Original equipment manufacturers(OEM) have never been so important and powerful as it is today in garment manufacturing industry.The OEMsupplier's production decisions always have a great impact on the market performance and the profits of a garment brand manufacturer.With constrained capacity and multiply buyers,howto make reasonable production decisions is an urgent problem for OEMsuppliers.A price discount model with a single OEMsupplier and two buyers is proposed to deal with the problem.Based on this model,the OEMsupplier could satisfy buyers' demands and guarantee their profits as well through adjusting price and delivery frequency.A numerical example validates the validity of the model. 展开更多

The third party based equipment sharing approach is put forward to optimize the utilization of distributed equipment for networked manufacturing; Taking advantage of the shared equipment offered by equipment providers by means of lease agreement, the third party carries out production by establishing networked virtual factory. Operational mechanism of the third party based equipment sharing is discussed, and characteristics of this approach in achieving resource allocation are analyzed. Shared equipment planning is formulated as an optimization problem with the objective of maximizing profits for equipment coordinator, a mathematical model for shared equipment planning is developed. Finally a case study is discussed to show the effectiveness of the planning model. 展开更多

One single Key Performance Indicator (KPI) is mainly employed to evaluate equipment in most studies, neither integrating the KPIs into a completed evaluation system nor considering the impact and conflict among KPIs. In this paper, a KPI evaluation architecture is presented to define and analyze KPIs, and then a common structure for KPI to obtain the KPI set of manufacturing equipment is introduced. An available multi-KPl coordination model is proposed to discern and balance the relationship among multi-KPl. Finally, a case study is introduced to illustrate the applicability of the coordination model by using multi-objective optimization strategy and an efficient solution is obtained. 展开更多

Firstly, this paper analyzes the development status of equipment manufacturing industry in Shanghai, and then uses DEA to analyze the efficiency of technology innovation capability of equipment manufacturing industry in Shanghai. The results show that the equipment manufacturing industry in Shanghai has stronger overall drawing ability, and besides, the technology innovation ability of the transportation equipment manufacturing industry is weak, other equipment manufacturing sub industries have relatively strong ability of technological innovation. This paper analyzes the shortcomings of the transportation equipment manufacturing industry and gives guidance and puts forward corresponding suggestions and measures. 展开更多

First, the concept of manufacturing capacity is defined, and the re- lationship between practical and expected manufacturing capacity is described. Then the concept of role is intro- duced and the manufacturing equipment role is defined in detail. Based on the analysis of manufacturing capacity and manufacturing equipment role, the three-stage manufacturing equipment support model is proposed. With this model, the manufacturing task can be decomposed into several manufacturing equipment roles, and the ex- pended manufacturing capacity involved in the manufacturing equipment role can be matched with the practical manufacturing capacity of the enterprise. China is currently vigorously implementing the“energy conservation and emission reduction”and“dual carbon”strategies.As the most resource-advantaged light metal material in China,Magnesium(Mg)alloy is progressively expanding its application in automobile,rail transportation,aerospace,medical,and electronic products.Chongqing University,Shanghai Jiaotong University,and Australian National University have conducted extensive research on the preparation,properties,and processes of Mg alloys.In the past 20 years,the proportion of Mg alloy in the automotive industry has gradually expanded,whereas currently the design and development of Mg alloy parts for automobiles has rarely been reported.Thus,the application models and typical parts cases of Mg alloy are summarized mainly from the four systems of the whole vehicle(body system,chassis system,powertrain system,interior,and exterior system).Subsequently,two actual original equipment manufacturers(OEM)cases are used to introduce the development logic of reliable die-cast Mg alloy,including forward design,formability analysis,process design analysis,structural redesign,manufacturing,and testing,aiming to share the methods,processes,and focus of attention of automotive OEMs for developing Mg alloy parts to enhance the confidence and motivation of applying Mg alloy in automotive field.Eventually,the multiple challenges faced by Mg alloy materials are sorted out and how to face these challenges are discussed.National policies and regulations,environmental protection and energy saving,and consumer demand will continue to promote the application of Mg. 展开更多

In recent years,robots have been extensively applied in the establishment of intelligent manufacturing systems.Many robotized manufacturing equipment have been developed,some of which have gained successful applications.A mechanism is the skeleton of a machine that transfers motion and energy.The topology of a mechanism is an important gene that determines the function and performance of a machine.Although several reviews have focused on robotized manufacturing,an up-to-date review of robotized manufacturing equipment from the perspective of mechanism topology is lacking.This motivated us to present a survey about existing robotics structures used in manufacturing equipment.Relevant studies are classified into three types:serial robot-based manufacturing equipment,parallel kinematic machines,and hybrid robot-based manufacturing equipment.The features and performance behaviour of these equipments,as determined by their mechanism topology,are analyzed.In particular,the influences of joint numbers,rotational axes of output motion,actuation schemes,and topological symmetry on equipment performance are discussed to provide insight into the new development of robotized manufacturing equipment,as well as future research directions on this topic. 展开更多

Precise Control of Temperature Rising Speed of Wafer during Rapid Thermal Processing

In rapid thermal processing of a semiconductor wafer, it is important to keep a given temperature rising speed of the wafer during the temperature rising process. We made an experimental apparatus to measure the temperature rising speed of a ceramic ball of 2 mm in diameter heated with four halogen lamp heaters. The heating rate of the halogen lamp heaters was controlled by computer to keep a given temperature rising speed of 50 ℃/s with a controlling time interval of 0.1 s. We examined the effect of various heating control methods on the error of the temperature rising speed of the ceramic ball. We found that a combined method of control with prepared correlation and PID (proportional integral derivative) control is a good method to decrease the error of the temperature rising speed. The average error of the temperature rising speed is 0.5 ℃/s, and the repetition error is almost zero for the temperature rising speed of 50 ℃/s from 330 ℃ to 370 ℃. We also measured the effects of artificial control delay time and measuring error of the monitoring temperature on the error of the temperature rising speed. 展开更多
