The stator current serves as a common indicator for detecting open-circuit faults. Due to the identical changes of the stator current between the open-phase faults in the PMSM and failures of double switches within the same leg of the VSI, this paper utilizes the zero-sequence voltage component as an additional diagnostic criterion to differentiate them.Considering the variable conditions and substantial noise of the ARDS, a novel Multi-resolution Network(Mr Net) is proposed, which can extract multi-resolution perceptual information and enhance robustness to the noise. Meanwhile, a feature weighted layer is introduced to allocate higher weights to characteristics situated near the feature frequency. Both simulation and experiment results validate that the proposed fault diagnosis method can diagnose 25 types of open-circuit faults and achieve more than98.28% diagnostic accuracy. In addition, the experiment results also demonstrate that Mr Net has the capability of diagnosing the fault types accurately under the interference of noise signals(Laplace noise and Gaussian noise).展开更多

Increased seismicity, double-difference precise locations of earthquakes since 1968, geodetic data and fault offsets for the 1906 great shock are used to re-examine the timing and locations of possible future large earthquakes. The physical mechanisms of regional faults like the Calaveras, Hayward and Sargent, which exhibit creep, differ from those of the northern San Andreas, which is currently locked and is not creeping. Much decadal forerunning activity occurred on creeping faults. Moderate-size earthquakes along those faults became more frequent as stresses in the region increased in the latter part of the cycle of stress restoration for major and great earthquakes along the San Andreas. They may be useful for decadal forecasts. Yearly to decadal forecasts, however, are based on only a few major to great events. Activity along closer faults like that in the two years prior to the 1989 Loma Prieta shock needs to be examined for possible yearly forerunning changes to large plate boundary earthquakes. Geodetic observations are needed to focus on identifying creeping faults close to the San Andreas. The distribution of moderate-size earthquakes increased significantly since 1990 along the Hayward fault but not adjacent to the San Andreas fault to the south of San Francisco compared to what took place in the decades prior to the three major historic earthquakes in the region. It is now clear from a re-examination of the 1989 mainshock that the increased level of moderate-size shocks in the one to two preceding decades occurred on nearby East Bay faults. Double-difference locations of small earthquakes provide structural information about faults in the region, especially their depths. The northern San Andreas fault is divided into several strongly coupled segments based on differences in seismicity.展开更多

Using backstepping technique, a novel adaptive fuzzy control approach is proposed to accommodate the uncertain actuator faults during operation and deal with the external disturbances though the systems cannot be linearized by feedback. 文摘Single-phase low current grounding faults areoften seen in power distribution system of coal mines. These faults are difficult to reliably identify. We propose a new method of single-phase ground fault protection based upon a discernible matrix of the fractal dimension associated with line currents. The method builds on existing selective protection methods.Faulted feeders are distinguished using differences in the zero-sequence transient current fractal dimension. The current signals were first processed through a fast Fourier transform and then the characteristics of a faulted line were identified using a discernible matrix. The method of calculation is illustrated. The results show that the method involves simple calculations, is easy to do and is highly accurate. It is, therefore, suitable for distribution networks having different neutral grounding modes.
文摘In quartzo-feldspathic continental crust with moderate-to-high heat flow, seismic activity extends to depths of 10-20 km,bounded by isotherms in the 350-450 C range.Fluid overpressuring above hydrostatic in seismogenic crust,is heterogeneous but tends to develop in the lower seismogenic zone(basal seismogenic zone reservoir=b.s.z.reservoir) where the transition between hydrostatically pressured and overpressured crust is likely an irregular,time-dependent.3-D interface with overpressuring concentrated around active faults and their ductile shear zone roots. The term Arterial Fault is applied to fault structures that root in portions of the crust where pore fluids are overpressured(i.e.at> hydrostatic pressure) and serve as feeders for such fluids and their contained solutes into overlying parts of the crust. While arterial flow may occur on any type of fault,it is most likely to be associated with reverse faults in areas of horizontal compression where fluid overpressuring is most easily sustained.Frictional stability and flow permeability of faults are both affected by the state of stress on the fault(shear stress,τ;normal stress,σn),the level of pore-fluid pressure,Pf,and episodes of fault slip, allowing for a complex interplay between fault movement and fluid flow. For seismically active faults the time dependence of permeability is critical, leading to fault-valve behaviour whereby overpressures accumulate at depth during interseismic intervals with fluid discharged along enhanced fault-fracture permeability following each rupture event.Patterns of mineralization also suggest that flow along faults is non-uniform,concentrating along tortuous pathways within the fault surface.Equivalent hydrostatic head above ground level for near-lithostatic overpressures at depth(<1.65×depth of zone) provides a measure of arterial potential.Settings for arterial faults include fault systems developed in compacting sedimentary basins, faults penetrating zones of active plutonic intrusion that encounter overpressured fluids exsolved from magma, together with those derived from contact metamorphism of fluid-rich wallrocks,and/or from regional devolatilisation accompanying prograde metamorphism.Specially significant are active faults within accretionary prisms rooted into overpressured subduction interfaces, and steep reverse faults activated by high overpressures from b.s.z.reservoirs during compressional inversion.
文摘This paper presents a fault diagnosis method for process faults and sensor faults in a class of nonlinear uncertain systems. The fault detection and isolation architecture consists of a fault detection estimator and a bank of adaptive isolation estimators, each corresponding to a particular fault type.Adaptive thresholds for fault detection and isolation are presented.Fault detectability conditions characterizing the class of process faults and sensor faults that are detectable by the presented method are derived.A simulation example of robotic arm is used to illustrate the effectiveness of the fault diagnosis method.

文摘Component failures can cause multi-agent system(MAS)performance degradation and even disasters, which provokes the demand of the fault diagnosis method.A distributed sliding mode observer-based fault diagnosis method for MAS is developed in presence of actuator and sensor faults.Firstly, the actuator and sensor faults are extended to the system state, and the system is transformed into a descriptor system form. Then,a sliding mode-based distributed unknown input observer is proposed to estimate the extended state.Furthermore, adaptive laws are introduced to adjust the observer parameters. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated with numerical simulations.
文摘The main contribution of this paper is the design of an event-triggered formation control for leader-following consensus in second-order multi-agent systems(MASs)under communication faults. All the agents must follow the trajectories of a virtual leader despite communication faults considered as smooth time-varying delays dependent on the distance between the agents.Linear matrix inequalities(LMIs)-based conditions are obtained to synthesize a controller gain that guarantees stability of the synchronization error.Based on the closed-loop system,an event-triggered mechanism is designed to reduce the control law update and information exchange in order to reduce energy consumption. The proposed approach is implemented in a real platform of a fleet of unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)under communication faults.A comparison between a state-of-the-art technique and the proposed technique has been provided, demonstrating the performance improvement brought by the proposed approach.

文摘A model-based fault tolerant control approach for hybrid linear dynamic systems is proposed in this paper. The proposed method, taking advantage of reliable control, can maintain the performance of the faulty system during the time delay of fault detection and diagnosis (FDD) and fault accommodation (FA), which can be regarded as the first line of defence against sensor faults. Simulation results of a three-tank system with sensor fault are given to show the efficiency of the method.
文摘The first step in automatic supervision, condition monitoring and fault detection of photovoltaic system is recognition, exploration and classification of all possible faults that maybe happen in the system. This paper aims to perceive, classified, simulate and discus all electrical faults in DC side of photovoltaic system, regarding electrical voltage and current inspections. For that, simplified hybrid model of photovoltaic panel in MATLAB environment is used. Investigation and classification of each type of faults is down and the effects of the faults are illustrated in this paper. Flash test are applied to improved electrical model. Current-Voltage curves signature are interpreted and investigated in simulation environment.
文摘Based on the study of ore deposits and orebody structures of two sedimentary-exhalative ore deposits, i.e., Changba and Xitieshan Ore Deposits, it is found that the structural patterns of metallogenic basin of seafloor exhalative sulfide deposits in the ancient graben systems are controlled by relay structures in normal faults. The shapes of metallogenic basins are composed of tilting ramp, fault-tip ramp and relay ramp, which dominate migration of gravity current of ore-hosted fluid and shape of orebody sedimentary fan in the ramp. By measuring and comparing the difference of length-to-thickness ratios of orebody sedimentary fan, the result shows that the occurrence of the ramp has a remarkable impact on the shape of orebody.
文摘The accurate DC system model is the key to fault analysis and harmonic calculation of AC/DC system. In this paper, a frequency domain analysis model of DC system is established, and based on it a unified fundamental frequency and harmonic iterative calculation method is proposed. The DC system model is derived considering the dynamic switching characteristic of converter and the steady-state response features of dc control system synchronously. And the proposed harmonic calculation method fully considers the AC/DC harmonic interaction and fault interaction under AC asymmetric fault condition. The method is used to the harmonic analysis and calculation of CIGRE HVDC system. Compared with those obtained by simulation using PSCAD/EMTDC software, the results show that the proposed model and method are accurate and effective, and provides the analysis basis of harmonic suppression, filter configuration and protection analysis in AC/DC system.
