The present study was carried out to elucidate the effects of urea on weight gain, and hematological and biochemical profiles. A total of 48 broiler chicks were randomly allotted into 4 groups, designated Groups 1, 2, 3 and 4 of 12 birds each. Birds in Groups 2, 3 and 4 were fed on diets containing urea at the levels of 1%, 2.5% and 4%, respectively. Birds in Group 1 served as control and were not exposed to urea. Experimentation period was for 3 weeks and experiment was terminated when birds were 42 days of age. Body weight of all intoxicated birds at the various intervals was significantly decreased in comparison with that of the untreated control. Compared with control, all intoxicated broilers manifested significant (P ≤ 0.05) decrease in all hematological parameters involving erythrocytic and total leucocytic counts, Hemoglobin (Hb) and Packed Cell Volume (PCV) on a dose- and time-pattern. In comparison with the control levels, biochemical profile of the intoxicated birds disclosed significant decrease in blood glucose level and significant increase in serum uric acid, urea, Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP) and Lactate Dehydrogenase (LDH) levels. Based upon the present data, it was concluded that the addition of urea to broiler diets bears serious sequences concerning the general health condition, performance, weight gain, and hematological and biochemical profiles.展开更多

Seven such techniques were studied and analyzed;symmetrical dual feeding in phase, symmetrical dual feeding out of phase, asymmetrical dual feeding in phase, asymmetrical dual feeding out of phase, symmetrical triple feeding in phase and symmetrical triple feeding out of phase. Symmetrical dual feeding in phase produced high gain as compared to the single and center-fed antennas. An improvement of about 3 to 3.5 dB was achieved comparing to center tap fed and off center fed. It was found that an asymmetrical dual feeding in-phase provides good performance, considering the directivity, pattern, and input impedance. A 2.46 dB gain has been attained. It was found that a symmetrical triple feeding provides an overall best performance with respect to gain, radiation pattern, beam width and input impedance.展开更多

The experiment was carried out with a photoperiod of 12L (light): 12D (dark) with lights on at 06:00...The present study was to investigate the effects of feeding time on growth of the Chinese soft-shelled turtle. The experiment was carried out with a photoperiod of 12L (light): 12D (dark) with lights on at 06:00 and off at 18:00. Turtles were maintained at a temperature of 32 - 0.2 ℃ in tanks throughout the length of the experiment. The turtles in group 1 to group 6 were fed respectively at 00:00, 04:00, 08:00, 12:00, 16:00 and 20:00 with 60 turtles each (Initial body weight 88.27 - 0.09 g). Acrophases of postprandial RNA/DNA ratio in liver in each group was shown between 5h and 7h after feeding. A positive linear correlation could be seen between specific growth rate (SGR) and RNA/ DNA:SGR=t.1586RNA/DNA-0.7097 (r = 0.9328, P = 0.0066). The results indicated that the values at the acrophases of about 6h after feeding might be used as an instantaneous growth index in the Chinese soft-shelled turtle. The turtles in group 1 grew better than group 3, group 4, group 5, group 6, because they ate more, but they ate more and grew slower than group 2, whose feed conversion rate was also higher. Meanwhile, the SGR and feeding rate of turtles fed at 12:00 were the lowest from the six groups (P 〈 0.05). Turtles fed in group 1, group 2 and group 6 developed more heavy final body weight (FBW), higher feeding rate and SGR than the other three groups. This probably suggested that turtles fed in scotophase grew better than that fed at photophase in total.展开更多

The highlight point is that it not only inherits all the essences of Singular perturbation and Equal ratio gain techniques but also makes up for their shortcomings, and then the conservatism of control input can be improved by compromising the Power ratio coefficients. An experiment was conducted to evaluate the growth performance and cost per gain of indigenous and crossbred (local x Holstein Friesian (L x HF)) bulls under four different improved feed treatments to determine th...An experiment was conducted to evaluate the growth performance and cost per gain of indigenous and crossbred (local x Holstein Friesian (L x HF)) bulls under four different improved feed treatments to determine the appropriate ration for economic organic beef production in Bangladesh. Twenty indigenous bulls (average body weight 208.08 ± 13.98 kg) and 20 crossbred (L x l-IF) bulls (average body weight 256.26 ± 26.85 kg) of 24 months age were divided into four equal groups and fed on four diets (T0, T1, T2 and T3) up to 120 d, where To referred to the conventional diet, and T1, T2 and T3 referred as improved organic diets. Required dry matter for individual animal was supplied by roughage and concentrate sources of the ration in the ratio of 2:1. Local grass and paddy straw were supplied to group T0 and T1, Napier grass and straw to group T2, and Napier grass (Pennisetum purpureum), straw and Ipil-ipil leaf (Leuceana leucucephala) to group Ts as roughage; whereas, the concentrate was supplied as 1.5% of live weight. The results revealed that total dry matter intake (DMI), total DMI as percent live weight (%LW), feed conversion ratio (FCR) and average daily gain (ADG) varied significantly (P 〈 0.01) among different treatment groups. Breed also had significant (P 〈 0.01) effect on total DMI, FCR and ADG, but total DMI (%LW) was not affected by breed type. Feed cost expressed as per kg live weight gain (LWG) (BDT/kg LWG; 1USD = 78.95 BDT), were also affected (P 〈 0.01) by feed treatments and breed type. Indigenous and crossbred bulls fed diet T3 had higher ADG (0.49 kg and 1.17 kg, respectively) and comparatively lower feed costs (156 BDT/kg LWG and 96.78 BDT/kg LWG, respectively). But crossbred (L × HF) bulls showed the highest ADG (1.17 kg) and the lowest feed cost (96.78 BDT/kg LWG). Therefore, considering the growth performance and cost per kg gain of the experimental animals, it may be concluded that the crossbred (Lx HF) bulls treated with T3 diet may be used for economic organic beef production in Bangladesh.展开更多

By Routh’s stability criterion, we demonstrate that a canonical system matrix can be designed to be always Hurwitz as any row controller gains, or controller and its integrator gains increase with the same ratio. By solving Lyapunov equation, we demonstrate that as any row controller gains, or controller and its integrator gains of a canonical system matrix tend to infinity with the same ratio, if it is always Hurwitz, and then the same row solutions of Lyapunov equation all tend to zero. By Equal ratio gain technique and Lyapunov method, theorems to ensure semi-globally asymptotic stability are established in terms of some bounded information. Moreover, the striking robustness of linear general integral control and PID control is clearly illustrated by Equal ratio gain technique. Theoretical analysis, design example and simulation results showed that Equal ratio gain technique is a powerful tool to solve the control design problem of uncertain nonlinear system.展开更多

For long-distance wireless communication, antenna gains need to be very strong (highly directive) because the signal from the antenna loses a lot of strength as it travels over long distances. This is true in the military with missile, radar, and satellite systems, etc. Antenna arrays are commonly employed to focus electromagnetic waves in a certain direction that cannot be achieved perfectly with a single-element antenna. The goal of this study is to design a rectangular microstrip high-gain 2 × 1 array antenna using ADS Momentum. This microstrip patch array design makes use of the RT-DUROID 5880 as a substrate with a dielectric constant of 2.2, substrate height of 1.588 mm, and tangent loss of 0.001. To achieve efficient gain and return loss characteristics for the proposed array antenna, RT-Duroid is a good choice of dielectric material. The designed array antenna is made up of two rectangular patches, which have a resonance frequency of 3.3 GHz. These rectangular patches are excited by microstrip feed lines with 13 mm lengths and 4.8 mm widths. The impedance of the patches is perfectly matched by these transmission lines, which helps to get better antenna characteristics. At a resonance frequency of 3.3 GHz, the suggested antenna array has a directivity of 10.50 dB and a maximum gain of 9.90 dB in the S-band. The S parameters, 3D radiation pattern, directivity, gain, and efficiency of the constructed array antenna are all available in ADS Momentum.展开更多

Local grass and paddy straw were supplied to group T0 and T1, Napier grass and straw to group T2, and Napier grass (Pennisetum purpureum), straw and Ipil-ipil leaf (Leuceana leucucephala) to group Ts as roughage; whereas, the concentrate was supplied as 1.5% of live weight. The results revealed that total dry matter intake (DMI), total DMI as percent live weight (%LW), feed conversion ratio (FCR) and average daily gain (ADG) varied significantly (P 〈 0.01) among different treatment groups. Breed also had significant (P 〈 0.01) effect on total DMI, FCR and ADG, but total DMI (%LW) was not affected by breed type. Feed cost expressed as per kg live weight gain (LWG) (BDT/kg LWG; 1USD = 78.95 BDT), were also affected (P 〈 0.01) by feed treatments and breed type. Indigenous and crossbred bulls fed diet T3 had higher ADG (0.49 kg and 1.17 kg, respectively) and comparatively lower feed costs (156 BDT/kg LWG and 96.78 BDT/kg LWG, respectively). But crossbred (L × HF) bulls showed the highest ADG (1.17 kg) and the lowest feed cost (96.78 BDT/kg LWG). Therefore, considering the growth performance and cost per kg gain of the experimental animals, it may be concluded that the crossbred (Lx HF) bulls treated with T3 diet may be used for economic organic beef production in Bangladesh.
文摘In conjunction with linear general integral control, this paper proposes a fire-new control design technique, named Equal ratio gain technique, and then develops two kinds of control design methods, that is, Decomposition and Synthetic methods, for a class of uncertain nonlinear system. By Routh’s stability criterion, we demonstrate that a canonical system matrix can be designed to be always Hurwitz as any row controller gains, or controller and its integrator gains increase with the same ratio. By solving Lyapunov equation, we demonstrate that as any row controller gains, or controller and its integrator gains of a canonical system matrix tend to infinity with the same ratio, if it is always Hurwitz, and then the same row solutions of Lyapunov equation all tend to zero. By Equal ratio gain technique and Lyapunov method, theorems to ensure semi-globally asymptotic stability are established in terms of some bounded information. Moreover, the striking robustness of linear general integral control and PID control is clearly illustrated by Equal ratio gain technique. Theoretical analysis, design example and simulation results showed that Equal ratio gain technique is a powerful tool to solve the control design problem of uncertain nonlinear system.
文摘This paper proposes two kinds of nonlinear general integral controllers, that is, one is generic and another is practical, for a class of uncertain nonlinear system. By extending equal ratio gain technique to a canonical interval system matrix and using Lyapunov method, theorems to ensure regionally as well as semi-globally asymptotic stability are established in terms of some bounded information. Moreover, for the practical nonlinear integral controller, a real time method to evaluate the equal ratio coefficient is proposed such that its value can be chosen moderately. Theoretical analysis and simulation results demonstrated that not only nonlinear general integral control can effectively deal with the uncertain nonlinear system but also equal ratio gain technique is a powerful and practical tool to solve the control design problem of dynamics with the nonlinear and uncertain actions.
文摘Antennas are an indispensable element in wireless networks. For long-distance wireless communication, antenna gains need to be very strong (highly directive) because the signal from the antenna loses a lot of strength as it travels over long distances. This is true in the military with missile, radar, and satellite systems, etc. Antenna arrays are commonly employed to focus electromagnetic waves in a certain direction that cannot be achieved perfectly with a single-element antenna. The goal of this study is to design a rectangular microstrip high-gain 2 × 1 array antenna using ADS Momentum. This microstrip patch array design makes use of the RT-DUROID 5880 as a substrate with a dielectric constant of 2.2, substrate height of 1.588 mm, and tangent loss of 0.001. To achieve efficient gain and return loss characteristics for the proposed array antenna, RT-Duroid is a good choice of dielectric material. The designed array antenna is made up of two rectangular patches, which have a resonance frequency of 3.3 GHz. These rectangular patches are excited by microstrip feed lines with 13 mm lengths and 4.8 mm widths. The impedance of the patches is perfectly matched by these transmission lines, which helps to get better antenna characteristics. At a resonance frequency of 3.3 GHz, the suggested antenna array has a directivity of 10.50 dB and a maximum gain of 9.90 dB in the S-band. The S parameters, 3D radiation pattern, directivity, gain, and efficiency of the constructed array antenna are all available in ADS Momentum.
文摘综述了涉及工程应用的冷丝熔化极气体保护焊(Cold wire gas metal arc welding,CW-GMAW)熔滴过渡形态特征。结果表明,在大电流、强规范、富氩混合气体保护下,CW-GMAW工艺的熔滴过渡形态呈喷射过渡;当电流较小、电弧电压较低时,可能为滴状过渡,甚至在弧压很低时,呈现短路过渡形态。该工艺电弧发生偏向冷丝的位移,弧长变短甚至发生短路,与冷丝送进速率比增高及冷丝在电弧中产生大量金属蒸气时弧柱电阻下降有关。在具有富氩混合保护气体的相同工艺参数下,CWGMAW转变电流比GMAW降低了4%~7%。焊接工艺参数对CW-GMAW和GMAW工艺熔滴过渡形态的影响规律大致相近,但前者因涉及冷丝送进速率比和电极焊丝送进速度,以及它们的匹配等,使焊接电流的影响更为复杂。
