Scientific researches about deepwater basins kept revealing brand new tectonic and sedimentary discoveries. In order to summarize the structural features and main controlling factors of the deepwater Qiongdongnan Basin, a series of researches on basin architecture, fault activities, tectonic deformation and evolution were carried out. In reference to analogue modeling experiments, a tectonic situation and a basin formation mechanism were discussed. The researches indicate that:the northern boundary of the Qiongdongnan Basin is strongly controlled by No. 2 fault. The overlapping control of two stress fields from the east and the west made the central depression zone extremely thinned. Combined with the changed stress field, the segmentation of a preexisting weakness zone made the sags in the east experiencing different rifting histories from the west ones. The NE-trending west segment of the Qiongdongnan Basin experienced strong rifting during Eocene, while the roughly EW-trending sags in the east segment show strong rifting during late Eocene and early Oligocene. Local structures such as NW-trending basal fault and inherited uplifts controlled the lateral segmentation. As a backbone, we introduced methyl phosphotriester (MPTE). Duplex formation according to the traditional Watson and Crick base-pairing: [(MPTE)n−1 DNA] * DNA and [(MPTE)n−1 DNA] * RNA, where n = number of DNA and RNA bases. However, in the latter case, inhibition is obtained by reduction of the number of MPTE linkages, as is confirmed with model experiments and under biological conditions with micro (mi)RNA substrates. The latter results have recently been published. One or more single MPTEs are disseminated over different places of DNA without neighbour MPTEs (Prof. Wen-Yih Chen and his group, Taiwan).展开更多

The model experiment is performed on an underwater shaking table to simulate the response of submarine pipelines under dynamic input. In consideration of the effects of the terrestrial and submarine pipeline, water depth, support condition, distance from seabed, empty and full pipeline, and span on dynamic response, 120 groups of experiments are conducted. Affecting factors are analyzed and conclusions are drawn for reference. For the control of dynamic response, the span of a submarine pipeline is by far more important than the other factors. Meanwhile, the rosponse difference between a submarine pipeline under sine excitation and that under random excitation exists in experiments.展开更多

The digital photogrammetry technology and large deformation analysis method are applied to measure the deformation and fracture of surrounding rocks. The experimental results indicate that the deformation and fracture of coal pillars are the cause to the instability and failure of the surrounding rocks. The spatiotemporal evolution rule of the rock deformation and fracture surrounding gob-side roadway is obtained. The coal pillar and the roof near coal pillar should be strengthened in support design. The engineering application results also can provide a useful guide that the combined support with wire meshes, beam, anchor bolt and cable is an effective method.展开更多

Such a combined structure is conducive to the water exchange in the harbor, and has strong capability on wave dissipation. Our paper focuses on the discussion of two typical structures, i.e., the submerged baffle and rectangular breakwater combined with the upper baffle respectively, which are named as SCBSB 1 and SCBSB2 for short. The eigenfunction method corrected by experimental results is used to investigate the wave dissipation characteristics. It shows that the calculated results agree well with the experimental data and the minimum value of the wave transmission coefficient can be obtained when the distance between the front and rear structures is from 1/4 to 1/2 of the incident wave length.展开更多

The impact of retrogressive landslides is different from that of other landslide types due to the phenomenon of retrogression. The hazards caused by retrogressive landslides may be increased because retrogressive landslides usually affect housing, facilities, and infrastructure located far from the original slopes. Additionally, substantial geomorphic evidence shows that the abundant supply of loose sediment in the source area of a debris flow is usually provided by retrogressive landslides that are triggered by the undercutting of water. Moreover, according to historic case studies, some large landslides are the evolution result of retrogressive landslides. Hence the ability to understand and predict the evolution of retrogressive landslides is crucial for the purpose of hazard mitigation. This paper discusses the phenomenon of a retrogressive landslide by using a model experiment and suggests a reasonably simplified numerical approach for the prediction of rainfall-induced retrogressive landslides. The simplified numerical approach, which combines the finite element method for seepage analysis, the shear strength reduction finite element method, and the analysis criterion for the retrogression and accumulation effect, is presented and used to predict the characteristics of a retrogressive landslide. The results show that this numerical approach is capable of reasonably predicting the characteristics of retrogressive landslides under rainfall infiltration, particularly the magnitude of each landslide, the position of the slip surface, and the development processes of the retrogressive landslide. Therefore, this approach is expected to be a practical method for the mitigation of damage caused by rainfall-induced retrogressive landslides.展开更多

Strain I was separated from the formation water of the Dagang oil field, with analytical results showing that Strain I is a gram-positive bacillus. A further study revealed that this strain has an excellent tolerance of environmental stresses: It can survive in conditions of 70℃, 30 wt% salinity and pH3.5-9.4. Strain I can metabolize biosurfactants that could increase the oil recovery ratio, use crude oil as the single carbon source, and decompose long-chain paraffin with a large molecular weight into short-chain paraffin with a small molecular weight. The core model experiment shows that Strain I enhances oil recovery well. Using 2 vol% of the fermentation solution of Strain I to displace the crude oil in the synthetic plastic bonding core could increase the recovery ratio by 21.6%.展开更多

With consideration of the viscous damping of foundation and heave plates, the amplitude-frequency response characteristics of the foundation are studied. By taking into account the elastic effect of blades and tower, the classic quasi-steady blade-element/momentum(BEM) theory is used to calculate the aerodynamic elastic loads. A coupled dynamic model of the turbine-foundationmooring lines is established to calculate the motion response of floating foundation under Kaimal wind spectrum and regular wave by using the FAST codes. The model experiment is carried out to test damping characteristics and natural motion behaviors of the wind turbine system. The dynamics response is tested by considering only waves and the joint action of wind and waves. It is shown that the wind turbine system can avoid resonances under the action of wind and waves. In addition, the heave motion of the floating foundation is induced by waves and the surge motion is induced by wind. The action of wind and waves is of significance for pitch.展开更多

文摘As an important wave energy converter(WEC),the double-buoy device has advantages of wider energy absorption band and deeper water adaptability, which attract an increasing number of attentions from researchers. This paper makes an in-depth study on double-buoy WEC,by means of the combination of model experiment and numerical simulation. The Response Amplitude Operator(RAO)and energy capture of the double-buoy under constant power take-off(PTO)damping are investigated in the model test, while the average power output and capture width ratio(CWR)are calculated by the numerical simulation to analyze the influence of the wave condition,PTO,and the geometry parameters of the device. The AQWA-Fortran united simulation sy stem, including the secondary developme nt of AQWA software coupled with the flowchart of the Fortran code, models a new dynamic system.Various viscous damping and hydraulic friction from WEC system are measured from the experimental results, and these values are added to the equation of motion. As a result, the energy loss is contained in the final numerical model the by united simulation system.Using the developed numerical model, the optimal period of energy capture is identified. The power capture reaches the maximum value under the outer buoy's natural period. The paper gives the peak value of the energy capture under the linear PTO damping force, and calculates the optimal mass ratio of the device.

文摘Objective:To examine the present state of fatigue in young and middle-aged patients with coronary heart disease(CHD)and to identify the elements that may be affecting it.Methods:From December 2020 to June 2021,240 young and middle-aged patients with CHD who were being treated in the cardiology department of a tertiary care hospital in Suzhou were chosen using a convenience sampling method in order to gather data on the patients’sociodemographic status, fatigue, social support, and stress. Results:Of the 240 disseminated questionnaires,220 valid responses were returned, resulting in an effective recovery rate of 91.67%.The frequency of exhaustion was 51.8%,and the fatigue score was(5.27±2.77).The stress score was(11.15±3.36),while the overall social support score was(39.13±4.72).Binary logistic regression analysis indicated that age, exercise, staying up late, stress, social support,high-sensitivity troponin T,high-density lipoprotein, and ejection fraction were independent risk factors for fatigue in young and middle-aged patients with CHD(P<0.05).Conclusions:Fatigue is more prevalent in young and middle-aged patients with CHD.Clinical nurses can create a unique management plan for patients based on their lifestyle and behavioral patterns, stress levels, social support, and clinical signs to reduce fatigue.
文摘With the help of model experiments, we are able to offer a detailed proposal for the inhibition of DNA duplication and no inhibition of RNA viral infectivity. Wen-Yih Chen and his group, Taiwan).

文摘Seismic load has a significant effect on the response of a free spanning submarine pipeline when the pipeline is constructed in a seismically active region. Meanwhile, the rosponse difference between a submarine pipeline under sine excitation and that under random excitation exists in experiments.

文摘A series of plane-strain physical model experiments are carried out to study the spatiotemporal evolution rule of rocks fracture surrounding gob-side roadway, which is subjected to the pressure induced by the mining process. The engineering application results also can provide a useful guide that the combined support with wire meshes, beam, anchor bolt and cable is an effective method.

文摘A number of beach-bar sandstone reservoir beds are developed in the upper fourth member of the Eocene Shahejie Formation (Es4s) on the southern slope of the Dongying Sag.Based on the analysis of seismic and logging data, with characterization and petrographic studies of core and cutting samples, this paper analyzes the hydrocarbon accumulation characteristics in two typical blocks of the Boxing and Wangjiagang oilfields, especially reservoir bed heterogeneity and migration conditions that influence oil and gas distribution, calculates the index of reservoir bed quality (IRQ) with a mathematical method, and discusses the relationship between driving force and resistance of hydrocarbon accumulation.Taking into account the characteristics of thin interbeds in beach-bar sandstones,an experimental model simulated the characteristics of hydrocarbon migration and accumulation in thin interbedded sandstones with reservoir bed heterogeneity. The results showed that hydrocarbon distribution and properties were extremely non-uniform.Reservoir bed and migration conditions controlled hydrocarbon accumulation in beach-bar sandstones.IRQ is above 0.4 in the main hydrocarbon region.Sand body distribution, structural configuration and fault systems controlled the direction of regional migration and location of hydrocarbon accumulation.Simulation experiments indicated that the change of driving force for hydrocarbon migration affected selective accumulation mechanisms.Hydrocarbon moved vertically along fault zones to the reservoir and resulted in the distribution of hydrocarbon in the reservoir. Two kinds of hydrocarbon accumulation models exist in the study area. One is a hydrocarbon accumulation model controlled by reservoir bed heterogeneity and the second is a hydrocarbon accumulation model controlled by a complex migration system with faults connecting sandbodies. Finally, different exploration strategies should be adopted for the detailed exploration for beach-bar sandstone reservoirs according to different geological backgrounds.
文摘A multi-burner-port annular flameless ceramic burner (MAFCB) of the shaftless stove for blast furnaces was designed. The characteristics of pressure drop, homogeneousness of the flows at burner ports, and distribution of the flows in the chambers and joint were studied by cold model experiments. This type of ceramic burner was successfully applied in 6# blast furnace at Liuzhou Iron & Steel Co. Ltd. (LISC) and this practice proved that it could be used in the hot blast stove and other stoves with a higher efficiency and a higher steadiness of hot blast temperature at 1200℃. With the combustion of blast furnace gas alone, the thermal efficiency was up to 78.95%, saving energy remarkably.

文摘This paper proposes a structure combined by baffle and submerged breakwater (abbreviated to SCBSB in the following texts). It shows that the calculated results agree well with the experimental data and the minimum value of the wave transmission coefficient can be obtained when the distance between the front and rear structures is from 1/4 to 1/2 of the incident wave length.

文摘Retrogressive landslides are common geological phenomena in mountainous areas and on onshore and offshore slopes. Therefore, this approach is expected to be a practical method for the mitigation of damage caused by rainfall-induced retrogressive landslides.
文摘This paper introduces the results of selecting and breeding a micro-organism, Strain I, and its core model experiment investigation for microbial enhanced oil recovery (MEOR). Using 2 vol% of the fermentation solution of Strain I to displace the crude oil in the synthetic plastic bonding core could increase the recovery ratio by 21.6%.

文摘Peirce-Smith copper converting involves complex multiphase flow and mixing. In this work, the flow zone distribution and mixing time in a Peirce-Smith copper converter were investigated in a 1:5 scaled cold model.Flow field distribution, including dead, splashing, and strong-loop zones, were measured, and a dimensionless equation was established to determine the correlation of the effects of stirring and mixing energy with an error of<5%.Four positions in the bath,namely,injection,splashing,strong-loop,and dead zones, were selected to add a hollow salt powder tracer and measure the mixing time.Injecting a quartz flux through tuyeres or into the backflow point of the splashing wave through a chute was recommended instead of adding it through a crane hopper from the top of the furnace to improve the slag-making reaction.

文摘The stability of slope rock masses is influenced by freeze-thaw cycles in cold region, and the mechanism of stability deterioration is not clear. In order to understand the damage and progressive failure characteristics of rock masses under the action of freezing and thawing,a model test was conducted on slope with steep joint in this study. The temperature, frost heaving pressure and deformation of slope rock mass were monitored in real-time during the test and the progressive failure mode was studied. The experimental results show that the temperature variations of cracking and the rock mass of a slope are different. There are obvious latent heat stages in the temperature-change plot in the crack, but not in the slope rock masses. The frost heaving effect in the fracture is closely related to the constraint conditions, which change with the deformation of the fracture. The frost heaving pressure fluctuates periodically during freezing and continues to decrease during thawing. The surface deformation of the rock mass increases during freezing, and the deformation is restored when it thaws.Freeze-thaw cycling results in residual deformation of the rock mass which cannot be fully restored.Analysis shows that the rock mass at the free side of the steep-dip joint rotates slightly under the frost heaving effect, causing fracture propagation. The fracture propagation pattern is a circular arc at the beginning, then extends to the possible sliding direction of the rock mass.Frost heaving force and fracture water pressure are the key factors for the failure of the slope, which can cause the crack to penetrate the rock mass, and a landslide ensues when the overall anti-sliding resistance of the rock mass is overcome.

文摘The floating foundation is designed to support a 1.5 MW wind turbine in 30 m water depth. The action of wind and waves is of significance for pitch.
