Exploration and Practice of Life Education Curriculum Based on Embodied Cognition Theory

In recent years,the suicide rate of adolescents has been increasing year by year,and life and health problems have become the most important in education.It is urgent to promote the construction of the curriculum of life education effectively.In view of the“vacuity”and“fragmented”state of traditional life education,this paper combs the teaching objectives,teaching contents,teaching methods,and teaching evaluation of life education from the perspective of embodied cognition theory,to explore the construction of positive experience of life education curriculum.

Survey and Countermeasures on Current Situation of Life Education for College Students in Local Normal Colleges and Universities

Life education is the precondition of all education.This paper explored the current situation of life education for college students in local normal colleges and universities through questionnaire survey,and traced the history of life education in the world and China.Combined with history and reality,it analyzed the current problems of life education for college students mainly in three aspects,namely,the lack of connectivity in the educational process,the excessive productization of education,and the fragmentation of life education.Finally,it came up with pertinent recommendations in line with these problems.

Research on the Ideological and Political Work of Nursing Students in the New Era under the Strategy of Healthy China

Nursing students have uniqueness within the general university student population as they are among the primary practitioners of the “Healthy China Strategy 2030” and guardians of people’s health. Innovating and strengthening ideological and political education for nursing students, enhancing their skills in serving the people, is a significant political task for medical universities. Against the backdrop of the “Healthy China Strategy,” how to effectively improve nursing students’ professional competencies, integrate life education, medical humanities education, and general ideological and political education, and utilize life education to construct a more suitable ideological and political education system for nursing students, in order to better establish correct worldviews, values, and professional outlooks, are urgent practical issues that need to be addressed in ideological and political education in medical universities. This article takes life education as an entry point and focuses on integrating it with the internalization and unification of ideological and political education courses, aiming to explore the possibilities and new pathways for integrating life education into the ideological and political education of nursing students in the new era.

The Study of Art Therapy on College Students’ Life Education

The university stage is an important stage of life to acquire independent personality and establish three views.Life education is the most effective way to help college students establish correct and healthy three views.However,the theory of“life education”and the way of“strict and rigid”are too weak to carry out life education for college students.Art therapy is a therapeutic mode to understand human subconscious mind,heal mind and develop psychology by using art form.Through the combination of art therapy theory and life education theory,students’participation is high,teaching technology is rich,teaching process is relaxed and pleasant,which is an effective scientific method for college students’life education activities.It has special significance to promote college students to realize the ideal of life.

Analysis on Life Education for Adolescents

With the increasing number of suicides among adolescents year by year along with a younger and rising trend,life education has caused widespread concern in the whole society.At present,there are some problems with the life education for young people in China,and the life education system suitable for China's national conditions needs to be further improved.The analysis of the current situation of the life education for adolescents would bring about important enlightenment for the establishment of the life education system.It is necessary to strengthen the education of life values among young people,use experiences and the home-school cooperation to help young people improve their life consciousness,learn to respect life,fear life,cherish life,as well as promote their healthy development.

Application of Experiential Teaching in the Reform of College Students' Mental Health Course from the Perspective of Life Education

In recent years,the phenomenon of college students5 indifference to life occurs frequently which seriously damages the healthy growth of college students.Life education should be integrated into mental health education courses in colleges.Experiential teaching is a type of teaching activity that is characterized by students5 personal experiences and initiative,focusing on the participation of practical activities.Compared with traditional lectures,it improves students'interest and enthusiasm.In the mental health course,experiential teaching applies theoretical knowledge to real life and promote the improvement of students9 mental health to shape stable and mature personalities and eventually,promotes the development of life.College students5 mental health course should be integrated with experiential teaching practice in the perspective of life education,so as to better improve the teaching effect and guide students to form a correct outlook of life.

Sensing the Poetic Habitat - A Study of Middle School Chinese Teaching from the Perspectives of Life Aesthetics

The concept of life aesthetics reflects an individual’s cry for life and pursuit of beauty,inspiring individuals to discover their spiritual home,sense their poetic habitat,and enjoy the beauty of life flowing from their fingertips.Chinese education,viewed through the lens of life aesthetics,is founded on the natural characteristics of life,stimulating the aesthetic sense of individual life through the allure of language,and teaching students to view life through the aesthetic lens as well as from an understanding of life’s essence.Teachers and students are required to take an aesthetic view of life as theoretical guidance,based on core Chinese literacy,with textbook contents serving as carriers and classroom instruction as the position,closely connected to students’actual lives,in order to help stimulate aesthetic experience among students,improve their aesthetic ability through aesthetic activities,and thus establish a correct view of life.

Effect of Health Education Based on Integrative Therapy of Chinese and Western Medicine for Adult Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus： A Randomized Controlled Study

Objective： To investigate the effects of health education based on integrative therapy of Chinese and Western medicine for type 2 diabetes mellitus（T2DM） from the aspects of knowledge, attitude and practice（KAP）, health-related quality of life（HRQo L）, body mass index（BMI） and glucose control. Methods： Patients were individually randomized into intervention group（receiving integrative education, n=120） and control group（receiving usual education, n=120）. The primary outcome was the changes in glycosylated hemoglobin A1c（HbA1c） levels after 3, 6, 9 and 12 months from baseline. Hierarchical linear models（HLMs） were used to assess within-group changes in outcomes over time and between-group differences in patterns of change. Secondary outcomes were KAP scores, HRQo L scores and BMI after 6 and 12 months, paired-sample t test was used to assess within-group changes in outcomes in 6 and 12 months, independent-sample t test was used to assess between-group differences in patterns of change. Results： HbA1c decreased statistically from baseline to 3 months, from 3 to 6 months, from 6 to 9 months and from 9 to 12 months in the intervention group（all P〈0.01）; and decreased significantly from baseline to 3 months, and from 3 to 6 months in the control group（P〈0.01）. There were significant between-group differences from baseline to 3 months（P=0.044）, from 6 to 9 months（P〈0.01） and from 9 to 12 months（P〈0.01）. Significant improvements in the intervention group along with significant between-group differences were found in KAP and HRQo L scores respectively（all P〈0.05）. The number in the intervention group of normal weight increased from 56 at baseline to 81（6 months）, 94（12 months）, the number in the control group were 63（baseline）, 69（6 months）, 70（12 months）, the χ~2 of hierarchical analysis of BMI were 6.93（P=0.075）, 10.31（P=0.016）, 15.53（P〈0.01）, respectively. Conclusion： Health education based on integrative therapy of Chinese and Western medicine is beneficial to the control of T2DM and should be recommended for T2DM.

A Critical Review of Chinese Theoretical Research on Moral Education Since 2000

Purpose:The purpose of this article is to summarize and reflect Chinese theoretical research on moral education in the context of globalization and value pluralism since 2000 and to propose possible directions for the future research.Design/Approach/Methods:The research methods in this article are primarily literature review.Those papers which met the following criteria were selected and included in this review:(1)Papers published from 2000 to 2014 were included if they were cited by at least one other published article and(2)papers published from 2015 to 2017 were included if they were presented in a core research journal.Based on that,speculative thinking and critical thinking are also embodied in this research.Findings:Based on the features of“a man of virtue,”the article identifies the four dimensions that have influenced Chinese thinking about moral education:(1)Kantian and Enlightenment philosophy,(2)emotion and life experience,(3)social rights,and(4)the culture-value dimension.The four dimensions ofmoral education theory are related and complement,rather than contradict,eachother.The author argues that the research scopes underlying current moral education theories are fairly narrow.Amore comprehensive,interdisciplinary approach is needed to improve theoretical research and to enhance the effectiveness of moral education practice in schools and universities.Originality/Value:The article provides a latest overview and critical insights to consolidate the foundation of moral education in an era of societal transformation by comparing moral education research between China and the West and proposing realizing a deep integration between theory and practice.
