Among the scenarios, EPS showed superior performance in all four ES.(3) Between 2010 and 2030, ecological sources, corridors, and pinchpoints expanded, displaying significant spatial heterogeneity. The EPS scenario yielded the most substantial increases in ecological sources, corridors, and pinchpoints, totaling 582.89 km^(2), 645.03 km^(2),and 64.43 km^(2), respectively. This study highlights the importance of EPS, offering insightful scientific guidance for the YRD's sustainable development.展开更多

Illuminated by the mechanical system of the movement of matters, it comes up that ecological footprint based on consumption of biologic production could not tell whether the ecological pressure acts on the specified region, and the original ecological footprint theory also undervalued the development impartiality of a region. A modification on this theory is made by introducing consumptive ecological footprint and productive ecological footprint, in which the latter is taken as the indicator of regional sustainability. First, various concepts pertaining to regions are discussed and then, the integration of ecological conservation and urban development on a regional scale is introduced. Subsequently, the Greater Pearl River Delta, in China, is used as a case study area and landscape ecology’s “urban region” concept is applied to produce a landscape spatial arrangement framework for an urban region. This framework is achieved through the following steps: conceiving the study area as a region that consists of two urban regions, arranging ecological conservation landscapes by establishing a regional ecological network within the urban-region rings;and formulating an urban development strategy using central place theory. The resulting landscape spatial arrangement solution includes natural protection areas that cover half of the study area, several key strategic urbanizing locations, and suggestions for the strict protection of certain agricultural land-use areas. We believe that this framework facilitates a feasible exploration of land-use planning on a regional scale, although more in-depth studies are required to refine this approach.展开更多

Through the analysis of the capitalist relations of production,Marx systematically completed the viewpoint system about the material circulation of nature and human society, and foresaw the ecological consequences of capitalism to the world scientifically, taking ecology and mode of production as an organic whole. Since the socialism with Chinese characteristics entered into the new era, facing the serious ecological problems in the countryside in the process of modernization, the Party and the state, through the latest interpretation of the basic principles of Marxism, have creatively replaced the unsustainable poverty-alleviation policy with the targeted poverty-alleviation policy, thus making it have an important ecological orientation in the practice of poverty-alleviation in the countryside.展开更多

This model used unit energy value and energy density to convert the consumption into ecological productive areas. It can reflect the utilization degree of resources in the regional development. Then, the quantitative analysis of sustainable development was done by comparing the size of the areas. We defined the concept of energy-based ecological footprint of marine and built energy-based ecological footprint model of marine. Then we applied this model to marine ecological system of Shandong province to evaluate its sustainable development statue. The results showed that the energy-based marine ecological footprint of the marine ecological system in Shandong province was 1.74 × 106 hm^2 in 2010, and the energy-based ecological carrying capacity of this area was 1.60×107 hm^2 per capita. Thus, the marine ecological system of Shandong province has strong sustainability.展开更多

Human uses direct comparison of input and output and the satisfaction degree ofdemands to measure the production activities, the economic benefit and management performance, regardless of the change of ecology that serves as the natural resources. However, since theecological environment has been changing worse recently and natural disaster happened frequentlyhuman's dream of conquering the nature has been broken. The nature implements reprisal against humanagain and again, and human is faced with the development limit because of the environmentalrestriction.

文摘In expounding the historical conditions of " two necessities",Marx profoundly criticized the consequence of capitalist mode of production to society and ecology. Through the analysis of the capitalist relations of production,Marx systematically completed the viewpoint system about the material circulation of nature and human society, and foresaw the ecological consequences of capitalism to the world scientifically, taking ecology and mode of production as an organic whole. Since the socialism with Chinese characteristics entered into the new era, facing the serious ecological problems in the countryside in the process of modernization, the Party and the state, through the latest interpretation of the basic principles of Marxism, have creatively replaced the unsustainable poverty-alleviation policy with the targeted poverty-alleviation policy, thus making it have an important ecological orientation in the practice of poverty-alleviation in the countryside.
文摘An energy-based ecological footprint model was set up to monitor the sustainable development status of a specific marine system. Thus, the marine ecological system of Shandong province has strong sustainability.
