Tools and Algorithm for Concept Analysis Using Medical Data

Drug taxonomy could be described as an inherent structure of different pharmaceutical componential drugs. Unfortunately, the literature does not always provide a clear path to define and classify adverse drug events. ... Drug taxonomy could be described as an inherent structure of different pharmaceutical componential drugs. Unfortunately, the literature does not always provide a clear path to define and classify adverse drug events. While not a systematic review, this paper uses examples from the literature to illustrate problems that investigators will confront as they develop a conceptual framework for their research. It also proposes a targeted taxonomy that can facilitate a clear and consistent approach to understanding different drugs and could aid in the comparison to results of past and future studies. In terms of building the drugs taxonomy, symptoms information were selected, clustered and adapted for this purpose. Finally, although national or international agreement on taxonomy for different drugs is a distant or unachievable goal, individual investigations and the literature as a whole will be improved by prospective, explicit classification of different drugs using this new pharmacy information system (PIS) and inclusion of the study's approach to classification in publications. The PIS allows user to find information quickly by following semantic connections that surround every drug linked to the subject. It provides quicker search, faster and more intuitive understanding of the focus. This research work can pretend to become a leading provider of encyclopedia service for scientists and educators, as well as attract the scientific community-universities, research and development groups. 展开更多

Data exploration,usually the first step in data analysis,is a useful method to tackle challenges caused by big geoscience data.It conducts quick analysis of data,investigates the patterns,and generates/refines research questions to guide advanced statistics and machine learning algorithms.The background of this work is the open mineral data provided by several sources,and the focus is different types of associations in mineral properties and occurrences.Researchers in mineralogy have been applying different techniques for exploring such associations.Although the explored associations can lead to new scientific insights that contribute to crystallography,mineralogy,and geochemistry,the exploration process is often daunting due to the wide range and complexity of factors involved.In this study,our purpose is implementing a visualization tool based on the adjacency matrix for a variety of datasets and testing its utility for quick exploration of association patterns in mineral data.Algorithms,software packages,and use cases have been developed to process a variety of mineral data.The results demonstrate the efficiency of adjacency matrix in real-world usage.All the developed works of this study are open source and open access. 展开更多

Fractal and multi-fractal content area method finds application in a wide variety of geological,geochemical and geophysical fields.In this study,the fractal content-gradient method was used on1:10,000 scale to delineate geochemical anomalies associated with copper mineralization.Analysis of geochemical data from the Yangla super large Cu-Pb-Zn polymetallic ore district using the fractal content-gradient method,combined with other geological data from this area,indicates that oreprospecting in the ore district should focus on Cu as the main metal and Pb-Zn and Au as the auxiliary metals.The types of deposits include(in chronological order) re-formed sedimentary exhalative(SEDEX),skarns,porphyries,and hydrothermal vein-type deposits.Three ore-prospecting targets are divided on a S-N basis:(1) the Qulong exploration area,in which the targets are porphyry-type Cu deposits;(2) the Zongya exploration area,where the targets are porphyry-type Cu and hydrothermal vein-type Cu-Pb polymetallic deposits;and(3) the Zarelongma exploration area,characterized mainly skarn-type "Yangla-style" massive sulfide Cu-Pb deposits.Our study demonstrates that the fractal content-gradient method is convenient,simple,rapid,and direct for delineating geochemical anomalies and for outlining potential exploration targets. 展开更多

A method is proposed for the prospecting prediction of subsurface mineral deposits based on soil geochemistry data and a deep convolutional neural network model.This method uses three techniques(window offset,scaling,and rotation)to enhance the number of training data for the model.A window area is used to extract the spatial distribution characteristics of soil geochemistry and measure their correspondence with the occurrence of known subsurface deposits.Prospecting prediction is achieved by matching the characteristics of the window area of an unknown area with the relationships established in the known area.This method can efficiently predict mineral prospective areas where there are few ore deposits used for generating the training dataset,meaning that the deep-learning method can be effectively used for deposit prospecting prediction.Using soil active geochemical measurement data,this method was applied in the Daqiao area,Gansu Province,for which seven favorable gold prospecting target areas were predicted.The Daqiao orogenic gold deposit of latest Jurassic and Early Jurassic age in the southern domain has more than 105 t of gold resources at an average grade of 3-4 g/t.In 2020,the project team drilled and verified the K prediction area,and found 66 m gold mineralized bodies.The new method should be applicable to prospecting prediction using conventional geochemical data in other areas. 展开更多

Sources of uncertainty in exploring rangeland phenology: A case study in an alpine meadow on the central Tibetan Plateau 被引量:1

Global climate change has been found to substantially influence the phenology of rangeland,especially on the Tibetan Plateau. However, there is considerable controversy about the trends and causes of rangeland phenology owing to different phenological exploration methods and lack of ground validation. Little is known about the uncertainty in the exploration accuracy of vegetation phenology.Therefore, in this study, we selected a typical alpine rangeland near Damxung national meteorological station as a case study on central Tibetan Plateau, and identified several important sources influencing phenology to better understand their effects on phenological exploration. We found man-made land use was not easily distinguished from natural rangelands, and therefore this may confound phenological response to climate change in the rangeland. Change trends of phenology explored by four methods were similar, but ratio threshold method(RTM) was more suitable for exploring vegetation phenology in terms of the beginning of growing season(BGS) and end of growing season(EGS). However, some adjustments are needed when RTM is used in extreme drought years. MODIS NDVI/EVI dataset was most suitable for exploring vegetation phenology of BGS and EGS. The discrimination capacities of vegetation phenology declined with decreasing resolution of remote sensing images from MODIS to GIMMS AVHRR datasets. Additionally, distinct trends of phenological change rates were indicated in different terrain conditions, with advance of growing season in high altitudes but delay of season in lower altitudes. Therefore, it was necessary to eliminate interference of complex terrain and man-made land use to ensure the representativeness of natural vegetation. Moreover, selecting the appropriate method to explore rangelands and fully considering the impact of topography are important to accurately analyze the effects of climate change on vegetation phenology. 展开更多

Then we obtained the dependent and the independent variables of changesin land utilization level by exploring various data. In sparse multi-dimensional data, many dimensions are irrelevant and obscure the cluster boundaries. Subspace clustering helps by mining the clusters present in only locally relevant subsets of dimensions. However, understanding the result of subspace clustering by analysts is not trivial. In addition to the grouping information, relevant sets of dimensions and overlaps between groups, both in terms of dimensions and records, need to be analyzed. We introduce a visual subspace cluster analysis system called ClustNails. It integrates several novel visualization techniques with various user interaction facilities to support navigating and interpreting the result of subspace clustering. We demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed system by applying it to the analysis of real world data and comparing it with existing visual subspace cluster analysis systems. 展开更多

Due to extensive water pollution in Chinese rivers and lakes,large efforts have to be made to improve the quality of drinking water and manage the sewage water treatment process.We propose a general workflow for integrating a large number of heterogeneous data sets relating to various hydrological compartments into a Virtual Geographic Environment(VGE).This allows both researchers and stakeholders to easily access complex data collections in a unified context,find interrelations or inconsistencies between data sets and evaluate simulation results with respect to other observations or simulations in the same region.A prototype of such a VGE has been set up for the region around Chao Lake,containing more than 20 spatial data sets and collections as well as first simulation result.The prototype has been successfully presented to researchers and stakeholders from China and Germany. 展开更多
