The results show that the spherical precursors with the sizes of 0.5-5 μm can be completely converted to LFP/C when the calcination temperature is higher than 500 ℃. The LFP/C microspheres obtained at calcination temperature of 700 ℃ are composed of numerous particles with sizes of -20 nm, and have well-developed interconnected pore structure and large specific surface area of 28.77 mE/g. The specific discharge capacities of the LFP/C obtained at 700 ℃ are 162.43, 154.35 and 144.03 mA.h/g at 0.5C, 1C and 2C, respectively. Meanwhile, the capacity retentions can reach up to 100% after 50 cycles. The improved electrochemical properties of the materials are ascribed to a small Li+ diffusion resistance and special structure of LFP/C microspheres.展开更多

In order to understand the mass and heat transfer phenomena of this novel process, a two-dimensional mathematical model of coupled mass and heat transfer was derived with reference to the cylindrical coordinate system. Three adsorption–desorption equilibrium relationships between the vapour pressure and saturation value namely, power-law, Redhead's style and Kelvin's style equation, were tested. Kelvin's style in exponential form of adsorption equilibrium relation gave an excellent agreement between the model prediction and experimental measurement when the equation parameter, γ, of 5000 was applied. Analyses of temperature and ice saturation profiles show that additional heat needs to be supplied to increase the sample temperature in order to promote the desorption process. Simulation also shows that there is a threshold initial porosity after which the drying time decreased with the increase in the initial porosity. Enhanced freeze-drying is expected to be achieved by simultaneously enhancing mass and heat transfer of the process.展开更多

In this technique, rock that is potential in producing acidity (PAF) will be placed below non-acid producing rock (NAF). Depends on NAF availability in the mine site situation, organic covers can be used to prevent diffusion of oxygen into reactive sulphide wastes and subsequently to eliminate sulphide compounds oxidation and generation of acidic waters. The utilization of additional material cover layer is proposed, by using fly ash and organic material combination. To investigate the possibility of using these materials, a column leaching test in the laboratory scale was conducted with several scenarios of simulation. By comparing between column with different thickness of fly ash and organic material, the leachate water behavior is observed in the experiment, including the measurement of water quality (pH and EC), major cations-anions. In this paper, the chemical composition, phase composition, and microstructure of the post-use dry materials for the working liners melting different kinds of steel were evaluated. Furthermore, the corrosion mechanism of the steel on the furnace lining materials was comprehensively analyzed. The findings reveal a significant ability of the Mn element in the molten steel to diffuse and penetrate into the refractories. Mn oxidizes to form MnO at the steel-refractory interface, and then forms a liquid phase with Al_(2)O_(3). The Cr element is dissolved into corundum and spinel of the refractories, resulting in lattice defects and structural damage of the materials. TiO2reacts with Al_(2)O_(3) to form Al_(2)TiO_(5), which plays a crucial role in preventing crack formation and propagation. Part of Ti4+dissolves into magnesia-alumina(MA), densifying the materials. TiO2also slows down the reaction between the Cr element and refractory components, further improving the corrosion resistance of the materials.展开更多

Femtosecond laser ablation has the capability to fabricate three-dimensional micro/nanostructures in hard materials. However, the low efficiency, low precision and high surface roughness are the main stumbling blocks for femtosecond laser processing of hard materials. So far, etching- assisted femtosecond laser modification has demonstrated to be the efficient strategy to solve the above problems when processing hard materials, including wet etching and dry etching. In this review, femtosecond laser modification that would influence the etching selectivity is introduced. The fundamental and recent applications of the two kinds of etching assisted femtosecond laser modification technologies are summarized. In addition, the challenges and application prospects of these technologies are discussed.展开更多

The coated materials are synthesized via a simple dry coating method of NCA with Zr(OH)powders, and then characterized with scanning electron microscopy(SEM), transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS). Experimental results show that amorphous Zr(OH)powders have been successfully coated on the surface of spherical NCA particles, exhibiting improved electrochemical performance. 0.50 wt% Zr(OH)coated NCA delivers a capacity of 197.6 mAh/g at the first cycle and 154.3 mAh/g after 100 cycles with a capacity retention of 78.1% at 1 C rate. In comparison, the pure NCA shows a capacity of 194.6 mAh/g at the first cycle and 142.5 mAh/g after 100 cycles with a capacity retention of 73.2% at 1 C rate. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) results show that the coated material exhibits a lower resistance, indicating that the coating layer can efficiently suppress transition metals dissolution and decrease the side reactions at the surface between the electrode and electrolyte. Therefore, surface coating with amorphous Zr(OH)is a simple and useful method to enhance the electrochemical performance of NCA-based materials for the cathode of LIBs.展开更多

Formation of nine hiogenic amines was determined in three sausage groups produced from hot deboned (A1) and cold meat (B1, B3) during drying and ripening in traditional room (A1, B1) and in industrial ripening chamber (B3). Dansyl chloride derived amines were analysed by high-performance liquid chromatography with diode-array detector (HPLC-DAD) on Eclipse XDB-C18 column. Histamine, the most important amine from food safety point of view, was not found in any of the analyzed samples. Serotonin and spermidine were also not detected in any samples, while spermin was determined in all analyzed samples. At the end of drying, phenylethylamine was the predominant amine in A1 sausage group (51.6 mg/kg), and tryptamine in B1 (38.1 mg/kg) and B3 (28.7 mg/kg) sausage groups. At the end of ripening, tryptamine was the predominant biogenic amine in all sausage groups (133, 121 and 39.8 mg/kg in A1, B1 and B3 groups, respectively). Total level of biogenic amines in all investigated sausages did not exceed 174 mg/kg at the end of drying and 238 mg/kg at the end of ripening period. Tryptamine and cadaverine may be used as indicators of total biogenic amines for sausages produced in traditional and indusrial conditions from hot deboned and cold meat.展开更多

Based on the raw material fractionation at decreased temperatures the method results in the production of bioactive food stuffs, which are dry juice and refuse and natural water. The method includes the production of directly extracted juice and pulp refuse, juice evaporation in vacuum with the production of concentrate and natural water, and air drying the concentrate and the refuse. The method is realized for garden strawberry and cucurbit pulp. The mass concentration of solid in the fractions of cucurbit pulp is defined and the specific weight of the fractions are defined. It is shown that the solid of the cucurbit pulp is uniformly allocated between the fractions and amounts 34% for the dry juice, 31% for the dry refuse, and 35% for the natural water. Food and biological values of the cucurbit pulp fractions are determined. It is determined that the cucurbit includes silicium, nickel, and chromium. Silicium is contained only in dry fractions;nickel is present everywhere;chromium is discovered only in the natural water. Food and biological values of the cucurbit pulp are defined and their allocation between the fractions is determined. Separate components concentrations of the solid considerably differ between the fractions. Thus, two thirds of pulp protein is concentrated in the dry juice and a third is concentrated in the refuse. The natural water contains up to 90% of fat and sugar, from a half to two thirds of B-group vitamins, and the bulk of the mineral substances (K, Na, Ca, Mg, S, Co, Cu, Ni, Cr, and Zn), which concentration composes from 73% for potassium up to 100% for chromium.展开更多

Preliminary investigations focused on fabricating the high emissivity powders for infrared radiation coatings and finding the relationship between microstructure and emissivity. The NiCr2O4 powders were characterized for composition, microstructure, and infrared emissivity by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), infrared radiant instrument, and Fourier transform infrared spectra (FT-IR). Thermogravimetry and differential thermal analysis show that the appropriate baking temperature for NiCr2O4 powder preparation is about 1200?C. The emissivity measurement and FT-IR spectra show that, because of the special spinel structure, the NiCr2O4 powders have a high emissivity about 0.91. Spray-drying is a suitable method to produce the high emissivity ceramic powders.展开更多

The experimental results indicate that the crystal structure and morphology of Ti-Nb alloys are sensitive to their niobium contents. When Nb content is 5%, the acicular α crystal grain is observed. When Nb content is 10%, the coarse equiaxed crystal grain and the fine, acicular α crystal grain are observed. When Nb content is 15%, only the α equiaxed crystal grain is observed. When the alloy contains 20%Nb, the equiaxed and dendritic α crystal grain are observed. For Ti-Nb alloys, the increase of Nb content modifies the microstructure of Ti-Nb alloys significantly and decreases their compression elastic modulus, in which Ti-20Nb alloy shows the largest compression strength and Ti-5Nb alloy shows the best plasticity. The dry wear resistance of Ti-Nb alloys against Gr15 ball was investigated on CJS111A ball-disk wear instrument. For Ti-Nb alloys, Ti-10Nb alloy shows a smallest steady friction coefficient, Ti-5Nb alloy shows the smallest wear depth and best wear resistance, and Ti-15Nb alloy shows the largest wear depth and worst wear resistance. The phenomenon of furrow cut happens and furrows form during wear tests.展开更多

文摘With high hardness, high thermal and chemical stability and excellent optical performance, hard materials exhibit great potential applications in various fields, especially in harsh conditions. In addition, the challenges and application prospects of these technologies are discussed.
文摘Bentonite-based materials have been considered in many countries as engineered barrier/backfilling materials in deep geological disposal of high-level radioactive waste.During the long period of waste storage, these materials will play an essential role in ensuring the integrity of the storage system that consists of the waste canisters, the engineered barrier/backfill,the retaining structures as well as the geological barrier. Thus,it is essential to well understand the hydro-mechanical behaviours of these bentonite-based materials. This review paper presents the recent advances of knowledge on MX80 bentonite-based materials,in terms of water retention properties, hydraulic behaviour and mechanical behaviour.Emphasis is put on the effect of technological voids and the role of the dry density of bentonite. The swelling anisotropy is also discussed based on the results from swelling tests with measurements of both axial and radial swelling pressures on a sand-bentonite mixture compacted at different densities.Microstructure observation was used to help the interpretation of macroscopic hydromechanical behaviour. Also, the evolution of soil microstructure thus the soil density over time is discussed based on the results from mock-up tests. This evolution is essential for understanding the longterm hydro-mechanical behaviour of the engineered barrier/backfill.

文摘LiNiCoAlO(NCA) with Zr(OH)coating is demonstrated as high performance cathode material for lithium ion batteries(LIBs). Therefore, surface coating with amorphous Zr(OH)is a simple and useful method to enhance the electrochemical performance of NCA-based materials for the cathode of LIBs.

文摘Petrovska klobasa is a traditional dry fermented sausage produced in the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina. Tryptamine and cadaverine may be used as indicators of total biogenic amines for sausages produced in traditional and indusrial conditions from hot deboned and cold meat.
文摘We introduced a method of deep resources-economy reprocessing of fruit raw material. The natural water contains up to 90% of fat and sugar, from a half to two thirds of B-group vitamins, and the bulk of the mineral substances (K, Na, Ca, Mg, S, Co, Cu, Ni, Cr, and Zn), which concentration composes from 73% for potassium up to 100% for chromium.
文摘With the industrialisation, industrial byproducts are produced in large quantities and create nuisance to natural habitats. The disposal of these wastes like fly ash, marble powder, construction and demolition(C&D)waste, brick powder, agricultural wastes etc.has become the potential threat to the ecosystem and need some real solutions. The direct disposal of such wastes into open land or water bodies causes circumambient pollution. One of the potential solutions is to utilise these wastes in the construction industry on large scale as subgrade rehab or additive to cement based materials. In the present study, the compaction and strength characteristics of stabilised soil have been studied by using various waste materials i.e.lime,cement,plastic waste, industrial waste, fibre, mushroom waste, wet olive pomace etc.and reviewed. The addition of additives improved the engineering properties of soil significantly.
文摘Spray-drying was used to produce the high emissivity NiCr2O4 powders with a spinel structure. Spray-drying is a suitable method to produce the high emissivity ceramic powders.

文摘The microstructure and properties of a series of binary Ti-Nb alloys for dental prostheses with niobium contents ranging from 5% to 20% were investigated. The phenomenon of furrow cut happens and furrows form during wear tests.

文摘The effect of drying techniques on the microstructure, morphology and pore structure of porous silica gels was studied in the paper. The gels were prepared by using sol-gel process and different drying routes:freeze-drying (FD),low pressure drying (LPD),high temperature drying (HTD) and chemical modification & ambient drying (CMD) techniques.Observation under pore distribution and structural properties showed that CMD technique leads to homogenous mesoporous silica material with specific surface area of 745 m2/g,and the average pore size around 20 nm,while LPD and HTD result in loosely packed particles with non-isotropic aggregation pattern. The specific surface areas of LPD and HTD samples are 419 and 513 m2/g respectively, and the pore size distribution of the samples are observed distributing widely in range of 10-100 nm.Freeze drying method is a new but prospective way to prepare mesoporous silica. The specific area of FD sample is around 500 m2/g.By the comparison for the properties of the gels, this paper wants to induce a further interest in finding a proper method to synthesize the porous silica gels for low price use.
