Just in Time Education: Educational Technology for Professional’s Health

Objective: Verify if the educational technology based on Just in Time Education is relevant to Permanent Health Education in Workers’ Health. Method: This study is exploratory and descriptive qualitative research. Were performed semi-structured interviews were carried out with the worker’s health team of a large company from the South of Brazil region. The collected data were carried out in 2021, between January and May, through the virtual environment, with eight participants from the Work Health Team of Eletrosul, located in Florianópolis, who agreed to participate in the research by signing the Free and Informed Consent Term, in accordance with the data saturation criterion. The research was approved by the Ethics Committee (n. 4079133) and the data were submitted to Bardin for thematic content analysis. Result: The results are presented from three categories: 1) Expansion and inclusion in Permanent Education needs;2) Tools adopted in educational processes;3) Just in Time Education: educational technology for workers’ health. Conclusion: The active methodology Just in Time Education helps the processes of Permanent Education in Health, which moved from a face-to-face model to e-learning and required the knowledge renewal in the technology area to maintain efficient communication. This methodology allows quick and accurate access to information from a reliable, adequate, and up-to-date source, causing a positive impact on the qualified and problem-solving work process, in line with the needs of the employer and the company. Therefore, Just in Time Education can provide standardization, organization, and informational and operational quality necessary in this context, in addition to serving as an indicator and data generator (management tool).

An Analysis of the Lack of Modern Educational Technology in the Teaching of Secondary Vocational English Subjects and its Teaching Strategies--Take Pingli Vocational Education Center as an Example

The report of the Educational sector in China advocates modern education technology,and now a new round of curriculum reform has thoroughly revised the curriculum standards of middle school students in various subjects,and penetrated modern educational technology into the teaching of various subjects.In recent years,the education department has raised the importance of vocational education,changed the concept of education for teachers and students,vocational education is in the fastest-growing period,the majority of secondary vocational education students has greatly improved,the curriculum is colorful.We should make good use of all kinds of the up-to-dated educational technologies in various subjects.However,in the process of education,the basic level of secondary vocational students is relatively poor phenomenon slowly appeared,which is a common problem in secondary vocational education,so we should strengthen the modern education technology in English subjects of the value of education.English,like our mother tongue,has a wealth of humanistic knowledge and spiritual connotation.Many English teachers in secondary vocational school simply teach basic English knowledge aspects and English grammars.It only lets the most vocational students to learn only the most basic English textbook knowledge,and then English teachers find many bad aspects,such as:students do not understand foreign culture;Therefore,secondary vocational English teachers in the English classroom to penetrate modern education technology,is the most important measure.So,as an English teacher,how to modernize secondary school students in classroom teaching?This article mainly talks about the teaching of secondary English subjects lack modern education technology and its teaching strategies.

Construction and Validation of an Educational Technology for Mammary Health Promotion

Mammary health is issue faced by public health nurses and the science follows new ways into this thematic area of learning course wares. The purpose of this study was to construct and to validate a distance course for mammary health promotion for nurses. Methodological proposal has been composed of five stages: 1) analysis and planning, 2) modeling, 3) implementation, 4) evaluation and maintenance and 5) distribution. A total of nine experts as research population were consulted who were expert judges of nursing, pedagogy and web designer, three of each specific area, which were included in the study. The variables that had concordance index of 50% were: graphic designer pages favors learning, the user has easy navigation, the learning of the student experience, the environment provides interdisciplinary, content is built on process rather than there is a unique sequence, allows access to the available environment and holds a discussion on the subject. The distance learning course is intended to broaden and to enrich the living spaces and construct their own knowledge, favors interactivity, communication, autonomy and cooperation between the participants and provides access to educational technologies.

What Can China Learn From Evidence-Based Educational Reform?A Comparative Review of Educational Technology Programs’Effects on Mathematics Achievement

Purpose:This review contrasts the U.S.and Chinese mainland in terms of educational technology programs’effects on mathematics achievement.The existing evaluation studies are assessed and compared,especially from the perspective of research quality.Moreover,this review finds out what intervention programs work in these two countries and classifies evidence levels of effective programs.Design/Approach/Methods:A systematic review and meta-analysis method is used.Findings:The application of educational technology programs produced a better effect in Chinese mainland than in the U.S.,however,the quantity and quality of evaluation studies is concerning in Chinese mainland.Since 2010,four programs in the U.S.and one program in Chinese mainland have qualified for strong evidence of effectiveness,which are worthy of receiving scale-up grants.Originality/Value:This is the first systematic review to contrast the U.S.and China in terms of educational technology programs'effects on mathematics achievement.Determining what works through high-quality experiments is probably the most important requirement for evidence-based reform in education.This review compares the developments of the U.S.,a leader of the movement,with those of China,an undecided observer.The review may provide enlightenment for the undecided countries and regions.

Systematic Review of Literature for Smartphones Technology Acceptance Using Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology Model (UTAUT)

Systematic Review and Meta-analysis are techniques which attempt to associate the findings from similar studies and deliver quantitative summaries of the research literature [1]. The Systematic review of research literature identifies the common research methods, research design, sample size, parameters used, survey instruments, etc. used by the group of researchers. This study intends to fulfill this purpose in order to identify common research mythologies, dependent variables, sample sizes, moderators and mediators used in the field of analysing technology adoption based studies that utilizes the UTAUT2 model. This research collected over 59 published articles and conducted descriptive analytics. The results have revealed performance expectancy/perceived usefulness, trust and habit as the best predictors of consumer behavioural intentions towards the adoption of mobile application. Behavioural intention was the best predictor of use behaviour among the 57 articles selected. 274 was the mean sample size of research with 25 mean questionnaire items. SPSS and AMOS were the most common softwares used in all 57 studies, and 32 of those studies used UTAUT1 model while 14 researches incorporated the UTAUT2 model. There were also two promising predictors such as perceived risk on behavioural intention and habit on use behaviour.

Five trends of education and technology in a sustainable future

Quality education is one of the pillars in the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development,which aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.This overall goal can be connected to some general trends affecting education in the information age.We argue that education is key to the future quality of human life and the sustainability of the world.Generally,education is being transformed in both formal and informal learning contexts by new digital technologies.Overall,some of these major innovations and how they are changing education can be summarized into the following aspects:1)our educational aims and objectives;2)educational ecologies and contexts of learning;3)the processes of learning;4)the processes of teaching;and 5)educational governance and policy.Meanwhile,we note some of the potential risks and downsides of these technology trends.From the sustainable perspective,our review points to a great potential for educational reform,but it can only be achieved if we are willing to rethink and even abandon some of our traditional ways of doing things in education.

Assessment of Educational Videos on the Prevention and Management of Infant Diarrhea:Documental Study

Objective: To evaluate the suitability of educational videos produced in Brazil that addressed aspects related to prevention and/or management of infant diarrhea according to content;language;graphic illustrations;stimulation for learning/motivation and cultural fit. Method: Documentary study, which evaluated six educational videos from an adapted and validated tool, the Suitability Assessment of Materials. Three nurses evaluated the videos. Data were processed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences, version 17.0, and presented in tables and graphics. Results: It was found that 4 (66.6%) of the educational videos were classified as appropriate, ranging from 60% to 63.3% of full approval, and 2 (33.3%) were assessed as higher, reaching up to 83.3% to 90% approval. Considering the socioeconomic and cultural contexts of the videos to the audience, they assigned notes ranging from 6 to 9 in a rating ranging from 0, the minimum score, to 10, the highest score. Conclusion: The educational videos were considered adequate, with positive results about the content on the prevention and management of infant diarrhea, being appropriate for the target audience. As a result, greater credibility is ratified as the use thereof, since these resources can contribute to health promotion and prevention of diarrhea in children.

Educational Technologies for Child Health Promotion: An Integrative Literature Review

The use of educational technology focused on child health promotion requires theoretical-methodological foundations to support aspects related to the growth and psychomotor development stage, articulating knowledge and healthy habits as early as possible. This article is an integrative review to investigate the educational technologies used in health education actions to promote child health. The databases LILACS, MEDLINE, BDENF, PUBMED, CINAHL, and in the Virtual library Cochrane Library and SciELO were consulted. Thirteen articles were analyzed. The educational technologies have been employed to promote child health promotion actions and have contributed to the achievement of long-lasting results. The actions happen predominantly in the school context and light, light-hard and hard technologies are used. The association between light and hard technology obtained better results.

Standardization of Quality Evaluation of Educational Software and Electronic Learning Tools—Analysis of Opinions of Selected Experts

Our research was focused on the identification of features, which was essential for educational digital products and the determination of their quality. The introductory analytical part of our research is focused on the analysis of existing sources of information related to the problems of research, production, appropriate use and evaluation of educational software environments. Consequently, we have divided the existing software products into three basic groups according to our main distinguishing feature. Second part of our paper is focused on various aspects, which are to be considered when assessing the quality of software solutions. The final part contains the presentation of results of our findings related to the most important features expected and required from digital learning tools by professional experts and specialists in given field.

Application Practice of OMO Teaching Mode of"Two Courses,Three Links and Two Main Subjects"Based on the Wisdom Tree Platform

The shared course and flipped course of Modern Educational Technology were constructed and applied based on the wisdom tree platform.The OMO teaching mode of"two courses,three links and two main subjects"was constructed according to the course teaching practice,and the teaching practice was carried out.The main teaching links and teaching quality assurance system of the mode were expounded and the application effect was analyzed from the three aspects of student evaluation,course performance and course goal achievement value.The problems in the application of the mode were discussed,and some improvement measures were put forward from the aspects of students,teachers and schools.

Virtual reality in residents training

Training in residency programs is highly competitive,it requires the formation of competent physicians that achieve the performance standards that were declared for their technical skills,attitudes and interpersonal abilities.The use of simulation and technology on the medical education has increased considerably.Particularly in ophthalmology the simulators used are:live models from animal or cadavers,mannequins,wet laboratories,simulated patients,part-task moles,laser or surgical models,and more recently,virtual reality(VR).VR places a person in a simulated environment that has a specific sense of self-location,where the participant interacts with the objects within the setting.Teaching with VR refers to the use of the available resources in technology and visualization of structures to improve the educational experience of medical students,residents and physicians in professional continuous development programs.Several authors highlight the benefits of assessing trainees with the tools,they argue that the key contribution of this model is in the formative assessment.Rather than evaluating and putting a score on student’s grades,VR provides a powerful experience for the acquisition of skills.A conclusion is the need to develop studies to document the effects that it has on knowledge,skills and behaviors,and to patient related outcomes.

The Learning of Adolescent Students about the Disabled Person Using Board Game

This study aims at verifying the learning of adolescent students about the disabled person using educational technology in the board game mode and using a semi-experimental non-randomized study of pre and post with unintentional probability sample. Validated and standardized instruments were used. Data were processed by SPSS 20.0 and organized in tables. For comparison of proportions, the McNemar test was used. Females predominated (56%), aged between 13 and 14 years old (63.3%) from private schools (58.7%). It was evidenced a significance for learning about visual and hearing impairment on issues of low complexity (p < 0.0001), visual impairment in the issue of medium complexity (p < 0.0001) and hearing loss in high complexity (p < 0.0001). It should be practiced using the board game to school awareness about the theme, because it provides reflection on the theme, contributes to learning and encourages inclusion.

5G and Smart Education:Educational Reform Based on Intelligent Technology

The 5G communication technology serving a wide range of vertical industries is maturing,which provides a possible boost for the development of smart education and lays a foundation for solving the principal contradiction in current education.With the characteristics of ultra-high speed,low latency,low energy consumption,massive network capacity,and high reliability,the 5G technology is applied with other technologies like artificial intelligence(AI),internet of things(IoT),big data,and blockchain to promote the application upgrading of intelligent education technology.This paper analyzes the intelligent education technology and its eight typical applications in the 5G era,which include smart safe campus,integrated learning spaces,synchronous cyber classrooms,teachers’professional development,robot learning partners,mobile and ubiquitous learning,virtual simulation training,and smart e-textbooks.Then,it discusses how intelligent education technology promotes changes in the modes of learning and teaching in the 5G era from three dimensions:individual learning,collaborative group learning,and classroom-based collective teaching.At last,the framework of smart education in the 5G era is proposed from the perspectives of intelligent education technology and its typical applications,changes in learning and teaching,and the new ecosystem of smart education.

A Curriculum Cluster Teaching Model of Software Engineering from the Metaverse Perspective

To solve the teaching difficulties,including hard cultivating engineering thinking,a reasonable transition of professional training,and deep cooperation of students,which impeded the cultivation effectiveness of students’ability to solve complex engineering problems,the paper proposed a Zongheng group teaching model of curriculum cluster based on projects.Firstly,from the perspective of Metaverse,and considering the professional,current teaching situation and learning situation,we analyzed the professional background and proposed the Zongheng group teaching model of curriculum cluster.Then,the connotation,teaching construction and implementation details are explained.After that,we summarized the teaching effect about the 2 years of exploration and practice in the major of software engineering at College of Computer and Information Technology in Mudanjiang Normal University,to clarify the effect of teaching reform.2 years of teaching practice shows that making full use of the advantages of curriculum cluster,Zongheng group and the project-based teaching method,the long-range training,in-depth student cooperation,and the students’ability of solving complex engineering problems are improved.

Incorporation of Media Arts for Chilean Young Students With Special Learning Needs

The present informal study of Information and Communication Technology(ICT)in special education through media arts.There are deep inequalities in the access of new technological opportunities and adaptive user experiences for students with special learning needs.Our goal as teacher educators is to improve enhance autonomous learning using the complementary subject of media arts.This new educational proposal aims to solve the technology usability problems for students with disabilities.The personalized autonomy of students’use technology in school learning is a key strategy for students with disabilities.For this study as with many schools,the technology resources and educational services to implement digital skills and new ICT teaching-learning strategies for the complementary subject of media arts is not available.Finally,implementing these digital skills is an essential part of the educational-labor system for adolescent students with disabilities.

Research on HPM Teaching Supported by Hawgent Dynamic Mathematics Software: Take "The Recognition of Circle" as an Example

History and Pedagogy of Mathematics(HPM)is one of the important research fields in mathematics education,which has received widespread attention from the mathematics education community because of its educational value.Modem mathematics education technology plays an important auxiliary role in mathematics teaching.Hawgent is a dynamic mathematics software that can present abstract mathematical knowledge visually and static mathematical knowledge dynamically.In view of this,this research takes"the recognition of circle" as an example to conduct a research on HPM teaching supported by Hawgent Dynamic Mathematics Software in three aspects:analyze the contents and uncover the history of mathematics,make the products and show the history of mathematics,design the teaching and integrate the history of Mathematics.

New Theoretical Approach Integrated Education and Technology

Towards Automated Assessment of Learning Management Systems in Higher Education Institutions in Zambia

Zambia like any other country in most African regions is still grappling with the dynamics of harnessing technology for the betterment of Higher Education. The onset of the Covid 19 pandemic brought a test for the preparedness of the Zambian Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in harnessing technology for pedagogical activities. As countries worldwide switched to electronic learning during the pandemic, the same could not be said for Zambian HEIs. Zambian HEIs struggled to conduct pedagogical activities on learning management platforms. This study investigated the factors affecting the implementation and assessment of learning Management systems in Zambia’s HEIs. With its focus on assessing: 1) system features, 2) compliance with regulatory standards, 3) quality of service and 4) technology acceptance as the four key assessment areas of an LMS, this article proposed a model for assessing learning management systems in Zambian HEIs. To test the proposed model, a software tool was also developed.
