At the beginning of 21st century, the development takes a great step forward with more relevant articles published in all kinds of magazines. This review focuses on the articles published in the most important periodicals of foreign language teaching and research since the 1980s. In order to get an over-all understanding of the theories, the author classifies them into two aspects basic theories of foreign language writing and theories of teaching foreign language writing. 展开更多

The previous studies show that the major problems faced by the students in writing can be classified into two categories, that is, they don't know"what to write"and"how to write". The researchers found that the specific problems existing in their writings are identified as poor content, incomplete generic structure and misuse of cohesive devices. Therefore, on the basis of the previous studies, this study attempts to use Martin's genre theory to resolve the existed problems of the Professional College English major's students in writing and enhance students' discourse writing ability. Meanwhile, this study tries to answer the following questions:(1) Compared with the traditional writing teaching methods, whether the genre-based writing method has a significant effect to improve students' writing skills;(2) Whether the genre-based writing method is possible to increase students' interest in writing. The experimental result and the questionnaire show that genre-based approach in ESL writing teaching really can improve students' writing achievement and enhance students' interest in English writing. 展开更多

Starting with the controversies aroused by the novella, this paper discusses the relationships among literary creation, criticism and theory in the bottom writing. The problem of the social bottom is not only an economic or political problem, but also such a complicated cultural problem that has attracted increasing attention in the field of human science. As it were, around the problem of the bottom class, a new public field integrating different kinds of writing forms and various theoretical materials is formed. This paper aims to reflect upon the approximations between literature and history in Pat Barker's novel Regeneration (1991). The novel fictionalizes the conversations held by three war veterans who wrote and fought in the First World War (Wilfred Owen, Siegfried Sassoon, and Robert Graves) during their stay at Craiglockart's Hospital--a war hospital for the treatment of shell-shocked officers, in Scotland. The paper addresses more emphatically how traditional male and female roles are renegotiated in Barker's metafiction. Finally, it provides some considerations on British women war writing of the First World War, a tradition in which Regeneration is rooted and emerges as a remarkable contemporary example. 展开更多

The students taught were second-year non-English majors from X university and the course book used was New Horizon College English: Reading and Writing(3 rd edition). SLA theories involved include Input Hypothesis, Noticing Hypothesis and Comprehensible Output Hypothesis; teaching methodologies applied include Grammar-Translation Method,Communicative Language Teaching and Task Based Language Teaching(TBLT). After a semester-long teaching practice, the present reflection was completed after a deep discussion with the teacher. 学者们往往将方苞所谓文章义法等同于经学义例、书法或史法,此观点值得商榷。义例、史法对文章文法的发展都有不同程度的影响,它们都重视大义的书写,也影响到义法说对文章大义指向的重视以及将义与法密切关联的主张。不过,经学大义或史... 学者们往往将方苞所谓文章义法等同于经学义例、书法或史法,此观点值得商榷。义例、史法对文章文法的发展都有不同程度的影响,它们都重视大义的书写,也影响到义法说对文章大义指向的重视以及将义与法密切关联的主张。不过,经学大义或史学大义在某种程度上是学者共同认可或遵守的价值观念,而文章大义则往往体现作家个人的学养、精神等等。义例、史法、文章义法也都关注文章写作之“法”,都会考虑书与不书或材料的取舍等问题,但在“法”的内涵和指向上又有明显区别。经学家对书法的分析主要体现在文章字句上,即所谓“一字褒贬”,史法的根本在于对体例的把握;《史通》开启了叙事文法的总结,明人以此为基础,通过《左传》《史记》等的评点使叙事的篇章之法得到充分认识和发展;方苞义法说的提出又以明人为基础,简化明代以来层出不穷的炫目、奇妙之法,主张法的运用随义而变化,更关注最基本的篇章法则,确立了清代文章学的基本走向。 展开更多

论扬雄儒者身份认同下的辞赋书写与赋论成就

特定的时代背景、思想环境和个人经历造成了扬雄对儒家思想的接受,他推崇儒家代表人物孔孟,认同儒家观念和儒家经典,同时捍卫孔子儒学思想纯洁性,以一名儒者的身份自居。在儒者身份的自我认同下,赋家扬雄在辞赋书写与赋论成就方面表现... 特定的时代背景、思想环境和个人经历造成了扬雄对儒家思想的接受,他推崇儒家代表人物孔孟,认同儒家观念和儒家经典,同时捍卫孔子儒学思想纯洁性,以一名儒者的身份自居。在儒者身份的自我认同下,赋家扬雄在辞赋书写与赋论成就方面表现出浓厚的儒家色彩。赋作方面,在儒家经世思想影响下,扬雄辞赋创作体现出以赋入仕、以赋纳谏的目的;同时继承儒家美刺传统,采用修饰文辞、婉转达意的创作方法;将儒家明哲保身、重视民生的观念纳入创作内容;晚年又因赋不能“用”而“悔赋”。赋论方面,在儒家重文观、中庸观、诗怨观的影响下,扬雄最早认识到了赋文体“丽”的审美本质,率先将“则”作为辞赋的分类标准,创新建构了赋文体“讽谏”的实际功能,在中国赋论史上具有重要的地位。 展开更多
