At the same time, the energy efficient envelope structure and the method of choosing insulation material in the cost of unit thermal resistance are proposed. Integrated quality evaluation by computer shows that thermal comfort in the house would be improved remarkably for the value of PPD drops from 35%-40% to 15%, the rate of saving energy is 51.73%, much higher than the third goal of saving energy in China, and the comprehensive ecological benefit achieves good effect so as to promote the sustainable development of rural housing and community in cold areas of Northern China.展开更多

The energy requirement for heating a case study industrial building was evaluated using measurements and calculations.During the winter period, energy consumption was measured in the selected industrial building according to a validation standard [2]. The building is comprised of two halls. The measurements were analyzed according to the criteria used for validating residential and public buildings, with several regression dependencies taken into account in the resulting evaluation of heating energy consumption. The mathematical dependencies of measured values in real conditions are shown in this paper. In addition, the building’s heating energy demand was calculated according to the Austrian standard [3], ?NORM EN ISO 13790, the simplified calculation method for non-residential buildings. It was investigated whether the measured values could be replicated using this calculation. It was found that the precise definition of the internal heat gains is very important.展开更多

It has been shown that frequency-following responses(FFRs) in the rat inferior colliculus can be divided into the envelope component(FFREnv)and the temporal fine structure component(FFRTFS). However, the existing FFR models cannot successfully separate FFREnv and FFRTFS. This study was to develop a new FFR model to effectively distinguish FFREnv from FFRTFS by both combining the advantages of the two existing FFR models and simultaneously adding cellular properties of inferior colliculus neurons. To evaluate the validity of the present model, correlations between simulated FFRs and experimental data from the rat inferior colliculus were calculated. Different model parameters were tested, FFRs were calculated, and the parameters with highest prediction were chosen to establish an ideal FFR model. The results indicate that the new FFR model can provide reliable predictions for experimentally obtained FFREnv and FFRTFS.展开更多

This confines its application scope. We aim at groupwise dimension reduction with overlapped group structure or even unknown group structure. To this end, existing groupwise dimension reduction concept is extended to be compatible with overlapped group structure. Then, the envelope method is ameliorated to deal with overlapped groupwise dimension reduction. As an application, Gaussian graphic model is employed to estimate the structure between predictors when the group structure is not given, and the amended envelope method is used for groupwise dimension reduction with graphic structure. Furthermore, the rationale of the proposed estimation procedure is explained at the population level and the estimation consistency is proved at the sample level. Finally, the finite sample performance of the proposed methods is examined via numerical simulations and a body fat data analysis.展开更多
