Application of Traditional Chinese Culture in Cross-Cultural English Education:A Case Study of the Maritime Silk Road in Guangdong Province

The phenomenon of aphasia in Chinese culture is serious.The existing English teaching materials emphasize too much Western culture education and lack traditional Chinese cultural elements.Therefore,this paper takes the Guangdong Maritime Silk Road as an example to study the specific application of traditional Chinese culture in cross-cultural English education.This paper first summarizes the significance of cross-cultural integration into college English education and then points out the serious phenomenon of Chinese cultural aphasia.Next,the paper focuses on English education,using English textbooks as a starting point to explore and integrate strategies related to excellent traditional Chinese culture from the Guangdong Maritime Silk Road.By integrating traditional Chinese culture into business English classes(with the Guangdong Maritime Silk Road as an example),the study explores the influence of such cultural integration on students’cross-cultural communication skills,cultural identity,and learning effects.The results showed that the P value of the experimental group and the control group was<0.05,that is,cultural integration had a positive effect on improving the effect of cross-cultural English education.The overall scores and cultural confidence of the experimental group are higher than those of the control group,which proves that cross-cultural teaching has a positive effect on the improvement of students’scores. 展开更多

In order to implement the requirement of Minislry of Education, "further deepen the reform of moral education courses, and play a role in the classroom main channel", with literature analysis, case studies and other methods, we make an objective analysis of the real issues of "sports disciplines teaching moral education ". The results show that physical teachers should effectively improve the penetration ideology and moral education wisdom and teaching skills; they should grasp the connection between moral and discipline and integrate "moral goals" organically into a three-dimensional target subjects, and implemented it in accordance with the corresponding dimension specific content; in the implementation process, we should focus on using a variety of learning styles, making clever use of resources and make the best use; we need to persevere, to strengthen the sports discipline of moral norms infiltration operations, and better protect the effective penetration of Physical Education in Moral Education. 展开更多

Purpose:Failure to clarify the position of children in Chinese culture is a significant issue faced by Chinese traditional culture education(CTCE).Indeed,moral education needs to establish child's perspective and position in Chinese society and incorporate these into the curricula on the excellent Chinese traditional culture.This study explores how the elementary school textbook,Morality and Law,has approached CTCE.Design/Approach/Methods:First,this article analyzes practical dificulties in CTCE:omission child's position.Second,this article explores the child's position needed by CTCE based on Rousseau,Montessori,and Dewey's contemporary views on children.At last,this article explores the strategyof how to implement the child's position in CTCE based on Morality and Law.Findings:In respect to CTCE,Morality and Law positions children in various ways.In terms of its educational goal,the textbook is intended to improve children's cultural education and appreciation.While the textbook's editors mainly select positive content,negative content is also included.Always taking the child into consideration,the textbook incorporates systemized knowledge into children's own lives,particularly insofar as the teaching strategy uses events or experiences in which children are interested. 展开更多
