This paper introduces a hybrid approach combining Green’s function Monte Carlo(GFMC)method with projected entangled pair state(PEPS)ansatz.This hybrid method regards PEPS as a trial state and a guiding wave function in GFMC.By leveraging PEPS’s proficiency in capturing quantum state entanglement and GFMC’s efficient parallel architecture,the hybrid method is well-suited for the accurate and efficient treatment of frustrated quantum spin systems.As a benchmark,we applied this approach to study the frustrated J_(1)–J_(2) Heisenberg model on a square lattice with periodic boundary conditions(PBCs).Compared with other numerical methods,our approach integrating PEPS and GFMC shows competitive accuracy in the performance of ground-state energy.This paper provides systematic and comprehensive discussion of the approach of our previous work[Phys.Rev.B 109235133(2024)]. 展开更多

We present a qubit-loss-free(QLF)fusion scheme for generating large-scale atom W states in cavity quantum electrodynamics(QED)system.Compared to the most current fusion schemes which are conditioned on the case where one particle can be extracted from each initial W state to the fusion process,our scheme will access one or two particles from each W state.Based on the atom–cavity-field detuned interaction,three jWin+m+t states can be generated from the jWin,jWim,and jWit states with the help of two auxiliary atoms,and three jWin+m+t+q states can be generated from jWin,jWim,jWit,and a jWiq state with the help of three auxiliary atoms.Comparing the numerical simulations of the resource cost of fusing three small-size W states based on the previous schemes,our fusion scheme seems to be more efficient.This QLF fusion scheme can be generalized to the case of fusing k different or identical particle W states.Furthermore,with no qubit loss,it greatly reduces the number of fusion steps and prepares W states with larger particle numbers. 展开更多

Neural networks are becoming ubiquitous in various areas of physics as a successful machine learning(ML)technique for addressing different tasks.Based on ML technique,we propose and experimentally demonstrate an efficient method for state reconstruction of the widely used Sagnac polarization-entangled photon source.By properly modeling the target states,a multi-output fully connected neural network is well trained using only six of the sixteen measurement bases in standard tomography technique,and hence our method reduces the resource consumption without loss of accuracy.We demonstrate the ability of the neural network to predict state parameters with a high precision by using both simulated and experimental data.Explicitly,the mean absolute error for all the parameters is below 0.05 for the simulated data and a mean fidelity of 0.99 is achieved for experimentally generated states.Our method could be generalized to estimate other kinds of states,as well as other quantum information tasks. 展开更多

For checking eavesdropping, the two parties perform the single-photon measurements on some decoy particles before each round. Due to the unavoidable interaction between the quantum channel and its ambient environment,it is difficult to generate and maintain the maximally entanglement.Thus,the research on multiparty information transmission via non-maximally entangled channels is of academic value and general application.Here,we utilize the non-maximally entangled channels to implement two multiparty remote state preparation schemes for transmitting different quantum information from one sender to two receivers synchronously.The first scheme is adopted to transmit two different four-qubit cluster-type entangled states to two receivers with a certain probability.In order to improve success probabilities of such multicast remote state preparation using non-maximally entangled channels,we put forward the second scheme,which deals with the situation that is a synchronous transfer of an arbitrary single-qubit state and an arbitrary two-qubit state from one sender to two receivers.In particular,its success probability can reach 100%in principle,and independent of the entanglement degree of the shared non-maximally entangled channel.Notably,in the second scheme,the auxiliary particle is not required. 展开更多

We investigate the preparation and the control of entangled states in a system with the two-mode coherent fields interacting with a moving two-level atom via the two-photon transition. We discuss entanglement properties between the two-mode coherent fields and a moving two-level atom by using the quantum reduced entropy, and those between the two-mode coherent fields by using the quantum relative entropy. In addition, we examine the influences of the atomic motion and field-mode structure parameter p on the quantum entanglement of the system. Our results show that the period and the duration of the prepared maximal atom-field entangled states and the frequency of maximal two-mode field entangled states can be controlled, and that a sustained entangled state of the two-mode field, which is independent of atomic motion and the evolution time, can be obtained, by choosing appropriately the parameters of atomic motion, field-mode structure, initial state and interaction time of the system. 展开更多

Hardy's theorem on nonlocality has been verified by a series of experiments with two-qubit entangled pure states.However,in this paper we demonstrate the experimental test of the theorem by using the two-photon entangled mixed states.We first investigate the generic logic in Hardy's proof of nonlocality,which can be applied for arbitrary two-qubit mixed polarization entangled states and can be reduced naturally to the well-known logic tested successfully by the previous pure state experiments.Then,the optimized violations of locality for various experimental parameters are delivered by the numerical method.Finally,the logic argued above for testing Hardy's theorem on nonlocality is demonstrated experimentally by using the mixed entangled-photon pairs generated via pumping two type-I BBO crystals.Our experimental results shows that Hardy's proof of nonlocality can also be verified with two-qubit polarization entangled mixed states,with a violation of about 3.4 standard deviations. 展开更多
