BACKGROUND Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)with multiparametric dynamic contrast plays a critical role in the assessment of breast lesions.Dynamic curves are a critical parameter in determining the benign or malignant nature of lesions.Dynamic curves of type 1 are known to represent benign masses, while dynamic curves of type 3 are known to identify malignant masses.Type 2 dynamic curves have a sensitivity of 42.6%and specificity of 75%for malignancy detection.AIM To investigate the pathological diagnosis of lesions with type 2 dynamic curves.METHODS We evaluated breast MRI examinations performed between 2020 and 2021 retrospectively and included lesions with type 2 dynamic curves. We included 38 lesions from 33 patients. The lesions were evaluated for their pathological diagnosis and morphological characteristics.RESULTS Twenty-six lesions were malignant, while twelve were benign. The most frequently encountered benign lesion(7/12,58.3%)was sclerosing adenosis, while the most frequently encountered malignant diagnosis was invasive ductal cancer. The presence of a type 2 dynamic curve had a sensitivity of 40.2%and specificity of 73.4%for predicting malignancy.By combining type 2 curves and morphological features, the sensitivity and specificity were increased.CONCLUSION The high rates of malignancy detected histopathologically among patients with type 2 dynamic curves in our study are remarkable.Type 2 dynamic curves can be detected in benign breast masses, especially in sclerosing adenosis cases.Considering morphological features can increase the diagnostic accuracy in cases with type 2 dynamic curves. 展开更多

A new method of detecting the vertical bearing capacity for single-pile with high strain is discussed in this paper. A heavy hammer or a small type of rocket is used to strike the pile top and the detectors are used to record vibra- tion graphs. An expression of higher degree of strain (deformation force) is introduced. It is testified theoretically that the displacement, velocity and acceleration cannot be obtained by simple integral acceleration and differential velocity when long displacement and high strain exist, namely when the pile phase generates a whole slip relative to the soil body. That is to say that there are non-linear relations between them. It is educed accordingly that the force P and displacement S are calculated from the amplitude of wave train and (dynamic) P-S curve is drew so as to determine the yield points. Further, a method of determining the vertical bearing capacity for single-pile is dis- cussed. A static load test is utilized to check the result of dynamic test and determine the correlative constants of dynamic-static P(Q)-S curve. 展开更多

The effect of the fastener's failure in a railway track on the dynamic forces produced in the wheel-rail contact is studied using the simulation software VAMPIRE to assess the derailment risk of two different vehicles in two curves with distinct characteristics. First, a 3D-FEM model of a real track is constructed, paying special attention to fasteners, and calibrated with displacement data obtained experimentally during a train passage. This numerical model is subsequently used to determine the track vertical and lateral stiffness. This study evidences that although the track can practically lose its lateral stiffness as a consequence of the failure of 7 consecutive fasteners, the vehicle stability would not be necessarily compromised in the flawed zone. Moreover, the results reveal that the uncompensated acceleration and the distance along which the fasteners are failed play an important role in the dynamic behavior of the vehicle-track system, influencing strongly the risk of derailment. 展开更多

Methane(CH_(4))as a substitute for other mineral fuels plays a crucial role in reducing energy consumption and preventing environmental pollution. The present study employs a solvothermal method to fabricate a porous framework Co-metal-organic framework(Co-MOF)containing two distinct secondary building units(SBUs):an anionic[Co_(2)(μ_(2)-OH)(COO)_(4)(H_(2)O)]and a neutral[CoN_(2)(COO)_(2)].Notably,within the anionic SBUs,the coordinated water molecules induce the generation of divergent unsaturated Co(Ⅱ)centers in the unidirectional porous channels, thereby creating open metal sites. The adsorption performance of Co-MOF towards pure component gases was systematically investigated. The results demonstrated that Co-MOF exhibits superior adsorption capacity for C_(2)-C_(3) hydrocarbons compared to CH_(4),which offers the potential for efficient adsorption and separation of CH_(4) from C_(2)-C_(3) hydrocarbons. The gas selectivity separation ratios of Co-MOF for C_(2)H_(6)/CH_(4) and C_(3)H_8/CH_(4) were calculated using the ideal adsorbed solution theory method at 273/298 K and 0.1 MPa.The results revealed that Co-MOF achieved remarkable equilibrium separation selectivity for CH_(4) and C_(2)-C_(3) hydrocarbon gases among non-modified MOFs,signifying the potential of the synthesized Co-MOF for efficient recovery and purification of CH_(4) from C_(2)-C_(3) hydrocarbons.Breakthrough experiments further demonstrate the ability of Co-MOF to purify methane from C_(2)-C_(3) hydrocarbons in practical gas separation scenarios.Additionally, molecular simulation calculations further substantiate the propensity of anionic SBUs to interact with C_(2)-C_(3) hydrocarbon compounds. This study provides a novel paradigm for the development of porous MOF materials in the application of gas mixture separation. 展开更多

A modification of central profile with trigonometric curve is proposed based on the theory of engagement of scroll compressor. General modification equations for central profile of a pair of scrolls are given and various modification patterns are discussed. The equidistant method is employed to calculate the volume of a sealed chamber and a set of general equations is represented. Modification parameters affecting geometric and dynamic property of a scroll compressor are analyzed systematically, and the relations between them are accurately determined. The condition for transforming a trigonometric curve modification into an arc-curve modification is explained. The conclusions can also be applied to other scroll fluid machines. 展开更多

By using tilting carbodies, train can negotiate at a higher speed withoutreducing the passenger's ride quality. This is a good method to allow a significant increase inspeed at existing track to improve the railway transportation capability, and to enhance thecompetition ability of railways with other transportation systems. With the increase of the curvenegotiation speed, the wheel-rail lateral forces and wheel-rail wear of the tilting train willincrease. The self-steering radial bogie is an effective way to solve the problem. The dynamic modelof the tilting passenger car with self-steering bogies is established in detail, and the curvingperformance of the car is investigated. 展开更多

Welded joint is a mechanical heterogeneous body, and mechanical heterogeneity has great effect on dynamic fracture behaviour of welded joints. In the present investigation, dynamic response curve and dynamic J-integral of practical undermatched welded joint and whole base and whole weld three-point-bend (TPB) models containing longitudinal crack are com- puted. Dynamic J-integral is evaluated using virtual crack extension (VCE) method and the computation is performed using MARC finite element code. Because of the effect of inertia, dynamic load response curve of computed model waves periodically. Dynamic J-integral evaluated by VCE method is path independent. The effect of inertia has little influence on dynamic J-integral curve. The value of dynamic J-integral of undermatched welded joint is lower than that of whole base metal and higher than that of whole weld metal. The results establish the foundation of safety evaluation for dynamic loaded welded structures. 展开更多

By studying the pile-formula and stress-wave methods (e.g., CASE method), the authors propose a new method for testing piles using the single-impact energy and P-S curves. The vibration and wave figures are recorded, and the dynamic and static displacements are measured by different transducers near the top of piles when the pile is im- pacted by a heavy hammer or micro-rocket. By observing the transformation coefficient of driving energy (total energy), the consumed energy of wave motion and vibration and so on, the vertical bearing capacity for single pile is measured and calculated. Then, using the vibration wave diagram, the dynamic relation curves between the force (P) and the displacement (S) is calculated and the yield points are determined. Using the static-loading test, the dynamic results are checked and the relative constants of dynamic-static P-S curves are determined. Then the sub- sidence quantity corresponding to the bearing capacity is determined. Moreover, the shaped quality of the pile body can be judged from the formation of P-S curves. 展开更多

Among the geotechnical in situ tests, the dynamic penetration test(DPT)is commonly used around the world. However,DPT remains a rough technique and provides only one failure parameter:blow count or cone resistance. This paper presents an improvement of the dynamic cone penetration test(DCPT)for soil characterisation based on the wave equation theory.Implemented on an instrumented lightweight dynamic penetrometer driving with variable energy, the main process of the test involves the separation and reconstruction of the waves propagating in the rods after each blow and provides a dynamic cone load-penetration(DCLT)curve.An analytical methodology is used to analyse this curve and to estimate additional strength and deformation parameters of the soil:dynamic and pseudo-static cone resistances, deformation modulus and wave velocity.Tests carried out in the laboratory on different specimens(wood, concrete, sand and clay)in an experimental sand pit and in the field demonstrated that the resulting DCLT curve is reproducible, sensitive and reliable to the test conditions(rod length, driving energy, etc.)as well as to the soil properties(nature,density,etc.).Obtained results also showed that the method based on shock polar analysis makes it possible to evaluate mechanical impedance and wave velocity of soils,as demonstrated by the comparisons with cone penetration test(CPT)and shear wave velocity measurements made in the field. This technique improves the method and interpretation of DPT and provides reliable data for shallow foundation design. 展开更多

This paper reports on two sets of centrifuge model tests of wind turbines in dry sand and saturated sand subjected to earthquake sequences. The wind turbine system is composed of a single pile foundation and a wind turbine. All tests were applied with liquefaction experiments and analysis projects(LEAP)waves to simplify the analysis. The objectives of the tests are to investigate:(1)the influence of earthquake history on the seismic response of wind turbines;(2)the influence of earthquake history on the dynamic pile-soil interaction;and(3)the influence of two different foundation types on the seismic response of wind turbines. The tests indicated that earthquake history has a significant influence on the natural frequency of the pile and the soil around the pile in the saturated sand, but has no obvious influence on the dry sand. The shear modulus of the soil and the acceleration amplification factor of the pile top in both tests increased and the maximum bending moment envelope of the single pile foundation shrunk. The stiffness of the p-y curve in saturated sand was increased by the earthquake history, while that in dry sand was not significantly affected. 展开更多

Ab initio two-phase molecular dynamics simulations were performed on silica at pressures of 20-160 GPa and temperatures of 2 500-6 000 K to examine its solid-liquid phase boundary. Results indicate a melting temperature (Tin) of 5 900 K at 135 GPa. This is 1 100 K higher than the temperature considered for the core-mantle boundary (CMB) of about 3 800 K. The calculated melting temperature is fairly consistent with classical MD (molecular dynamics) simulations. For liquid silica, the O-O coordination number is found to be 12 along the Tm and is almost unchanged with increasing pressure. The self-diffusion coefficients of O and Si atoms are determined to be 1.3×10^-9-3.3×10^-9 m2/s, and the viscosity is 0.02-0.03 Pa's along the Tin. We find that these transport properties depend less on pressure in the wide range up of more than 135 GPa. The eutectic temperatures in the MgO-SiO2 systems were evaluated and found to be 700 K higher than the CMB temperature, though they would decrease considerably in more realistic mantle compositions. 展开更多

Threshold voltage (V_(TH)) hysteresis affects the dynamic characteristics of silicon carbide (SiC) MOSFETs, whichin turn affects reliability of a device. In this paper, a dynamichysteresis curve is proposed as an evaluation method of theinfluence of V_(TH) hysteresis on the switching characteristics ofSiC MOSFETs. This method can eliminate the impact of triggerlevel and obtain the dynamic V_(TH). Furthermore, the influence ofparasitic parameters on dynamic V_(TH) hysteresis is theoreticallyanalyzed. Double pulse tests under different parasitic parametersare performed on three SiC MOSFETs with different gatestructures to verify the analysis. Results show that gate resistance(R_(G)) and source inductance (L_(S)) have more significant effectson dynamic V_(TH) hysteresis compared with gate inductance anddrain inductance. V_(TH) hysteresis phenomenon weakens withincrease of R_(G) or L_(S), which is related to device structure. The results presented in this paper can provide guidance forthe design of circuit parasitic parameters of SiC MOSFETs toregulate V_(TH) hysteresis. 展开更多
