The main idea is to minimize the sum of the square errors between the amplitude response of the desired FIR filter and that of the designed by training the weights of neural networks, then obtains the impulse response of FIR digital filter . The convergence theorem of the neural networks algorithm is presented and proved, and the optimal design method is introduced by designing four kinds of FIR digital filters , i.e., low-pass, high-pass, bandpass , and band-stop FIR digital filter. The results of the amplitude responses show that attenuation in stop-bands is more than 60 dB with no ripple and pulse existing in pass-bands, and cutoff frequency of passband and stop-band is easily controlled precisely .The presented optimal design approach of high order FIR digital filter is significantly effective.展开更多

The first type of filters uses moving average with weights in time domain, and can be easily operated. Some data will be lost at each end of the time series, especially for the low low-pass filters. The second type of filters uses the discrete Fourier transform filter (DFTF) which operates in the frequency domain, and there are no data loss at the ends for the forward transform. However, owing to the Gibbs phenomenon and the discrete sampling (Nyquist effect) , ringing appears in the inverse transformed data, which is especially serious at each end. Thus some data at the ends are also discarded. The present study tries to find out what causes the ringing and then to seek for methods to overcome the ringing. We have found that there are two kinds of ringings, one is the Gibbs phenomenon, as defined before. The other is the 'Nyquist'ringing due to sampling Nyquist critical frequency. The former is due to the abrupt transition in frequency band. The Gibbs and Nyquist effects show the ringing at each end of the filtered time series. Thus, the use of a cosine taper or a linear taper on the window in the frequency domain makes the transition band smooth, so that the Gibbs phenomenon will be minimized. Before applying the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), the original time series at each end is properly tapered by a split cosine bell that reduces significant ringing since this method limits the energy transfer from outside of the Nyquist frequency. Thus, the DFTF can be a powerful tool to suppress the signals in which we are not interested, with sharp peaks in low frequency variation and less data loss at each end.展开更多

Based on a proposed uncertain model in data transmission, an optimal full-order filter for the state of the system is presented, which is shown to be of the form of employing the received outputs at the current and last time instants. The solution to the optimal filter is given in terms of a Riccati difference equation governed by two binary random variables. The optimal filter is reduced to the standard Kalman filter when there are no random delays and packet dropouts. The steady-state filter is also investigated. A sufficient condition for the existence of the steady-state filter is given. The asymptotic stability of the optimal filter is analyzed.展开更多

Three classes of typical state constraints, i.e., linear equality, quadratic equality and inequality, are discussed. By using the linear relationships among different state variables, a reduced-order Kalman filter is derived for the system with linear equality constraints. Afterwards, such a solution is applied to the cases of the quadratic equality constraint and inequality constraints and the two constrained state filtering problems are transformed into two relative constrained optimization problems. Then they are solved by the Lagrangian multiplier and linear matrix inequality techniques, respectively. Finally, two simple tracking examples are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the reduced-order filters.展开更多

To decrease the number of fine model evaluations, space mapping techniques may be employed. In this approach, it is assumed both fine model and coarse, fast but inaccurate, one are available. First, the coarse model is optimized to obtain design parameters satisfying design objectives. Next, auxiliary parameters are calibrated to match coarse and fine models’ responses. Then, the improved coarse model is re-optimized to obtain new design parameters. The design procedure is stopped when a satisfactory solution is reached. Simulation results show that only two fine model evaluations are sufficient to get satisfactory results.展开更多

Maximum power point tracking(MPPT) is one of the most important working conditions to be considered. In order to improve the performance such as convergence and robustness under disturbance and uncertainty,a fractional order high pass filter(FOHPF) is applied for the MPPT controller design based on the traditional extremum seeking control(ESC). The controller is designed with integerorder integrator(IO-I) and low pass filter(IO-LPF) together with fractional order high pass filter(FOHPF), by substituting the normal HPF in the original ESC system. First, tracking stability is discussed under the commensurate-order condition. Then, simulation results are included to validate the proposed new FOHPF ESC scheme under disturbance. Thus, the DFTF can be a powerful tool to suppress the signals in which we are not interested, with sharp peaks in low frequency variation and less data loss at each end.

The controller is designed with integerorder integrator(IO-I) and low pass filter(IO-LPF) together with fractional order high pass filter(FOHPF), by substituting the normal HPF in the original ESC system. With this FOHPF ESC,better convergence and smoother performance are achieved while maintaining the robust specifications. First, tracking stability is discussed under the commensurate-order condition. Then, simulation results are included to validate the proposed new FOHPF ESC scheme under disturbance. Finally, comparison results between FOHPF ESC and the traditional ESC method are also provided.

文摘High quality speed information is one of the key issues in machine sensorless drives, which often requires proper filtering of the estimated speed. This paper comparatively studies typical low-pass filters(LPF)and phase-locked loop(PLL)type filters with respect to ramp speed reference tracking and steady-state performances,as well as the achievement of adaptive cutoff frequency control. An improved LPF-based filter structure with no ramping and steady-state errors caused by filter parameter quantization effects is proposed, which is suitable for applying LPF for sensorless drives of AC machines, especially when fixed-point digital signal processor is selected e.g.in mass production.Furthermore, the potential of adopting PLL for speed filtering is explored. It is demonstrated that PLL type filters can well maintain the advantages offered by the improved LPF.Moreover,it is found that the PLL type filters exhibit almost linear relationship between the cutoff frequency of the PLL filter and its proportional-integral(PI)gains,which can ease the realization of speed filters with adaptive cutoff frequency for improving the speed transient performance. The proposed filters are verified experimentally. The PLL type filter with adaptive cutoff frequency can provide satisfactory performances under various operating conditions and is therefore recommended.

文摘In this paper,a 5G wideband power amplifier(PA)with bandpass filtering response is synthesized using a bandwidth-extended bandpass filter as the matching network(MN).In this structure, the bandwidth(θ_(C))is defined as a variable in the closedform equations provided by the microstrip bandpass filter. It can be extended over a wide range only by changing the characteristic impedances of the structure.Different from the other wideband MNs,the extension of bandwidth does not increase the complexity of the structure(order n is fixed). In addition, based on the bandwidth-extended structure, the wideband design of bandpass filtering PA is not limited to the fixed bandwidth of the specific filter structure. The theoretical analysis of the MN and the design flow of the PA are provided in this design. The fabricated bandpass filtering PA can support almost one-octave bandwidth(2-3.8 GHz),covering the two 5G bands(n41 and n78).The drain efficiency of 47%-60%and output power higher than 40 dBm are measured.Good frequency selectivity in S-parameter measurements can be observed.

文摘A general multiple-loop feedback approach for realization of Four-Terminal Floating Nullor RC(FTFN-RC) filter is presented. The proposed filter is constructed by multi-output FTFNs, capacitors and resistors. It can simultaneously realize slow-pass, band-pass(if order is even number), and high-pass filter responses. With RC elements grounded and requiring no component matching con-straints, it is fully integrated conveniently.Simulations are performed for the fourth-order Butterworth filter to verify the validity of the circuit.
