Integrated with the CZM, a fatigue damage evolution model is established to indicate the gradual degradation of cohesive properties of asphalt concrete under cyclic loading. Then the model is implemented in the finite element software ABAQUS through a user-defined subroutine. Based on the proposed model, an indirect tensile fatigue test is finally simulated. The fatigue lives obtained through numerical analysis show good agreement with laboratory results. Fatigue damage accumulates in a nonlinear manner during the cyclic loading process and damage initiation phase is the major part of fatigue failure. As the stress ratio increases, the time of the steady damage growth stage decreases significantly. It is found that the proposed fatigue damage evolution model can serve as an accurate and efficient tool for the prediction of fatigue damage of asphalt concrete.展开更多

The seismic response of a 100-m high concrete face rockfill dam(CFRD), subjected to ground motion with different intensities, was simulated with the three-dimensional finite element method(FEM), with emphasis on exploration of damage and the cracking process of concrete slabs during earthquakes as well as analysis of dynamic damage and cracking characteristics during strong earthquakes. The calculated results show that the number of damaged and cracking elements on concrete slabs grows with the duration of earthquakes. With increasing earthquake intensity, the damaged zone and cracking zone on concrete slabs grow wider. Six 1:200 scale models were designed and tested under distributed impact loads. A device was deployed for a direct measurement of the impact force at the upstream face of the dams. The model dam bases were anchored to prevent displacement. The experimental results indicate that the top part of the concrete dam is a weak zone, and the impact failure initiates with a fracture on the top of the dam. The peak value of impact stress increases when the second crack appears in the concrete dam from the upstream face to the downstream face. And, the level of the second crack in the dam body is lower as the peak value of impact stress increases. In this study, dynamic analysis was conducted by calculating the results to verify the effectiveness of a device to directly measure the impact force. This method may be used to approximately forecast the damage of concrete dam and may also be useful in other engineering applications.展开更多

The proposed model takes the lateral deformation and the effect of repeated cyclic loading into account. Available test results were collected and utilized to calibrate the parameters of the proposed model. A seismic test for six RCFST columns was also performed to validate the proposed damage assessment model. The main test parameters were the recycled coarse aggregate (RCA) replacement percentage and the bond-slip property. The test results indicated that the seismic performance of the RCFST member depends on the RCA contents and their damage index increases as the RCA replacement percentage increases. It is also indicated that the damage degree of RCFST changes with the variation of the RCA replacement percentage. Finally, comparisons between the RCA contents, lateral deformation ratio and damage degree were implemented. It is suggested that an improvement procedure should be implemented in order to compensate for the performance difference between the RCFST and normal concrete filled steel tubes (CFST).展开更多

The proposed model abandons the traditional concept of elastic-plastic yield surface and can better reflect the real behavior of rolled control concrete. Basic equations were proposed for the fluid-solid coupling analysis, and the relationships among the corresponding key physical parameters were also put forward. One three-dimensional finite element method (FEM) program was obtained by studying the FEM type of the seepage-stress coupling intersection of the RCCD. The method was applied to an actual project, and the results show that the fluid-solid interaction influences dam deformation and dam abutment stability, which is in accordance with practice. Therefore, this model provides a new method for revealing the mechanical behavior of RCCD under the coupling field.展开更多

It is developed by integrating a Bodner-Partom viscoplastic model with a newdamage evolution equation. A set of ordinary differential equations( ODEs) is formulated, and a Runge-Kutta integral method is used to get stress-strain curves given by the model. Also,stress-strain curves of a wide range of strain-rates for concrete were obtained by split Hopkinson pressure bar( SHPB) tests. By fitting the integral stressstrain curves to the experimental ones with the least square optimization method,we determined the material parameters in our model. Some properties of the newmodel, such as strain-rate sensitivity, damage evolution characteristics,strain-rate jump effects and unloading feature, are explored. These results showthat our new model can describe dynamic behaviors of concrete very well, and our integrating-fitting-optimizing method to get material parameters is valid.展开更多

The concrete random mesoscopic damage model can depict the entire process of sprouting, growing, connecting, and expanding of cracks on a concrete slab during earthquakes.

文摘To study the effect of a strong underwater shock wave on a concrete dam, this research aims to improve hammer impact methods in model tests. This method may be used to approximately forecast the damage of concrete dam and may also be useful in other engineering applications.

文摘A model for evaluating structural damage of recycled aggregate concrete filled steel tube (RCFST) columns under seismic effects is proposed in this paper. It is suggested that an improvement procedure should be implemented in order to compensate for the performance difference between the RCFST and normal concrete filled steel tubes (CFST).

文摘The C60 concrete blocks with surface crack damage under high temperature environment were soaked by adding appropriate amount of soybean urease into the CO(NH_(2))_(2)-CaCl_(2) solution, the soybean urease mineralized calcium carbonate were characterized, and the effect of repairing concrete surface crack damage were evaluated by the surface sedimentation of C60 concrete blocks in the study. The experimental results showed that the activity of soybean powder was statistically significant, and its productivity of urease was comparable with that of urease-producing bacteria. After immersion in a soybean solution,a layer of complete and continuous white sediment covered the concrete surface. The cracks on the concrete surface were completely shielded, and the rising temperature on infrared thermal image of the concrete after repair was lower than before.Besides, through analysis by SEM,EDS,and XRD,the products formed after repair were found to be calcite-type CaCO_(3) with high purity, and the crystals exhibited different morphological features. The above results indicate that soybean urease can regulate and induce the formation of calcium carbonate, and the precipitate is innocuous and harmless, suitable for a new type of concrete crack repair material.

文摘According to the characteristics of thin-layer rolling and pouting construction technology and the complicated mechanical behavior of the roller compacted concrete dam (RCCD) construction interface, a constitutive model of endochronic damage was established based on the endochronic theory and damage mechanics. Therefore, this model provides a new method for revealing the mechanical behavior of RCCD under the coupling field.

文摘Concrete structures in main coal cleaning plants have been rebuilt and reinforced in the coal mines of the Shanghai Datun Energy Sources Co. Ltd., the first colliery of the Pingdingshan Coal Co. Ltd. and the Sanhejian mine of the Xuzhou Mining Group Co. Ltd. In these projects, the operating environment and reliability of concrete structures in the main plants of the three companies were investigated and the safety of the structures inspected. Qualitative and quantitative analyses were made on the special natural, technological and mechanical environments around the structures. On the basis of these analyses, we discuss the long-term, combined actions of the harsh natural (corrosive gases, liquids and solids) and mechanical environments on concrete structures and further investigated the damage and deteriorating mechanisms and curing techniques of concrete structures in the main coal cleaning plants. Our study can provide a theoretical basis for ensuring the reliability of concrete structures in main coal cleaning plants.

文摘A new viscoplastic damage-softening constitutive model is presented. These results showthat our new model can describe dynamic behaviors of concrete very well, and our integrating-fitting-optimizing method to get material parameters is valid.
文摘This work presents a numerical simulation of ballistic penetration and high velocity impact behavior of plain and reinforced concrete panels. This paper is divided into two parts. The first part consists of numerical modeling of reinforced concrete panel penetrated with a spherical projectile using concrete damage plasticity(CDP)model, while the second part focuses on the comparison of CDP model and Johnson-Holmquist-2(JH-2)damage model and their ability to describe the behavior of concrete panel under impact loads. The first and second concrete panels have dimensions of 1500 mm1500 mm150 mm and 675 mm675 mm200 mm,respectively, and are meshed using 8-node hexahedron solid elements. The impact object used in the first part is a spherical projectile of 150 mm diameter, while in the second part steel projectile of a length of 152 mm is modeled as rigid element.Failure and scabbing characteristics are studied in the first part.In the second part, the comparison results are presented as damage contours, kinetic energy of projectile and internal energy of the concrete. The results revealed a severe fracture of the panel and high kinetic energy of the projectile using CDP model comparing to the JH-2 model. In addition, the internal energy of concrete using CDP model was found to be less comparing to the JH-2 model.

文摘A novel method for detecting early damage at the steel-concrete interface due to external loading based on AC impedance spectroscopy technology was proposed.Firstly, alkali pretreatment was introduced to ensure the accuracy and repeatability of the AC impedance test.Secondly, the AC impedance spectroscopy between the steel bar and concrete surface of different bonding positions was tested, and then the physical quantities reflecting the bonding damage condition were obtained by equivalent circuit fitting.Theoretical debonding position calculation and AC conductive structure analysis indicate that the change of interface resistance and interface capacitance can seize the development of bonding damage during the loading process. As the interface damage develops, obvious changes in interface resistance and interface capacitance are observed, and they cannot be recovered after unloading.

文摘Fatigue failure phenomena of the concrete structures under long-term low amplitude loading have attractedmore attention. Some structures, such as wind power towers, offshore platforms, and high-speed railways, may resist millions of cycles loading during their intended lives.Over the past century, analytical methods for concrete fatigue are emerging. It is concluded that models for the concrete fatigue calculation can fall into four categories:the empirical model relying on fatigue tests, fatigue crack growth model in fracture mechanics, fatigue damage evolution model based on damage mechanics and advanced machine learning model. In this paper,a detailed review of fatigue computing methodology for concrete is presented, and the characteristics of different types of fatigue models have been stated and discussed.
