It is first research for rice husk drying,and it can provide reference of fuel processing for different boilers which require rice husk with various water contents. In this paper,we apply Page equation to reflect the drying process and obtain drying characteristic curve,then analyze the drying law. Kinetic analysis of the results of moisture migration test has been done,after which, effective moisture diffusion coefficient,activation energy and drying kinetic equation of rice husk samples are obtained in test temperature range (80 - 130 ℃) . Sea cucumbers are common foods in Asian culture. They are commonly eaten as dry-salted. Thus, a dry-salting protocol for cucumbers includes the processes of: gutting, cooking, salting, drying and packing. Drying trial...Sea cucumbers are common foods in Asian culture. They are commonly eaten as dry-salted. Thus, a dry-salting protocol for cucumbers includes the processes of: gutting, cooking, salting, drying and packing. Drying trials were conducted at 50℃ and 60℃ in an oven and air-dried, with no difference (P > 0.05) in yield observed between them. Protein content varied depending on the type of drying, while fat content did not change significantly (P > 0.05). Final yield ranged between 5% to 7% of initial mass, with the main losses in mass (due to water loss) registered in the gutting and cooking stages. The sea cucumbers dried in an oven at 60℃ reached the humidity goal faster and there were statistically significant differences (P Isostichopus sp. aff badionotus is for consumers a viable alternative source of protein.展开更多

Results obtained in this study showed that operating the fluidized bed dryer wi...This study reports the effect of vertical baffles on the group D powder mixing and drying characteristics in a batch fluidized bed dryer. Results obtained in this study showed that operating the fluidized bed dryer with vertical baffles gave better particle mixing. This is due to the fact that the vertical baffles acted to limit the growth of small bubbles into large bubbles and the small bubbles caused more vigorous mixing in the bed of particles before finally erupting at the bed surface. Thus, insertion of vertical baffles is a useful way to process group D particles in a fluidized bed, especially when the fluidized bed is large.展开更多
