These days,data is regarded as a valuable asset in the era of the data economy,which demands a trading platform for buying and selling data.However,online data trading poses challenges in terms of security and fairnes...These days,data is regarded as a valuable asset in the era of the data economy,which demands a trading platform for buying and selling data.However,online data trading poses challenges in terms of security and fairness because the seller and the buyer may not fully trust each other.Therefore,in this paper,a blockchain-based secure and fair data trading system is proposed by taking advantage of the smart contract and matchmaking encryption.The proposed system enables bilateral authorization,where data trading between a seller and a buyer is accomplished only if their policies,required by each other,are satisfied simultaneously.This can be achieved by exploiting the security features of the matchmaking encryption.To guarantee non-repudiation and fairness between trading parties,the proposed system leverages a smart contract to ensure that the parties honestly carry out the data trading protocol.However,the smart contract in the proposed system does not include complex cryptographic operations for the efficiency of onchain processes.Instead,these operations are carried out by off-chain parties and their results are used as input for the on-chain procedure.The system also uses an arbitration protocol to resolve disputes based on the trading proof recorded on the blockchain.The performance of the protocol is evaluated in terms of off-chain computation overhead and on-chain gas consumption.The results of the experiments demonstrate that the proposed protocols can enable the implementation of a cost-effective data trading system.展开更多
This paper analyses the herding behaviour among exchanges around the expiration of bitcoin futures traded on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange(CME).The database extends from December 2017 to October 2020,taking as a ref...This paper analyses the herding behaviour among exchanges around the expiration of bitcoin futures traded on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange(CME).The database extends from December 2017 to October 2020,taking as a reference the main exchanges that trade bitcoin(Binance,Bitfinex,Bitstamp,Coinbase,itBit,Kraken,and Gemini)and using hourly closing prices and trading volumes in bitcoin and US dollars.Adapting the proposal of Chang,Cheng and Khorana(2000)(CCK)to test conditional herding,we obtain results that indicate that the herding effect is significant during the week before expiration.After expiration,the herding effect lasts for a few hours and disappears.Information overload originating,among other causes,from sophisticated investors’strategies may generate this mimetic behaviour.The results show the relevance of intraday data applied to specific events such as expiration since the unconditional analysis shows,in general,anti-herding behaviour throughout the period of study.展开更多

It plays an important role in canalizing capital from the investors to the business houses, which consequently leads to the availability of funds for business expansion. In this paper, we investigate to predict the daily excess returns of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) indices over the respective Treasury bill rate returns. Initially, we prove that the excess return time series do not fluctuate randomly. We are applying the prediction models of Autoregressive feed forward Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) to predict the excess return time series using lagged value. For the Artificial Neural Networks model using a Genetic Algorithm is constructed to choose the optimal topology. This paper examines the feasibility of the prediction task and provides evidence that the markets are not fluctuating randomly and finally, to apply the most suitable prediction model and measure their efficiency.展开更多
The global competition in banking sector, global capital flows, and proliferation of financial markets have been forcing banks to utilize their resources in an efficient way and use various methods to determine and in...The global competition in banking sector, global capital flows, and proliferation of financial markets have been forcing banks to utilize their resources in an efficient way and use various methods to determine and increase their performances against the competitors. Within this context, the relative efficiency measurement and statistical (parametric) efficiency measurements that employ (non-parametric) mathematical programming based on Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method are such instruments and they are used to determine brand value and financial performance that are pivotal factors in company mergers, acquisitions, and joint venture activities. This study works with Turkish banks whose brand values have been calculated by Brand Finance and whose brand values have been listed in Global Banking 500 for the years between 2010 and 2012. Firstly, using the banks' data published by Public Disclosure Platform (PDP/KAP), a non-parametric model with three inputs and four outputs has been developed. Relative and super efficiencies of the banks have been measured by mathematical programming based DEA and the efficiency scores that come out of this analysis have been ranked, resulting in an "efficiency ranking of the banks". Following this, the efficiency ranking of these banks has been compared with brand value ranking of Brand Finance and their similarity/correspondence has been assessed.展开更多

Within this context, the relative efficiency measurement and statistical (parametric) efficiency measurements that employ (non-parametric) mathematical programming based on Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method are such instruments and they are used to determine brand value and financial performance that are pivotal factors in company mergers, acquisitions, and joint venture activities. This study works with Turkish banks whose brand values have been calculated by Brand Finance and whose brand values have been listed in Global Banking 500 for the years between 2010 and 2012. Firstly, using the banks' data published by Public Disclosure Platform (PDP/KAP), a non-parametric model with three inputs and four outputs has been developed. Relative and super efficiencies of the banks have been measured by mathematical programming based DEA and the efficiency scores that come out of this analysis have been ranked, resulting in an "efficiency ranking of the banks". Following this, the efficiency ranking of these banks has been compared with brand value ranking of Brand Finance and their similarity/correspondence has been assessed.

文摘Digital exchange platform is a comprehensive service platform. In this paper, the construction scheme of the platform is proposed. By constructing the data exchange platform, a people-oriented information environment was built to meet demands of faculty, staff and students on information resources. And thus a digital campus was constructed to provide efficient online services and information resources. The experimental results show that the platform is user-friendly, runs orderly, integrates the service, and provides a good reference value for the data integration of enterprises and universities in the future.
