In this paper, a fixed time integral sliding mode controller is designed based on fixed time stability theory, which ensures precise convergence of the state variables of controlled system, and overcomes the drawback of convergence time growing unboundedly as the initial value increases in finite time controller. It makes the controlled system converge to the control objective within a fixed time bounded by a constant as the initial value grows, and convergence time can be changed by adjusting parameters of controllers properly. Compared with other fixed time controllers, the fixed time integral sliding mode controller proposed in this paper achieves chattering-free control, and integral expression is used to avoid singularity generated by derivation. Finally, the controller is used to stabilize four-order chaotic power system. The results demonstrate that the controller realizes the non-singular chattering-free control of chaotic oscillation in the power system and guarantees the fixed time convergence of state variables, which shows its higher superiority than other finite time controllers.展开更多

The fixed time convergence theory is incorporated with the sliding mode control technique to ensure that the system tracks the desired command within uniform bounded time under different initial conditions. Unlike previous terminal sliding mode approaches, the bound of settling time is independent of the initial state, which means performance metrics like convergence rate can be predicted beforehand. To reduce the burden of control design in terms of robustness, extended state observer(ESO) is introduced for uncertainty estimation with the output substituted into the controller as feedforward compensation. Cascade control structure is employed with the proposed control law and therein the compound control signal is obtained.Afterwards, control inputs for two kinds of actuators are allocated on the basis of their inherent characteristics. In the case of Weibull distribution,a life reliability model of bladder energy storage is established by Bayesian method using the optimal confidence intervals method,a model of one-sided lower confidence intervals of the reliability and one-sided lower confidence intervals model of the reliability life are established. Results of experiments show that the evaluation method of no failure data under Weibull distribution is a good way to evaluate the reliability of the accumulator,which is convenient for engineering application,and the reliability of the accumulator has theoretical and practical significance.展开更多
It is widely recognized that developed countries have been spending more than developing countries on health care. Objective of the study is to examine determinants of health expenditure and what factors influence it....It is widely recognized that developed countries have been spending more than developing countries on health care. Objective of the study is to examine determinants of health expenditure and what factors influence it. Fifteen Asian countries and 30 OECD countries were chosen to explore the difference of their health expenditure structures. Model of health expenditure per person was estimated to be dependent on market demand, market supply, and other exogenous factors. A model with country specific and time effects of health expenditure was used and estimated. The study found a negative but insignificant relationship between price and health expenditure and a positive and significant relationship between GDP and health expenditure. Urban population density as proxy of urbanization was found to induce the health expenditure in the OECD. Out-of-pocket payment was also found to induce health expenditure for both the Asian and the OECD countries. A net effect of improvement in the health status or a lower mortality rate and a higher life expectancy caused an increase in the health expenditure among the Asian countries studied but decreased health expenditure in the OECD countries. In terms of income elasticity, it was found to be smaller than one in both groups of the countries. Since the income has changed faster than the other factors, the net effect of changes of all factors over period of time will cause rising in health care expenditure. Finally, the model indicated that both the Asian and OECD countries will continue to have a rising health expenditure per person over a period of time.展开更多
To improve the efficiency and stability of data transmission in the long-range(LoRa) Internet of things(IoT),a hybrid time slot allocation algorithm is proposed, which implements a priority mechanism with high-priorit...To improve the efficiency and stability of data transmission in the long-range(LoRa) Internet of things(IoT),a hybrid time slot allocation algorithm is proposed, which implements a priority mechanism with high-priority nodes sending data in fixed time slots and low-priority nodes using the carrier sense multiple access(CSMA) algorithm to compete for shared time slots to transmit data. To improve network efficiency, a gateway is used to adjust the time slot allocation policy according to network status and balance the number of fixed and shared time slots. And more, a retransmission time slot is added to the time slot allocation algorithm, which redesigns the time frame structure, and adopts a retransmission mechanism to improve communication reliability. Simulation and measurement results show that the packet loss rate and transmission delay of the proposed hybrid algorithm are smaller than those of the fixed slot allocation algorithm, making the proposed algorithm more suitable for LoRa IoT.展开更多
