In this paper, the research methodology includes theoretical analyses, numerical simulations and field experiments in the context of the Daqiang coal mine located in Shenyang, China. The stability control countermeasure of "pre-splitting cutting roof + NPR anchor cable"(PSCR-NPR) is simultaneously proposed. According to the different deformation characteristics of the roadway, the faults are innovatively classified into three types, with α of type I being 0°-30°, α of type II being 30°-60°, and α of type III being 60°-90°. The full-cycle stress evolution paths during mining roadway traverses across different types of faults are investigated by numerical simulation. Different pinch angles α lead to high stress concentration areas at different locations in the surrounding rock. The non-uniform stress field formed in the shallow surrounding rock is an important reason for the instability of the roadway. The pre-cracked cut top shifted the high stress region to the deep rock mass and formed a low stress region in the shallow rock mass. The high prestressing NPR anchor cable transforms the non-uniform stress field of the shallow surrounding rock into a uniform stress field. PSCR-NPR is applied in the fault-through roadway of Daqiang mine. The low stress area of the surrounding rock was enlarged by 3-7 times, and the cumulative convergence was reduced by 45%-50%. It provides a reference for the stability control of the deep fault-through mining roadway.展开更多

Therefore, flush air data sensing(FADS) system has been developed to perform accurate measurement of the air data parameters. In the present study, the method to develop the FADS algorithms with fail-operational capability for a sharp-nosed hypersonic vehicle is provided. To be specific, the FADS system implemented with 16 airframe-integrated pressure ports is used as a case study. Numerical simulations of different freestream conditions have been conducted to generate the database for the FADS targeting in 2 ≤ Ma ≤ 5 and 0 km ≤ H ≤ 30 km. Four groups of neural network algorithms have been developed based on four different pressure port configurations, and the accuracy has been validated by 280 groups of simulations. Particularly, the algorithms based on the 16-port configuration show an excellent ability to serve as the main solver of the FADS, where 99. 5% of the angle-of-attack estimations are within the error band ±0. 2°. The accuracy of the algorithms is discussed in terms of port configuration. Furthermore, diagnosis of the system health is present in the paper. A fault-tolerant FADS system architecture has been designed, which is capable of continuously sensing the air data in the case that multi-port failure occurs, with a reduction in the system accuracy.展开更多

文摘In signal processing and communication systems, digital filters are widely employed. In some circumstances, the reliability of those systems is crucial, necessitating the use of fault tolerant filter implementations. Many strategies have been presented throughout the years to achieve fault tolerance by utilising the structure and properties of the filters. As technology advances, more complicated systems with several filters become possible. Some of the filters in those complicated systems frequently function in parallel, for example,by applying the same filter to various input signals.Recently,a simple strategy for achieving fault tolerance that takes advantage of the availability of parallel filters was given. Many fault-tolerant ways that take advantage of the filter’s structure and properties have been proposed throughout the years. The primary idea is to use structured authentication scan chains to study the internal states of finite impulse response(FIR)components in order to detect and recover the exact state of faulty modules through the state of non-faulty modules. Finally,a simple solution of Double modular redundancy(DMR)based fault tolerance was developed that takes advantage of the availability of parallel filters for image denoising. This approach is expanded in this short to display how parallel filters can be protected using error correction codes(ECCs)in which each filter is comparable to a bit in a standard ECC.“Advanced error recovery for parallel systems,”the suggested technique, can find and eliminate hidden defects in FIR modules, and also restore the system from multiple failures impacting two FIR modules. From the implementation,Xilinx ISE 14.7 was found to have given significant error reduction capability in the fault calculations and reduction in the area which reduces the cost of implementation.Faults were introduced in all the outputs of the functional filters and found that the fault in every output is corrected.
文摘In cloud computing(CC),resources are allocated and offered to the cli-ents transparently in an on-demand way.Failures can happen in CC environment and the cloud resources are adaptable tofluctuations in the performance delivery.Task execution failure becomes common in the CC environment.Therefore,fault-tolerant scheduling techniques in CC environment are essential for handling performance differences, resourcefluxes, and failures.Recently, several intelli-gent scheduling approaches have been developed for scheduling tasks in CC with no consideration of fault tolerant characteristics. With this motivation, this study focuses on the design of Gorilla Troops Optimizer Based Fault Tolerant Aware Scheduling Scheme(GTO-FTASS)in CC environment. The proposed GTO-FTASS model aims to schedule the tasks and allocate resources by considering fault tolerance into account. The GTO-FTASS algorithm is based on the social intelligence nature of gorilla troops.Besides, the GTO-FTASS model derives afitness function involving two parameters such as expected time of completion(ETC)and failure probability of executing a task.In addition, the presented fault detector can trace the failed tasks or VMs and then schedule heal submodule in sequence with a remedial or retrieval scheduling model. The experimental vali-dation of the GTO-FTASS model has been performed and the results are inspected under several aspects.Extensive comparative analysis reported the better outcomes of the GTO-FTASS model over the recent approaches.

文摘High-performance ion-conducting hydrogels(ICHs)are vital for developing flexible electronic devices. However, the robustness and ion-conducting behavior of ICHs deteriorate at extreme tempera-tures,hampering their use in soft electronics. To resolve these issues,a method involving freeze–thawing and ionizing radiation technology is reported herein for synthesizing a novel double-network(DN)ICH based on a poly(ionic liquid)/MXene/poly(vinyl alcohol)(PMP DN ICH)system. The well-designed ICH exhibits outstanding ionic conductivity(63.89 mS cm^(-1) at 25℃),excellent temperature resistance(-60–80℃),prolonged stability(30 d at ambient temperature),high oxidation resist-ance,remarkable antibacterial activity, decent mechanical performance, and adhesion.Additionally, the ICH performs effectively in a flexible wireless strain sensor, thermal sensor,all-solid-state supercapacitor, and single-electrode triboelectric nanogenerator, thereby highlighting its viability in constructing soft electronic devices. The highly integrated gel structure endows these flexible electronic devices with stable, reliable signal output performance. In particular, the all-solid-state supercapacitor containing the PMP DN ICH electrolyte exhibits a high areal specific capacitance of 253.38 mF cm^(-2)(current density,1 mA cm^(-2))and excellent environmental adaptability. This study paves the way for the design and fabrication of high-performance mul-tifunctional/flexible ICHs for wearable sensing,energy-storage,and energy-harvesting applications.

文摘On August 6,2023,a magnitude MW5.5 earthquake struck Pingyuan County,Dezhou City,Shandong Province,China. This event was significant as no large earthquakes had been recorded in the region for over a century, and no active fault had been previously identified. This study collects 1309 P-wave arrival times and 866 S-wave arrival times from 74 seismic stations less than 200 km to the epicenter to constrain the spatial distribution of the mainshock and its 125 early aftershocks by the double difference earthquake relocation method, and selects 864 P-waveforms from 288 stations located within 800 km of the epicenter to constrain the focal mechanism solution of the mainshock through centroid moment tensor inversion. The relocation and the inversion indicate, the Pingyuan MW5.5 earthquake was caused by a rupture on a buried fault, likely an extensive segment of the Gaotang fault. This buried fault exhibited a dip of approximately 75°to the northwest, with a strike of 222°,similar to the Gaotang fault. The rupture initiated at the depth of 18.6 km and propagated upward and northeastward. However, the ground surface was not broken. The total duration of the rupture was~6.0 s,releasing the scalar moment of 2.5895×1017 N·m,equivalent to MW5.54.The moment rate reached the maximum only 1.4 seconds after the rupture initiation, and the 90%scalar moment was released in the first 4.6 s.In the first 1.4 seconds of the rupture process, the rupture velocity was estimated to be 2.6 km/s,slower than the local S-wave velocity. As the rupture neared its end,the rupture velocity decreased significantly. This study provides valuable insights into the seismic characteristics of the Pingyuan MW5.5 earthquake, shedding light on the previously unidentified buried fault responsible for the seismic activity in the region.Understanding the behavior of such faults is crucial for assessing seismic hazards and enhancing earthquake preparedness in the future.

文摘The angle α between the fault strike and the axial direction of the roadway produces different damage characteristics. It provides a reference for the stability control of the deep fault-through mining roadway.

文摘The reliable operation of high-speed wire rod finishing mills is crucial in the steel production enterprise. As complex system-level equipment,it is difficult for high-speed wire rod finishing mills to realize fault location and real-time monitoring. To solve the above problems,an expert experience and data-driven-based hybrid fault diagnosis method for high-speed wire rod finishing mills is proposed in this paper.First, based on its mechanical structure, time and frequency domain analysis are improved in fault feature extraction. The approach of combining virtual value, peak value with kurtosis value index,is adopted in time domain analysis.Speed adjustment and side frequency analysis are proposed in frequency domain analysis to obtain accurate component characteristic frequency and its corresponding sideband. Then, according to time and frequency domain characteristics, fault location based on expert experience is proposed to get an accurate fault result. Finally, the proposed method is implemented in the equipment intelligent diagnosis system.By taking an equipment fault on site, for example, the effectiveness of the proposed method is illustrated in the system.

文摘OpticalMark Recognition(OMR)systems have been studied since 1970.It is widely accepted as a data entry technique.OMR technology is used for surveys and multiple-choice questionnaires.Due to its ease of use,OMR technology has grown in popularity over the past two decades and is widely used in universities and colleges to automatically grade and grade student responses to questionnaires. The accuracy of OMR systems is very important due to the environment inwhich they are used.TheOMRalgorithm relies on pixel projection or Hough transform to determine the exact answer in the document. These techniques rely on majority voting to approximate a predetermined shape. The performance of these systems depends on precise input from dedicated hardware.Printing and scanning OMR tables introduces artifacts that make table processing error-prone.This observation is a fundamental limitation of traditional pixel projection and Hough transform techniques.Depending on the type of artifact introduced, accuracy is affected differently. We classified the types of errors and their frequency according to the artifacts in the OMR system. As a major contribution,we propose an improved algorithm that fixes errors due to skewness. Our proposal is based on the Hough transform for improving the accuracy of bias correction mechanisms in OMR documents. As a minor contribution, our proposal also improves the accuracy of detecting markers in OMR documents. The results show an improvement in accuracy over existing algorithms in each of the identified problems. This improvement increases confidence in OMR document processing and increases efficiency when using automated OMR document processing.

文摘The success of deep transfer learning in fault diagnosis is attributed to the collection of high-quality labeled data from the source domain. However,in engineering scenarios, achieving such high-quality label annotation is difficult and expensive. The incorrect label annotation produces two negative effects:1)the complex decision boundary of diagnosis models lowers the generalization performance on the target domain,and2)the distribution of target domain samples becomes misaligned with the false-labeled samples. To overcome these negative effects, this article proposes a solution called the label recovery and trajectory designable network(LRTDN).LRTDN consists of three parts.First,a residual network with dual classifiers is to learn features from cross-domain samples.Second,an annotation check module is constructed to generate a label anomaly indicator that could modify the abnormal labels of false-labeled samples in the source domain. With the training of relabeled samples, the complexity of diagnosis model is reduced via semi-supervised learning.Third, the adaptation trajectories are designed for sample distributions across domains. This ensures that the target domain samples are only adapted with the pure-labeled samples. The LRTDN is verified by two case studies,in which the diagnosis knowledge of bearings is transferred across different working conditions as well as different yet related machines. The results show that LRTDN offers a high diagnosis accuracy even in the presence of incorrect annotation.
文摘Hypersonic vehicles suffer from extreme aerodynamic heating during flights, especially around the area of leading edge due to its small curvature. A fault-tolerant FADS system architecture has been designed, which is capable of continuously sensing the air data in the case that multi-port failure occurs, with a reduction in the system accuracy.

文摘In 2023,two consecutive earthquakes exceeding a magnitude of 7 occurred in Türkiye, causing severe casualties and economic losses. The damage to critical urban infrastructure and building structures, including highways, railroads, and water supply pipelines, was particularly severe in areas where these structures intersected the seismogenic fault.Critical infrastructure projects that traverse active faults are susceptible to the influence of fault movement, pulse velocity, and ground motions. In this study,we used a unique approach to analyze the acceleration records obtained from the seismic station array(9 strong ground motion stations)located along the East Anatolian Fault(the seismogenic fault of the MW7.8 mainshock of the 2023 Türkiye earthquake doublet). The acceleration records were filtered and integrated to obtain the velocity and displacement time histories. We used the results of an on-site investigation, jointly conducted by China Earthquake Administration and Türkiye’s AFAD,to analyze the distribution of PGA,PGV,and PGD recorded by the strong motion array of the East Anatolian Fault. We found that the maximum horizontal PGA in this earthquake was 3.0 g,and the maximum co-seismic surface displacement caused by the East Anatolian Fault rupture was 6.50 m.As the fault rupture propagated southwest, the velocity pulse caused by the directional effect of the rupture increased gradually, with the maximum PGA reaching 162.3 cm/s.We also discussed the seismic safety of critical infrastructure projects traversing active faults, using two case studies of water supply pipelines in Türkiye that were damaged by earthquakes. We used a three-dimensional finite element model of the PE(polyethylene)water pipeline at the Islahiye State Hospital and fault displacement observations obtained through on-site investigation to analyze pipeline failure mechanisms. We further investigated the effect of the fault-crossing angle on seismic safety of a pipeline, based on our analysis and the failure performance of the large-diameter Thames Water pipeline during the 1999 Kocaeli earthquake. The seismic method of buried pipelines crossing the fault was summarized.

文摘Many locations with concentrated hydrates at vents have confirmed the presence of abundant thermogenic gas in the middle of the Qiongdongnan Basin(QDNB).However, the impact of deep structures on gasbearing fluids migration and gas hydrates distribution in tectonically inactive regions is still unclear. In this study, the authors apply high-resolution 3D seismic and logging while drilling(LWD)data from the middle of the QDNB to investigate the influence of deep-large faults on gas chimneys and preferred gasescape pipes. The findings reveal the following:(1)Two significant deep-large faults,F1 and F2,developed on the edge of the Songnan Low Uplift, control the dominant migration of thermogenic hydrocarbons and determine the initial locations of gas chimneys.(2)The formation of gas chimneys is likely related to fault activation and reactivation.Gas chimney 1 is primarily arises from convergent fluid migration resulting from the intersection of the two faults, while the gas chimney 2 benefits from a steeper fault plane and shorter migration distance of fault F2.(3)Most gas-escape pipes are situated near the apex of the two faults.Their reactivations facilitate free gas flow into the GHSZ and contribute to the formation of fracture‐filling hydrates.

文摘This paper investigates the path-following control problem with obstacle avoidance of autonomous surface vehicles in the presence of actuator faults, uncertainty and external disturbances.Autonomous surface vehicles inevitably suffer from actuator faults in complex sea environments, which may cause existing obstacle avoidance strategies to fail.To reduce the influence of actuator faults,an improved artificial potential function is constructed by introducing the lower bound of actuator efficiency factors. The nonlinear state observer, which only depends on measurable position information of the autonomous surface vehicle,is used to address uncertainties and external disturbances.By using a backstepping technique and adaptive mechanism,a path-following control strategy with obstacle avoidance and fault tolerance is designed which can ensure that the tracking errors converge to a small neighborhood of zero.Compared with existing results, the proposed control strategy has the capability of obstacle avoidance and fault tolerance simultaneously. Finally, the comparison results through simulations are given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

文摘The tunnel subjected to strike-slip fault dislocation exhibits severe and catastrophic damage. The existing analysis models frequently assume uniform fault displacement and fixed fault plane position. In contrast,post-earthquake observations indicate that the displacement near the fault zone is typically nonuniform, and the fault plane position is uncertain. In this study,we first established a series of improved governing equations to analyze the mechanical response of tunnels under strike-slip fault dislocation. The proposed methodology incorporated key factors such as nonuniform fault displacement and uncertain fault plane position into the governing equations, thereby significantly enhancing the applicability range and accuracy of the model. In contrast to previous analytical models, the maximum computational error has decreased from 57.1%to 1.1%.Subsequently,we conducted a rigorous validation of the proposed methodology by undertaking a comparative analysis with a 3D finite element numerical model, and the results from both approaches exhibited a high degree of qualitative and quantitative agreement with a maximum error of 9.9%.Finally,the proposed methodology was utilized to perform a parametric analysis to explore the effects of various parameters, such as fault displacement, fault zone width, fault zone strength, the ratio of maximum fault displacement of the hanging wall to the footwall, and fault plane position,on the response of tunnels subjected to strike-slip fault dislocation. The findings indicate a progressive increase in the peak internal forces of the tunnel with the rise in fault displacement and fault zone strength.Conversely,an augmentation in fault zone width is found to contribute to a decrease in the peak internal forces. For example, for a fault zone width of 10 m,the peak values of bending moment, shear force, and axial force are approximately 46.9%,102.4%,and 28.7% higher, respectively, compared to those observed for a fault zone width of 50 m.Furthermore, the position of the peak internal forces is influenced by variations in the ratio of maximum fault displacement of the hanging wall to footwall and the fault plane location, while the peak values of shear force and axial force always align with the fault plane. The maximum peak internal forces are observed when the footwall exclusively bears the entirety of the fault displacement, corresponding to a ratio of 0:1.The peak values of bending moment, shear force, and axial force for the ratio of 0:1 amount to approximately 123.8%,148.6%,and 111.1% of those for the ratio of 0.5:0.5,respectively.
