Background and Objectives:Microneedling has been introduced as a new technique to address the growing concern of facial skin photoaging.Kangfuxin liquid has been found to promote the process of skin wound repair,inclu...Background and Objectives:Microneedling has been introduced as a new technique to address the growing concern of facial skin photoaging.Kangfuxin liquid has been found to promote the process of skin wound repair,including reducing inflammatory response,improving immunity and enhancing antioxidant levels.In this prospective randomized double-blinded study,we wanted to explore the clinical efficacy and safety of Kangfuxin liquid combined with microneedling in treating facial skin photoaging.Methods:57 patients with facial skin photoaging were randomly divided into two groups.The treatment group(28 cases)received microneedle therapy with Kangfuxin liquid,while the control group(29 cases)received microneedle therapy with physiological saline.The treatment interval was 4 weeks,and a total of 3 treatments were performed.Compare the VISIA scores of facial photoaging features such as wrinkles,texture,pores,spots and ultraviolet pigmentation between two groups of patients before and after treatment,Global Score for Photoaging,satisfaction evaluation,and record the occurrence of adverse reactions.Results:After treatment,the treatment group showed more significant improvement in wrinkles,texture,pores,spots and ultraviolet pigmentation,and the Global Score for Photoaging was better than the control group(P<0.05).The satisfaction rate with improving skin in the treatment group was 85.71%,which was higher than 75.86%in the control group(P<0.05).Both groups did not experience adverse reactions such as skin infection,pigmentation or hypopigmentation,scar formation,or worsening of melasma.Conclusion:Kangfuxin liquid combined with microneedling therapy has a good improvement effect on facial skin photoaging,with a low incidence of adverse reactions and high patient satisfaction.It is worthy of clinical promotion.展开更多

Sulci cutis connecting to follicular orifices frequently form perifollicular cracks, which join together adjacent sulci. This follicle-sulcus-crack complex (FSCC) is exacerbated by dehydration. Purpose: Although dehydration is associated with facial skin aging, FSCC’s implications in facial skin aging remain unresolved. Method: We measured facial skin parameters in 1999 and 2010 in 108 Japanese women, and in 2006 and 2016 in 182 Chinese women. We addressed whether expansion of FSCC is associated with other skin aging parameters. We also examined whether skin moisturizer can reverse the expanded FSCC. Results: In both clinical studies, FSCC severity as well as wrinkles, spots, and roughness significantly deteriorated with age. Notably, FSCC significantly increased as early as in subjects in their 20s, whereas wrinkles, spots, and roughness became conspicuous in those in their 40s or older. Moreover, subjects with more severe FSCC in the initial measurement exhibited significantly worse wrinkles, spots, and roughness in the second measurement a decade later. Dehydration was significantly correlated with expanded FSCC. Furthermore, FSCC expansion was reversed after appropriate moisturization by daily application of Galactomyces ferment filtrate (GFF)-containing skincare product (SK-II Skin Power Cream) for 4 weeks in 37 women. Aims: The purpose of the study was to determine the receptiveness of objective and self-perceived facial skin status using whitening cosmetic products. Methods: A total of 40 volunteers were photographed using the Visia<sup>?</sup> machine and completed questionnaires at pre- and post-operation (8 weeks after receiving whitening cosmetic products). Visia<sup>?</sup> digital image analysis and questionnaires were used for assessment of facial skin status. The receptiveness of objective and self-perceived measures was assessed by paired t test and Effect Size (ES). Results: There were progresses with regard to the surface spot (ES = 0.22), wrinkles (ES = 0.24), texture (ES = 0.31) and pores (ES = 0.21) after using cosmetic products with tranexamic acid. For self-perceived measures, there were significant progresses in pigmented spots (ES = 0.75), rough complexion (ES = 0.76), red complexion (ES = 0.41), wrinkle (ES = 0.58) and obvious pores (ES = 0.75). Conclusions: This study suggests that the whitening cosmetic products are associated with improvement of objective and self-perceived facial skin status. This paper has provided references for the evaluation of men’s facial skin cleanness and efficacy through the research on the cleanness of a men’s facial cleanser,the oil-controlling,moisturizing and brightening eff...This paper has provided references for the evaluation of men’s facial skin cleanness and efficacy through the research on the cleanness of a men’s facial cleanser,the oil-controlling,moisturizing and brightening effects of a men’s skin lotion,and the people’s usage experience.The results showed that the skin grease and the liquid foundation could be effectively cleaned after using a facial cleanser.After using the lotion for 2 weeks,the oil content was significantly different from that before and in the blank group,showing a rapid oil control effect.Excellent moisturizing effect could last until 4 weeks.There was a significant difference in the change value of skin transdermal water loss rate,indicating that the skin barrier was improved to some extent.There was remarkable effect of skin glossiness after 4 weeks of continual use compared with the blank group.The subjects’overall satisfaction with the skin after using the lotion was 86.7%through self-assessment.展开更多

Recent advances in coherence tomography have also revealed that skin aging affects in vivo epidermal keratinocyte architecture. However, the interconnectivity between spatial architectural aging and visual/physiological aging parameters remains largely unknown. Purpose: To elucidate whether the tomographic keratinocyte architectural aging is correlated with visual and physiological skin aging parameters and to quantitatively evaluate the improvements of the architectural, visual, and physiological aging parameters by the daily treatment of the skin care formula containing Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate (GFF, 8X Pitera<sup>TM</sup>). Method: We measured the in vivo keratinocyte cellular architecture with two-photon stereoscopic tomography obtaining by-layer epidermal section images in 78 Asian females of various ages. Visual aging parameters were analyzed using a portable image capture system. Hydration and TEWL were also assessed. The anti-aging effects of GFF-containing skin moisturizer (SK-II LXP Cream<sup>TM</sup>) were also examined in two studies after twice-daily application for 2 (N = 35) and 4 (N = 32) weeks. Results: As for the keratinocyte cellular architecture, skin aging was significantly associated with decreased cell density and increased cell uniformity. These architectural aging parameters were significantly correlated with visual and physiological aging parameters, namely, rough texture, wrinkles, pore dilation, dull skin tone, dehydration, and increased TEWL. The strong interconnectivity allowed us to develop formulae to estimate the keratinocyte architecture from visual aging parameters. Moreover, twice-daily application of SK-II significantly improved the keratinocyte architecture associated with multiple skin aging visual and physiological parameters. Conclusion: Skin aging is a process involving mutual interconnections among epidermal keratinocyte cellular architecture, visual, and physiological parameters. The GFF-containing moisturizer SK-II effectively improves spatial architecture of keratinocytes in epidermis and these evaluated skin aging parameters in a new trajectory over the course of treatment. .展开更多
To evaluate the efficacy of online learning and explore the impact of long-term use of electronic products on facial skin as well as eyes.A cross-sectional survey was conducted to 180 sophomores in Xi′an Jiaotong Uni...To evaluate the efficacy of online learning and explore the impact of long-term use of electronic products on facial skin as well as eyes.A cross-sectional survey was conducted to 180 sophomores in Xi′an Jiaotong University by cluster random sampling from September to October 2021.The questionnaire covering study condition,skin lesion and Ocular Surface Disease Index.χ_(2) test was used to compare the facial skin condition among different groups,and spearman correlation test was used to test the correlation of rank data.During online education,students′learning pressure is reduced,their autonomy is improved,and the learning efficiency is reduced.There were differences in the incidence of facial itching and papules among different groups.Duration of use of electronic products was positively correlated with the facial itching,with an r value of 0.231(P<0.05);the proportion of pigmentation in non-blue light protection groups(12.8%)was higher than that in blue light protection groups(1.7%),the difference was statistically significant(χ_(2)=8.384,P<0.05).The prevalence of dry eye among college students is 66.7%,and the proportion of moderate to severe dry eye is 34.5%.The study autonomy has been improved during online teaching.Long-term use of electronic products and no blue light protection have an impact on facial skin.Students should enhance the knowledge of skin-care and eye-care and develop better habits.展开更多

To treat large facial defect (more than 6 cm×4 cm in diameter ) or a wound with bone exposure to atmosphere by less traumatic, easier healing reconstruction method, a pedicle flap including facial, neck, poster...To treat large facial defect (more than 6 cm×4 cm in diameter ) or a wound with bone exposure to atmosphere by less traumatic, easier healing reconstruction method, a pedicle flap including facial, neck, posterior auricle and occipital skin flap was designed and transferred, one by one, to repair facial defect as well as other flap donor sites, but occipital skin flap was only used to cover posterior auricle area. After 2-3 years follow up, well healed skin flaps with good color, elasticity and sensation were observed in all 16 patients. It is concluded that this method is effective and practical.展开更多

ALA is the subject of research in a wide range of human health care fields, including skin care and medicine. This study investigated whether and to what extent cosmetics containing ALA (skin lotions and creams) improved facial-skin condition in women. As such, a double-blind controlled experiment was conducted among 45 women aged 47.0 ± 1.72 years. Participants were divided into two intervention groups, including those who used cosmetics containing ALA (C-ALA, n = 22) and those who used cosmetics without ALA (W-ALA, n = 23). Specifically, participants were instructed to use their assigned cosmetics twice per day (morning and evening) after washing their faces before each application. Inner skin condition and skin-water content were evaluated via VISIA-Evolution and Multi Display Devices at baseline and after four and eight weeks of use. The experiment lasted for a total of eight weeks. A baseline comparison at week four showed that skin moisture content increased significantly for the C-ALA group (p = 0.021). Further, wrinkling significantly decreased at week four among participants in the C-ALA group who were evaluated as having many wrinkles at baseline (p = 0.034). These findings suggest that cosmetics containing ALA have moisturizing effects and reduce wrinkling caused by dryness.展开更多

文摘目的:探讨含龙胆草提取物的液体敷料联合依巴斯汀治疗面部敏感性皮肤的疗效及其对皮肤生理功能的影响。方法:按照随机数字表法将2021年10月-2022年12月笔者医院收治的90例面部敏感性皮肤患者分为对照组与观察组,每组45例。对照组使用依巴斯汀治疗,观察组使用含龙胆草提取物的液体敷料联合依巴斯汀治疗,均连续治疗4周。比较两组的疗效,乳酸刺激试验指标,皮肤生理功能指标[经皮水分丢失量(Transepidermal water loss,TEWL)、皮脂含量、角质层含水量、皮肤pH值]及不良反应。结果:治疗结束后,观察组的总有效率(93.33%vs 71.11%)明显高于对照组(P<0.05);两组乳酸刺激试验指标,皮肤生理功能指标均治疗前明显改善(P<0.05);观察组乳酸刺痛评分明显低于对照组(P<0.05),乳酸刺痛感开始时间明显长于对照组(P<0.05);观察组TEWL、皮肤pH值明显低于对照组(P<0.05),皮脂含量、角质层含水量明显高于对照组(P<0.05)。两组均无严重不良反应发生。结论:含龙胆草提取物的液体敷料联合依巴斯汀能明显提高面部敏感性皮肤的临床疗效,明显改善皮肤生理功能及耐受性,安全性好。
文摘5-Aminolevulinic acid (ALA) is a natural amino acid that is used as a raw material for the biosynthesis of red-blood-cell hemoglobin in humans and animals. ALA is the subject of research in a wide range of human health care fields, including skin care and medicine. This study investigated whether and to what extent cosmetics containing ALA (skin lotions and creams) improved facial-skin condition in women. As such, a double-blind controlled experiment was conducted among 45 women aged 47.0 ± 1.72 years. Participants were divided into two intervention groups, including those who used cosmetics containing ALA (C-ALA, n = 22) and those who used cosmetics without ALA (W-ALA, n = 23). Specifically, participants were instructed to use their assigned cosmetics twice per day (morning and evening) after washing their faces before each application. Inner skin condition and skin-water content were evaluated via VISIA-Evolution and Multi Display Devices at baseline and after four and eight weeks of use. The experiment lasted for a total of eight weeks. A baseline comparison at week four showed that skin moisture content increased significantly for the C-ALA group (p = 0.021). Further, wrinkling significantly decreased at week four among participants in the C-ALA group who were evaluated as having many wrinkles at baseline (p = 0.034). These findings suggest that cosmetics containing ALA have moisturizing effects and reduce wrinkling caused by dryness.
