To study the influence of construction interfaces on dynamic characteristics of roller compacted concrete dams(RCCDs),mechanical properties of construction interfaces are firstly analyzed. Then, the viscous-spring artificial boundary(VSAB) is adopted to simulate the radiation damping of their infinite foundations, and based on the Marc software, a simplified seismic motion input method is presented by the equivalent nodal loads. Finally, based on the practical engineering of a RCC gravity dam, effects of radiation damping and construction interfaces on the dynamic characteristics of dams are investigated in detail. Analysis results show that dynamic response of the RCC gravity dam significantly reduces about 25% when the radiation damping of infinite foundation is considered. Hot interfaces and the normal cold interfaces have little influence on the dynamic response of the RCC gravity dam.However, nonlinear fracture along the cold interfaces at the dam heel will occur under the designed earthquake if the cold interfaces are combined poorly. Therefore, to avoid the fractures along the construction interfaces under the potential super earthquakes,combination quality of the RCC layers should be significantly ensured. 展开更多

Based on the theo... The jetting and cementing bucket platform (JCBP) is a new type offshore oil-drilling platform. This paper aims to establish an analysis method for calculating the dynamic response of this platform. Based on the theory of elastic half space, the dynamic stiffness and damping of the platform' s foundation were obtained and attached to the end of the platform' s main jackets as a boundary condition. Then using finite element method (FEM), the dynamic response of the platform due to wave and current loading was calculated. Furthermore, the whole platform' s finite element model was established and the dynamic response of the platform was calculated. The numerical results demonstrate that the present method by the usage of elastic half space theory and FEM is simple and it is reliable and efficient to calculate dynamic behavior of the platform in response to wave and current loading. 展开更多

Although aerodynamic compliant foil bearings are successfully applied in a number of turbo-machineries,theoretical researches on the modeling,performance prediction of compliant foil bearings and the dynamic analysis of the related rotor system seem still far behind the experimental investigation because of structural complexity of the foil bearings.A generalized solution of the elasto-aerodynamic lubrication is presented in this paper by introducing both static and dynamic deformations of foils and solving gas-lubricated Reynolds equations with deformation equations simultaneously.The solution can be used for the calculation of dynamic stiffness and damping,as well as the prediction of static performances of foil bearings.Systematical theories and methods are also presented for the purpose of the prediction of dynamic behavior of a rotor system equipped with foil bearings. 展开更多

A virtual synchronous generator(VSG)can provide inertial support through renewables and energy storage.It generally operates in parallel with a diesel generator(DSG)in an islanded microgrid.However,unforeseen interactive power oscillations occur in the paralleled system when loads fluctuate.These may also burn out the VSG owing to its low overcurrent capacity.The mechanism and suppression strategy of the power oscillation of a VSG-DSG paralleled system are investigated.It reveals that the interactive power oscillation is caused essentially by the physical difference and parameter mismatch between the VSG and DSG.Then,the elimination condition of oscillation generation is derived.Subsequently,a comprehensive suppression control strategy based on virtual inductance and dynamic mutual damping technology is proposed.Finally,the experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. 展开更多
