efficiency.展开更多

In such setting, less competitive ports may continually lose patronage of shippers (indigenous to them) to adjacent ones with better attributes. The extent of and determinants of inter-port competition in the West Africa's coast are of interest to port administrators/operators who risk losing significant portion of their domestic generated cargo traffic to competing neighbouring ports. In this paper, we explore the question of what port specific attributes serve as competitive basis for West Africa's coastal ports operating in proximity to the other. Through a survey, users of these ports were asked to identify port specific attributes which they consider when deciding which port to use for shipments making. To enrich our empirical model, data collected from the survey were augmented with secondary data (on the identified attributes) obtained from the respective ports. Statistical evidence from data analysis suggests that ports operating in proximity in the West Africa's coast compete on the basis of attributes that minimise costs for port users, viz: ships' pre-berthiig time, ship turnround time, crane efficiency and availability of cargo spaces (proxied by frequency of ship calls). The analysis of marine pollution from ports becomes very necessary and complicated due to the various types of pollution, sources, effects and different characteristics. The sources of environmental pollution other than ships and from industrial activities in port and jetties were critically looked at and analyzed. A complete review of the environmental pollution in ports and the tools to assess and minimize such negative environmental impact are analyzed. The instrument of questionnaires was employed and distributed among two seaports and one jetty;Onne, Okrika and Port Harcourt to collect respondents’ opinions on effects, sources and causes of marine pollution. The chi-square test for independence was used with 180 respondents from Onne port, Port Harcourt port and Okrika jetty. Water sample was collected from Onne seaport and pollution contents such as total petroleum hydrocarbon (TPH), bio-chemical oxygen demand (BOD), turbidity, pH and salinity were tested in the laboratory. The result shows that Onne water had a salinity level of 20,790 (mg/l) which under the salinity range of water is considered saline, a turbidity level of 4.00 (NTU) which was considered average comparing with a 5.00 (NTU) bench mark, BOD5 level of 0.48 (mg/l) which was considered pristine because most pristine seawater will have BOD below 1 (mg/l), pH level of 7.77 which falls under the range of sea water being alkaline (7.2 - 8.4), TPH level of 2.98 (mg/l) since all conditions of sampling and sample preservations were observed and the value is less than the DPR limit (10 mg/l). It was concluded that the activities in Onne port are within the acceptable limits. It was also observed from the questionnaire that a larger population of respondents in Onne, Okrika and Port Harcourt ports where conscious of the sources and effects of environmental pollution from their respective ports.展开更多

As the boundary of vacuum it must be ensured against structural damage. In this study a finite element model of the lower cryopump ports was developed by ANSYS code with a purpose to evaluate the stress and displacement level on it. Two kinds of loads were taken into account. One was the hydrostatic pressure including the normal operation pressure and test pressure. The other was the seismic load. The analysis results show that the peak stress does not exceed the allowable stress for either the hydrostatic pressure or the seismic load according to the ITER structural design criterion, which indicates that the structure has a good safety margin.展开更多

In this paper, the niche width model, niche overlap model, niche suitability and evolutionary momentum model were used to conduct an empirical study on the development competitiveness of nine typical ports in the Yangtze river delta region from 2013 to 2017. Finally, according to the expansion of ecological niche, the separation of ecological niche and the symbiosis of ecological niche, the paper put forward the suggestions for the sustainable development of port logistics in the Yangtze river delta region.展开更多

The purpose is explored in the context of Saudi Arabiaand the city ofArriyadh. Key issues identified related to the dry port development are long term planning and crosssector collaboration. The interconnection between the dry port and the overall transport system and aspects, such as location of business, city logistics, road and rail infrastructure, local, regional and national regulations, etc., is strong. This puts challenge on the coordination and alignment of the different organizations, their strategies and objectives. In a complex situation, such as developing a dry port with many stakeholders, it is crucial that the roles of all actors are clearly defined. Cephalic vein cutdown method has fewer complications but has higher failure rate...Background: Totally implantable access ports (TIAP) could be done in two methods: puncture of subclavian vein and cephalic vein cutdown. Cephalic vein cutdown method has fewer complications but has higher failure rates. We present a method to decrease the failure rates. Methods: We use the continuously injection with diluted heparin solution via catheter while introducing the TIAP catheter into the cephalic vein. Results: From January 2005 to January 2009, 20 patients were performed. This method was successfully applied in 11 patients with no complications. The other 9 patients was unsuccessfully and further underwent guidewire assisted. Conclusions: Continuously injection with diluted heparin solution via catheter while inserting TIAP catheter into the cephalic vein is safe and simple. It could be used for difficulties of insertion of TIAP and increased the successful rates of cephalic vein cut-down method.展开更多

文摘Objective:Intraperitoneal(IP)chemotherapy through subcutaneous port is an effective treatment for gastric cancer(GC)patients with peritoneal metastasis(PM).The objective of this study is to assess the port complications and risk factors for complications in GC patients with PM.Methods:In retrospective screening of 301 patients with subcutaneous ports implantation,249 GC patients with PM who received IP chemotherapy were screened out for analysis.Port complications and risk factors for complications were analyzed.Results:Of the 249 analyzed patients,57(22.9%)experienced port complications.Subcutaneous liquid accumulation(42.1%)and infection(28.1%)were the main complications,and other complications included port rotation(14.1%),wound dehiscence(12.3%),inflow obstruction(1.7%)and subcutaneous metastasis(1.7%).The median interval between port implantation and occurrence of complications was 3.0 months.Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group(ECOG)performance status[odds ratio(OR),1.74;95%confidence interval(95%CI),1.12-2.69],albumin(OR,3.67;95%CI,1.96-6.86),implantation procedure optimization(OR,0.33;95%CI,0.18-0.61)and implantation groups(OR,0.37;95%CI,0.20-0.69)were independent risk factors for port complications(P<0.05).ECOG performance status was the only factor that related to the grades of port complications(P=0.016).Conclusions:Port complications in GC patients who received IP chemotherapy are manageable.ECOG performance status,albumin,implantation procedure and implantation group are independent risk factors for port complications in GC patients with PM.

文摘Tide is a significant factor which interferes with the berthing and departing operations of vessels in tidal ports. It is a preferable way to incorporate this factor into the simultaneous berth allocation and quay crane( QC) assignment problem( BACAP) in order to facilitate the realistic decision-making process at container terminal. For this purpose,an integrated optimization model is built with tidal time windows as forbidden intervals for berthing or departing. A hind-and-fore adjustment heuristic is proposed and applied under an iterative optimization framework. Numerical experiment shows the satisfying performance of the proposed algorithm.
文摘The functionally graded thermal barrier coatings (FG-TBCs) with 80%ZrO2-13%CeO2-7%Y2O3 (C-YSZ)/NiCoCrAlY were prepared using a recently developed supersonic plasma spraying(S-PS) with dual powder feed ports system. The thermal shock experiment of FG-TBCs specimens was carried out by means of the automatic thermal cycle device, in which the samples were heated to 1200℃ by oxygen-acetylene flame jet then water-quenched to ambient temperature. The temperature—time curves of specimens and photographs can be watched on-line and recorded by a computer during the test. The results show that the totally 1mm-thick FG-TBCs have excellent thermal shock resistance due to the fact that the coatings have no any peeling-off after 200 thermal cycles. The microstructures and morphologies of FG-TBCs were characterized and analyzed by SEM.

文摘The Himalayas are prone to glacial lake outburst floods,which can pose a severe threat to downstream villages and infrastructure.The Zhangmu and Gyirong land treaty ports are located on the China-Nepal border in the central Himalayas.In recent years,the expansion of glacial lakes has increased the threat of these two port regions.This article describes the results of mapping the glacial lakes larger than 0.01 km^2 in the Zhangmu and Gyirong port regions and analyzes their change.It provides a comprehensive assessment of potentially dangerous glacial lakes and predicts the development of future glacial lakes.From 1988 to 2019,the glacial lakes in these port regions underwent"expansion",and moraine-dammed lakes show the most significant expansion trend.A total of eleven potentially dangerous glacial lakes are identified based on the assessment criteria and historical outburst events;most expanded by more than 150%from 1988 to 2019,with some by over 500%.The Cirenmaco,a moraine-dammed lake,is extremely prone to overtopping due to ice avalanches or the melting of dead ice in the dam.For other large lakes,such as the Jialongco,Gangxico and Galongco,ice avalanches may likely cause the lakes to burst besides self-destructive failure.The potential dangers of the Youmojianco glacial lakes,including lakes Nos.9,10 and 11,will increase in the future.In addition,the glacier-bed topography model predicts that 113 glacial lakes with a size larger than 0.01 km^2,a total area of 11.88 km2 and a total volume of 6.37×10^9 m^3 will form in the study area by the end of the 21 century.Due to global warming,the glacial lakes in the Zhangmu and Gyirong port regions will continue to grow in the short term,and hence the risk of glacial lake outburst floods will increase.
文摘Ports play a fundamental role in a sustainable integration of Africa in International trade. Both importers and exporters, shipping companies and government, however face high cost for sea transport and substantial inefficiency in port operations. This has resulted in congestion, higher dwell time, higher costs which affect the competitive ability in sub regional and global economy. This study investigates the main factors explaining poor container handling operations and limited competitive ability in Cameroonian Ports and aggregating this to the competitive position of Cameroonian ports in the West and Central African sub-regions (WCA). Using Analytic Hierarchy Process (A.H.P), the paper seeks to provide a basic understanding of container transportation and port’s terminal operations problems (constraints & ineffectiveness) in Cameroon.

文摘This paper measures the efficiency of ports in the Yangtze River Delta Region(YRDR) in 2008 and 2013 using port berth quantity, quay length, and human resources as input indicators, using cargo and container throughput as output indicators, and considering traditional(foreign trade dependence and industrialization level) and modern environmental factors(traffic line density, financial development level, and informatization level). To achieve such aim, this study constructs a multi-stage data envelopment analysis model(DEA) that identifies effective port decision-making units(DMUs) and generates a highly accurate conclusion by eliminating the interference from the exogenous environment and random errors. First, the external environment significantly affects port efficiency, with the traditional environmental factors showing huge fluctuations and the modern environmental factors producing great benefits. Second, the efficiency of ports in YRDR has increased from 2008 to 2013 primarily because of their pure technical efficiency. Third, the weighted standard deviation ellipse(SDE) analysis results reveal that the efficiency pattern of ports significantly deviates from their throughput pattern, while the center of SDE of port efficiency moves from the eastern coastal regions to the northwest regions. Based on these findings, this paper proposes spatial development strategies for YRDR, such as creating an unblocked environment where spatial elements can freely circulate, intensifying port-city joint development, implementing differentiated policies, and focusing on the spatial collaboration of port efficiency.
文摘This paper systematically analyzes and proves the favorable factors of utilizing the ports and the railways in Northeast China for the Asia-Europe land bridge transportation. It will be more beneficial to Dalian Port and HaDa (Harbin-Dalian) and Binzhou (Harbin-Manzhouli) railways in Northeast China to the Siberia railway in Russia than 1) to other ports and the corresponding railways in China, 2) to the Nakhodka Port in Russia and the corresponding railways and 3) to the Chongjin Port in North Korea and the corresponding railways. This paper also puts forward the reform measures to adopt the ports and the railways in the northeast region in China for the land bridge transportation and the problems in transportation policies and management systems.
文摘Ports operating in the same geographical range face significant competition among them. In such setting, less competitive ports may continually lose patronage of shippers (indigenous to them) to adjacent ones with better attributes. The extent of and determinants of inter-port competition in the West Africa's coast are of interest to port administrators/operators who risk losing significant portion of their domestic generated cargo traffic to competing neighbouring ports. In this paper, we explore the question of what port specific attributes serve as competitive basis for West Africa's coastal ports operating in proximity to the other. Through a survey, users of these ports were asked to identify port specific attributes which they consider when deciding which port to use for shipments making. To enrich our empirical model, data collected from the survey were augmented with secondary data (on the identified attributes) obtained from the respective ports. Statistical evidence from data analysis suggests that ports operating in proximity in the West Africa's coast compete on the basis of attributes that minimise costs for port users, viz: ships' pre-berthiig time, ship turnround time, crane efficiency and availability of cargo spaces (proxied by frequency of ship calls). Policy implications of the findings were discussed.

文摘Ports and jetties complex operations come with various forms of pollutions. The analysis of marine pollution from ports becomes very necessary and complicated due to the various types of pollution, sources, effects and different characteristics. The sources of environmental pollution other than ships and from industrial activities in port and jetties were critically looked at and analyzed. A complete review of the environmental pollution in ports and the tools to assess and minimize such negative environmental impact are analyzed. The instrument of questionnaires was employed and distributed among two seaports and one jetty;Onne, Okrika and Port Harcourt to collect respondents’ opinions on effects, sources and causes of marine pollution. The chi-square test for independence was used with 180 respondents from Onne port, Port Harcourt port and Okrika jetty. Water sample was collected from Onne seaport and pollution contents such as total petroleum hydrocarbon (TPH), bio-chemical oxygen demand (BOD), turbidity, pH and salinity were tested in the laboratory. The result shows that Onne water had a salinity level of 20,790 (mg/l) which under the salinity range of water is considered saline, a turbidity level of 4.00 (NTU) which was considered average comparing with a 5.00 (NTU) bench mark, BOD5 level of 0.48 (mg/l) which was considered pristine because most pristine seawater will have BOD below 1 (mg/l), pH level of 7.77 which falls under the range of sea water being alkaline (7.2 - 8.4), TPH level of 2.98 (mg/l) since all conditions of sampling and sample preservations were observed and the value is less than the DPR limit (10 mg/l). It was concluded that the activities in Onne port are within the acceptable limits. It was also observed from the questionnaire that a larger population of respondents in Onne, Okrika and Port Harcourt ports where conscious of the sources and effects of environmental pollution from their respective ports.

文摘The lower cryopump ports in International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) as a part of the vacuum vessel play many important roles. As the boundary of vacuum it must be ensured against structural damage. In this study a finite element model of the lower cryopump ports was developed by ANSYS code with a purpose to evaluate the stress and displacement level on it. Two kinds of loads were taken into account. One was the hydrostatic pressure including the normal operation pressure and test pressure. The other was the seismic load. The analysis results show that the peak stress does not exceed the allowable stress for either the hydrostatic pressure or the seismic load according to the ITER structural design criterion, which indicates that the structure has a good safety margin.
文摘The logistics industry is likened to be the “catalyst” of economic growth. It is one of China’s top ten key revitalization and adjustment industries, and port logistics is the main force to promote regional logistics and regional economic development. This paper, which is based on the niche theory and its corresponding measurement method, establishes the niche evaluation indicator dimension of the development competitiveness of port logistics in the Yangtze river delta. In this paper, the niche width model, niche overlap model, niche suitability and evolutionary momentum model were used to conduct an empirical study on the development competitiveness of nine typical ports in the Yangtze river delta region from 2013 to 2017. Finally, according to the expansion of ecological niche, the separation of ecological niche and the symbiosis of ecological niche, the paper put forward the suggestions for the sustainable development of port logistics in the Yangtze river delta region.

They use a variety of equipment for loading/unloading and movement of cargo, such as marine vessels, cranes, trucks and railroads. These activities can cause large amounts of pollution to the air, water and soil media. Despite the pollution generated, it also serves as a medium for tourism with its cruise liners. This paper discusses port activities and how it effects the environment. The main focus of this paper is Knowledge Sharing for Sustainability of Ports. Sustainability indicators should help in evaluating port conditions and this knowledge sharing among the proposed 10 major world ports should accelerate economic growth and use of latest technologies for pollution reduction.
文摘The purpose of this paper is to explore the development process of a large scale dry port and to analyse what measures and actions are needed in order to support the decision making process and ensure an effective and efficient dry port that serves the City and the region’s current and future needs. The purpose is explored in the context of Saudi Arabiaand the city ofArriyadh. Key issues identified related to the dry port development are long term planning and crosssector collaboration. The interconnection between the dry port and the overall transport system and aspects, such as location of business, city logistics, road and rail infrastructure, local, regional and national regulations, etc., is strong. This puts challenge on the coordination and alignment of the different organizations, their strategies and objectives. In a complex situation, such as developing a dry port with many stakeholders, it is crucial that the roles of all actors are clearly defined. This is essential for utilizing the dry port as a regional tool for planning. In that regard, it is appropriate that the site location decision is clearly connected with an overall city freight vision and strategy.
文摘Background: Totally implantable access ports (TIAP) could be done in two methods: puncture of subclavian vein and cephalic vein cutdown. Cephalic vein cutdown method has fewer complications but has higher failure rates. We present a method to decrease the failure rates. Methods: We use the continuously injection with diluted heparin solution via catheter while introducing the TIAP catheter into the cephalic vein. Results: From January 2005 to January 2009, 20 patients were performed. This method was successfully applied in 11 patients with no complications. The other 9 patients was unsuccessfully and further underwent guidewire assisted. Conclusions: Continuously injection with diluted heparin solution via catheter while inserting TIAP catheter into the cephalic vein is safe and simple. It could be used for difficulties of insertion of TIAP and increased the successful rates of cephalic vein cut-down method.
