The salt-inclusion materials have drawn significant attention for their manifold structural chemistry and novel physical/chemical properties.Herein,two new salt-inclusion chalcohalides,[Cs_(6)Cl][Ga_(5)GeQ_(12)](Q=S,S...The salt-inclusion materials have drawn significant attention for their manifold structural chemistry and novel physical/chemical properties.Herein,two new salt-inclusion chalcohalides,[Cs_(6)Cl][Ga_(5)GeQ_(12)](Q=S,Se),have been discovered via hightemperature flux methods.The two isostructural compounds are constructed by porous[Ga_(5)GeQ_(12)]^(5−)layers with[ClCs_(6)]^(5+)octahedra filled in the holes.The[Ga_(5)GeQ_(12)]^(5−)layer is composed of the honeycomb-like(Ga/Ge)_(18)Q_(42)rings containing(Ga/Ge)_(3)Q_(9)trimer as basic unit.The band gaps of the two compounds are 3.90 and 2.89 eV,respectively.[Cs_(6)Cl][Ga_(5)GeS_(12)]exhibits interesting two-band emission properties which are related to the intermediate-band electronic structure revealed by density functional theory(DFT)calculations.Owing to the porous layered structure,[Cs_(6)Cl][Ga_(5)GeS_(12)]exhibits topological ion exchange ability towards Cd^(2+)ions with the maximum sorption capacity of 250 mg/g and high distribution coefficient(Kd)near 106 mL/g.This work further enriches the structural diversity of salt-inclusion materials and extends their potential application range to ion exchange adsorption.展开更多

Firstly, different mass ratios of lauric acid(LA) and stearic acid(SA) eutectic mixtures were prepared and characterized by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC). Then, the performance of eutectic mixture during charging process under different fin widths in vertical condition, and performance during charging and discharging processes under different inlet temperature heat transfer fluid(HTF) in horizontal condition were investigated, respectively. The results revealed that the LA-SA eutectic mixture had the suitable phase change temperature and desired latent heat for low-temperature water floor heating system. Wide fins and high inlet temperature HTF significantly enhanced the transfer rate and decreased the melting time.展开更多

In this paper, we consider Morita context, Morita-like equivalence and the exchange property for the xst-rings. The results of the first Morita theorem are generalized to the xst-rings. So we obtain an important Morita-like equivalence of the xst-rings, from which, as an immediate consequence, we deduce the main result of Xu-Shum-Turner [4] and the standard Morita equivalence, A ~ Mn(A), for a unital ring A. Moreover, we describe the properties of those well-known intermediate matrix rings, and show that the exchange property of a unital ring A coincides with the one for any Mn(A) as well as any intermediate matrix ring sitting between FM&(A) and FC&(A), which is an extension of a well-known result obtained by Nicholson [7].展开更多

Herein, we reported a wet-gel crystallization route to synthesize zeolite LTA from simple filtration of the initial reaction mixture followed by heating for crystallization. The products were characterized in detail by means of X-ray diffraction, Raman spectra, scanning electron microscopy and elemental analysis. The yields of the solid products were also investigated, which suggested that the wet-gel method afforded an obvious improve- ment of products yield compared with the conventional synthesis route. For application as detergent builder, the cal- cium ion exchange rates of the wet-gel synthesized zeolites were similar with that of conventional LTA zeolites. Therefore the wet-gel route would be potentially important in industry due to its advantages of easy-performing, high-yielding and energy-saving.展开更多
