We also make a comparison of the fairness among different types of networked games with olfactory and haptic senses in the assessment. Then, we clarify the differences owing to usage of olfactory and haptic senses among the games. As a result, we illustrate that the fairness is largely affected by the delay difference, and we also demonstrate that the allowable range depends on the type of games, type of senses which are employed in the games, and the play methods.展开更多

In the game, two players try to identify objects which are placed in a shared 3D virtual space. In the assessment, we carry out the game in four cases. Smells and sounds are presented in the first case, only sounds are done in the second case, and only smells are done in the third case. In the last case, we present neither smell nor sound. As a result, we demonstrate that the fairness deteriorates more largely as the difference in conditions between two users becomes larger.展开更多

Fairness of such protocols in literature highly depends on an additional TTP(trusted third party). However, it is difficult to find such a TTP in some situations. In addition, fairness for customers has been neither fully considered nor well satisfied in existing electronic purchasing protocols. In this paper, a new protocol FEP (fair electronic purchase) without a special TTP but an online bank is presented based on a concurrent digital signature scheme. The FEP protocol guarantees fair electronic purchase of goods via electronic payment between consumers, merchants and their online banks. The protocol is practical and the analysis based on the game logics shows that it achieves the properties of viability, fairness, and timeliness.展开更多

The indirect involvement in the unethical behavior such as the violation of regulation is believed to lessen the responsibility and the criticism from others for the unethical behavior as compared to the direct involvement in it. The instruction condition for the evaluator of behavior in a dictator game was taken up as an experimental variable. Instruction condition 1 was to pay attention to the behavior of only a dictator. In instruction condition 2, the participant (evaluator) was required to review all players’ behavior and evaluate a dictator. It has been investigated whether allowing indirect actions (mediations) leads to reduced punishment as a function of the instruction condition. While the punishment to the indirectness did not get smaller for instruction condition 2, the punishment to the indirectness tended to get smaller only for instruction condition 1.展开更多
