Most coherence estimators are obtained from a Hermitian product based on local statistics. Increasing the number of samples in the local window can improve the estimation bias, but cause the loss of the estimated images spatial resolution. The limitations of these estimators lead to unclear contour of the disturbed region, and even the omission of fine change targets. In this paper, a CCD approach is proposed to detect fine scene changes from multi-temporal and multi-angle SAR image pairs. Multi-angle CCD estimator can improve the contrast between the change target and the background clutter by jointly accumulating singleangle alternative estimator results without further loss of image resolution. The sensitivity of detection performance to image quantity and angle interval is analyzed. Theoretical analysis and experimental results verify the performance of the proposed algorithm.展开更多

The time domain signal of every code sequence is collected by the data acquisition card (DAQ). A shift-averaging technique is applied in the frequency domain for the reason that the local oscillator (LO) in the coherent detection is fix-frequency deviated from the primary source. With the 31-bit simplex code, the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) has 3.5-dB enhancement with the same single pulse traces, accordant with the theoretical analysis. The frequency fluctuation for simplex codes is 14.01 MHz less than that for a single pulse as to 4-m spatial resolution. The results are believed to be beneficial for the BOTDR performance improvement.展开更多

In this paper, we investigate the frequency response range of this novel detection technology by simulating the motion of carriers in gallium arsenide(GaAs) by the ensemble Monte Carlo method. At room temperature, for a direct-current(DC) voltage of 20 kV/cm applied to the semiconductor(GaAs) and sampling time o140 fs, the luminescence quenching phenomena induced by terahertz pulses with different center frequencies are studied The results show that the quenching efficiency is independent of the THz frequency when the frequency is in a range o0.1 THz–4 THz. However, when the frequency exceeds 4 THz, the efficiency decreases with the increase of frequency Therefore, the frequency response range is 0.1 THz–4 THz. Moreover, when the sampling time is changed to 100 fs the frequency response range is extended to be approximately 0.1 THz–5.6 THz. This study of the frequency-dependen characteristics of the luminescence response to the THz pulse can provide a theoretical basis for the exploration of THz detection technology.展开更多

This paper proposes a non-coherent sequence detection scheme for the satellite-based AIS signal transmitted over the white Gaussian noise channel. Based on the maximum likelihood estimation and a Viterbi decoder, the proposed scheme is capable of tolerating a frequency offset up to 5% of the symbol rate. The complexity of the proposed scheme is reduced by the state-complexity reduction, which is based on per-survivor processing. Simulation results prove that the proposed non-coherent sequence detection scheme has high robustness to frequency offset compared to the relative scheme when messages collision exists.展开更多

However, a prior date of surface change is required to select a feasible image pair. We propose an automatic spatio-temporal change detection method by identifying the temporary coherent scatterers. Based on amplitude time series, χ^(2)-test and iterative single pixel change detection are proposed to identify all step-times: the moments of the surface change. Then the parameters, e.g., deformation velocity and relative height, are estimated and corresponding coherent periods are identified by using interferometric phase time series. With identified temporary coherent scatterers, different types of temporal surface changes can be classified using the location of the coherent periods and spatial significant changes are identified combining point density and F values. The main advantage of our method is automatically detecting spatio-temporal surface changes without prior information. Experimental results by the proposed method show that both appearing and disappearing buildings with their step-times are successfully identified and results by ascending and descending SAR images show a good agreement.展开更多

In this paper, a novel algorithm for saliency detection based on superpixels clustering and stereo disparity (SDC) is proposed. Firstly, we use an improved superpixels clustering method to decompose the given image. Then, the disparity of each superpixel is computed by a modified stereo correspondence algorithm. Finally, a new measure which combines stereo disparity with color contrast and spatial coherence is defined to evaluate the saliency of each superpixel. From the experiments we can see that regions with high disparity can get higher saliency value, and the saliency maps have the same resolution with the source images, objects in the map have clear boundaries. Due to the use of superpixel and stereo disparity information, the proposed method is computationally efficient and outperforms some state-of-the-art color- based saliency detection methods.展开更多

METHODS:Fifteen subjects were recruited. The corneal images from optical coherence tomography(OCT)were imported into Matlab software. Five edge detection methods(Canny,Log,Prewitt,Roberts,Sobel)were used to identify the corneal surface. Then two manual identifying methods(ginput and getpts)were applied to identify the edge coordinates respectively. The differences among these methods were compared. Binomial curve(y=Ax2+Bx+C),Polynomial curve [p(x)=p1xn+p2x(n-1)+....+pnx+pn+1] and Conic section(Ax2+Bxy+Cy2+Dx+Ey+F=0)were used for curve fitting the corneal surface respectively. The relative merits among three fitting curves were analyzed. Finally, the eccentricity(e)obtained by corneal topography and conic section were compared with paired t-test. RESULTS:Five edge detection algorithms all had continuous coordinates which indicated the edge of the corneal surface. The ordinates of manual identifying were close to the inside of the actual edges. Binomial curve was greatly affected by tilt angle. Polynomial curve was lack of geometrical properties and unstable. Conic section could calculate the tilted symmetry axis, eccentricity, circle center, etc. There were no significant differences between 'e' values by corneal topography and conic section(t=0.9143,P=0.3760 〉0.05).CONCLUSION:It is feasible to simulate the corneal surface with mathematical curve with Matlab software. Edge detection has better repeatability and higher efficiency. The manual identifying approach is an indispensable complement for detection. Polynomial and conic section are both the alternative methods for corneal curve fitting. Conic curve was the optimal choice based on the specific geometrical properties.展开更多

The main challenge associated with a tomographic characterization of the single photon state is mode matching between the single photon state and the local oscillator. Utilizing the heralded single photon generated by the spontaneous parametric process, the multi-mode theoretical model of quantum interference between the single photon state and the coherent state in the fiber beam splitter is established. Moreover, the analytical expressions of the temporal-mode matching coefficient and interference visibility and relationship between the two parameters are shown. In the experimental scheme, the interference visibility under various temporalmode matching coefficients is demonstrated, which is almost accordant with the theoretical value. Our work explores the principle of temporal-mode matching between the single photon state and the coherent photon state, originated from a local oscillator, and could provide guidance for designing the high-performance balanced homodyne detection system.展开更多

文摘It has been proposed previously that the coherent detection of a terahertz(THz) pulse can be achieved based on the time-resolved luminescence quenching. This study of the frequency-dependen characteristics of the luminescence response to the THz pulse can provide a theoretical basis for the exploration of THz detection technology.

From the experiments we can see that regions with high disparity can get higher saliency value, and the saliency maps have the same resolution with the source images, objects in the map have clear boundaries. Due to the use of superpixel and stereo disparity information, the proposed method is computationally efficient and outperforms some state-of-the-art color- based saliency detection methods.

文摘AIM:To select the optimal edge detection methods to identify the corneal surface, and compare three fitting curve equations with Matlab software. Conic curve was the optimal choice based on the specific geometrical properties.

文摘We propose a nearly perfect optical scheme for the quantum teleportation of entangled coherent states using optical devices such as nonlinear Kerr media, beam splitters, phase shifters, and photon detectors. Different from those previous schemes, our scheme needs only "yes" or"no" measurements of the photon number of the related modes, i.e. nonzero-and zero-photon measurements, while in previous schemes one has to exactly identify the even or odd parity character of the photon numbers detected by detectors.

文摘In the seismic profile interpretation process,as the seismic data are big and the small geological features are difficult to identify, improvement of the efficiency is needed. In this study, structure tensor method in computer image edge detection processing is applied into the 2D seismic profile. Coherent attribute is used to extract formation edge. At the same time, extracting the eigenvalues and eigenvectors to calculate the seismic geometric properties which include dip and apparent dip, automatic identification is achieved. Testing the Gaussian kernel function with synthetic models and comparing the coherent attribute and dip attribute extraction results before and after, the conclusion that Gaussian filter can remove the random noise is obtained.

文摘The problem of adaptive detection in the situation of signal mismatch is considered; that is, the actual signal steering vector is not aligned with the nominal one. Two novel tunable detectors are proposed. They can control the degree to which the mismatched signals are rejected. Remarkably, it is found that they both cover existing famous detectors as their special cases. More importantly, they possess the constant false alarm rate(CFAR)property and achieve enhanced mismatched signal rejection or improved robustness than their natural competitors. Besides, they can provide slightly better matched signals detection performance than the existing detectors.

文摘Foreground detection is a fundamental step in visual surveillance. However, accurate foreground detection is still a challenging task especially in dynamic backgrounds. In this paper,we present a nonparametric approach to foreground detection in dynamic backgrounds. It uses a history of recently pixel values to estimate background model.Besides, the adaptive threshold and spatial coherence are introduced to enhance robustness against false detections.Experimental results indicate that our approach achieves better performance in dynamic backgrounds compared with several approaches.

文摘Balanced homodyne detection has been introduced as a reliable technique of reconstructing the quantum state of a single photon Fock state, which is based on coupling the single photon state and a strong coherent local oscillator in a beam splitter and detecting the field quadrature at the output ports separately. Our work explores the principle of temporal-mode matching between the single photon state and the coherent photon state, originated from a local oscillator, and could provide guidance for designing the high-performance balanced homodyne detection system.
