However, due to the limitations of the descriptors, the putative matches are inevitably contaminated by massive outliers. This paper attempts to tackle the outlier filtering problem from two aspects. First, a robust and efficient graph interaction model,is proposed, with the assumption that matches are correlated with each other rather than independently distributed. To this end, we construct a graph based on the local relationships of matches and formulate the outlier filtering task as a binary labeling energy minimization problem, where the pairwise term encodes the interaction between matches. We further show that this formulation can be solved globally by graph cut algorithm. Our new formulation always improves the performance of previous localitybased method without noticeable deterioration in processing time, adding a few milliseconds. Second, to construct a better graph structure, a robust and geometrically meaningful topology-aware relationship is developed to capture the topology relationship between matches. The two components in sum lead to topology interaction matching(TIM), an effective and efficient method for outlier filtering. Extensive experiments on several large and diverse datasets for multiple vision tasks including general feature matching, as well as relative pose estimation, homography and fundamental matrix estimation, loop-closure detection, and multi-modal image matching, demonstrate that our TIM is more competitive than current state-of-the-art methods, in terms of generality, efficiency, and effectiveness. 文摘Machine learning(ML)is increasingly applied for medical image processing with appropriate learning paradigms. These applications include analyzing images of various organs, such as the brain, lung, eye, etc.,to identify specific flaws/diseases for diagnosis. The primary concern of ML applications is the precise selection of flexible image features for pattern detection and region classification. Most of the extracted image features are irrelevant and lead to an increase in computation time. Therefore, this article uses an analytical learning paradigm to design a Congruent Feature Selection Method to select the most relevant image features. This process trains the learning paradigm using similarity and correlation-based features over different textural intensities and pixel distributions. The similarity between the pixels over the various distribution patterns with high indexes is recommended for disease diagnosis.Later, the correlation based on intensity and distribution is analyzed to improve the feature selection congruency. Therefore, the more congruent pixels are sorted in the descending order of the selection, which identifies better regions than the distribution. Now,the learning paradigm is trained using intensity and region-based similarity to maximize the chances of selection. Therefore, the probability of feature selection, regardless of the textures and medical image patterns,is improved. This process enhances the performance of ML applications for different medical image processing. The proposed method improves the accuracy, precision, and training rate by 13.19%,10.69%,and 11.06%,respectively,compared to other models for the selected dataset. The mean error and selection time is also reduced by 12.56%and 13.56%,respectively,compared to the same models and dataset.

文摘Numerical weather prediction(NWP)models have always presented large forecasting errors of surface wind speeds over regions with complex terrain. In this study, surface wind forecasts from an operational NWP model, the SMS-WARR(Shanghai Meteorological Service-WRF ADAS Rapid Refresh System),are analyzed to quantitatively reveal the relationships between the forecasted surface wind speed errors and terrain features, with the intent of providing clues to better apply the NWP model to complex terrain regions. The terrain features are described by three parameters:the standard deviation of the model grid-scale orography, terrain height error of the model, and slope angle. The results show that the forecast bias has a unimodal distribution with a change in the standard deviation of orography. The minimum ME(the mean value of bias)is 1.2 m s^(-1) when the standard deviation is between 60 and 70 m.A positive correlation exists between bias and terrain height error, with the ME increasing by 10%−30%for every 200 m increase in terrain height error. The ME decreases by 65.6%when slope angle increases from(0.5°−1.5°)to larger than 3.5°for uphill winds but increases by 35.4%when the absolute value of slope angle increases from(0.5°−1.5°)to(2.5°−3.5°)for downhill winds.Several sensitivity experiments are carried out with a model output statistical(MOS)calibration model for surface wind speeds and ME(RMSE)has been reduced by 90%(30%)by introducing terrain parameters, demonstrating the value of this study.

文摘To investigate the mechanisms underlying the onset and progression of ischemic stroke, some methods have been proposed that can simultaneously monitor and create embolisms in the animal cerebral cortex. However, these methods often require complex systems and the effect of age on cerebral embolism has not been adequately studied, although ischemic stroke is strongly age-related.In this study,we propose an optical-resolution photoacoustic microscopy-based visualized photothrombosis methodology to create and monitor ischemic stroke in mice simultaneously using a 532 nm pulsed laser. We observed the molding process in mice of different ages and presented age-dependent vascular embolism differentiation. Moreover,we integrated optical coherence tomography angiography to investigate age-associated trends in cerebrovascular variability following a stroke. Our imaging data and quantitative analyses underscore the differential cerebrovascular responses to stroke in mice of different ages, thereby highlighting the technique's potential for evaluating cerebrovascular health and unraveling age-related mechanisms involved in ischemic strokes.

文摘Background Deep 3D morphable models(deep 3DMMs)play an essential role in computer vision. They are used in facial synthesis, compression, reconstruction and animation, avatar creation, virtual try-on,facial recognition systems and medical imaging. These applications require high spatial and perceptual quality of synthesised meshes.Despite their significance, these models have not been compared with different mesh representations and evaluated jointly with point-wise distance and perceptual metrics. Methods We compare the influence of different mesh representation features to various deep 3DMMs on spatial and perceptual fidelity of the reconstructed meshes. This paper proves the hypothesis that building deep 3DMMs from meshes represented with global representations leads to lower spatial reconstruction error measured with L_(1) and L_(2) norm metrics and underperforms on perceptual metrics. In contrast, using differential mesh representations which describe differential surface properties yields lower perceptual FMPD and DAME and higher spatial fidelity error. The influence of mesh feature normalisation and standardisation is also compared and analysed from perceptual and spatial fidelity perspectives. Results The results presented in this paper provide guidance in selecting mesh representations to build deep 3DMMs accordingly to spatial and perceptual quality objectives and propose combinations of mesh representations and deep 3DMMs which improve either perceptual or spatial fidelity of existing methods.

文摘With the rapid spread of Internet information and the spread of fake news, the detection of fake news becomes more and more important.Traditional detection methods often rely on a single emotional or semantic feature to identify fake news, but these methods have limitations when dealing with news in specific domains. In order to solve the problem of weak feature correlation between data from different domains,a model for detecting fake news by integrating domain-specific emotional and semantic features is proposed. This method makes full use of the attention mechanism, grasps the correlation between different features, and effectively improves the effect of feature fusion. The algorithm first extracts the semantic features of news text through the Bi-LSTM(Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory)layer to capture the contextual relevance of news text.Senta-BiLSTM is then used to extract emotional features and predict the probability of positive and negative emotions in the text.It then uses domain features as an enhancement feature and attention mechanism to fully capture more fine-grained emotional features associated with that domain. Finally, the fusion features are taken as the input of the fake news detection classifier, combined with the multi-task representation of information, and the MLP and Softmax functions are used for classification. The experimental results show that on the Chinese dataset Weibo21,the F1 value of this model is 0.958,4.9% higher than that of the sub-optimal model;on the English dataset FakeNewsNet,the F1 value of the detection result of this model is 0.845,1.8% higher than that of the sub-optimal model, which is advanced and feasible.

文摘Computer-aided diagnosis of pneumonia based on deep learning is a research hotspot. However, there are some problems that the features of different sizes and different directions are not sufficient when extracting the features in lung X-ray images.A pneumonia classification model based on multi-scale directional feature enhancement MSD-Net is proposed in this paper. The main innovations are as follows:Firstly, the Multi-scale Residual Feature Extraction Module(MRFEM)is designed to effectively extract multi-scale features. The MRFEM uses dilated convolutions with different expansion rates to increase the receptive field and extract multi-scale features effectively.Secondly, the Multi-scale Directional Feature Perception Module(MDFPM)is designed, which uses a three-branch structure of different sizes convolution to transmit direction feature layer by layer, and focuses on the target region to enhance the feature information.Thirdly, the Axial Compression Former Module(ACFM)is designed to perform global calculations to enhance the perception ability of global features in different directions. To verify the effectiveness of the MSD-Net,comparative experiments and ablation experiments are carried out.In the COVID-19 RADIOGRAPHY DATABASE,the Accuracy,Recall,Precision,F1 Score, and Specificity of MSD-Net are 97.76%,95.57%,95.52%,95.52%,and 98.51%,respectively.In the chest X-ray dataset, the Accuracy,Recall,Precision,F1 Score and Specificity of MSD-Net are 97.78%,95.22%,96.49%,95.58%,and 98.11%,respectively.This model improves the accuracy of lung image recognition effectively and provides an important clinical reference to pneumonia Computer-Aided Diagnosis.

文摘Image captioning has gained increasing attention in recent years.Visual characteristics found in input images play a crucial role in generating high-quality captions.Prior studies have used visual attention mechanisms to dynamically focus on localized regions of the input image, improving the effectiveness of identifying relevant image regions at each step of caption generation. However, providing image captioning models with the capability of selecting the most relevant visual features from the input image and attending to them can significantly improve the utilization of these features.Consequently, this leads to enhanced captioning network performance. In light of this,we present an image captioning framework that efficiently exploits the extracted representations of the image. Our framework comprises three key components:the Visual Feature Detector module(VFD),the Visual Feature Visual Attention module(VFVA),and the language model. The VFD module is responsible for detecting a subset of the most pertinent features from the local visual features, creating an updated visual features matrix.Subsequently, the VFVA directs its attention to the visual features matrix generated by the VFD,resulting in an updated context vector employed by the language model to generate an informative description.Integrating the VFD and VFVA modules introduces an additional layer of processing for the visual features, thereby contributing to enhancing the image captioning model’s performance.Using the MS-COCO dataset, our experiments show that the proposed framework competes well with state-of-the-art methods, effectively leveraging visual representations to improve performance. The implementation code can be found here:https://github.com/althobhani/VFDICM(accessed on 30 July 2024).

文摘With the rapid development of the mobile communication and the Internet, the previous web anomaly detectionand identificationmodels were built relying on security experts’empirical knowledge and attack features.Althoughthis approach can achieve higher detection performance,it requires huge human labor and resources to maintainthe feature library. In contrast, semantic feature engineering can dynamically discover new semantic featuresand optimize feature selection by automatically analyzing the semantic information contained in the data itself, thus reducing dependence on prior knowledge. However, current semantic features still have the problem ofsemantic expression singularity,as they are extracted from a single semantic mode such as word segmentation, character segmentation,or arbitrary semantic feature extraction. This paper extracts features of web requestsfrom dual semantic granularity, and proposes a semantic feature fusion method to solve the above problems.Themethod first preprocesses web requests, and extracts word-level and character-level semantic features of URLs viaconvolutional neural network(CNN),respectively.By constructing three loss functions to reduce losses betweenfeatures, labels and categories.Experiments on the HTTP CSIC 2010,Malicious URLs and HttpParams datasetsverify the proposedmethod. Results show that compared withmachine learning, deep learningmethods and BERTmodel, the proposed method has better detection performance. And it achieved the best detection rate of 99.16%in the dataset HttpParams.

文摘Feature matching plays a key role in computer vision. 文摘Olive trees are susceptible to a variety of diseases that can cause significant crop damage and economic losses.Early detection of these diseases is essential for effective management. We propose a novel transformed wavelet,feature-fused,pre-trained deep learning model for detecting olive leaf diseases. The proposed model combines wavelet transforms with pre-trained deep-learning models to extract discriminative features from olive leaf images. The model has four main phases:preprocessing using data augmentation,three-level wavelet transformation, learning using pre-trained deep learning models, and a fused deep learning model. In the preprocessing phase, the image dataset is augmented using techniques such as resizing, rescaling, flipping, rotation, zooming, and contrasting. In wavelet transformation, the augmented images are decomposed into three frequency levels.Three pre-trained deep learning models,EfficientNet-B7,DenseNet-201,and ResNet-152-V2,are used in the learning phase. The models were trained using the approximate images of the third-level sub-band of the wavelet transform. In the fused phase, the fused model consists of a merge layer, three dense layers, and two dropout layers. The proposed model was evaluated using a dataset of images of healthy and infected olive leaves. It achieved an accuracy of 99.72%in the diagnosis of olive leaf diseases, which exceeds the accuracy of other methods reported in the literature. This finding suggests that our proposed method is a promising tool for the early detection of olive leaf diseases.
文摘With the popularisation of intelligent power, power devices have different shapes, numbers and specifications. This means that the power data has distributional variability, the model learning process cannot achieve sufficient extraction of data features, which seriously affects the accuracy and performance of anomaly detection. Therefore, this paper proposes a deep learning-based anomaly detection model for power data, which integrates a data alignment enhancement technique based on random sampling and an adaptive feature fusion method leveraging dimension reduction.Aiming at the distribution variability of power data, this paper developed a sliding window-based data adjustment method for this model, which solves the problem of high-dimensional feature noise and low-dimensional missing data.To address the problem of insufficient feature fusion,an adaptive feature fusion method based on feature dimension reduction and dictionary learning is proposed to improve the anomaly data detection accuracy of the model. In order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method,we conducted effectiveness comparisons through elimination experiments. The experimental results show that compared with the traditional anomaly detection methods, the method proposed in this paper not only has an advantage in model accuracy, but also reduces the amount of parameter calculation of the model in the process of feature matching and improves the detection speed.
文摘Machine Learning(ML)algorithms play a pivotal role in Speech Emotion Recognition(SER),although they encounter a formidable obstacle in accurately discerning a speaker’s emotional state. The examination of the emotional states of speakers holds significant importance in a range of real-time applications, including but not limited to virtual reality,human-robot interaction, emergency centers, and human behavior assessment.Accurately identifying emotions in the SER process relies on extracting relevant information from audio inputs.Previous studies on SER have predominantly utilized short-time characteristics such as Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients(MFCCs)due to their ability to capture the periodic nature of audio signals effectively.Although these traits may improve their ability to perceive and interpret emotional depictions appropriately,MFCCS has some limitations. So this study aims to tackle the aforementioned issue by systematically picking multiple audio cues, enhancing the classifier model’s efficacy in accurately discerning human emotions. The utilized dataset is taken from the EMO-DB database, preprocessing input speech is done using a 2D Convolution Neural Network(CNN)involves applying convolutional operations to spectrograms as they afford a visual representation of the way the audio signal frequency content changes over time. The next step is the spectrogram data normalization which is crucial for Neural Network(NN)training as it aids in faster convergence. Then the five auditory features MFCCs,Chroma,Mel-Spectrogram,Contrast,and Tonnetz are extracted from the spectrogram sequentially. The attitude of feature selection is to retain only dominant features by excluding the irrelevant ones.In this paper, the Sequential Forward Selection(SFS)and Sequential Backward Selection(SBS)techniques were employed for multiple audio cues features selection. Finally, the feature sets composed from the hybrid feature extraction methods are fed into the deep Bidirectional Long Short Term Memory(Bi-LSTM)network to discern emotions.Since the deep Bi-LSTM can hierarchically learn complex features and increases model capacity by achieving more robust temporal modeling,it is more effective than a shallow Bi-LSTM in capturing the intricate tones of emotional content existent in speech signals. The effectiveness and resilience of the proposed SER model were evaluated by experiments, comparing it to state-of-the-art SER techniques. The results indicated that the model achieved accuracy rates of 90.92%,93%,and 92%over the Ryerson Audio-Visual Database of Emotional Speech and Song(RAVDESS),Berlin Database of Emotional Speech(EMO-DB),and The Interactive Emotional Dyadic Motion Capture(IEMOCAP)datasets, respectively. These findings signify a prominent enhancement in the ability to emotional depictions identification in speech, showcasing the potential of the proposed model in advancing the SER field.

文摘The epidemic characters of Omicron(e.g.large-scale transmission)are significantly different from the initial variants of COVID-19.The data generated by large-scale transmission is important to predict the trend of epidemic characters. However, the re-sults of current prediction models are inaccurate since they are not closely combined with the actual situation of Omicron transmission. In consequence, these inaccurate results have negative impacts on the process of the manufacturing and the service industry, for example, the production of masks and the recovery of the tourism industry. The authors have studied the epidemic characters in two ways, that is,investigation and prediction.First,a large amount of data is collected by utilising the Baidu index and conduct questionnaire survey concerning epidemic characters.Second,theβ-SEIDR model is established, where the population is classified as Susceptible,Exposed,Infected,Dead andβ-Recovered persons,to intelligently predict the epidemic characters of COVID-19.Note thatβ-Recovered persons denote that the Recovered persons may become Sus-ceptible persons with probabilityβ.The simulation results show that the model can accurately predict the epidemic characters.

文摘Control signaling is mandatory for the operation and management of all types of communication networks, including the Third Generation Partnership Project(3GPP)mobile broadband networks. However, they consume important and scarce network resources such as bandwidth and processing power. There have been several reports of these control signaling turning into signaling storms halting network operations and causing the respective Telecom companies big financial losses. This paper draws its motivation from such real network disaster incidents attributed to signaling storms. In this paper,we present a thorough survey of the causes,of the signaling storm problems in 3GPP-based mobile broadband networks and discuss in detail their possible solutions and countermeasures. We provide relevant analytical models to help quantify the effect of the potential causes and benefits of their corresponding solutions.Another important contribution of this paper is the comparison of the possible causes and solutions/countermeasures,concerning their effect on several important network aspects such as architecture, additional signaling, fidelity, etc.,in the form of a table. This paper presents an update and an extension of our earlier conference publication. To our knowledge,no similar survey study exists on the subject.
