Local LQR control laws and the corresponding maximum control invariant sets can be designed for finite equilibrium points. It is guaranteed that control invariant sets are overlapped each other. The union of the control invariant sets is treated as the terminal constraint set of predictive control. The feasibility and stability of the novel dual-mode model predictive control are investigated with both variable and fixed horizon. Because of the introduction of extended terminal constrained set, the feasibility of optimization can be guaranteed with short prediction horizon. In this way, the size of the optimization problem is reduced so it is computationally efficient. Finally, a simulation example illustrating the algorithm is presented.展开更多

The maximal positively invariant terminal set, which is feasible and invariant with respect to a feedback control law, is computed as terminal target set and an associated Lyapunov function is chosen as terminal cost. The combination of these two components guarantees constraint satisfaction and closed-loop stability for all time. Thus, the control law development for the attitude tracking task of spacecraft subject to actuator(namely reaction wheel) uncertainties is addressed in this paper. More specially, the attitude dynamics model of the spacecraft is firstly established under actuator failures and misalignment(without a small angle approximation operation). Then, a new non-singular sliding manifold with fixed time convergence and anti-unwinding properties is proposed, and an adaptive sliding mode control(SMC) strategy is introduced to handle actuator uncertainties, model uncertainties and external disturbances simultaneously. Among this, an explicit misalignment angles range that could be treated herein is offered. Lyapunov-based stability analyses are employed to verify that the reaching phase of the sliding manifold is completed in finite time, and the attitude tracking errors are ensured to converge to a small region of the closest equilibrium point in fixed time once the sliding manifold enters the reaching phase. Finally, the beneficial features of the designed controller are manifested via detailed numerical simulation tests.展开更多

An adaptive gain higher order sliding mode observer has been proposed to estimate the velocity as well as unmeasured disturbances from the noisy position measurements.A differentiator structure containing the Lipschitz constant and Lebesgue measurable control input, is utilized for obtaining the estimates. Adaptive tuning algorithms are derived based on Lyapunov stability theory, for updating the observer gains, which will give enough flexibility in the choice of initial estimates. Moreover, it may help to cope with unexpected state jerks. The trajectory tracking problem is formulated as a finite horizon optimal control problem, which is solved online. The control constraints are incorporated by using a nonquadratic performance functional. An adaptive update law has been derived for tuning the step size in the optimization algorithm, which may help to improve the convergence speed. Moreover, it is an attractive alternative to the heuristic choice of step size for diverse operating conditions. The disturbance as well as state estimates from the higher order sliding mode observer are utilized by the plant output prediction model, which will improve the overall performance of the controller. The nonlinear dynamics defined in leader fixed Euler-Hill frame has been considered for the present work and the reference trajectories are generated using Hill-Clohessy-Wiltshire equations of unperturbed motion. The simulation results based on rigorous perturbation analysis are presented to confirm the robustness of the proposed approach.展开更多

On the basis of feedback linearization of the aircraft-cargo motion system, a novel integral sliding mode flight control law with gains adaptation is proposed. It contains a nominal control law used to achieve finite-time stabilization performance and a compensated control law used to reject the uncertainties. The switching gains of the compensated control law are tuned using adaptation algorithms, and the knowledge of the bounds of the uncertainties is not required to be known in advance. Meanwhile, the severe chattering of the sliding mode control that caused by high switching gains is effectively reduced. The controller and its performance are evaluated on a transport aircraft performing a maximum load airdrop task in a number of simulation scenarios.展开更多

文摘A method for terminal sliding mode control design is discussed. As we know, one of the strong points of terminal sliding mode control is its finite-time convergence to a given equilibrium of the system under consideration, which may be useful in specific applications. The proposed method, different from many existing terminal sliding model control desin methods, is studied, and then feedback laws are designed for a class of nonlinear systems, along with illustrative examples.

文摘This paper investigates the problem of designing a fast convergent sliding mode flight controller of a transport aircraft for heavyweight airdrop operations in the presence of bounded uncertainties without the prior knowledge of the bounds. The controller and its performance are evaluated on a transport aircraft performing a maximum load airdrop task in a number of simulation scenarios.

文摘A robust model predictive control (MPC) algorithm for discrete time linear systems with time-delay (RPC-TDS) subjected to constrained input control is presented, where the polytopic uncertainties exist in state matrices and input matrices. In the algorithm the standard optimization of quadratic objective function has been transformed into optimization of sum of N+1 upper bounds of the quadratic objective function with respect to N control moves and a state feedback control law, where N is the control horizon. The feasibility of the optimization problem guarantees that the algorithm is robustly stable. The simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
