This study developed the activity data and emission factor in the Forestry and Other Land Use Change (FOLU) subsector in Malawi. The results indicate that “forestland to cropland,” and “wetland to cropland,” were the major land use changes from the year 2000 to the year 2022. The forestland steadily declined at a rate of 13,591 ha (0.5%) per annum. Similarly, grassland declined at the rate of 1651 ha (0.5%) per annum. On the other hand, cropland, wetland, and settlements steadily increased at the rate of 8228 ha (0.14%);5257 ha (0.17%);and 1941 ha (8.1%) per annum, respectively. Furthermore, the results indicate that the “grassland to forestland” changes were higher than the “forestland to grassland” changes, suggesting that forest regrowth was occurring. On the emission factor, the results interestingly indicate that there was a significant increase in carbon sequestration in the FOLU subsector from the year 2011 to 2022. Carbon sequestration increased annually by 13.66 ± 0.17 tCO2 e/ha/yr (4.6%), with an uncertainty of 2.44%. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is potential for a Carbon market in Malawi.展开更多

A combustion tower was designed to simulate the cooking conditions under which the peasants burned their crop residues in rural China, to measure the emission factors. Results showed that wheat straw had the highest emission factor for the total PM (8.75 g/kg) among the four crop residues, whereas, corn stover and wheat straw have the highest emission factor for EC (0.95 g/kg) and OC (3.46 g/kg), respectively. Corn stover also presents as having the highest emission factors of NO, NOx, and CO2, whereas, wheat straw, rice straw, and cotton stalk had the highest emission factors of NO2, SO2, and CO, respectively. The water-soluble ions, K^+ and Clˉ, had the highest emission factors from all the crops. Wheat straw had a relatively higher emission factor of cation species and Fˉ, Clˉ, NO2ˉ than other residues.展开更多

Based on 23 kinds of major carbon emission sources including agricultural materials inputs, paddy ifeld, soil and livestock breeding, this paper ifrstly calculated agricultural carbon emissions from 1995 to 2010, as well as 31 provinces and cities in 2010 in China. We then made a decomposed analysis to the driving factors of carbon emissions with logarithmic mean Divisia index (LMDI) model. The results show:(1) The amount of agricultural carbon emissions is 291.1691 million t in 2010. Compared with 249.5239 million t in 1995, it increased by 16.69%, in which, agricultural materials inputs, paddy ifeld, soil, enteric fermentation, and manure management accounted for 33.59, 22.03, 7.46, 17.53 and 19.39%of total agricultural carbon emissions, respectively. Although the amount exist ups and downs, it shows an overall trend of cyclical rise; (2) There is an obvious difference among regions:the amount of agricultural carbon emissions from top ten zones account for 56.68%, while 9.84%from last 10 zones. The traditional agricultural provinces, especially the major crop production areas are the main source regions. Based on the differences of carbon emission rations, 31 provinces and cities are divided into ifve types, namely agricultural materials dominant type, paddy ifeld dominant type, enteric fermentation dominant type, composite factors dominant type and balanced type. The agricultural carbon emissions intensity in west of China is the highest, followed by the central region, and the east zone is the lowest; (3) Compared with 1995, efifciency, labor and structure factors cut down carbon emissions by 65.78, 27.51 and 3.19%, respectively;while economy factor increase carbon emissions by 113.16%.展开更多

Results indicated the pollutants emission factors and fuel consumption factor with ECE15+EUDC driving cycle usually take the lowest value and with real world driving cycle occur the highest value, and different driving cycles will lead to significantly different vehicle emission factors with the same vehicle. Relative to the ECE15+EUDC driving cycle, the increasing rate of pollutant emission factors of CO, NOx and HC are -0.42—2.99, -0.32 —0.81 and -0.11—11 with FTP75 testing, 0.11—1.29, -0.77—0.64 and 0.47—10.50 with Beijing 1997 testing and 0.25—1.83, 0.09—0.75 and -0.58—1.50 with real world testing. Compared to the carburetor vehicles, the retrofit and MPI+TWC vehicles' pollution emission factors decrease with different degree. The retrofit vehicle(Santana) will reduce 4.44%—58.44% CO, -4.95%—36.79% NOx, -32.32%—33.89% HC, and -9.39%—14.29% fuel consumption, and especially that the MPI+TWC vehicle will decrease CO by 82.48%—91.76%, NOx by 44.87%—92.79%, HC by 90.00%—93.89% and fuel consumption by 5.44%—10.55%. Vehicles can cause pollution at a very high rate when operated in high power modes; however, they may not often operate in these high power modes. In analyzing vehicle emissions, it describes the fraction of time that vehicles operate in various power modes. In Beijing, vehicles spend 90% of their operation in low power modes or decelerating.展开更多

China’s aviation carbon emissions continue to increase, but the analysis of its influencing factors at the provincial level is still incomplete. This paper firstly uses Stochastic Impacts by Regression on Population, Affluence and Technology model(STIRPAT) model to analyze the time series evolution of China’s aviation carbon emissions from 2000 to 2019. Secondly, it uses the Logarithmic Mean Divisia Index(LDMI) model to analyze the influencing characteristics and degree of four factors on China’s aviation carbon emissions, which are air transportation revenue, aviation route structure, air transportation intensity and aviation energy intensity. Thirdly, it determines the various factors’ influencing direction and evolution trend of 31 provinces’ aviation carbon emissions in China(not including Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan of China due to incomplete data). Finally, it derives the decoupling effort model and analyzes the decoupling relationship and decoupling effort degree between air carbon emissions and air transportation revenue in different provinces. The study found that from 2000 to2019, China’s total aviation carbon emissions continued to grow, while the growth rate of aviation carbon emissions showed a fluctuating downward trend. Air transportation revenue and aviation route structure promote the growth of total aviation carbon emissions, and air transportation intensity and aviation energy intensity have a restraining effect on the growth of total aviation carbon emissions. The scope of negative driving effect of air transportation revenue and air transportation intensity on total aviation carbon emissions in various provinces has increased. While the scope of positive driving influence of aviation route structure on total aviation carbon emissions of various provinces has increased, aviation energy intensity mainly has negative driving influence on total aviation carbon emissions of each province. Overall, the emission reduction trend in the areas to the west and north of the Qinling-Huaihe River Line is obvious. The decoupling mode between air carbon emissions and air transportation revenue in 31 provinces is mainly expansion negative decoupling. The air transportation intensity effect shows strong decoupling efforts in most provinces, the decoupling effort of aviation route structure effect and aviation energy intensity effect is not prominent.展开更多

It is important to quantify SO2 emissions from combustion sources for regulatory and control purposes in relation to air quality. The characteristics of SO2 emissions from copper smelting industry in Yurman Province, China, were examined. Analysis based on the present situation, material balance and measuring method were used to confirm SO2 emission factors of copper smelting industry. Results show that SO2 emission factors for Isa system, side blown-continuous converting system (SB-CC), blast furnace-continuous converting systems (B-CC) and blast furnace-converter blowing (B-C) are 11.69-18.64, 62.44--101.4, 19.43-37.88 and 45.48-81.03 kg/t(blister copper), respectively. The comprehensive emission factor based on all smelting plants is found to be in the range of 23-39.99 kg-SO2/t(blister copper) for Yunnan Province, China. The results are compared with those for discharge coefficients of industrial pollutants in the First National General Survey of Pollution Sources and the emission factor of the total amount of major pollutants. It is observed that there are some differences among emission factors.展开更多

Examining the case of Xi'an, this paper aims to explore the spatial distribution of commuting CO2 emissions and influencing factors in the new, urban industry zones and city centers considering Xi'an's transition from a monocentric to a polycentric city in the process of urbanization. Based on household survey data from 1501 respondents, there are obvious differences in commuting CO2 emissions between new industry zones and city centers: City centers feature lower household emissions of 2.86 kg CO2 per week, whereas new industry zones generally have higher household emissions of 3.20 kg CO2 per week. Contrary to previous research results, not all new industry zones have high levels of CO2 emissions; with the rapid development of various types of industries, even a minimum level of household emissions of 2.53 kg CO2 per week is possible. The uneven distribution of commuting CO2 emissions is not uniformly affected by spatial parameters such as job-housing balance, residential density, employment density, and land use diversity. Optimum combination of the spatial parameters and travel pattern along with corresponding transport infrastructure construction may be an appropriate path to reduction and control of emissions from commuting.展开更多

文摘Nitrous oxide(N_(2)O)is a long-lived greenhouse gas that mainly originates from agricultural soils.More and more studies have explored the sources, influencing factors and effective mitigation measures of N_(2)O in recent decades. However, the hierarchy of factors influencing N_(2)O emissions from agricultural soils at the global scale remains unclear. In this study,we carry out correlation and structural equation modeling analysis on a global N_(2)O emission dataset to explore the hierarchy of influencing factors affecting N_(2)O emissions from the nitrogen(N)and non-N fertilized upland farming systems,in terms of climatic factors, soil properties, and agricultural practices. Our results show that the average N_(2)O emission intensity in the N fertilized soils(17.83 g N ha^(-1)d^(-1))was significantly greater than that in the non-N fertilized soils(5.34 g N ha^(−1) d^(−1))(p<0.001).Climate factors and agricultural practices are the most important influencing factors on N_(2)O emission in non-N and N fertilized upland soils, respectively. For different climatic zones, without fertilizer, the primary influence factors on soil N_(2)O emissions are soil physical properties in subtropical monsoon zone, whereas climatic factors are key in the temperate zones. With fertilizer, the primary influence factors for subtropical monsoon and temperate continental zones are soil physical properties, while agricultural measures are the main factors in the temperate monsoon zone.Deploying enhanced agricultural practices, such as reduced N fertilizer rate combined with the addition of nitrification and urease inhibitors can potentially mitigate N_(2)O emissions by more than 60%in upland farming systems.
文摘Activity data and emission factors are critical for estimating greenhouse gas emissions and devising effective climate change mitigation strategies. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is potential for a Carbon market in Malawi.

文摘Grasping the spatial correlation structure of transportation carbon emission efficiency(TCEE)and its influencing factors is significant for promoting high-quality and coordinated development of the transportation industry and the relevant region.Based on the ideal point cross-efficiency(IPCE)model,the social network analysis method was employed herein to explore the spatial correlation network structure of China’s provincial TCEE and its influencing factors. The results obtained showed the following outcomes.(1)During the study period,China’s provincial TCEE formed a complex and multithreaded network association relationship, but its network association structure was still relatively loose and presented the hierarchical gradient characteristics of dense in the east and sparse in the west.(2)The correlation of China’s TCEE formed a block segmentation based on the regional boundaries, and its factional structure was relatively obvious. The eastern region was closely connected with the central region, and generally connected with the western and northeastern regions. The central region was mainly connected with the eastern and western regions, and relatively less connected with the northeastern region.Besides, the northeastern region was weakly connected with the western region.(3)Shanghai,Beijing,Zhejiang,Guangdong,Jiangsu,Tianjin,and other developed provinces were in the core leading position in the TCEE network, which significantly impacted the spatial correlation of TCEE.However,Heilongjiang,Jilin,Xinjiang,Qinghai, and other remote provinces in the northeast and northwest were at the absolute edge of the network, which weakly impacted the spatial correlation of TCEE.(4)Provincial distance, economic development-level difference, transportation intensity difference, and transportation structure difference had significant negative impacts on the spatial correlation network of China’s provincial TCEE.In contrast, the energy-saving technology level difference had a significant positive impact on it.The regression coefficients of transportation energy structure and environmental regulation differences were positive but insignificant;their response mechanism and effects need to be improved and enhanced.
文摘Based on the data of 30 Chinese provinces for the period from 2004 to 2015,this paper expounds the carbon emissions effect of two-way foreign direct investment (FDI) from the perspective of scale effect and factor market distortions. This study uses Kaya identity to decompose carbon emission and construct simultaneous equations model to empirically examine the factor market distortion and the carbon emission scale effect of two-way FDI.The results show that the inward foreign direct investment (IFDI) increase regional carbon emission through scale effect and also exacerbates factor market distortion in China, whereas the outward FDI trends reduce carbon emission and reduces factor market distortions in China. The study also shows that human capital, research and development (R&D),trade openness, and capital accumulation are important determinants of two-way FDI.Therefore, the study proposes that IFDI policies should focus on acquiring green technologies. In addition, the domestic enterprises should be encouraged to participate in global business.

文摘Dynamic nitrification and denitrification processes are affected by changes in soil redox conditions, and they play a vital role in regulating soil N_(2)O emissions in rice-based cultivation. It is imperative to understand the influences of different upland crop planting systems on soil N_(2)O emissions. In this study,we focused on two representative rotation systems in Central China:rapeseed–rice(RR)and wheat–rice(WR).We examined the biotic and abiotic processes underlying the impacts of these upland plantings on soil N_(2)O emissions. The results revealed that during the rapeseed-cultivated seasons in the RR rotation system, the average N_(2)O emissions were 1.24±0.20 and 0.81±0.11 kg N ha^(–1)for the first and second seasons, respectively. These values were comparable to the N_(2)O emissions observed during the first and second wheat-cultivated seasons in the WR rotation system(0.98±0.25 and 0.70±0.04 kg N ha^(–1),respectively).This suggests that upland cultivation has minimal impacts on soil N_(2)O emissions in the two rotation systems.Strong positive correlations were found between N_(2)O fluxes and soil ammonium(NH_(4)^(+)),nitrate(NO_(3)^(–)),microbial biomass nitrogen(MBN),and the ratio of soil dissolved organic carbon(DOC)to NO_(3)^(–)in both RR and WR rotation systems. Moreover, the presence of the AOA-amoA and nirK genes were positively associated with soil N_(2)O fluxes in the RR and WR systems, respectively. This implies that these genes may have different potential roles in facilitating microbial N_(2)O production in various upland plantation models.By using a structural equation model,we found that soil moisture, mineral N,MBN,and the AOA-amoA gene accounted for over 50%of the effects on N_(2)O emissions in the RR rotation system. In the WR rotation system, soil moisture, mineral N,MBN,and the AOA-amoA and nirK genes had a combined impact of over 70%on N_(2)O emissions. These findings demonstrate the interactive effects of functional genes and soil factors, including soil physical characteristics, available carbon and nitrogen, and their ratio,on soil N_(2)O emissions during upland cultivation seasons under rice-upland rotations.
文摘Emission factors of particulate matter (PM), element carbon (EC), organic carbon (OC), SO2, NOx, CO, CO2, and ten ions (Na^+, NH4^+, K^+, Mg^2+, Ca^2+, Fˉ, Clˉ, NO2ˉ, NO3ˉ, SO42ˉ) were estimated from the domestic burning of four types of commonly produced crop residues in rural China: rice straw, wheat straw, corn stover, and cotton stalk, which were collected from the representative regions across China. Wheat straw had a relatively higher emission factor of cation species and Fˉ, Clˉ, NO2ˉ than other residues.

文摘Macroscopic grasp of agricultural carbon emissions status, spatial-temporal characteristics as well as driving factors are the basic premise in further research on China’s agricultural carbon emissions. The agricultural carbon emissions intensity in west of China is the highest, followed by the central region, and the east zone is the lowest; (3) Compared with 1995, efifciency, labor and structure factors cut down carbon emissions by 65.78, 27.51 and 3.19%, respectively;while economy factor increase carbon emissions by 113.16%.

文摘The impacts of emissions from industry, power plant, transportation, residential, and biogenic sources on daily maximum surface ozone (O3DM) over the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei (BTH) region in North China in the summer of 2007 were examined in a modeling study. The modeling system consisted of the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model and the photochemical dispersion model,CAMx.The factor separation technique (FST) was used to quantify the effect of individual emission source types and the synergistic interactions among two or more types.Additionally, the effectiveness of emission reduction scenarios was explored. The industry, power plant, and transportation emission source types were found to be the most important in terms of their individual effects on O3DM.The key contributor to high surface O3 was power plant emissions, with a peak individual effect of 40 ppbv in the southwestern BTH area. The individual effect from the biogenic emission category was quite low.The synergistic effects from the combinations of each pair of anthropogenic emission types suppressed O3 formation, while the synergistic effects for combinations of three were favorable for O3 formation when the industrial and power plant emission source types coexisted. The quadruple synergistic effects were positive only with the combination of power plant, transportation, residential, and biogenic sources, while the quintuple synergistic effect showed only minor impacts on O3DM concentrations.A 30% reduction in industrial and transportation sources produced the most effective impacts on O3 concentrations, with a maximum decrease of 20 ppbv. These results suggested that the synergistic impacts among emission source types should be considered when formulating emission control strategies for O3 reduction.
文摘The dynamometer tests with different driving cycles and the real-world tests are presented. In Beijing, vehicles spend 90% of their operation in low power modes or decelerating.

文摘The aviation industry has become one of the top ten greenhouse gas emission industries in the world. The air transportation intensity effect shows strong decoupling efforts in most provinces, the decoupling effort of aviation route structure effect and aviation energy intensity effect is not prominent.

文摘The application of nitrogen(N) fertilizer to increase crop yields has a significant influence on soil methane(CH_4) and nitrous oxide(N_2O) emission/uptake.A meta-analysis was carried out on the effect of N application on(i) CH_4 emissions in rice paddies,(ii) CH_4 uptake in upland fields and(iii) N_2O emissions. The responses of CH_4 emissions to N application in rice paddies were highly variable and overall no effects were found.CH_4 emissions were stimulated at low N application rates(〈100 kg N ha^(-1)) but inhibited at high N rates(〉200 kg N ha^(-1)) as compared to no N fertilizer(control). The response of CH_4 uptake to N application in upland fields was 15%lower than control, with a mean CH_4 uptake factor of-0.001 kg CH_4-C kg^(-1) N.The mean N_2O emission factors were 1.00 and 0.94%for maize(Zea mays) and wheat(Triticum aestivum),respectively, but significantly lower for the rice(Oryza sativa)(0.51%).Compared with controls,N addition overall increased global warming potential of CH_4 and N_2O emissions by 78%.Our result revealed that response of CH_4 emission to N input might depend on the CH_4concentration in rice paddy. The critical factors that affected CH_4 uptake and N_2O emission were N fertilizer application rate and the controls of CH_4 uptake and N_2O emission. The influences of application times, cropping systems and measurement frequency should all be considered when assessing CH_4 and N_2O emissions/uptake induced by N fertilizer.

文摘Copper smelting is a significant source of SO2 emission. It is observed that there are some differences among emission factors.

文摘This study investigates the effects of sampling conditions on volatile organic compound(VOC)compositions including different flow restrictors,SUMMA volumes, sampling heights, and wind speeds. Results show that at the six sampling heights the concentrations of main VOC species were slightly different, while the wind speed had a greater impact on the VOC composition of source profiles. With the increase of wind speed, the weighted percentage of high-carbon aromatic hydrocarbons was higher.Besides, there was an extremely different profile between the normal production and shutdown conditions of the delayed coking unit.To compare the emission characteristics of VOCs in various process units of the S and the C refineries, the samples were collected from the catalytic cracking unit, the continuous catalytic reforming unit, and the delayed coking unit.In the continuous catalytic reforming unit,C3-C5 alkanes and low-carbon aromatic hydrocarbons were the main components collected from the S and the C refineries, accounting for 67.1%and 34.9%,respectively.For the delayed coking unit, the total weighted percentage of high carbon C6-C12 alkanes was significantly higher than other units in the S and the C refineries, accounting for 30.5%and 24.4%,respectively.In the catalytic cracking unit, the low-carbon C2-C5 alkanes were abundant, and the weighted percentage of propylene was higher. The emission characteristics obtained were consistent with the processing technology of production units. The results indicate that the VOC emission characteristics from the same production unit in different refineries have similarities and significant differences which are related to the technological process. The emission characteristics of VOCs could provide the data support for source apportionment work in the production units.

文摘As the transport sector is a major source of greenhouse gas emissions, the effect of urbanization on transport CO2 emissions in developing cities has become a key issue under global climate change. Optimum combination of the spatial parameters and travel pattern along with corresponding transport infrastructure construction may be an appropriate path to reduction and control of emissions from commuting.
文摘BACKGROUND Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor(G-CSF)is a cytokine produced in inflammatory environments that induces differentiation and proliferation of neutrophils in bone marrow. We report a rare case of aggressive G-CSFproducing squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue exhibiting fluorine-18 deoxyglucose(FDG)accumulation in primary lesion, metastatic lymph nodes, spleen, and bone marrow on positron emission tomography–computed tomography(PET/CT).CASE SUMMARY We report a 58-year-old female with a rapid enlarged lingual mass with partial necrosis.Blood test results from the initial examination revealed a leukocyte count of 21380/μL.On PET/CT,extensive FDG accumulation was observed in the tongue and bilateral cervical lymph nodes, with elevated FDG accumulation in the spleen and bone marrow although no distant metastases were observed. We performed partial glossectomy and bilateral neck dissection.Immunohistochemical staining with G-CSF antibodies on biopsy specimen and resected samples revealed that both specimens were G-CSF positive. This is a rare case of G-CSF producing tongue carcinoma with elevated FDG accumulation in the spleen and bone marrow.CONCLUSION In patients with the tongue cancer and hyperleukocytosis, where FDG accumulations in the spleen and bone marrow are observed using PET/CT and when these accumulations are not caused by metastasis,G-CSF-producing tumors, with associated poor prognosis, should be considered.

文摘Synergistic carbon emission reduction at the urban scale is an inherent requirement for China to realize its carbon emission reduction commitments and promote sustainable and regional synergistic development.Using 16 prefectural cities in Shandong Province as an example, this study defines and quantifies the regional carbon emission reduction capacity(CERC)based on the synergistic development of carbon emission reduction, environmental protection, and economic growth objectives. The spatial network characteristics of the(CERC)and its drivers were analyzed using social network analysis and quadratic assignment procedure regression methods. The results revealed that the spatial correlation of the CERC among prefectural cities has been increasing over the years.Jinan−Zibo−Qingdao is the center of the network, while the spatial linkage strength in the southwest and northeast of Shandong Province is weak.Geospatial distance and scientific development differences have a significant negative effect on the intensity of spatial association, while differences in economic and informatization developments have a considerable positive impact.Environmental regulatory differences and transportation differences are not significant. This study offers a methodological reference for similar studies in other countries or regions. At the same time, the findings provide a scientific basis for the government to rationally allocate urban resources and promote regional synergistic carbon emission reduction.

文摘As one of the largest global emitters of sulfur dioxide(SO_(2)),China faces increasing pressure to achieve sustainable economic and social development.Using panel data of 58 prefecture-level cities in North China between 2003 and 2017,this paper considers the dynamic spatio-temporal characteristics of industrial SO_(2) emissions in the"2+26"in North China and extended cities in North China and decomposes the determinants of industrial SO_(2) emissions into eight effects using the Generalized Divisia Index Model(GDIM).The contributions of each effect on changes in emissions are assessed on regional, provincial, and prefectural levels,as well as according to various stages. The results indicate the following.First, industrial SO2 emissions in the"2+26"cities in North China and extended cities in North China exhibit spatial autocorrelation and agglomeration effects.Cities with high-high(HH)and low-low(LL)agglomeration patterns were concentrated in Shanxi and Henan provinces, respectively.Second, industrialization, energy consumption, and economic development were the main factors that increased industrial SO2 emissions, while technology, energy sulfur intensity, and economic sulfur intensity were the key factors that reduced them.Third,13 cities, induding Tangshan, were the most important regions where further emissions regulations need to be implemented. These cities were divided into three types and different corresponding measures for reducing their emissions are suggested.Based on the conclusions of this study, this paper puts forward some targeted policy recommendations for reducing industrial SO_(2) emissions according to different categories of cities.

文摘In this article,we evaluated the energy performance parameters and gas emissions to identify which of the stoves studied performs best, and the biomass char briquettes with less emission.Biomass char briquettes from peanut shells, cashew nut shells, and corn cobs were produced using wheat flour as a binder. The binder rate was set at 9%and 10%.Based on the energy performance parameters,it was highlighted that the char briquette from corn cob with 9%binder(Char_CC_9%)has the best energy performance, followed by the char briquette from peanut shells with 9%binder(Char_PNS_9%),and lastly, the char briquette from cashew nut shells with 10%binder(Char_CNS_10%).The average energy efficiency of the“jambar”stove was 15.68%,while that of the“Malgache”stove was 12.41%.The average specific fuel consumption of the“jambar”stove was 0.12 kg of fuel per kilogram of water while that of the“Malgache”stove was 0.15 kg of fuel per kilogram of water. In terms of gaseous emissions,CO(carbon monoxide)concentrations were very high for char briquettes from corn cobs, with a CO emission factor of 0.40 g/min and NOx emission factor of 9.79 mg/min.For char briquettes from cashew nut shells,CO and NOx emission factors were respectively 0.30 g/min and 5.32 mg/min.The lowest average concentrations were obtained with char briquettes from peanut shells with a CO emission factor of 0.25 g/min and NO_(x) 3.98 mg/min.
