Considering the fact that the increasing and decreasing slopes of the inductor current are assumed to be constant during each switching cycle, an especial sampleddata model of valley voltage-mode controlled buck-boost converter is established. Based on this model, the dynamical effect of an output-capacitor time-constant on the valley voltage-mode controlled buck-boost converter is revealed and analyzed via the bifurcation diagrams, the movements of eigenvalues, the Lyapunov exponent spectra, the boundary equations, and the operating-state regions. It is found that with gradual reduction of output-capacitor time-constant, the buck-boost converter in continuous conduction mode(CCM) shows the evolutive dynamic behavior from period-1 to period-2, period-4, period-8, chaos, and invalid state. The stability boundary and the invalidated boundary are derived theoretically by stability analysis, where the stable state of valley voltage-mode controlled buck-boost converter can enter into an unstable state, and the converter can shift from the operation region to a forbidden region. These results verified by time-domain waveforms and phase portraits of both simulation and experiment indicate that the sampled-data model is correct and the time constant of the output capacitor is a critical factor for valley voltage-mode controlled buck-boost converter, which has a significant effect on the dynamics as well as control stability.展开更多

Firstly, the nonlinear mathematical model of the tail-controlled missile is decomposed into slow acceleration dynamics and fast pitch rate dynamics based on the naturally existing time scale separation. Secondly, the controller based on DSC is designed after obtaining the linear dynamics characteristics of the slow and fast subsystems. An extended state observer is used to detect the uncertainty of the system state variables and aerodynamic parameters to achieve the compensation of the control law. The structural features of parallel manipulators are dynamic, a characteristic that is particularly significant when these manipulators are used in high-speed machine tools. However, normal kinematic control method cannot satisfy the requirements of the control system. Many researchers use model-based dynamic control methods, such as the dynamic feedforward control method. However, these methods are rarely used in hybrid machine tools because of the complex dynamic model of the parallel manipulator. In order to study the dynamic control method of parallel manipulators, the dynamic feedforward control method is used in the dynamic control system of a 3-PSP (prismatic-spherical-prismatic) 3-DOF spatial parallel manipulator used as a spindle head in a high-speed hybrid machine tool. Using kinematic analysis as basis and the Newton-Euler method, we derive the dynamic model of the parallel manipulator. Furthermore, a model-based dynamic feedforward control system consisting of both kinematic control and dynamic control subsystems is established. The dynamic control subsystem consists of two modules. One is used to eliminate the influence of the dynamic characteristics of high-speed movement, and the other is used to eliminate the dynamic disturbances in the milling process. Finally, the simulation model of the dynamic feedforward control system of the 3-PSP parallel manipulator is constructed in Matlab/Simulink. The simulations of the control system eliminating the influence of the dynamic characteristics and dynamic disturbances are conducted. A comparative study between the simulations and the normal kinematic control method is also presented. The simulations prove that the dynamic feedforward control method effectively eliminates the influence of the dynamic disturbances and dynamic characteristics of the parallel manipulator on high-speed machine tools, and significantly improves the trajectory accuracy. This is the first attempt to introduce the dynamic feedfordward control method into the 3-PSP spatial parallel manipulator whose dynamic model is complex and provides a study basis for the real-time dynamic control of the high-speed hybrid machine tools.展开更多

The controller is capable of controlling the po- sition and attitude of both the satellite base and the payload grasped by the manipulator end effectors. The equations of motion in reduced-order form for the constrained system are derived by incorporating the constraint equations in terms of accelerations into Kane's equations of the unconstrained system. Model analysis shows that the resulting equations perfectly meet the requirement of adaptive controller design. Consequently, by using an indirect approach, an adaptive control scheme is proposed to accomplish position/attitude trajectory tracking control with the uncertain parameters be- ing estimated on-line. The actuator redundancy due to the closed-loop constraints is utilized to minimize a weighted norm of the joint torques. Global asymptotic stability is proven by using Lyapunov's method, and simulation results are also presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.展开更多

The MIMO nonaffine system is first transformed into a time-varying system with strict feedback structure using the mean value theorem, and then the bounded time-varying parameters are estimated by adaptive algorithms with projection. To handle the possible"controller singularity" problem caused by unknown control direction, a Nussbaum function is employed, and the dynamic surface control(DSC) method is applied to solve the problem of"explosion of complexity" in backstepping control. It is proved that the proposed control scheme can guarantee that all signals of the closed-loop system are bounded through Lyapunov stability theorem and decoupled backstepping method. Simulation results are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.展开更多

A smooth function is utilized with the mean-value theorem to deal with the difficulties associated with input saturation. An adaptive DSC design with an auxiliary first-order filter is used to solve the "explosion of complexity"problem. It is proved that all the signals in the closed-loop system are semi-globally uniformly ultimately bounded, and the tracking error eventually converges to a small neighborhood around zero. The main advantage of the proposed method is that only one adaptation parameter needs to be updated, which reduces the computational burden significantly. Simulation results demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed scheme and the comparison results show that the improved DSC method can reduce the computational burden by almost two thirds in comparison with the standard DSC method.展开更多

To overcome the explosion of complexity problem in traditional backstepping design, the dynamic surface control(DSC) method is firstly used to deal with the problem of tracking control for the nonlinear non-minimum phase systems. The proposed outputfeedback DSC controller not only forces the system output to asymptotically track the desired trajectory, but also drives the unstable internal dynamics to follow its corresponding bounded and causal ideal internal dynamics, which is solved via stable system center method. Simulation results illustrate the validity of the proposed output-feedback DSC controller.展开更多

Global asymptotic stability is proven by using Lyapunov's method, and simulation results are also presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

文摘This paper describes an adaptive control approach for an air-breathing hypersonic vehicle. The control objective is to provide robust altitudes and velocity tracking in the presence of model uncertainties and varying disturbances. A fuzzy-neural disturbance observer is developed to estimate uncertainties and disturbances, and the adaptive controller is synthesized by the dynamic surface approach combing with the observer. The tracking error at the steady state can be guaranteed to converge to inside of a small residue set which the size of the set can be an arbitrary small value. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the presented approach.

文摘In this paper, the adaptive robust tracking control scheme is proposed for a class of multi-input and multioutput(MIMO) non-affine systems with uncertain structure and parameters, unknown control direction and unknown external disturbance based on backstepping technique. Simulation results are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.

文摘A novel fault-tolerant adaptive control methodology against the actuator faults is proposed. The actuator effectiveness factors (AEFs) are introduced to denote the healthy of actuator, and the unscented Kalman filter (UKF) is employed for online estimation of both the motion states and the AEFs of mobile robot. A square root version of the UKF is introduced to improve efficiency and numerical stability. Using the information from the UKF, the reconfigurable controller is designed automatically based on an enhancement inverse dynamic control (IDC) methodology. The experiment on a 3-DOF omni-directional mobile robot is performed, and the effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated.

文摘In this paper, we propose an adaptive fuzzy dynamic surface control(DSC) scheme for single-link flexible-joint robotic systems with input saturation. Simulation results demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed scheme and the comparison results show that the improved DSC method can reduce the computational burden by almost two thirds in comparison with the standard DSC method.

文摘In this paper, an output-feedback tracking controller is proposed for a class of nonlinear non-minimum phase systems. To keep the unstable internal dynamics bounded, the method of output redefinition is applied to let the stability of the internal dynamics depend on that of redefined output, thus we only need to consider the new external dynamics rather than internal dynamics in the process of designing control law. Simulation results illustrate the validity of the proposed output-feedback DSC controller.

文摘There is an increasing awareness of the need to reduce traffic accidents and fatality due to vehicle collision.Post-impact hazards can be more serious as the driver may fail to maintain effective control after collisions. To avoid subsequent crash events and to stabilize the vehicle, this paper proposes a post-impact motion planning and stability control method for autonomous vehicles. An enabling motion planning method is proposed for post-impact situations by combining the polynomial curve and artificial potential field while considering obstacle avoidance.A hierarchical controller that consists of an upper and a lower controller is then developed to track the planned motion. In the upper controller,a time-varying linear quadratic regulator is presented to calculate the desired generalized forces. In the lower controller,a nonlinear-optimization-based torque allocation algorithm is proposed to optimally coordinate the actuators to realize the desired generalized forces. The proposed scheme is verified under comprehensive driving scenarios through hardware-in-loop tests.
文摘This paper proposes an adaptive neural network control method for a class of perturbed strict-feedback nonlinear systems with unknown time delays. Radial basis function neural networks are used to approximate unknown intermediate control signals. By constructing appropriate Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals, the unknown time delay terms have been compensated. Dynamic surface control technique is used to overcome the problem of "explosion of complexity" in backstepping design procedure. In addition, the semiglobal uniform ultimate boundedness of all the signals in the closed-loop system is proved. A main advantage of the proposed controller is that both problems of "curse of dimensionality" and "explosion of complexity" are avoided simultaneously. Finally, simulation results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach.

文摘This paper addresses issues related to nonlinear robust output feedback controller design for a nonlinear model of airbreathing hypersonic vehicle. The control objective is to realize robust tracking of velocity and altitude in the presence of immeasurable states, uncertainties and varying flight conditions.A novel reduced order fuzzy observer is proposed to estimate the immeasurable states. Based on the information of observer and the measured states, a new robust output feedback controller combining dynamic surface theory and fuzzy logic system is proposed for airbreathing hypersonic vehicle. The closedloop system is proved to be semi-globally uniformly ultimately bounded(SUUB), and the tracking error can be made small enough by choosing proper gains of the controller, filter and observer. Simulation results from the full nonlinear vehicle model illustrate the effectiveness and good performance of the proposed control scheme.
