Understandings of the effect of hot deformation parameters close to the practical production line on grain refinement are crucial for enhancing both the strength and toughness of future rail steels.In this work,the au...Understandings of the effect of hot deformation parameters close to the practical production line on grain refinement are crucial for enhancing both the strength and toughness of future rail steels.In this work,the austenite dynamic recrystallization(DRX)behaviors of a eutectoid pearlite rail steel were studied using a thermo-mechanical simulator with hot deformation parameters frequently employed in rail production lines.The single-pass hot deformation results reveal that the prior austenite grain sizes(PAGSs)for samples with different deformation reductions decrease initially with an increase in deformation temperature.However,once the deformation temperature is beyond a certain threshold,the PAGSs start to increase.It can be attributed to the rise in DRX volume fraction and the increase of DRX grain with deformation temperature,respectively.Three-pass hot deformation results show that the accumulated strain generated in the first and second deformation passes can increase the extent of DRX.In the case of complete DRX,PAGS is predominantly determined by the deformation temperature of the final pass.It suggests a strategic approach during industrial production where part of the deformation reduction in low temperature range can be shifted to the medium temperature range to release rolling mill loads.展开更多

The evolution of microstructure during hot deformation is key to achieving good mechanical properties in aluminum alloys.We have developed a cellular automaton(CA) based model to simulate the microstructural evolution...The evolution of microstructure during hot deformation is key to achieving good mechanical properties in aluminum alloys.We have developed a cellular automaton(CA) based model to simulate the microstructural evolution in 7075 aluminum alloy during hot deformation.Isothermal compression tests were conducted to obtain material parameters for 7075 aluminum alloy,leading to the establishment of models for dislocation density,nucleation of recrystallized grains,and grain growth.Integrating these aspects with grain topological deformation,our CA model effectively predicts flow stress,dynamic recrystallization(DRX) volume fraction,and average grain size under diverse deformation conditions.A systematic comparison was made between electron back scattered diffraction(EBSD) maps and CA model simulated under different deformation temperatures(573 to 723 K),strain rates(0.001 to 1 s^(-1)),and strain amounts(30% to 70%).These analyses indicate that large strain,high temperature,and low strain rate facilitate dynamic recrystallization and grain refinement.The results from the CA model show good accuracy and predictive capability,with experimental error within 10%.展开更多
The deformation mechanisms and dynamic recrystallization(DRX)behavior of specifically grown bicrystals with a symmetric 90°<1010>and 90°<1120>tilt grain boundary,respectively,were investigated un...The deformation mechanisms and dynamic recrystallization(DRX)behavior of specifically grown bicrystals with a symmetric 90°<1010>and 90°<1120>tilt grain boundary,respectively,were investigated under deformation in plane strain compression at 200℃and 400℃.The microstructures were analyzed by panoramic optical microscopy and large-area electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD)orientation mapping.The analysis employed a meticulous approach utilizing hundreds of individual,small EBSD maps with a small step size that were stitched together to provide comprehensive access to orientation and misorientation data on a macroscopic scale.Basal slip primarily governed the early stages of deformation at the two temperatures,and the resulting shear induced lattice rotation around the transverse direction(TD)of the sample.The existence of the grain boundary gave rise to dislocation pile-up in its vicinity,leading to much larger TD-lattice rotations within the boundary region compared to the bulk.With increasing temperature,the deformation was generally more uniform towards the bulk due to enhanced dislocation mobility and more uniform stress distribution.Dynamic recrystallization at 200℃was initiated in{1011}-compression twins at strains of 40%and higher.At 400℃,DRX consumed the entire grain boundary region and gradually replaced the deformed microstructure with progressing deformation.The recrystallized grains displayed characteristic orientations,such that their c-axes were perpendicular to the TD and additionally scattered between 0°and 60°from the loading axis.These recrystallized grains displayed mutual rotations of up to 30°around the c-axes of the initial grains,forming a discernible basal fiber texture component,prominently visible in the{1120}pole figure.It is noteworthy that the deformation and DRX behaviors of the two analyzed bicrystals exhibited marginal variations in response to strain and deformation temperature.展开更多

It is shown that dynamic recovery is the dominant softening mechanism at high Zener?Hollomon (Z) values, and dynamic recrystallization tends to appear at low Z values. Hot compression with ln Z=24.01 (723 K, 0.01 s?1) gives rise to the highest fraction of recrystallization of 10.2%. EBSD results show that the recrystallized grains are present near the original grain boundaries and exhibit similar orientation to the deformed grain. Strain-induced boundary migration is likely the mechanism for dynamic recrystallization. The low density of Al3Zr dispersoids near grain boundaries can make contribution to strain-induced boundary migration.展开更多

The strain hardening and dynamic recrystallization of the alloy were modeled by Kocks-Meching model and Avrami equation, respectively. A new constitutive equation during hot deformation was constructed to predict the flow stress considering the dynamic recrystallization. The results show that the flow stress curves predicted by the proposed equation have high correlation coefficients with the experimental data, which confirms that the developed model is accurate and effective to establish the flow stress equation of ZK60 magnesium alloy during hot deformation. Microstructure observation shows that dynamic recovery occurs in the initial stage of hot deformation. However, the microstructure turns to recrvstallization structure as the strain increases.展开更多

The reliability of simulation depended on the accuracy of the hardening parameter, the recovery parameter and the strain rate sensitivity in the LJ model. The hardening parameter was calculated in terms of the LJ model and the Kocks-Mecking model (KM model), and then the recovery parameter and the strain rate sensitivity were obtained by using the equation of steady state flow stress for DRX. The results show that the measured flow stress should be revised by friction and the calculated values of friction coefficient m are in the range of 0.45-0.56. Arrhenius-type constitutive equation was developed by regression analysis. The comparison between the experimental and predicted flow stress shows that the R~ and the average absolute relative error (AARE) are 0.948 and 5.44%, respectively. The measured apparent activation energy Qa is in the range of 540-890 kJ/mol. Both dis-continuous dynamic recrystallization (DDRX) and continuous dynamic recrystallization (CDRX) mechanisms are observed in the deformed alloy, but dynamic recovery (DRV) is the dominant softening mechanism up to a true strain of 1.5.展开更多

The sheet temperature before the finish rolling strongly affects the final grain size, but hardly affects the grain size distribution. A cellular automaton(CA) modeling of discontinuous dynamic recrystallization(DDRX) of a near-α Ti-6Al-2Zr-1Mo-1V(TA15) isothermally compressed in the β single phase field was presented.In the CA model,nucleati...A cellular automaton(CA) modeling of discontinuous dynamic recrystallization(DDRX) of a near-α Ti-6Al-2Zr-1Mo-1V(TA15) isothermally compressed in the β single phase field was presented.In the CA model,nucleation of the β-DDRX and the growth of recrystallized grains(re-grains) were considered and visibly simulated by the CA model.The driving force of re-grain growth was provided by dislocation density accumulating around the grain boundaries.To verify the CA model,the predicted flow stress by the CA model was compared with the experimental data.The comparison showed that the average relative errors were10.2%,10.1%and 6%,respectively,at 1.0,0.1 and 0.01 s^-1 of 1020 ℃,and were 10.2%,11.35%and 7.5%,respectively,at 1.0,0.1and 0.01 s^-1 of 1050 ℃.The CA model was further applied to predicting the average growth rate,average re-grain size and recrystallization kinetics.The simulated results showed that the average growth rate increases with the increasing strain rate or temperature,while the re-grain size increases with the decreasing strain rate;the volume fraction of recrystallization decreases with the increasing strain rate or decreasing temperature.展开更多

Dynamic recrystallization (DRX) mechanisms were investigated by optical microscope (OM), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and transmission electron microscope (TEM) systematically. The crystallographic orientation information is obtained through electron back-scattering diffraction (EBSD). The result shows that the flow stress firstly reaches a peak rapidly followed by declining to a valley, and then increases gradually again when the alloy is compressed to a strain of-1.88. DRX related to {10]2} tensile twins is extensively observed at small strains, resulting in an evident grain refinement. DRX grains first nucleate along the edges of twin boundaries with about 30~ (0001) off the twin parents. While at large strains, conventional continuous DRX (CDRX) is frequently identified by the formation of small DRX grains along the original grain boundaries and the continuously increasing misorientation from the centre of large original grains to the grain boundaries. Evidence of particle-stimulated nucleation (PSN) is also observed in the present alloy.展开更多

The...Dislocation mechanism operating in dynamic recrystallization (DRX) during hot compression of Mg-5.51Zn-0.49Zr alloy was investigated by X-ray diffraction, optical microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The results showed that the continuous DRX occurred at a low strain rate of 1×10^-3s^-1, which was associated with the operation of the single gliding dislocation climbing. At the intermediate strain rate of 1×10^-2s^-1, the continuous DRX was associated with the climbing of the gliding dislocation array as deformed at an elevated temperature of 350 ℃, and in contrast, the discontinuous DRX was observed and associated with the bulging of subgrain boundaries as the deformation temperature was raised to 400 ℃. The continuous DRX was associated with the climbing of the leading dislocation ahead of pile-ups, and resultant rearrangement of misorientated flat dislocation pile-ups as the strain rate was increased to 1×100s^-1. It is suggested that the mechanism predominating the dislocation climbing was changed from the vacancy migration to the stress acting on the leading dislocation ahead of the pile-up as the strain rate was gradually increased.展开更多
The dynamic recrystallization behavior of single-crystal(SC) superalloy SR.R99 at low strain rate was investigated by high-temperature creep testing.The results show that dynamic recrystallization may take place aft...The dynamic recrystallization behavior of single-crystal(SC) superalloy SR.R99 at low strain rate was investigated by high-temperature creep testing.The results show that dynamic recrystallization may take place after the uncoated samples have been creep-tested in air at high temperature and low stress for a long time.Both the threshold temperature and strain for the dynamic recrystallization of SC superalloy SRR99 at low strain rate are lower than those for the static recrystallization.Dynamically recrystallized grains with the depth less than 15 μm are only located in the surface γ'-free layers,and the recrystallized grains are well-developed grains without columnar y'precipitates within them.The dynamic recrystallization behavior of SC superalloy SRR99 at low strain rate is mainly related to high-temperature oxidation.Suitable protective coating can effectively prevent the dynamic recrystallization of SC superalloy components in service.In addition,the dynamic recrystallization behavior of SC superalloy SRR99 at high strain rate was also studied by high-temperature compression testing.At high strain rate,a higher temperature and larger strain are needed for the occurrence of dynamic recrystallization than at low strain rate,and the recrystallized grains have cellular structures with an amount of columnar γ' precipitates within them.展开更多

The results show that deformation mechanism of this alloy in hot deformation is dominated by DRX, and new grains of DRX are evolved by bulging nucleation mechanism as a predominant mechanism. DRX occurs more easily with the decrease of strain rate and the increase of deformation temperature. Grain refinement is achieved due to DRX during the hot deformation at strain rate range of 0.01?0.1 s?1 and temperature range of 950?1050 °C. DRX grain coarsening is observed for the alloy deformed at the higher temperatures of 1100 °C and the lower strain rates of 0.001 s?1. Finally, in order to determine the recrystallized fraction and DRX grain size under different deformation conditions, the prediction models of recrystallization kinetics and recrystallized grain sizes were established.展开更多
In order to have a better understanding of the hot deformation behavior of the as-solution-treated Mg-4 Zn-2 Sn-2 Al(ZAT422) alloy, a series of compression experiments with a height reduction of 60% were performed i...In order to have a better understanding of the hot deformation behavior of the as-solution-treated Mg-4 Zn-2 Sn-2 Al(ZAT422) alloy, a series of compression experiments with a height reduction of 60% were performed in the temperature range of 498-648 K and the strain rate range of 0.01-5 s~(-1) on a Gleeble 3800 thermo-mechanical simulator. Based on the regression analysis by Arrhenius type equation and Avrami type equation of flow behavior, the activation energy of deformation of ZAT422 alloy was determined as 155.652 k J/mol, and the constitutive equations for flow behavior and the dynamic recrystallization(DRX) kinetic model of ZAT422 alloy were established. Microstructure observation shows that when the temperature is as low as 498 K, the DRX is not completed as the true strain reaches 0.9163. However, with the temperature increasing to 648 K, the lower strain rate is more likely to result in some grains' abnormal growth.展开更多

A steady - state flow of the 7005 alloy is confirmed to be a thermal- ly activated process.which is governed by rate-controlling mechanisms of dislocations.A hyperbolic sine relationship can satisfactorily correlate temperature, strain rate with flow stress through an Arrhe- nius term that involves thermal activation parameters. The dynamic recovery mechanisms of the alloy are discussed.Cross- slip of jogged screw dislocations is the main dynamic recovery mechanism over the deformation temperatures and strain rates.Subgrains are highly developed in the originally elongat- ed grains.The size of the subgrain increases with decrease of the natural logarithm of Zener- Hol - lomon parameter.Local dynamic recrystallization is operative when the alloy is deformed at temperature of 500℃ and strain rate of 0. 001s - 1.展开更多

文摘The evolution of microstructure during hot deformation is key to achieving good mechanical properties in aluminum alloys.We have developed a cellular automaton(CA) based model to simulate the microstructural evolution in 7075 aluminum alloy during hot deformation.Isothermal compression tests were conducted to obtain material parameters for 7075 aluminum alloy,leading to the establishment of models for dislocation density,nucleation of recrystallized grains,and grain growth.Integrating these aspects with grain topological deformation,our CA model effectively predicts flow stress,dynamic recrystallization(DRX) volume fraction,and average grain size under diverse deformation conditions.A systematic comparison was made between electron back scattered diffraction(EBSD) maps and CA model simulated under different deformation temperatures(573 to 723 K),strain rates(0.001 to 1 s^(-1)),and strain amounts(30% to 70%).These analyses indicate that large strain,high temperature,and low strain rate facilitate dynamic recrystallization and grain refinement.The results from the CA model show good accuracy and predictive capability,with experimental error within 10%.

文摘The deformation mechanisms and dynamic recrystallization(DRX)behavior of specifically grown bicrystals with a symmetric 90°<1010>and 90°<1120>tilt grain boundary,respectively,were investigated under deformation in plane strain compression at 200℃and 400℃.The microstructures were analyzed by panoramic optical microscopy and large-area electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD)orientation mapping.The analysis employed a meticulous approach utilizing hundreds of individual,small EBSD maps with a small step size that were stitched together to provide comprehensive access to orientation and misorientation data on a macroscopic scale.Basal slip primarily governed the early stages of deformation at the two temperatures,and the resulting shear induced lattice rotation around the transverse direction(TD)of the sample.The existence of the grain boundary gave rise to dislocation pile-up in its vicinity,leading to much larger TD-lattice rotations within the boundary region compared to the bulk.With increasing temperature,the deformation was generally more uniform towards the bulk due to enhanced dislocation mobility and more uniform stress distribution.Dynamic recrystallization at 200℃was initiated in{1011}-compression twins at strains of 40%and higher.At 400℃,DRX consumed the entire grain boundary region and gradually replaced the deformed microstructure with progressing deformation.The recrystallized grains displayed characteristic orientations,such that their c-axes were perpendicular to the TD and additionally scattered between 0°and 60°from the loading axis.These recrystallized grains displayed mutual rotations of up to 30°around the c-axes of the initial grains,forming a discernible basal fiber texture component,prominently visible in the{1120}pole figure.It is noteworthy that the deformation and DRX behaviors of the two analyzed bicrystals exhibited marginal variations in response to strain and deformation temperature.

文摘This study investigated the formation mechanism of new grains due to twin–twin intersections in a coarse-grained Mg–6Al–3Sn–2Zn alloy during different strain rates of an isothermal compression.The results of electron backscattered diffraction investigations showed that the activated twins were primarily{1012}tension twins,and 60°<1010>boundaries formed due to twin–twin intersections under different strain rates.Isolated twin variants with 60°<1010>boundaries transformed into new grains through lattice rotations at a low strain rate(0.01 s^(−1)).At a high strain rate(10 s^(−1)),the regions surrounded by subgrain boundaries through high-density dislocation arrangement and the 60°<1010>boundaries transformed into new grains via dynamic recrystallization.

文摘The dynamic recrystallization behavior of 7085 aluminum alloy during hot compression at various temperatures (573?723 K) and strain rates (0.01-10 s^-1) was studied by electron back scattered diffraction (EBSD), electro-probe microanalyzer (EPMA) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). It is shown that dynamic recovery is the dominant softening mechanism at high Zener?Hollomon (Z) values, and dynamic recrystallization tends to appear at low Z values. Hot compression with ln Z=24.01 (723 K, 0.01 s?1) gives rise to the highest fraction of recrystallization of 10.2%. EBSD results show that the recrystallized grains are present near the original grain boundaries and exhibit similar orientation to the deformed grain. Strain-induced boundary migration is likely the mechanism for dynamic recrystallization. The low density of Al3Zr dispersoids near grain boundaries can make contribution to strain-induced boundary migration.
文摘The flow stress behavior of ZK60 alloy at elevated temperature was investigated. The strain hardening and dynamic recrystallization of the alloy were modeled by Kocks-Meching model and Avrami equation, respectively. A new constitutive equation during hot deformation was constructed to predict the flow stress considering the dynamic recrystallization. The results show that the flow stress curves predicted by the proposed equation have high correlation coefficients with the experimental data, which confirms that the developed model is accurate and effective to establish the flow stress equation of ZK60 magnesium alloy during hot deformation. Microstructure observation shows that dynamic recovery occurs in the initial stage of hot deformation. However, the microstructure turns to recrvstallization structure as the strain increases.

文摘The dynamic recrystallization (DRX) process of AZ31 magnesium alloy including microstructure and dislocation density evolution during hot compression was simulated by adopting the cellular automaton (CA) method coupling the Laasraoui-Jonas model (LJ model). The reliability of simulation depended on the accuracy of the hardening parameter, the recovery parameter and the strain rate sensitivity in the LJ model. The hardening parameter was calculated in terms of the LJ model and the Kocks-Mecking model (KM model), and then the recovery parameter and the strain rate sensitivity were obtained by using the equation of steady state flow stress for DRX. Good agreements between the simulations and the experimental observations were achieved.

文摘To clarify the high temperature flow stress behavior and microstructures evolution of a V-5Cr-5Ti (mass fraction, %) alloy, the isothermal hot compression tests were conducted in the temperature range of 1423-1573 K with strain rates of 0.01, 0.1, and 1 s-1. The results show that the measured flow stress should be revised by friction and the calculated values of friction coefficient m are in the range of 0.45-0.56. Arrhenius-type constitutive equation was developed by regression analysis. The comparison between the experimental and predicted flow stress shows that the R~ and the average absolute relative error (AARE) are 0.948 and 5.44%, respectively. The measured apparent activation energy Qa is in the range of 540-890 kJ/mol. Both dis-continuous dynamic recrystallization (DDRX) and continuous dynamic recrystallization (CDRX) mechanisms are observed in the deformed alloy, but dynamic recovery (DRV) is the dominant softening mechanism up to a true strain of 1.5.

文摘The flow behavior and dynamic recrystallization(DRX) behavior of an as-cast AZ91 D alloy were investigated systematically by applying the isothermal compression tests in temperature range of 220-380 ℃ and strain rate range of 0.001-1 s^-1.The effect of temperature and strain rate on the DRX behavior was discussed.The results indicate that the nucleation and growth of dynamic recrystallized grains easily occur at higher temperatures and lower strain rates.To evaluate the evolution of dynamic recrystallization,the DRX kinetics model was proposed based on the experimental data of true stress-true strain curves.It was revealed that the volume fraction of dynamic recrystallized grains increased with increasing strain in terms of S-curves.A good agreement between the proposed DRX kinetics model and microstructure observation results validates the accuracy of DRX kinetics model for AZ91 D alloy.

文摘Mechanical behavior of nickel?titanium shape memory alloy(NiTi SMA) under hot deformation was investigated according to the true stress—strain curves of NiTi samples under compression at the strain rates of 0.001-1 s-1 and at the temperatures of 600?1000℃.Dynamic recovery and dynamic recrystallization of NiTi SMA were systematically investigated by microstructural evolution.The influence of the strain rates,the deformation temperatures and the deformation degree on the dynamic recovery and dynamic recrystallization of NiTi SMA was obtained as well.NiTi SMA was characterized by the combination of dynamic recovery and dynamic recrystallization at 600℃ and 700℃,but the complete dynamic recrystallization occurred at other deformation temperatures.Increasing the deformation temperatures or decreasing the stain rates leads to larger equiaxed grains.The deformation degree has an important influence on the dynamic recrystallization of NiTi SMA.There exists the critical deformation degree during the dynamic recrystallization of NiTi SMA,beyond which the larger deformation degree contributes to obtaining the finer equiaxed grains.

文摘The microstructure simulation during the multi-pass hot rolling of AM50 alloy was studied by DEFORM-3D. The excellent agreement with the experiment observations shows that the present modeling and user routine are feasible for the reproduce of the hot rolling process. The multi-pass hot rolling contributes to the achievement of a uniformly recrystallized microstructure with fine grains in the rolled sheet. The sheet temperature before the finish rolling strongly affects the final grain size, but hardly affects the grain size distribution. This modeling and the user routine also have a potential to be applied in the researches of the other multi-pass hot deformation process.

文摘A cellular automaton(CA) modeling of discontinuous dynamic recrystallization(DDRX) of a near-α Ti-6Al-2Zr-1Mo-1V(TA15) isothermally compressed in the β single phase field was presented.In the CA model,nucleation of the β-DDRX and the growth of recrystallized grains(re-grains) were considered and visibly simulated by the CA model.The driving force of re-grain growth was provided by dislocation density accumulating around the grain boundaries.To verify the CA model,the predicted flow stress by the CA model was compared with the experimental data.The comparison showed that the average relative errors were10.2%,10.1%and 6%,respectively,at 1.0,0.1 and 0.01 s^-1 of 1020 ℃,and were 10.2%,11.35%and 7.5%,respectively,at 1.0,0.1and 0.01 s^-1 of 1050 ℃.The CA model was further applied to predicting the average growth rate,average re-grain size and recrystallization kinetics.The simulated results showed that the average growth rate increases with the increasing strain rate or temperature,while the re-grain size increases with the decreasing strain rate;the volume fraction of recrystallization decreases with the increasing strain rate or decreasing temperature.
文摘Hot compression tests were conducted on a homogenized Mg-7Gd-4Y-1Nd-0.5Zr alloy at 450 ℃ and a strain rate of 2 s-1. Dynamic recrystallization (DRX) mechanisms were investigated by optical microscope (OM), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and transmission electron microscope (TEM) systematically. The crystallographic orientation information is obtained through electron back-scattering diffraction (EBSD). The result shows that the flow stress firstly reaches a peak rapidly followed by declining to a valley, and then increases gradually again when the alloy is compressed to a strain of-1.88. DRX related to {10]2} tensile twins is extensively observed at small strains, resulting in an evident grain refinement. DRX grains first nucleate along the edges of twin boundaries with about 30~ (0001) off the twin parents. While at large strains, conventional continuous DRX (CDRX) is frequently identified by the formation of small DRX grains along the original grain boundaries and the continuously increasing misorientation from the centre of large original grains to the grain boundaries. Evidence of particle-stimulated nucleation (PSN) is also observed in the present alloy.

文摘The dynamic recrystallization(DRX) behavior of Ti-6Al-2Zr-1Mo-1V alloy was investigated at deformation temperature of 1000-1100 °C and strain rate of 10-3-1.0 s-1 by using compression test.The results show that discontinuous dynamic recrystallization(DDRX) is the predominant recrystallization mechanism at temperature higher than 1050 °C and strain rate lower than 0.01 s-1.Meanwhile,continuous dynamic recrystallization is the main mechanism observed at temperature below 1050 °C and strain rate above 0.01 s-1,mixed with a few DDRX grains.In addition,decreasing strain rate and increasing deformation temperature are found to facilitate the progress of DRX and refinement of grains in the Ti alloy in β forging process.

文摘Dislocation mechanism operating in dynamic recrystallization (DRX) during hot compression of Mg-5.51Zn-0.49Zr alloy was investigated by X-ray diffraction, optical microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The results showed that the continuous DRX occurred at a low strain rate of 1×10^-3s^-1, which was associated with the operation of the single gliding dislocation climbing. At the intermediate strain rate of 1×10^-2s^-1, the continuous DRX was associated with the climbing of the gliding dislocation array as deformed at an elevated temperature of 350 ℃, and in contrast, the discontinuous DRX was observed and associated with the bulging of subgrain boundaries as the deformation temperature was raised to 400 ℃. The continuous DRX was associated with the climbing of the leading dislocation ahead of pile-ups, and resultant rearrangement of misorientated flat dislocation pile-ups as the strain rate was increased to 1×100s^-1. It is suggested that the mechanism predominating the dislocation climbing was changed from the vacancy migration to the stress acting on the leading dislocation ahead of the pile-up as the strain rate was gradually increased.

文摘The dynamic recrystallization behavior of single-crystal(SC) superalloy SR.R99 at low strain rate was investigated by high-temperature creep testing.The results show that dynamic recrystallization may take place after the uncoated samples have been creep-tested in air at high temperature and low stress for a long time.Both the threshold temperature and strain for the dynamic recrystallization of SC superalloy SRR99 at low strain rate are lower than those for the static recrystallization.Dynamically recrystallized grains with the depth less than 15 μm are only located in the surface γ'-free layers,and the recrystallized grains are well-developed grains without columnar y'precipitates within them.The dynamic recrystallization behavior of SC superalloy SRR99 at low strain rate is mainly related to high-temperature oxidation.Suitable protective coating can effectively prevent the dynamic recrystallization of SC superalloy components in service.In addition,the dynamic recrystallization behavior of SC superalloy SRR99 at high strain rate was also studied by high-temperature compression testing.At high strain rate,a higher temperature and larger strain are needed for the occurrence of dynamic recrystallization than at low strain rate,and the recrystallized grains have cellular structures with an amount of columnar γ' precipitates within them.

文摘Dynamic recrystallization (DRX) behavior in β phase region for the burn resistant titanium alloy Ti?25V?15Cr?0.2Si was investigated with a compression test in the temperature range of 950?1100 °C and the strain rate of 0.001?1 s?1. The results show that deformation mechanism of this alloy in hot deformation is dominated by DRX, and new grains of DRX are evolved by bulging nucleation mechanism as a predominant mechanism. DRX occurs more easily with the decrease of strain rate and the increase of deformation temperature. Grain refinement is achieved due to DRX during the hot deformation at strain rate range of 0.01?0.1 s?1 and temperature range of 950?1050 °C. DRX grain coarsening is observed for the alloy deformed at the higher temperatures of 1100 °C and the lower strain rates of 0.001 s?1. Finally, in order to determine the recrystallized fraction and DRX grain size under different deformation conditions, the prediction models of recrystallization kinetics and recrystallized grain sizes were established.

文摘In order to have a better understanding of the hot deformation behavior of the as-solution-treated Mg-4 Zn-2 Sn-2 Al(ZAT422) alloy, a series of compression experiments with a height reduction of 60% were performed in the temperature range of 498-648 K and the strain rate range of 0.01-5 s~(-1) on a Gleeble 3800 thermo-mechanical simulator. Based on the regression analysis by Arrhenius type equation and Avrami type equation of flow behavior, the activation energy of deformation of ZAT422 alloy was determined as 155.652 k J/mol, and the constitutive equations for flow behavior and the dynamic recrystallization(DRX) kinetic model of ZAT422 alloy were established. Microstructure observation shows that when the temperature is as low as 498 K, the DRX is not completed as the true strain reaches 0.9163. However, with the temperature increasing to 648 K, the lower strain rate is more likely to result in some grains' abnormal growth.
文摘Dynamic recovery and dynamic recrystallizatin behaviors of AA7005 aluminium alloy (Al - Zn - Mg) during hot compression are investigated by isothermal compression testing.The interdependence of flow stress,stress, strain rate,true strain and deformation temperature for the alloy is analyzed by introduc- ing Zener-Hollomon parameter. A steady - state flow of the 7005 alloy is confirmed to be a thermal- ly activated process.which is governed by rate-controlling mechanisms of dislocations.A hyperbolic sine relationship can satisfactorily correlate temperature, strain rate with flow stress through an Arrhe- nius term that involves thermal activation parameters. The dynamic recovery mechanisms of the alloy are discussed.Cross- slip of jogged screw dislocations is the main dynamic recovery mechanism over the deformation temperatures and strain rates.Subgrains are highly developed in the originally elongat- ed grains.The size of the subgrain increases with decrease of the natural logarithm of Zener- Hol - lomon parameter.Local dynamic recrystallization is operative when the alloy is deformed at temperature of 500℃ and strain rate of 0. 001s - 1.
