Land use scenario simulation of mountainous districts based on Dinamica EGO model

Mountainous area makes up 22% of global land, and rational land use in this area is important for sustainable development. Mentougou district has been positioned as an ecological conservation development zone of Beijing and significant land use changes have taken place since 2004. With the combination of GIS and Dinamica EGO(Environment for Geoprocessing Objects) model, the quantitative structure and spatial distribution of land use in Mentougou from 2006 to 2014 are analyzed in this paper. Considering topography has influence on the action mode of driving factors, the research area is divided into two parts based on elevation, mountainous area above 300 m, plain and shallow mountainous area below 300 m. Based on cellular automata theory, the probability of land use change is calculated by Weights of Evidence method and the spatial distribution of land use is simulated by means of two complementary spatial transition functions: Expander and Patcher. Land use pattern of Menougou in 2030 for three kinds of scenarios: trend development, rapid development and ecological protection are simulated. The comparison shows that the trend development scenario is more reasonable based on social, economic and environmental considerations and other scenarios provide a reference for improving irrational land use.

The Old Man-the Real Winner in the Struggle Between Ego and Superego

Balance of Internal Drive, Ego and Super Ego through Self-Hypnosis

The paper discusses about the influence of Self-Hypnosis on the three important qualities determining the personality trait of an individual namely: Internal Drive (ID), Ego and Super Ego. Self-Hypnosis is a technique that regulates one’s own mind by setting attributes to achieve the basic goals in life having a wider range of variation from one individual to another. There is a constant conflict occurring in an individual’s mind between ID, Ego, and Super Ego throughout his life time till death. The paper work attempts to bring certain facts about the ID, Ego and Super Ego and how to balance between the three through Self-Hypnosis.

Ego strength and health: An empiric study in hemodialysis patients

Introduction: Ego strength represents an important variable that could be predictable about health and compliance in chronic diseases. In this study we propose a new questionnaire, E.F.E. “Ego Functioning Experience”, able to reveal the psychological functioning profile in Hemodialysis patients. The aim of this work, is to underline the existing relations between emotional profile and compliance, whit E.F.E., that may be predictive of a state of psychologycal health in hemodialysis patients. Methods: Study population included 90 hemodialysis patients. The study protocol was made by three psychological tests: the E.F.E. Questionnaire, the DMI, the Self-Liking and Self-Competence Scale. Results: Factor analysis extracts three factors: 1) “Need of Ego support”;2) “Ego activity oriented to treatment”;3) “Ego strength”. The correlation coefficients between the E.F.E. Questionnaire factors (three factors) and other measures, showed a direct correlation with the first factor and “turning against object” TAO of the DMI test (correlation is significant at the 0.001 level) and an inverse relation with set mechanisms of “Principalization”, PRN of the DMI (correlation is significant at the 0.005 level). The correlations of the second and the third factors with other measures, were not statistically significant. No relations were found about other variables. Conclusions: The E.F.E. questionnaire is a simple evaluation to detect hemo-dialysis patients who may need greater attention to the psychological health and therefore the need for treatment such as psychological support. In fact, lower presence of ego strength is indicative of poor compliance to clinical treatment in hemodialysis, but also of worsening of psychiatric symptoms such as demoralization and depressed mood. In conclusion, an increased social support is needed in hemodialysis patient in order to achieve better compliance and achieve a better state of psychological health in chronic hemodialysis patients.

Ego, Convolution, and Exchange： Reflections on Modem Chinese Aesthetics

Contemporary Chinese aesthetics have three important ＂traces＂： ego aesthetics represented by Chinese fantasy literature; convoluted aesthetics represented by the contemporary Chinese movie ＂Loss＂ and the novel Monk; and the fetish aesthetics of symbolic exchange, as represented by Huang Xiaoming＇s wedding and the auctioning of Jack Ma＇s painting. These represent the transmutation of contemporary Chinese aesthetics from adolescent ego aesthetics to adult convoluted aesthetics to the fetish aesthetics of symbolic exchange, thus completing the successive change of logic from ego to society to reality. In tracing these successive changes in logic, we are thinking about questions raised by the times. These concern the future of Chinese contemporary aesthetics and constitute an aesthetic revolution. They mean that contemporary Chinese aesthetic practice has moved from text to community and then evolved into social reality. Further, they also smack of mutual imitation between aesthetics and life. Contemporary Chinese theorists should be actively involved in the revolution, responding to major issues and, as they face social practices, acquiring transcendental characteristics in contemporary aesthetic leadership.

Popular Horse Stories and the Invention of the Contemporary Human-Horse Relationship through an Alter Ego Paradigm

From the end of the 19th to the dawn of the 20th century, technological development rendered the use of horse as source of energy and power progressively obsolete, promoting the displacement of its age-old utilitarian functions （transportation, work and war） as well as its social functions as a marker of distinction. Nonetheless, the advent of leisure society encouraged a redefinition of the horse and its social representations, a process spearheaded by the popular arts, especially those meant for child and youth audiences. The purpose of this article is two-fold. The first is to promote an understanding of the historical role of popular arts （literature, movies） in the evolution of the conceptualization of human-horse relationship and the concomitant entrance of horse riding into leisure society, marked by dual processes turning it into an ever-more female and youth-oriented practice. The second is to examine the actual influence of the popular equine arts and the alter ego horse paradigm that they have created on riders＇ current practices. The latter are examined in relation to diverse criteria such as age, gender, type of riding, length of experience, social status and nationality.

Associations between the Rorschach Ego Impairment Index and Measures on Intrapsychic and Interpersonal Functioning

The Rorschach Ego Impairment Index-2 (EII-2) has shown considerable validity as a measure of personality disturbance. However, few studies have been conducted on the associations between the EII-2 and measures related to ego strength and interpersonal capacities in mood and anxiety disorder patients. This study examined the strength of associations between the EII-2 and its subcomponents with measures of psychological suitability for psychotherapy, personality functioning, and interpersonal problems. A total of 315 outpatients with mood or anxiety disorders were assessed with the Rorschach Comprehensive System (RCS), comprising the EII-2, the Suitability for Psychotherapy Scale (SPS), the Inventory of Interpersonal Problems (IIP-64), and the Quality of Object Relations Scale (QORS), as part of a pre-treatment evaluation. The relatively weak associations found in the study between the EII-2 and the other measures were mostly in the hypothesized direction and often modified by personality pathology. Of the EII-2 subcomponents, the Good Human Representation (GHR) variable was associated with the SPS. The subcomponent Critical Contents were associated with the IIP and the subcomponent WSum6 with the IIP and QORS. Further research is needed to clarify whether the EII-2 has incremental validity in predicting the treatment outcome and alliance in comparison to interview-based and self-report measures.

Post-COVID-19 Challenges for Full-Time Employees in China: Job Insecurity, Workplace Anxiety and Work-Life Conflict

Background:Though the COVID-19 pandemic recedes,and our society gradually returns to normal,Chinese people’s work and lifestyles are still influenced by the“pandemic aftermath”.In the post-pandemic era,employees may feel uncertainty at work due to the changed organizational operations and management and perceive the external environment to be more dynamic.Both these perceptions may increase employees’negative emotions and contribute to conflicts between work and life.Drawing from the ego depletion theory,this study aimed to examine the impact of job insecurity during the post-pandemic era on employees’work-life conflicts,and the mediating effect of workplace anxiety in this relationship.Besides,this study also considered the uncertainty of the external macro environment as a boundary condition on the direct and indirect relationship between job insecurity and work-life conflicts.Methods:A two-wave questionnaire survey was conducted from October to December 2023 to collect data.MBA students and graduates from business school with full-time jobs are invited to report their perception of job insecurity,work anxiety,perceived environment uncertainty,and work-life conflict.This resulted in 253 valid responses.Data analysis was performed using the SPSS,Amos,and PROCESS.Results:The results showed that:(1)Employees’job insecurity would directly intensify the work-life conflict(B=0.275,p<0.001,95%CI[0.182,0.367]).(2)Employees’workplace anxiety mediates the relationship between job insecurity and work-life conflict(B=0.083,p<0.001,95%CI[0.047,0.130]).(3)The mediating effect of workplace anxiety between job insecurity and work-life conflict exists when perceived environmental uncertainty is high(B=0.049,95%CI[0.011,0.114]),while vanishes when perceived environmental uncertainty is low(B=0.024,95%CI[−0.005,0.068]).Conclusion:Job insecurity combined with perceived environmental uncertainty in the postpandemic era fuels employees’workplace anxiety and work-life conflicts.Post-pandemic trauma lingers,necessitating urgent attention and response.

基于Kriging代理模型的改进EGO算法研究

代理模型是复杂工程优化设计问题的关键技术之一.基于Kriging代理模型的EGO算法作为一种贝叶斯全局优化算法引入了EI函数来确定校正点,保证了算法的全局收敛性.首先针对原始EGO算法的不足之处,提出改进EGO算法.然后采用改进EGO算法对4个经典函数和1个工程算例进行测试,最后从算法的收敛速度和精度两方面将不同的算法进行比较.结果表明改进后的EGO算法达到原始EGO算法精度时所需迭代步数更少,与基于响应面的优化算法相比在收敛速度和精度方面更具有优势.说明该方法适应性强,具有很高的工程实用价值.

改进EGO算法在跨声速翼型气动优化设计中的应用

为了解决复杂工程优化问题计算量大的问题,提出了基于Kriging代理模型的改进EGO(Efficient Global Optimization)算法.采用小生境微种群遗传算法求解Kriging模型的相关向量,避免了模式搜索算法求解相关向量时对初始值的敏感性问题.采用小生境微种群遗传算法,结合无惩罚因子的惩罚函数法对EI(Expected Improvement)函数寻优,解决了惩罚因子难以选择的问题,增强了算法的鲁棒性.采用2个数值算例和1个工程算例对算法进行测试的结果表明,改进后的EGO算法收敛精度更高,比较适合在工程中应用.

EGO算法的翼型气动外形优化设计

针对随机优化算法计算量大和最优响应面法容易陷入局部最优的缺点,采用EI最优策略综合平衡响应预测值及预测精度,建立了高效的优化系统.使用该方法进行了翼型气动外形优化设计,结果表明该方法将翼型阻力系数降低22%,具有良好的优化精度,而总计算耗时与粒子群算法相比约降低68%,说明了该方法的可行性和有效性.

基于改进EGO算法的汽车40%偏置碰撞优化设计

为提升优化的精度和效率,对某多用途车(MPV)车型进行整车正面偏置碰撞结构优化设计。以整车碰撞后侵量和变形量等为约束条件,考虑了序列样本对目标响应和约束响应的改进效果,建立了基于Kriging模型的改进的高效全局优化(EGO)算法和相应的序列采样优化流程。结果表明:与不考虑序列采样的传统优化方法、Jones经典EGO序列采样算法和Schonlau约束EGO序列采样算法进行对比,该算法可以在最小的112个样本规模下,得到误差小于8.42%的优化解,碰撞案例在减质量2.89 kg,且所有碰撞约束性能均满足要求的情况下,目标碰撞有效加速度从28.48 g下降为26.77 g。从而,验证了该方法的准确性和效率。

加速DACE的EGO算法

在函数最优点求解问题中,如果函数表达式很复杂(或黑箱问题),很难利用常用的优化算法求解全局最优点。这时需要先用插值或拟合函数去逼近原函数,然后对新的逼近函数求最优点,进而得到原函数的最优点。基于上述思想,Jones等人于1989提出了EGO(Efficient Global Optimization)算法。EGO算法不足之处在于:它浪费了一个采样点判断EGO算法是否满足终止条件,寻求EI最大值点的收敛速率不高,算法终止条件选择不佳,不能保证估计值的最小点(即EI最大值点)是原函数的内点。针对EGO算法的不足之处,提出了改进的加速EGO算法。仿真实验表明,SEGO极大地节省了运算时间,并且能获得任意精度的全局最优点。

The Struggling Egos in a Harsh Society

As social beings, men can not avoid being affected by the dominant ideologies of their time. At the same time, asanimals with intellect, they inevitably have their own passions and thoughts. When thrown into a society, they will constantly findthemselves tortured by their natural self and their social consciousness. In the face of such a conflict, ego, which refers to therational, thoughtful and realistic personality process, plays its part in meditating the conflict. By discussing briefly the three maincharacters’ struggling egos in The Scarlet Letter, we can see clearly that Nathaniel Hawthorne’s work reflects the above fact. heholds that man is not able to escape the influence of the society, on the other hand, he is not the least dismayed at human beings’comparative mental freedom.

基于EGO加点策略的动力电池包多目标优化

为了动力电池包的轻量化和提高其模态频率,提出一种基于EGO加点策略的多目标优化方法。首先通过实验设计和帕累托法则分析了设计变量对优化目标的影响,选出对电池包的质量和1阶模态频率影响较大的变量作为优化对象,以降低求解难度。其次采用MOPSO算法,辅以Kriging代理模型求解优化问题,再利用EGO加点策略和物理模型分别获得的新设计点和样本,进而更新代理模型直至优化收敛。最后,利用测试函数验证了所提方法的可行性,并将其用于随机振动下电池包多目标优化问题的求解。结果表明,该方法高效可行,在获得较高1阶模态频率的同时,电池包的质量减小了4.89 kg。

The Imbalance and Spilt of Personality——A Psychoanalytic Analysis of Macbeth's downfall

Macbeth is one of Shakespeare's great tragedies, and it is also famous for vivid psychological description.
