To test this relationship and attempt to answer the research question ...The purpose of this research was to assess the impact of entrepreneurship education on university students' intentions towards entrepreneurship. To test this relationship and attempt to answer the research question "to what extent does University-level entrepreneurship education influence students' entrepreneurial intentions?" a conceptual model supported by the theory of Planned Behaviour was adopted. Data were gathered from 343 final year students at the University of Botswana using a validated Entrepreneurship Intention Questionnaire. The results provide evidence that all three immediate antecedents of entrepreneurial intention; attitude towards entrepreneurship, subjective norm and perceived behavioural control (perceived entrepreneurial abilities) directly influence entrepreneurial intention. Participation in entrepreneurship education was observed to positively influence students' intention to become an entrepreneur by changing their attitude towards entrepreneurship and increasing their entrepreneurial abilities. The implication is that the university curriculum should be redesigned in order to stimulate an environment that is conducive for developing positive entrepreneurial attitudes and abilities. Based on the above, it is recommended that (a) entrepreneurship education subjects be offered as core subjects in the first and final years at the University of Botswana and students' assessments should incorporate linking projects with small firms, (b) the University of Botswana Business Clinic should establish a venture accelerator programme by providing seed funding and an entrepreneurship-mentorship programme. Policymakers need to understand that government initiatives will affect business formations only if these initiatives affect attitudes, entrepreneurial abilities, and subjective norms, which could motivate young people to start a promising enterprise. The objective of the promotion of entrepreneurship policy in Botswana should be to increase the number of individuals considering business start-ups through more determined entrepreneurship education initiatives.展开更多

Assuming the perspective that to be an entrepreneur is basically an attitude towards life and the world, there proposed holistic, constructivist and experiential processes and strategies for entrepreneurship education. The "entrepreneur XXI", must be able to undertake a social function of change, so, an economical and social development more human, ethical and intelligent. Under this assumption, the "Tree Model for the Development of Entrepreneurial Competencies", that will be discussed globally in the second part of this article, suggests a dynamic and experiential approach ofentrepreneurship education based on the qualification of people's behaviour, self-esteem, competencies and experiences; a profile of key behavioural and performance competencies (root), experimental pedagogical procedures (trunk) and real results within group projects (fruits). Under this assumption, the "Tree Model for the Development of Entrepreneurial Competencies", that will be discussed globally in the second part of this article, suggests a dynamic and experiential approach ofentrepreneurship education based on the qualification of people's behaviour, self-esteem, competencies and experiences; a profile of key behavioural and performance competencies (root), experimental pedagogical procedures (trunk) and real results within group projects (fruits). This model has been developed during the last decade (2001-2011), using a multidisciplinary research-action procedure, within business, education (at different teaching levels) and social project environments.
文摘Mobile cloud learning and innovation and entrepreneurship education are undoubtedly one of the hot issues in the current development of human resources and education. At present, domestic colleges and universities still lack the industrialization model and platform that apply theory to practice areas, and apply the new mobile cloud learning technology to the research and practice of innovation and entrepreneurship training.

文摘In the last three decades or so,China has managed to become the second largest economy in the world,especially after engaging in economic reforms since the late 1970s.Despite being a“world factory”and playing a very significant role in manufacturing products and exporting to different parts of the globe,the Chinese government has realized that depending upon this production mode cannot sustain the country’s long term economic growth and development.Hence,the Chinese government has tried to invest more in advancing technology,research and innovation,knowledge transfer,and promoting entrepreneurship education.This article sets out to critically examine the major strategies and policies that the Chinese government has adopted in promoting entrepreneurship and innovation against the wider policies outlined above,with a focused reflection given to the major challenges facing Chinese universities during the process of promoting entrepreneurship and innovation,and entrepreneurship education.
