One of the most important reasons for the serious damage of embankment dams is their impermissible settlement.Therefore,it can be stated that the prediction of settlement of a dam is of paramount importance.This study...One of the most important reasons for the serious damage of embankment dams is their impermissible settlement.Therefore,it can be stated that the prediction of settlement of a dam is of paramount importance.This study aims to apply intelligent methods to predict settlement after constructing central core rockfill dams.Attempts were made in this research to prepare models for predicting settlement of these dams using the information of 35 different central core rockfill dams all over the world and Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Interface System(ANFIS) and Gene Expression Programming(GEP) methods.Parameters such as height of dam(H) and compressibility index(Ci) were considered as the input parameters.Finally,a form was designed using visual basic software for predicting dam settlement.With respect to the accuracy of the results obtained from the intelligent methods,they can be recommended for predicting settlement after constructing central core rockfill dams for the future plans.展开更多
Color has an intuitive expression of the material world,and is often used by creators of animated films in the narrative process of the film to express a creator’s subjective feelings.Color narration is a special men...Color has an intuitive expression of the material world,and is often used by creators of animated films in the narrative process of the film to express a creator’s subjective feelings.Color narration is a special mental imagination activity.It mainly refers to human beings perceiving colors in the external environment,and judging by their own rich life experience,and finally achieving a comprehensive cognition of external things.The animated film Ne Zha has attracted the attention of the audience since its release.That is because the film uses color narration ingeniously to innovate traditional stories and familiar characters,it displays the story through shocking visual expression,so that the audience can feel the influence of traditional culture while understanding the story,reflecting the unique artistic charm of color narration.This paper analyzes three aspects of color narration in showing the binary oppositions of goodness and evil,portraying vivid characters,promoting the development of narration,and highlighting the tension of the film,and fully expounds the importance of color narration in animated films.展开更多
User experience is understood in so many ways,like a one on one interaction(subjective views),online surveys and questionnaires.This is simply so get the user’s implicit response,this paper demonstrates the underlyin...User experience is understood in so many ways,like a one on one interaction(subjective views),online surveys and questionnaires.This is simply so get the user’s implicit response,this paper demonstrates the underlying user emotion on a particular interface such as the webpage visual content based on the context of familiarisation to convey users’emotion on the interface using emoji,we integrated physiological readings and eye movement behaviour to convey user emotion on the visual centre field of a web interface.The physiological reading is synchronised with the eye tracker to obtain correlating user interaction,and emoticons are used as a form of emotion conveyance on the interface.The eye movement prediction is obtained through a control system’s loop and is represented by different color display of gaze points(GT)that detects a particular user’s emotion on the webpage interface.These are interpreted by the emoticons.Result shows synchronised readings which correlates to area of interests(AOI)of the webpage and user emotion.These are prototypical instances of authentic user response execution for a computer interface and to easily identify user response without user subjective response for better and easy design decisions.展开更多

The actual measured glo...This paper aims to propose monthly models responsible for the theoretical evaluation of the global horizontal irradiance of a tropical region in India which is Sivagangai situated in Tamilnadu. The actual measured global horizontal irradiance hails from a 5 MW solar power plant station located at Sivagangai in Tamilnadu. The data were monitored from May 2011 to April 2013. The theoretical assessment was conducted differently by employing a programming platform called Microsoft Visual Basic 2010 Express. A graphical user interface was created using Visual Basic 2010 Express, which provided the evaluation of empirical parameters for model formulation such as daily sunshine duration （5）, maximum possible sunshine hour duration （S0）, extra terrestrial horizontal global irradiance （H0） and extra terrestrial direct normal irradiance （G0）. The proposed regression models were validated by the significance of statistical indicators such as mean bias error, root mean square error and mean percentage error from the predicted and the actual values for the region considered. Comparison was made between the proposed monthly models and the existing normalized models for global horizontal irradiance evaluation.展开更多
