Carbon decorated Li_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3) for high-rate lithium-ion batteries:Electrochemical performance and charge compensation mechanism

Fast charging and high-power delivering batteries are highly demanded in mobile electronics,electric vehicles and grid energy storage,but there are full of challenges.The star-material Li_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3) is demonstrated as a promising high-rate cathode material meeting the above requirements.Herein,we report the carbon decorated Li_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3) (LVP/C) cathode prepared via a facile method,which displays a remarkable high-rate capability and long-term cycling performance.Briefly,the prepared LVP/C delivers a high discharge capacity of 122 mAh g^(-1)(-93% of the theoretical capacity) at a high rate up to 20 C and a superior capacity retention of 87.1% after 1000 cycles.Importantly,by applying a combination of X-ray absorption spectroscopy and full-range mapping of resonant inelastic X-ray scattering,we clearly elucidate the structural and chemical evolutions of LVP upon various potentials and cycle numbers.We show unambiguous spectroscopic evidences that the evolution of the hybridization strength between V and O in LVP/C as a consequence of lithiation/delithiation is highly reversible both in the bulk and on the surface during the discharge-charge processes even over extended cycles,which should be responsible for the remarkable electrochemical performance of LVP/C.Our present study provides not only an effective synthesis strategy but also deeper insights into the surface and bulk electrochemical reaction mechanism of LVP,which should be beneficial for the further design of high-performance LVP electrode materials.

Ecological compensation mechanism for Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region based on footprint balance and footprint deficit

Construction of the ecological compensation mechanism is an important approach to put the“Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Coordinated Development Plan”into practice and improve the ecological environment of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.This paper constructs an ecological compensation mechanism for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region based on the footprint balance and footprint deficit after clarifying ecological governance objectives.First,this paper proposes to establish a uniform,hierarchical and classified supply mechanism of ecosystem services according to the classification of land resources,water resources and forest resources for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.Then,the“Authority with Corresponding Responsibility”for the supply of ecosystem services in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region can be realized through a footprint balance and footprint deficit indicator circulation mechanism.Finally,the scientific and rational ecological compensation standard can be guaranteed through establishing the integrated governance mechanism for ecological compensation in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and improving the“ecological compensation standard”.The results of this paper can provide sound theoretical support for effectively promoting the improvement of ecosystem services and human well-being in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

Initial Exploration on the Ecological Compensation Mechanism of Baiyangdian Watershed

Establishment of the ecological compensation mechanism is one important way for solving a series of issues in Baiyangdian Watershed, including environment pollution, ecological deterioration, unsustained water supplement, rural pollution aggravation and ecological migration. Based on the principles of main functional area, public goods, welfare economics, financial transfer payment and watershed management, we put forward the construction framework of ecological compensation mechanism in Baiyangdian Watershed. Compensation subject is governments at all levels and beneficiary within watershed. Compensation object is governments at all levels, eco-builder and victim within watershed. Compensation way in- dudes government-led and market-oriented and game-negotiation types. Compensation standard includes financial transfer payment, compensation between upstream and downstream of the watershed, rural environmental protection with collections of management fees and subsidies to co-gov- ernance, ecological migration and inter-basin section. The safeguard measures of implementation for ecological compensation mechanism in Baiy- angdian Watershed are setting legal system and status of the ecological compensation, ensuring special usage of the ecological compensation fund, carrying out performance evaluation index system, building social management system of the ecological compensation and promoting the reform of watershed manaQement structure.

Perfecting the Market-Oriented Ecological Compensation Mechanism of Ethnic Minority Areas: A Case Study of Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture

The construction of the market-oriented ecological compensation mechanism in China is complicated system engineering. China's ecological compensation funds are mainly derived from the public finance, lacking market-oriented operation. That not only increases the financial burden of the government, but also leads to the incomprehensive compensation scope. Moreover, China's ecological compensation lacks market mechanism so that it is difficult to set compensation standards and calculate offsets. This paper takes Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture as an example to analyze the market-oriented ecological compensation system of ethnic minority areas from the perspective of market economy, so as to provide a theoretical basis and a reference point for the establishment of efficient and reasonable ecological compensation mechanism and policies in ethnic minority areas and provide environmental protection for the sustainable development of economy and society of ethnic minority areas.

Improving the ecological compensation mechanism for drinking water source in Yunnan province

Ecological compensation mechanism for drinking water source is one of the effective economic ways to solve the issues of the shortage of the protection investment and the lack of the driving forces to protect the water quality.The successful cases of compensation mechanism for drinking water source have examined the dilemma of improving the trans-administrative boundary compensation mechanism both in China and Yunnan.The lack of the provincial rules and regulations in Yunnan is the fundamental reason for the local government not willingly to establish the compensation mechanism.On the other hand,the shortage of the compensation funds is the key difficulty for the shareholders to reach an agreement.Formulating the rules and regulations about the construction of the compensation mechanism of drinking water source in Yunnan would be a feasible way to stipulate the local government to set up the compensation mechanism.Meanwhile,designing a complete set of compensation mechanism would make full use of the mechanism to work well to protect the water quality in an economic way.

Mathematical modeling and analytical solution for stretching force of automatic feed mechanism

Load of an automatic feed mechanism is composed of the stretching force of feed belt at the entrance to lower flexible guidance and the friction force between feed belt and flexible guidance. A mathematical model for computing the load was presented. An optimization problem was formulated to determine the attitude of the flexible guidance based on the principle that the potential energy stored in the system was the minimum at the equilibrium. Then the friction force was obtained according to the attitude of guide leaves and the moving velocity of the feed belt and the friction factor. Consequently, the load of the automatic feed mechanism can be calculated. Finally, an example was given to compute the load when the horizontal and elevating firing angles of the automation were respectively 45° and 30°. The computing result can be a criterion to determine the designing parameters of automat.

A Position and Orientation Compensation Mechanism for Automatic Docking Device of Launch Rocket

A position and orientation compensation mechanism for the automatic docking device of a launch rocketwas established.The docking process was simulated,and the maximum docking deviation was used for the prototype testing of the compensation mechanism.The compensation mechanism mainly comprises four column pairmotion branch chains with the same structure.When the position of the ground connector panel changes relative to the moving platform,the sliding rods in the four motion branch chains move and rotate to either compress or stretch the connected spring,thereby compensating the position and orientation.First,the dynamic simulation model of the compensation mechanism was established.The docking process was then simulated under the maximum docking deviation.Bench testing of the automatic docking device prototype was carried out.Afterwards,the device was manufactured,and a maximum load test and maximum deviation test were carried out.The results demonstrate that the compensation mechanism meets the design requirements,and the spring stiffness was found as the most important factor in determining the mechanical properties of the system.The proposed compensation mechanism has a number of advantages,including a simple structure,large load bearing capacity,small size,simple installation,and adjustment.

Core Issues in Design of Tibetan Grassland Ecological Compensation Mechanism

Scientific grassland ecological compensation mechanism is favorable for improving the grassland ecological environment and promote the sustainable development of animal husbandry. Combined with actual situations of Tibet,this paper discussed core issues in the design of grassland ecological compensation mechanism,including compensation purpose,compensation subject,compensation object,compensation standard,and compensation method. It pointed out that the design of mechanism is a complex and systematic project. Each issue is complex and varied. The government at all levels should be cautious and make scientific treatment,and should not apply a single solution for all issues.

Exploring the Mechanical Properties,Shrinkage and Compensation Mechanism of Cement Stabilized Macadam-Steel Slag from Multiple Perspectives

Steel slag is characterized by high strength,good wear resistance and micro-expansion.This study aims at exploring the potential of steel slag in cement stabilized aggregates,mainly including mechanical properties,shrinkage and compensation mechanisms.For this purpose,the compressive strength and compressive resilient modulus of cement stabilized aggregates with different steel slag contents(CSMS)were initially investigated.Subsequently,the effects of steel slag and cement on dry shrinkage,temperature shrinkage,and total shrinkage were analyzed through a series of shrinkage test designs.Additionally,in combination with X-ray diffraction(XRD)and Scanning electron microscope(SEM),the characteristic peaks and microscopic images of cement,steel slag and cement-steel slag at different hydration ages were analyzed to identify the chemical substances causing the expansion volume of steel slag and reveal the compensation mechanism of CSMS.The results show that the introduction of 20%steel slag improved the mechanical properties of CSMS by 16.7%,reduced dry shrinkage by 21%,increased temperature shrinkage by 5.8%and reduced its total shrinkage by 19.2%.Compared with the hydration reaction of cement alone,the composite hydration reaction of steel slag with cement does not produce new hydrates.Furthermore,it is noteworthy that the volume expansion of the f-CaO hydration reaction in steel slag can compensate for the volume shrinkage of cement-stabilized macadam.This research can provide a solid theoretical basis for the application and promotion of steel slag in cement-stabilized macadam and reduce the possibility of shrinkage cracking.

Exploration on Ecological Compensation Mechanism of Family Farm

Family farm is a new type of agricultural operation,and the research on ecological compensation for its production behavior is conducive to consolidating the basic position of agriculture and protecting agricultural resources and environment.By summarizing and drawing lessons from the domestic research results in related fields,the family farm is selected as the object,and the opportunity cost method is used to analyze the setting of the ecological compensation standard of the family farm.The basic framework of ecological compensation mechanism of family farm is constructed from three aspects:ecological compensation responsibility determination mechanism;compensation object establishment mechanism;compensation standard determination and mode selection mechanism.The operation mechanism of ecological compensation of family farm is analyzed from three aspects:farmer;farm production;resources and environment.The results show that the family farms'pursuit of agricultural products and ecological services is the response mechanism of ecological compensation for their production behavior.On the basis of this,this paper puts forward some measures and suggestions to ensure the ecological compensation mechanism of family farms from three aspects:perfecting the land use system;widening the compensation channels;constructing the green GDP accounting.

Auxiliary Service Dynamic Compensation Mechanism Design for Incentivizing Market Participants to Provide Flexibility in China

Because of the rapid growth of new energy and the accompanying considerable uncertainty in the power market,the demand for flexibility in a power sys-tem has risen sharply.In the meantime,the market structure of auxiliary services has changed,resulting in market participants(MPs)benefiting less than expected from providing flexible services.To encourage MPs to provide flexibility,this study proposes a dynamic design framework for an auxiliary service compensation mech-anism.To evaluate the proposed framework,a case study is conducted,examining a peak-shaving service in Liao-ning province in northeast China.First,the operational status and limitations of the typical product,the peak-shaving service,in China’s flexibility auxiliary ser-vices market are analyzed.Then,taking into consideration the time value of the flexible products provided by the MPs,a dynamic mechanism for hierarchical compensation of flexibility auxiliary service costs is proposed,and a mathematical model aimed at optimizing the MPs’comprehensive income is constructed.The results show that,compared with the existing traditional mechanism,the proposed method can effectively guarantee fair remu-neration for the flexibility provider,while easing the tense supply-demand relationship in the flexibility market.

The control of welding wire feed self-adaptive mechanism based on fuzzy PID

The welding wire feed mechanism is an important component of welding equipment, both reliability and stabilization are the premise that the welding quality can be ensured. The PID is currently adapted to control the welding wire feed mechanism, although the fuzzy PID has advantage of fast response and adaptation, the precision of fuzzy PID is lower. Accordingly, the fuzzy self-adaptive PID controller was proposed through changing fuzzy input variables and output variables based on variable universe, simple furwtion is adopted as scaling factor, the fuzzy PID controller parameters are adjusted to improve the precision and adjustment range. Simulation results show that control effects of fuzzy self-adaptive PID adopted by the welding wire feed mechanism have good adaptive ability and robustness based on variable universe, the welding experiments indicate that the welding quality met the requirements actually.

Design and analysis of modular charge feeding mechanism

Aiming at the turning motion＇s disadvantages,including the instability of charge magazine caused by polygon effect and the disability of synchronously pushing modular charge of the current pushing mechanism,a new type of charge feeding mechanism is designed.It can not only select modular charge rapidly and steadily,but also push a certain amount of modular charge into the tray which is used to receive the charge synchronously.The selection and push principles of feeding mechanism are introduced,and a three-dimensional model is established.ADAMS is applied to simulation analysis of the feeding mechanism.The results show that the feeding mechanism can push the modular charge into the reception tray rapidly and steadily,which provides a theoretical basis for the practical design.

Mechanism and control of water seepage of vertical feeding borehole for solid materials in backflling coal mining

To solve the problem of water seepage of vertical feeding borehole for solid materials,we established the fluid-solid coupling dynamic model of groundwater flowing in rock mass adjacent to the vertical feeding borehole.Combining with the engineering geological conditions,we built a numeral model to study the influence rule of the aquifer hydraulic pressure and seepage location of feeding borehole on the amount of seepage with fnite element numerical method.The results show that the nonlinear relationship is presented among the amount of seepage,the seepage location and aquifer hydraulic pressure.The higher the aquifer hydraulic pressure is,the closer the distance between seepage location and aquifer is,and the faster the harmful levels of aquifer will grow.In practice,we calculated the allowable seepage of feeding borehole by the optimum moisture content and natural moisture content of backflling materials,and then determined the protection zone of feeding borehole,so the moisture content of backflling materials can be controlled within the scope of optimum moisture content.

Mechanism of burst feeding in ZL205A casting under mechanical vibration and low pressure

The burst feeding behavior of ZL205 A casting under mechanical vibration and low pressure was investigated by casting experiment and physical model. Experimental results indicated that the burst feeding appeared repeatedly during solidification and left a shrinkage cavity with layered structure under mechanical vibration. The castings with less shrinkage and higher density could be achieved through the vibration. The calculation results of physical model showed that the burst feeding could perform spontaneously under vibration while difficultly without vibration in low-pressure die casting. The obstruction of a casting could be broken and the grains could be rearranged by the vibration. And the obstruction could be carried away due to the inner and outer pressure difference, causing a burst feeding.

Integrated generation–consumption dispatch based on compensation mechanism considering demand response behavior

Demand response(DR) is important to account for behaviors of the demand side to yield an optimal dispatch result. However, it is difficult for energy suppliers to collect customers' private information unless there is an incentive mechanism for customers to do so. Therefore,this paper proposes a new integrated generation–consumption dispatch based on compensation mechanism considering DR behavior. Firstly, in light of the dayahead load forecast data, we deduce the utility function model of different customers. By subtracting generating units' operation cost from consumers' total utility, the dispatch model has a decentralized demand participant structure based on this utility function. The utility function is used to describe consumers' preferences and energy consumption behaviors. Secondly, an effective compensation mechanism is designed to ensure customers to select the level of compensation appropriate to their willingness to curtail load. Finally, a new dispatch model is proposed that incorporates the DR compensation mechanism into the generation–consumption dispatch model. The new model can improve the interaction of generation and consumption,and benefit both the energy supplier and its customers. The proposed model is piecewise linearized and solved by a mixed-integer linear programming method. It is tested on a six-bus system and the IEEE 118-bus system. Simulation results show that the proposed model can realize both maximum social welfare and Pareto optimal results.
